The next morning
Xiaoxiao and Yang Ming had just gotten up and finished breakfast when the Yang Family arrived.
As soon as Yang’s father entered the room, he hurriedly asked, "Third son, third son, how are you?"
Everyone else followed him inside, surrounding Yang Ming right away. Seeing him leaning there, Yang’s father choked up and said, "Third son, you’ve really suffered."
"Dad, I’m fine." Yang Ming replied, knowing this would happen.
Although Xiaoxiao had told Yang Ming that this couldn’t be kept a secret, she said it in anger; she still understood whether it should be hidden. Yang Xia had just given birth and couldn’t afford to worry about this, because if she gets too stressed, she might lose her milk, and the baby would suffer along. So, at least they had to keep it from the two of them.
Therefore, when Yang Dong and Yang Qiu returned home, she specifically reminded them to say they hadn’t seen Yang Ming at the Escort Agency, claiming that the agency had business and she stayed to help for a few days, telling them to go home first and not worry about her.
Seeing how things were now, it seemed they held back until this morning, and Yang Dong and Yang Qiu had reached their limit and spilled the beans as soon as they left the Guo Mansion.
Seeing the situation, Xiaoxiao asked, "Dad, did you just come like this, and won’t the coachman from the Guo Mansion report back?"
"Third son’s wife, we’re just stopping by briefly. We only asked the coachman if you were coming back, didn’t mention the third son’s situation."

Everyone gathered around Yang Ming, expressing concern and scolding him for quite a while, and only reluctantly left after reminding them to take care of his injury.
Once his family had left, Yang Ming spoke, "Wife, what do you say, shall we go home too?"
To be honest, he missed home. He had been away for so long, and with his injuries, he was at his most vulnerable and sensitive, making him long for home even more. Plus, there was his son, Little Liufu; he hadn’t had the chance to see him enough earlier, and all these thoughts made him unable to refrain from speaking up. He knew his wife would surely scold him.
As expected, Xiaoxiao was livid upon hearing this. If not for his current injuries, she’d want to smack him, "Are you crazy?"
Yang Ming said nothing, but his expression showed disappointment and a longing to return home.
Xiaoxiao could see it, feeling a twinge of sympathy, she said, "Wait here."
She then went out to find the doctor at the Escort Agency to ask whether Yang Ming’s condition allowed him to return home. The response was that it would definitely not be beneficial for his wound’s healing, but it was not impossible. As long as the carriage traveled slowly and they were careful on the road, any issues must be addressed promptly.
Xiaoxiao noted all of this down and then brought some people back inside.
Yang Ming was very surprised to see his companions come in; what was his wife up to?
Xiaoxiao glanced at Yang Ming, rolling her eyes, "Weren’t you wanting to go home? We’re leaving now. However, returning home isn’t good for your wound, so you’ll have to endure some pain en route. We’ll travel very slowly and might spend one night on the road, arriving home by tomorrow evening. Shall we go?"
Hearing this, Yang Ming was overjoyed; a bit of pain isn’t a big deal as it won’t kill him, and he understood that his wife had made all the necessary preparations before agreeing for him to return home, meaning he wouldn’t die.
Thus, he happily responded, "Let’s go!"
So, after the Yang Family left, Yang Ming and Xiaoxiao also set off on their journey, finally arriving home on the following night.
