Chapter 1782 - 1784: Seeking Advice
After eating, before Xiaoxiao left the house, she specifically said to Yang Dong, "Fourth brother, you know when we went to Li Chuntao’s house on the second day of the lunar new year, it seems like I heard their family mention they’re going to the County to see the lantern festival on the fifteenth. Maybe you’ll run into them tomorrow."
Having said this, Xiaoxiao cheerfully went out.
Leaving Yang Dong standing there, feeling utterly bewildered.
He found it a bit difficult to contain his excited heart.
Could he really bump into Li Chuntao tomorrow?
No matter what, he has to prepare well.
He hurried back to his room and took out all of his clothes.
Standing there, comparing and assessing which outfit might look better.
This one isn’t right.
This one isn’t right either.
He felt that no matter which outfit he put on, he still looked like a peasant, not at all like his third brother who looked scholarly in his clothes. He was frustrated beyond measure, regretting not having bought a lighter-colored outfit earlier, as these ones only made him look older.
Just at that moment, the three little rascals in the house came in.
They came to learn words with him and saw their fourth uncle standing there, comparing outfits, and asked in confusion, "Fourth Uncle, what are you doing?"
Seeing the three little ones arrive, Yang Dong seemed to find a group of advisors, quickly asking, "You all take a look, which outfit looks best on Fourth Uncle."
"..." The three little ones just thought that today’s fourth uncle seemed like a different person; he was never like this before.
Even though puzzled, they helped with picking, and ultimately the three little ones unanimously thought that the light grey one looked fairly good.
After deciding this, Yang Dong said, "I’m not studying today, go to your aunt to learn."
After shooing the three little ones away, Yang Dong picked up a comb and started combing his hair, thinking about how to style it for tomorrow to make it look more presentable, so Li Chuntao wouldn’t find him displeasing. Last time at the teahouse, it seemed like he annoyed her again.
If someone didn’t know better, they’d think Yang Dong was a maiden preparing to meet her beloved with such fussing over himself.
His hair was combed until gleaming!
Yang Dong pondered further, if he really did run into Li Chuntao tomorrow, what would he say to her?
Thinking it over again and again, he figured, that maybe he should seek advice. In the family, his eldest brother and sister-in-law spent the most time together, he should ask his eldest brother.
So he knocked on his elder brother’s door, "Elder brother, come out, I need to ask you something."
Yang Chun had just lain down and was called up, dressed and went out, "Fourth brother, what’s up?"
Yang Dong pulled Yang Chun over and began to ask, "I just want to ask you, before you got married, how did you interact with sister-in-law?"
As soon as these words came out, Yang Chun immediately understood what Yang Dong meant. He didn’t know how to interact with Li Chuntao, so he came to ask him. But for matters like these, he wasn’t that knowledgeable either; when he got married, he didn’t even know what his wife looked like, let alone talking about interactions. So he said, "Fourth brother, elder brother isn’t very good with things like this, unlike second brother and third brother. How about you ask second brother and third brother?"
Yang Dong had no choice but to ask second brother, and when Yang Gang was called out, "Fourth brother, what’s wrong?"
"Second brother, how did you make second sister-in-law so devoted to you?"
Yang Gang was half-asleep, not thinking much about Yang Dong’s question, "How else? On the wedding night, I directly threw your second sister-in-law down and then she devotedly followed your second brother. Why are you asking? Are you asking about that sort of thing? If you don’t know, second brother can properly tell you, second brother would talk to you about..."
Then Yang Dong’s ears were filled with all sorts of things, making him blush scarlet, thinking he really shouldn’t have asked second brother.
