Chapter 151: Great News.
It had been four months since their son left the castle. Rhoarin and Elena were now regarded as the Patriarch and Matriarch of the Ironfell empire. They were swamped with work and responsibilities every waking day, but it did not make them miss their only child any less.
Occasionally, they found time to spend with one another as they loved each other very much and one could not do without the other.
Rhoarin was flipping through pages of his father’s memoirs in his study, a small pair of glasses hung very comfortably on his nose.
The room smelled of furniture and books, the morning light draped in through the clear windows. The man wore a silver shirt made entirely of silk and a pair of long, jet black trouser. His hair was tied neatly in a ponytail as he stroked his chin.
He was an avid reader of many things, and loved to find out more about the era before his own. Hence why he read so much of his father’s writing.
Even though he would not say it directly to his face, he admired the man very much.
There was a clicking sound, tbe door was opened. He raised his head to gaze upon who would dare interrupt his study session without knocking on the door.
In the doorway stood a woman, her luscious brown hair flowed all the way down to her clavicles. Her eyes were a warm brown color. She wore a white dress that clung to her curvy body in the most perfect way.
It was his wife Elena. She had a wide smile on her face, suggesting she was very excited about something as she walked into the room elegantly.
Rhoarin could not hold himself back from smiling as he watched her like a movie.
"What is my big strong husband studying so early in the morning?" She asked before settling down in his lap, she fit perfectly.
"Well you know me, I just had to take my mind away from the stress." Rhoarins smiled as he grabbed her hand and held it in his. "But enough about me, I can see the excitement all over your face. Spill it."
She bit her lower lip and stood from his lap, walking over to the other side slowly, as though she were about to drop very big news for him. Rhoarin knew his wife was dramatic, it was most likely something that didn’t require much attention.
"Do you, notice anything different about me?" She asked, looking deep in his eyes as she leaned over the table.
"Only that you seem to grow even more beautiful everyday, I fear you might become a goddess and transcend to the heavens, leaving a mortal like me behind." He joked.
She laughed, she always laughed at his jokes, even the boring ones, another reason why he was deeply, unavoidably in love with her. "Well... I used a life checking pill this morning—"
Rhoarin’s eyes widened, he quickly rose from his seat and walked over to her, his eyes not leaving hers for one moment.
"And?" He asked as he grabbed both her hands, his expression softening as he looked at her.
She could not keep the excitement to herself any longer. "My spiritual aura... it was gold." She said as a tear rolled down her cheek, smiling.
Rhoarin picked her up and spun around, causing this woman to laugh hysterically. He dropped her and kissed her deeply, then pulled away.
"This calls for a celebration." He said as he bent over slightly, rubbing her belly.
"You know spinning me like that is bad for the baby."
"Oohhh! I’m sorry, I’m sorry."

"We have to tell Jacob that he’ll be a big brother soon." Elena said, she now sat on the table, her legs on Rhoarin’s lap as he massaged them.
"How do you think he will take the news?" He asked, then looked up at her.
They had planned for years to have a second child, but it never worked, which is why they were both so excited about this one. All the nurses had said something along the lines of how birthing Jacob had made it very difficult for her to conceive again.
"If he doesn’t respond with the same enthusiasm we have then I’ll fly over there and beat him up myself." She responded, folding her arms.
Rhoarin laughed, Elena was ordinarily a dramatic woman, he slowly prepared himself for how she was going to behave during her pregnancy.
He feared and loved it at the same time, his body was filled with happiness. This was what he had always wanted. Although he already had a son, he wanted a daughter.
He would be happy with another boy but he specifically prayed to the heavens for a daughter. Although they didn’t know yet what gender the child was, they would soon find out. He hoped.
"Don’t be too hard on the boy." Rhoarin said without looking at her this time, she was starting to enjoy the massage a little too much.
"You’re probably right, he should be happy he’s getting a brother or a sister." She cracked her leg and leaned back, moaning lightly as Rhoarin pressed her pressure points.
Her sounds were beginning to stir up something inside him and he hit her leg lightly, telling her to calm down.
There was a soft knock on the door.
"Come in." Elena said.
A small maiden walked in, she was wearing a maid outfit and had her hair packed in a bun, she was young. "Good day Patriarch. Matriarch. How may I be of assistance today?"
"Good, Esther, welcome. From today I’m appointing you as my wife’s personal caretaker. You see, we are expecting a new Ironfell." Rhoarin said as he rubbed his wife’s belly. She had told him she doesn’t need a caretaker, but he insisted, he pampered her too much.
Esther’s eyes widened as she heard those words, and a smile appeared on her face. "Congratulations My Lord, My Lady!"
"Thank you Esther." Elena smiled back.
"You will do everything for her—she wants water, you provide water—she wants food, you provide food—she wants clothes, you let me know. Is that understood?" Rhoarin commanded.
"Yes Patriarch." Esther curtsied.
