Just as they stepped in, Light was coming down the stairs, he did not have Anissa on his arm as he had perpetually did every day for the last week. By the look on his face, it was obvious that he was pretty relieved about it.

He loved her, very much, and he had never been in a relationship before, but sometimes he required his space. Anissa was not so thick headed that she didn’t understand the concept of space. Even though it pained her, she still knew that men had to be men sometimes, something she had learned from the relationship that her father had with her mother.

As Light walked down the stairs, he noticed Jacob holding Xenia up as though her leg was broken, he quickly rushed towards them to find out what was going on.

"Whoa! Guys! What happened? Xenia? Did you break your leg or something?" He found him self completely worried about this woman he claimed to have forgotten. After the words spilled out of his mouth uncontrollably, he realized he still felt something for Xenia, maybe not as strong as what he had for Anissa, but it was there, undeniably.

"It’s okay Light, I’m just tired." Xenia responded as she clung on to Jacob, in a way that made Light’s chest hot.

"Yeah she was just trying to keep up with me and couldn’t." Jacob joked, causing Xenia to frown at him without saying a word.

"Keep up with you? What do you mean." Light inquired, confusion written all over his face, he knew he shouldn’t feel this way about Xenia, especially now that he had Anissa, but he was never able to control himself.

"Yeah I have this exercise regimen I have to complete every morning. This morning, Xenia decided to go with me—and as it turns out, she could not keep up." Jacob explained as the three of them had begun moving slowly along the hallway.

The shuffling feet for the servants that moved around nonstop could be heard in the echoing hallway.

"Oh. Thank the heavens! I thought it was something very serious." Light heaved a sigh of relief. "So, are you prepared for your battle with Heimdall?"

Jacob said nothing, he only looked at Light with a slightly shocked expression on his face.

"What?" Light asked. "Wait, you thought I didn’t know? Come on, there’s no way the children of the Primarch would not know about something like this."

"I guess so." Jacob concurred, he thought the Primarch a private man, but he also understood that news travels very fast. In this case, the man might have told his wife, who I turn would tell her children, those children would tell their wives and children.

Before long, the entire estate would know about it. Jacob sighed as he opened their room door, helping Xenia to the bed, where she sat and let out a breath. She had already made up her mind that she was never doing this with Jacob again, she would stick to strictly cultivating from now on.

"Well, if I’m being honest with you, I don’t know how it’ll go, I’m hoping I win." Jacob said as he put a towel around his neck.

"Yeah, I understand it brother, Heimdall truly scares me, I struggled with Yannick, and Yannick struggles against Heimdall, so if it was me, I’d be very worried haha." Light explained as he chuckled nervously. "I’m rooting for you anyways. We’ll all be there, at least everyone that matters."

"Thanks bro."

"Well let me get back to Anissa before she starts throwing a tantrum." Light laughed as he stood up, making sure that Xenia was okay before he leaves.

"That relationship of yours, very unhealthy bro, I tell you." Jacob said with a straight face, he was already prepared to go into the washroom, he still had some things to do before he stepped in the ring with the famous butler.

"Hey! Hold it right there! When you get a girlfriend, then you can give me advice, okay?" Light scolded him, he knew the young man would get defensive and he had prepared for it.

There was no advising these kinds of people, Jacob had been burned enough times in his past life to know that true knowledge came from experience.

So far, Light had only experienced the joys of love, he was yet to see the ugly side a love like that could produce.

He quickly raised his hand in surrender. "Sorry sorry, I spoke out of turn." He said as he bade the young man goodbye and went into the washroom to freshen himself up.

By the time he was done, he had on battle appropriate clothing, at least that’s what he thought. A white shirt, and a white pair of trousers; all covered by a jet black royal robe. He stared in the mirror admiring himself for more than a moment before turning back to face Xenia, who was still writhing in pain from her morning exercises.

"How do I look?" Jacob asked as he spread his robe apart, revealing the outfit he wore inside.

Xenia turned around to look at him, and without saying a word, she gave him a thumbs up and then turned back, she was already drifting off into sleep, she would wake up in time for the young master’s battle with the butler. For now, she had to rest.

The battle was in four hours, Jacob smiled at Xenia’s reaction before turning toward the door. He could already feel the anticipation building within him. Jacob didn’t know if he had the capacity to deal with the power that Heimdall possessed, but one thing was certain—he had no intention of losing. He had spent a lot of time preparing for this moment. Jacob would face whatever challenge that lay ahead of him head-on, like he had always done. With one final glance at Xenia, he stepped out of the room, his expression becoming serious as he made his way toward the battlefield. He glanced to his left and saw a maiden walking towards him. It wasn’t Emily this time, she introduced herself as Marilyn.

"Nice to make your acquaintance Marilyn, kindly escort me to meet the Primarch."
