Chapter 128: A Wish Come True
Fu Mingxue pushed the door open and saw Elder Ji walking toward her. With him were several other older people, including Director Zheng.
They saw Fu Mingxue as well.
Old Ji hurried over. "Mingxue, are you finished with the drawing?"
Fu Mingxue nodded. "Yes, it’s done!"
Old Ji eagerly entered the workshop.
He had actually come to check on her progress before. He had stopped by several times over the last three days while Fu Mingxue was engrossed in her work.
So, he had seen Fu Mingxue drawing the blueprints with his own eyes.
The others also quickly followed him inside.
They all gathered around the blueprint—
The longer they looked, the more astonished and delighted they became.
If an engine were built according to this blueprint, it could solve some of the biggest problems with current engines.
Such as a lack of power.
"Of course—how did I never think of that!" Old Ji was incredibly excited.
He was an expert in this field, after all.
He had been shocked when he’d seen it before, but that was nothing compared to the impact of seeing the completed blueprint.
They were all experts in the field; they understood the designs with a single glance.
At this point, they were utterly in awe of Fu Mingxue.
They never imagined that Fu Mingxue—a woman so young—could make a breakthrough on a problem that had long stumped them.
This new engine could be used in aviation and other fields.
’They had to keep a talent like this. And judging by the knowledge she’d demonstrated, there was no need for her to go to university at all.’
Old Ji and the others studied the blueprints for a while longer, unable to tear themselves away.
Only then did he look up at Fu Mingxue.
"Fu Mingxue, would you be willing to come work for the research institute?"
Upon hearing this, Fu Mingxue finally breathed an inward sigh of relief. "I am."

’I thought I’d be working here.’
"That’s acceptable. However, I have one question regarding the university. I still want to take the required exams and graduate properly. I want to earn my university diploma."
This was something she had longed for across two lifetimes.
’Besides, later on, not having a university diploma would surely cause problems with promotions and other things.’

Old Ji breathed a sigh of relief when he heard her concern. "Don’t you worry about that. That can be arranged."
He turned his head to look at Director Zheng. "Old Zheng, this is a matter for your university. You explain it to Fu Mingxue."
Director Zheng immediately explained, "You’ll just have to participate in the key exams each semester. Then you’ll be issued your diploma."
"Great, no problem." Her wish had come true.
She would be able to get her university diploma and have a job she was passionate about.
’This is absolutely perfect!’
"Alright, let’s go take care of the paperwork first. I’ll give you a day to spend with your family at home. We’ll depart the day after tomorrow. Of course, housing will be provided there. It’s also fine if your family can come with you. Qin Wenhao’s military unit is very close by as well."
Old Ji had looked into Fu Mingxue’s background and knew she had a widowed mother and two children.
As it happened, Qin Wenhao’s military base was also in S Province, right next to their institute.
