Reborn Ishl and the Magic Fixture of God
[Night Talk] The Prisoner Princess of Braca
Oh, my God, kid.
You're out of stories now, aren't you?
Don't mess with me. I'll tell you a story I've always taken care of today.
It was a very exciting story in Braga at the time. Back then, there were all sorts of rumors about the tails flying all over Braga. I was one of the parties. I'll tell you plenty today.
Huh? No, no, Mr. Imal, that's not true. Today's story is not just a silly one. Of course, hehe, there's no nasty talk.
That's, like, over a decade old, no, more old, when I was just too young for twenty.
At the time, I was hired in a big castle at the tip of the Cape called Agustina, guarding the port of Burga. The castle's name was also Agustina Castle, and it was a famous castle without the Mediterranean strangers, standing atop the cliffs of the Cape.
The castle was surrounded by even higher walls from the top of the cape, and it was a beautiful castle with a number of tall towers, with a good view of the blue sea and white castles in the sky.
Under the castle, there was a small harbour on the edge of the cape, about ten large and small military ships, and the castle of Agustina was originally built to protect the harbour.
Well, I specialize in land. I didn't really get along with the guys in the harbor on the military ship.
So, I was hired by the castle as a mercenary for five years as deputy captain of the castle tower guard.
Hmm? Young but awesome? Well, I guess so, because I was good at it. hehe.
Well, the truth is, there were a few deputy captains, and I was one of them. The deputy captain was guarding the castle tower one by one, and I had about five of my men put on it. It was called the tower, the White Tower, but the White Tower was guarded and choreographed.
In the tower, a princess from a small country called Givik, on the continent of Belmura across the sea, not called Herita, was imprisoned.
Caetano next to Burga is eating in the same business as Burga, there is a country that is not close to Burga, but when the prince of Givik enters there, a military ship from Castle Agustina attacked the princess's ship.
Apparently, Gibik's ship had quite a handful of soldiers on it, but in the midst of the riots, the ones on the military ship succeeded in taking several of the princess's female officers hostage successfully, and the ones on Gibik's ship surrendered on the direct orders of the princess. So I captured the princess and the accompanying women and ministers and took them back to the castle.
The castle lord of Agustina Castle, Grand Duke Marslan, the man who hits the uncle of the king of Burga, but he has known for a long time that this guy is someone's pussy or something and that Givik's princess is aboard that ship. You must have let the castle's military ship attack you with the intention of capturing that princess from the beginning.
At first, they were going to capture Gibik's princess and sprinkle it for ransom on Kaetano or Gibik, but this princess is obviously something else. He was like a specimen of an exotic Belmura beauty with silver hair flowing through his wheat skin. So, Grand Duke fell in love with the princess at first sight, and he was already snooping around.
So the Grand Duke began to masterfully guard me, locking the princess in the most beautiful and tallest tower in the castle, the White Tower, and wondering if he could manage to make it his own.
All the ladies, ministers and dwarves who had followed the princess were put in the barn, and then sold or killed as labor slaves in whorehouses, mines and harbors, but only one, a minister who had followed the princess, had a boy who hit the princess's cousin, and the Grand Duke found out that the princess was very adorable, made a deal in Princess Herita.
I will not sell or kill the boy as a slave, on the contrary, I will treat him as the rest of the servant, so be the rest of the mistress.
The princess accepted the deal. The boy became Grand Duke's minister. But the minister is famous, he just became captain of ten soldiers boarding Agustina's military ship. Well, you're just like me. Besides, unlike castle duty, the guys on the boat always look dangerous.
Huh? You wouldn't like a Grand Duke. He was the one who didn't like the fact that the castle was away from the royal palace in Burga. The woman would kill the minister she didn't like if she put alcohol in it.
Moreover, the Grand Duke took a deal with Princess Herita, while also taking a deal with her cousin's boy. Don't put the princess in jail, I'll treat you like a guest, so you can be my man and work desperately. Apparently the boy fought hardest when he was attacked by Agustina's military ship. The one the Grand Duke could use, I guess he was stepping on. Of course the boy accepted a deal with the Grand Duke.
This is how Grand Duke Marslan tricked the two of them into taking it on his hands and doing what he wanted.
One time, a Bulga merchant ship was attacked by Hydra. Hydra is like a haunted sea snake with nine necks. It's the scariest warcraft there is. The numbers are small, but they show up every once in a while and do bad things. A small boat would sink into it.
The military vessel of Castle Agustina was also sent out to crusade this guy, and Hydra often attacked him, and when the fishermen of Braga were fishing, he went nearby and guarded the fishermen, and he stood up to show up.
Hydra often eats up fisherman's catch with every net and takes the whole thing. Because of the large number of heads, they do it many times at a time. The fisherman who got hit didn't stop. Hydra really was particularly fearful and hated by the fishermen.
A few days later, as they read on the military ship, Hydra came out. While Hydra was sticking her neck in the fisherman's boat sink, she surrounded herself with a military boat and shot in a bunch of candles, making sure she couldn't escape, shooting spears and bows in and hurting herself, but that's just the big guy, he's not too weak. I had so many necks that I couldn't get close to them, so I couldn't get a fatal injury. This one is getting more injured. Now, I don't know what to do. Sometimes the boy who was captain of the ten ships, the cousin of the princess, jumped into the sea alone with a huge knife in his mouth.
As the boy first came out of the water in the front of Hydra to fly at an unstoppable speed in his eyes, he just happened to chop off Hydra's neck. And when he dived into the water again, he came up on the body of Hydra, now raging around in pain, and as he was about to be shaken down again and again, he grabbed his prick and spear and twitched closer to his neck. As one of Hydra's necks turned toward the boy, the boy's knife flashed as if waiting for it, and another one of Hydra's necks fell off. As another Hydra's neck tried to chase him, the boy kicked Hydra's body and jumped big behind him, spinning like a bender in the air to escape into the sea. and now jump out of the sea on the left side of Hydra with tremendous momentum to cut off Hydra's neck again.
The boy jumped around in and out of the water like that, chopping off all nine of those necks. The men of the military ship are delighted by the brutal battle of a boy they've never seen before. He was finally able to defeat Hydra by shooting one spear after another into the weakening Hydra.
Givik's boy became Agustina's hero.
Boy, I should have been just about your age. There's a great one in the world, right?
So the boy was to be immediately rewarded by Grand Duke Marslan.
A few days after crusading Hydra, the boy was called before the Grand Duke. Rewards are gold and silver coins that are just flooded with locked crates.
There are a lot of mercenaries over there. When it comes to rewards, it's money. It's not like it's a sword with a name or a cape or a title or anything. Kim.
The boy knelt before the Grand Duke, when the Grand Duke praised and praised the boy's courage, and when those on his side tried to hand the crate with gold to the boy. The boy took out a small knife about where he had hidden it when he thought he raised his hips to receive the crate and slashed it on the Grand Duke at a tremendous speed. I poked my chest, my heart.
Apparently that was as fast as divinity. Hopefully when he defeated Hydra, the boy had magic equipment that could move quickly like the magic used by the Red Eyed Wolf. It must have been brought as an escort for the princess.
Everyone thought the Grand Duke was dead at that moment. But it was the boy who died.
The Grand Duke had magic equipment, too.
At the moment when the tip of the boy's knife touched the Grand Duke's chest, in a truly frivolous time, the Grand Duke was able to make his right hand touch the bracelet he had put on his left arm. An ancient bracelet made of jade is a magic fixture, and when you touch it with your hand, it seems that the magic fixture moves.
It was called "mirror magic," for people to say, and it was horrible magic of returning all the attacks directed at them, as they were, to the person they had attacked.
What's up, kid? Difficult face.
So, the moment the boy stabbed the Grand Duke in the chest with a knife, the boy's necklace beads cracked and bright red blood bled out of his chest, and the boy died. Of course the Grand Duke did not bear one injury. I didn't even scratch one of the clothes I was wearing. The boy's return blood stained him bright red.
In an attempt to take away the magic equipment the boy was using, the Grand Duke made him look into what the dead boy was wearing, but he couldn't find anything like this in particular. Apparently the boy's necklace was a magic fixture. Just in the same position where the boy stabbed the Grand Duke in the chest, there was a boy's necklace bead.
The boy's body was thrown from the castle to the sea.
Then all that were in the sight were slain, except those who had served the Grand Duke for generations, and those from Braga, because of the sealing of their mouths.
A few days later, a young woman on the castle threw herself into the sea from above the walls. Thank you. The woman seems to have been close to the dead boy. I mean, she must have been in love. The woman was rumored to have followed the boy, but since that time she has heard many stories from the women of the castle. Especially when it comes to Grand Duke's usual behavior. I guess the women felt sorry for the woman who threw herself with the boy. The boy looked like a princess.
The women's story says the boy tried to kill the Grand Duke because the boy found out that the Grand Duke had made the princess his mistress.
From the moment he found out about the Grand Duke's betrayal, the boy was after the opportunity to kill the Grand Duke. I guess the woman who followed the boy was telling the boy about the princess.
Then a while later, more important happened at the White Tower.
I was on duty at the tower just that day. I was at the top of the tower that night, in the princess's room. Next to the door to the princess's room, she stands all the way up to the time of the change of dawn. That day was a little earlier than usual, and by the time of the evening, the Grand Duke came over to the princess's room. A while after the Grand Duke went inside, he heard the Grand Duke's wild shouts and the princess's screams.
When I hurried in and opened the door to the room and went inside, on a bed with a canopy, they were facing each other.
The Princess blamed the Grand Duke for breaking his promise and killing the boy, and the Grand Duke desperately said that he had no choice because the boy was about to kill him.
A large swing of knife was gripped on both arms of the princess, whose blade tip was pointed at the Grand Duke.
The Grand Duke tries to slip out of bed, the princess leans over, where the Grand Duke puts his hand on the emerald bracelet.
Well, I don't care about the color mess with the princess, but it's a waste of my life.
The Grand Duke slowly came out of bed with his right hand on his bracelet. The princess thought she would stab the archduke with that gap, and went into unexpected behavior.
I suddenly turned the knife I was pointing at the Grand Duke and slit my own throat.
Do you understand?
As a result, the princess was perfectly intact, and the Grand Duke bled up from her neck and happened to die.
The princess then threw herself through the window of the tower and died.
The magic of the mirror had terrible flaws, terrible pitfalls.
If you move a magic tool, it returns any attack to the person who attacked you, while if the attacking party attacked itself at that time, there's a hell of a pitfall that the attack will now turn back to the person who moved the magic tool in the mirror.
Nobody knows now if the princess knew about it, or if she tried to come up with one or eight or throw it away. As I saw it, he tried to make enemies of the boy, but he couldn't fulfill it, put it on the Grand Duke, maybe he was just trying to hurt himself in front of the Grand Duke.
The body of the Grand Duke was transported to the royal palace in Burga and buried in the royal tomb, but no one tried to take that magic fixture. No one even touched the bracelet.
That's right. It seems dangerous just to have that, useless. No one should want magic equipment.
A few days after the princess surrendered herself to the sea from the castle tower, a horrible army arrived from the princess's home country, Givik of Belmura. The castle fell overnight.
Givik was probably sticking around negotiating a ransom. But the princess died, and it was no longer worth it. The King of Gibik, who learned of the Princess's death, must have turned mad, horrible, reserved trump card soldiers against the castle.
The ones who attacked the castle in the middle of the night snuck onto the rock beneath the castle in several boats. Then he put an iron claw on his hands and feet and climbed the cliffs of the Cape. And some overtook the walls, and overtook the guards without sound: and some opened the gates of the castle, which were upon the land of the cape, and entered into the castle. Walking soundlessly, they slaughtered the sleeping castle soldiers one after the other. And set the castle on fire and left.
The castle, full of mercenaries without a castle owner and who also left the minister of the Grand Duke, was in havoc, and the fire broke out without being able to do anything. The only survivors were some of the ladies and daughters, who could escape the fire in the castle without the hands of Givik's soldiers.
Looks like Givik's soldiers were just for revenge, let's take the castle and hold Braga's throat, I don't care, I never stayed in the castle.
Now my story is over.
Hmm? Why did you say I was alive?
Well, the day after the Grand Duke died, I left the castle.
I hate the fact that the princess and the Grand Duke are dead. I didn't get along well, and the next morning, when the castle was still following me, I stopped defending Agustina by trying to escape half the time. I was thinking of replacing it with a unit to protect the mountain north of Braga.
Well, actually, it was the White Tower that killed the princess and the Grand Duke. I thought there was going to be a rough investigation, so I rushed off, and that's the real story.
Really, if you think about what happened after that, you're about to get a haircut, which is my winning reading.
What's up, kid, I heard a lot about you, didn't I?
Who taught the princess about the boy's death?
Well, you're ladies and servants with sides. They were all Braga people, but just like the boy, the princess was liked and sympathetic from around.
Who gave the knife to the princess?
Well, the same, I guess, the ladies.
The princess only has a bed and a costume in her room. Of course, it was forbidden to put a knife in a room that was dangerous, and we must have checked the room.
The princess got a knife from the lady, and I guess it happened that day.
Now, I think, you must have thought of that beautiful princess, the boy, like her real brother.
No, I might have felt more than that.
Often, at night, I was crying looking out at the sea through the window of the tower, but I must have missed my hometown then, and I didn't know what to think, but I couldn't see the boy, and he was dead, and that's why I was crying.
The boy who tried to kill the Grand Duke must have had a princess.
The boy and the princess were patterns between the Lord and the minister, cousins, but I'm sure they liked each other.
... and, hey, what the hell, kid? You look weird.
Is it weird that I talk about sex?
No? That's right, it's a very sad story.
But you still want to ask me something?
Perseverance, you too.
I don't have a choice, say it.
I'm going into the princess's room. I was looking into the woman's belongings, weren't I?
Well, hey, there was another woman to look into.
What, that face. Yayashiya.
Heh heh, well, what, leave that to me.
