Chapter 445 - 386: The Danger Known to All
Caleb Bloom looked at his daughter, Flora Bloom, who wore an air of detached calm. "Flora, you knew about this all along, didn’t you?"
Flora Bloom nodded. "Dad, I’ve known for a long time. We chose not to say anything because we were afraid of causing unnecessary panic.
But given the current situation, if everyone remains unaware, they’ll be kept in the dark when changes happen to the people around them. That would actually put them in more danger."
"Sigh... you borrowed their bodies. Does that mean the original owners died?"
Saul Sterling spoke up. "Don’t worry, everyone. When the few of us came to Earth, our original bodies were destroyed. To avoid disrupting the rules of this planet, we only sought out people who were on the verge of death.
The only exception was the body Five found. There were some complications. The original owner had already died and was no longer breathing, but Five had already begun the integration process. If the host body was completely dead, Five would have died too upon successful integration.
At the time, the rest of us were also integrating with our new bodies. That guy, Five, was afraid of affecting us, so he was going to find a place to wait for death. But you saved him.

Hearing Saul Sterling’s words, Gu Renbin’s opinion of Five finally started to change a little.

And they’re all quite powerful. Some of them won’t look for dying bodies like we did. Instead, they’ll merge directly with living people, stripping them of their Life Force. Once the fusion is complete, there are no negative side effects for them."
"Merging directly with living people?"
Saul Sterling’s statement sent a chill down everyone’s spine. If that was the case, could they become targets in the future?
"Is there any way for us to identify those whose bodies have been taken over?" Sherman Lynch asked.
Lex Cross shook his head. "Not at the moment. However, if we can bring suspicious individuals here and have Mr. Gu take their pulse, we can identify them."
Neal Wallace frowned and asked, "But there are so many people at the base. Are we supposed to invite them to Villa Three one by one just to guard against outsiders? I’m afraid doing that will cause widespread panic."
"It doesn’t have to be that troublesome. For now, there’s only one in the Morhaven base: Rita," Lex Cross said with certainty.
"Earth has a very special rule. The life forms of outside invaders are suppressed by a special law. Moreover, abandoning one’s body to find a new human host is an extremely dangerous process. If it’s interrupted, even if the integration is successful, their power will be greatly diminished.
So, there won’t be many of them."
Hearing Lex Cross say this, Caleb Bloom and the others relaxed slightly. But Lex’s next words shattered what little hope they had left.
"But there’s something I want everyone to know in advance." Lex Cross glanced at Flora Bloom. Feeling his gaze, Flora realized what he was about to say.
"I’ll say it."
Lex Cross nodded.
So, Flora Bloom told everyone exactly what Lex Cross had told her before about the spatial rifts created by the major Secret Realms.
As everyone was still reeling from the incredible news, she continued, "As Secret Realms from all over the world descend and appear on Earth one by one, the number of spatial rifts on the planet will only increase.
If the spatial rifts reach a certain threshold, the Earth we humans depend on for survival will shatter from the pressure of the external space."
Sherman Lynch, Caleb Bloom, Mark Sterling, and Gu Renbin, despite their inner anxiety, managed to keep their composure. Cynthia Grant, however, wore her emotions on her sleeve. Her face went pale with shock as she asked, "If the Earth shatters, what will happen?"
"The Earth will completely disintegrate, and humanity will be annihilated."
The courtyard fell silent. Even the sound of the wind rustling the wisteria, causing petals to fall, seemed to echo and magnify in everyone’s ears.
"Then... what are we supposed to do?"
With their own lives on the line, no one could remain calm.
"The day the Earth shatters, all life on the planet will be instantly annihilated, ceasing to exist."
Flora Bloom looked at the instantly depressed and gloomy mood of the group and told herself, ’I can’t let myself get dragged down with them.’
"But, there is a solution, isn’t there?" Flora Bloom looked at Lex Cross. "As long as we all raise our levels to High-level Superpower and above, we can survive this catastrophe!"
Lex Cross nodded. "To survive in the universe, you need to at least break through to High-level Superpower and reach the Nebula Level.
Flora probably hasn’t had the chance to tell you all yet. In the universe, there are higher level divisions after High-level Superpower: Nebula Level, Planet Level, Starry Sky Level, Cosmic Level, and War God Level.
If you all want to continue living after the Earth shatters, then you must break through to the Nebula Level as soon as possible."
He and Flora Bloom exchanged a look. Neither of them mentioned the Space Stabilizers to the others. After all, for Lex Cross and Flora Bloom, a Space Stabilizer was an incredibly rare, almost unobtainable item. What’s more, Lex had a premonition that Earth was not some low-level, primitive planet, but a special, high-level one.
An ordinary Space Stabilizer wouldn’t be enough to maintain Earth’s spatial stability.
A high-level planet required a high-level spatial life form to maintain its space and ensure the planet’s spatial integrity.
And high-level life forms were even rarer than Space Stabilizers.
Rather than mentioning such a hopeless matter and giving everyone false hope, it was better not to say anything. It was more reliable to have them place their hopes on upgrading their own superpowers.
This way, no matter what happened in the future, the strength of this group might at least allow them to start a new life in the universe.

Most importantly, Vert’s other eight eggs and the gyrfalcon’s two eggs had all hatched.
To Flora Bloom’s surprise, all the small mantises that hatched from Vert’s nine eggs were dual-element superpower users. Not only did they possess an invisibility superpower, but every single one also inherited Vert’s Wind Ability.
The Crown Prince and the civet cat had been staring at the little mantises for a long time as they frolicked on the wisteria trellis, scooping out honey to eat every day.
