Rebuild World

49 Elena's Judgment

Elena and the others also noticed the Katsuya and the others from Akira's reaction. The look on Shikarabe's face when she saw Katsuya and the others made her grumpy, Elena held her head a little and Sarah was smiling bitterly.

Alpha stabs Akira with a nail.

I know you do, but you can't rub it, can you?

'I know. Elena and the others are here. I'm not going to rub anything over there. "

I don't know.

Akira is optimistic, but Alpha denied it with a slightly harsh look.

Alpha thinks Akira might come up with something again. Akira decided so from Alpha's attitude and told herself to weigh in.

After Elena exhales gently, she asks Shikarabe for confirmation.

"You can adjust the rubbing in the drancum, right?

"Naturally. Whatever they say, just throw me a round."

That's what Sikarabe said. Akira, who doesn't understand the situation, sees Elena and the others' faces. Sarah, who guessed, explains to Akira.

"Elena said that, right? He said there was a problem with the compatibility of the personnel. It was originally planned to be explored by a larger number of people. But it looks like one of the hunters Drancam sent as a member was a very unfamiliar hunter with Shikarabe, and Shikarabe didn't like to rendezvous."

Akira was briefed on the situation by Sarah and Elena.

The three Sarah, Elena and Sikarabe are hunters who received requests for assistance in building a front-line base. Sarah and Elena served on monster sentries and interception missions as a pair of teams. Sikarabe was on a similar assignment with her colleagues as a hunter seconded by Drancam.

In order to secure a corridor leading to the back of the ruins of Kuzhara Street, many workers have removed rubble and paved roads at the construction site of the temporary base. Tanks and other operations are difficult inside ruins scattered with debris. Many monsters live inside skyscrapers, and many situations cannot be addressed by man-made weapons because of their size. As a result, a large number of hunters operate as countermeasures to monsters.

The more well-maintained corridors extend from the temporary base to the back of the ruins, the more powerful the monsters that strike will also be those living behind the ruins. To engage such a powerful monster, there was inevitably a powerful hunter on the front line on the mission.

However, the presence of a flock of yaratasoli is confirmed in the outer periphery of the site, where only relatively weak monsters are supposed to be present, and it is further found that there are large quantities of yaratasoli and their nests in the underground area where they live. The underground was even conceived of the possibility that it leads widely behind the ruins of Kuzsuhara Street.

The command for the construction of the temporary base decided to turn some of the hunters it had secured in order to secure passageways on the ground, with no choice but to control the underground. That's how Sarah, Elena and Sikarabe are in the basement.

All three are capable hunters who were originally placed on the front line. Add a few on-site hunters to those three and they'll function well as an exploratory team. Sometimes Shikarabe belongs to Drancam, and plans to send additional personnel from Drancam to serve as an exploratory team.

But there goes the problem. The extra hunters sent by Drancam were the rashes.

Sikarabe and Katsuya were totally hostile within Drankam. Sikarabe, in particular, hated katsuya.

Shikarabe vehemently opposed Katsuya and the others joining their exploration team. I said that if I add the rashes, I would get out, that I would be responsible for the burden of not having the rashes, and many other things. In the unlikely event that she was a decoy, Elena and the others abandoned herself and ran away.

This is a serious rub inside the drancam. Sometimes Shikarabe's strength and Shikarabe got along well with Drankam's executives, and eventually Shikarabe's homeland (as it were) passed through. Afterwards, Akira was sent to Elena and the others from HQ as additional personnel other than Katsuya.

Shikarabe and Katsuya continued to argue even while Akira was being briefed on the situation by Sarah and Elena.

Katsuya talks as she stares at Shikarabe.

"Come on! I'm not one of your men anymore! I'm not going to follow your instructions! Don't you see how annoying Elena and the others are?

Shikarabe answers without even hiding her disgust in a fight.

"Hope after I understand that adding you guys is more annoying than that in itself. Let it go."

It's an argument between two people who are totally unwilling to walk over. This argument will not lead to a solution.

Katsuya was happy to hear that she could accompany Elena and the others. We thought it would be a good opportunity to show Elena and the others what we've grown and regain our appreciation. Shikarabe was unhappy to accompany him, but Katsuya intended to put up with it.

But Sikarabe is crushing the opportunity itself with his own self. It was natural for Katsuya to be hostile to Shikarabe.

Katsuya tries to persuade Shikarabe with a rugged look.

"Are you willing to keep exploring with just the three of us? Another hunter won't be dispatched from Drancam because I don't like it. How long are you willing to be mean?

Katsuya had contacted the management side of Drancam. To get Shikarabe to give instructions and orders from the admin who won't try to add anything hard to the exploration team.

The management's decision was to talk to him in the field. On the management side, I wanted to avoid imposing actions on either Sikarabe, a hunter who is also a drancum ancient and powerful, or Katsuya, who is becoming a representative position for young hunters, under the authority of the management side.

The fact that the management once had Sikarabe's shoulder is offset by not dispatching other hunters from the Drancam side. The harder it is to deal with in Shikarabe's prowess, the higher the threat of monsters, the more Katsuya and the others will be able to join the exploration team. That's what Katsuya thought, contacting Shikarabe and the others who returned from the quest.

Sikarabe replies with a gentle laugh.

"Oh. I'm fine. Additional personnel were provided by HQ. It's Akira. She's strong, isn't she? A hunter who also defeated a large number of Yarata sasoris yesterday. It's a tattoo from headquarters, right?

That's what Shikarabe introduced Akira to Katsuya. Katsuya's gaze concentrates on Akira. Katsuya and the others were aware of Akira, but did not consider her to be an additional member of the exploration team. I thought you were talking simply because you knew Elena and the others.

"... he's not a hunter belonging to Drancam, is he?

"So what? This is the personnel that HQ deliberately prepared for me. There's nothing wrong with that. First Elena and Sarah wouldn't be hunters belonging to Drancam."

"If you need additional personnel on a request that can be expected to have enough results, you decide to prioritize adding a hunter belonging to Drancam!

"That doesn't mean taking useless people and giving them hard quotes, even rewards. You've been wrong in your previous experience?

Shikarabe, who makes a fool of Katsuya, and Katsuya, who makes a fuss about Shikarabe, were arguing completely with her waist. There is only reason left for neither of us to engage on this occasion, but that is all. It could have been dangerous if it weren't for the numerous hunters around.

The two arguments, which are likely to last forever, end by being blocked by Elena.

"Time. I'm leaving."

That's all Elena said and walked out. Sarah and Akira follow suit. Shikarabe laughed at Katsuya as a little fool before following Elena and the others.

Katsuya continued to see Shikarabe leaving. That gaze moves to Akira.

"... again, that's him!

Without Akira, Shikarabe might have broken and added the Katsuyas to the exploration team. Katsuya was unconsciously so conclusive that she seemed to whine (crushing) abominably.

Akira, who joined the exploratory team led by Elena, was going underground with a harsh look.

Exploration teams are assigned various roles. Akira et al. The main task of the Ninth Exploration Team is to map the unseen parts of the underground. In order to understand the structure of the underground area at least as much as possible, we need to explore the underground area with survey equipment and build an overall map of the underground area.

Naturally, the location of the search is unknown. The type and size of the monster that lives in it are unknown. On top of that, the underground streets are like mazes. Lighting was installed at the defensive point and in the passage leading there, but there is no such thing in the uninvestigated part of the underground. It's a realm of monsters that can operate without light or anything.

Explore hazardous areas where there is no prior information, bring back information on underground structures, monsters roaming (yes), and ensure a minimum of safety for subsequent crusade teams, etc. That's what the exploration team does, it's what Elena and the others do, it's what Akira does.

Akira and the others are going underground without that minimal safety. It had exhausted Akira's strength and spirit more than Akira expected.

Focusing on Elena, Shikarabe moves forward, Sarah keeps the left and Akira keeps the right placement and a row goes down the underground. All four of us point (one) the lighting once, but it is very unlikely to be light enough to illuminate the vast underground area, and a little further away remains drunk by the darkness. Akira and the others were moving forward in understanding the surroundings with their own information-gathering equipment and so on.

Akira and the others are going underground at considerable travel speeds. It's too early for Akira's senses.

Akira didn't know, but Elena was slowing down the overall travel speed a little (to) confirm Akira's strength. On top of that, Akira was at her best not to be too late.

Alpha was combining his training to let Akira do her own defense. However, it was decided to stop considering Akira's fatigue condition resulting from the difference in strength between Elena and Akira.

Alpha gives Akira instructions.

Akira, stop training your opponents. Rest a little while because I will take over the enemy. At that rate, Akira's fatigue may come to its limit when something happens. '

'... bad. Honestly, it was the limit. Can I ask you a favor?

Of course. I'll take care of your guard now, Akira. Relax a little. Because nervousness makes fatigue faster than you can imagine. When something happens, fatigue causes Akira to move more dull.

"Excuse me. I asked for it."

"Leave it to me."

Alpha answered confidently. It gave Akira great relief and created a clear loosening in Akira's enemy behavior.

Akira was unaware that Shikarabe was pointing consciousness at Akira. Shikarabe asks Akira abruptly.

"Akira. What's the situation on the right?

Akira answers with a little surprise.

"... there are three Yarata sasoris 50 meters away. He's probably dead because he's not moving. You can ignore it because it's not a pseudo-death, it's not a direction of travel, and there's no sign of it coming up."

Sicarabe sees Elena. I'm asking Elena to confirm the situation. Elena answers concisely.

"There is."

Sikarabe talks with a slightly unexpected look on her face when she hears Elena's reply.

"Copy that. What, I thought you started skipping the opponents, but you're doing it right. Is my investigation duller?

Akira just repeated Alpha's words. I managed to keep the upset down and stay calm, but still had a slight rush and a surprising color on my expression.

(... I'm just crossing.)

Shikarabe had an accurate picture of Akira's distraction. Akira, who saw a glimpse (now) of one end of the skilled hunter's prowess, eats his teeth to grip the bitter smile that seemed to float. As a result, Akira's expression had become a little stiff.

Shikarabe didn't ask with the intention of paying attention to Akira separately. Akira originally joined as a firepower officer. Elena can only make it up to you if there is a slight deficiency in Akira's ability to fight the enemy.

If you're concerned, just in case Sikarabe makes a little more vigilant on the right. It was a question to determine if we should increase our vigilance on the right.

Sarah and Elena were also a little surprised by Akira's enemies. Because it was precision approaching Elena, the information-gathering personnel. Neither Sarah nor Elena expected Akira to be that good in the enemy, and both predictions are correct. Because it was Alpha who was actually on guard around us.

Sicarabe speaks in a good mood.

"The opponents are also excellent even though I added them as firepower officers. That's a big win. It was worth removing the shine."

Elena speaks in dissatisfaction.

"I want you to stop involving Akira and us in the drangkham."

"Don't say that. You owe me as much as I say, and you're paying me back by taking the lead, aren't you? And eventually you took the leader's consent."

Akira looks at Elena a little surprised. Because Elena would have decided that one Shikarabe would be more of a force for war than five Katsuyas.

I don't think Akira is that vulnerable to the Katsuyas. And I don't even think Sikarabe is that strong. Akira's doubts were well passed on to Elena.

Answer as Elena explains noticing how Akira is doing.

"... I didn't hold Shikarabe's shoulder. I just considered the problem of removing the shikarabe and adding the rashes. For example, if the aisles in the basement are narrow, the advantages of numbers may not be taken advantage of. In that case, it's better to have someone who can handle all kinds of situations by himself. And with more people, it's harder to move faster. Later..."

Elena continues to say a little spicy.

"... if anything happens, it's subtle whether the Katsuya and the others will obey my instructions."

It seems conscious that Elena also made an uncomfortable choice.

Sarah adds the story to Akira with a bitter smile.

"Elena's a little worried, but it's a safe decision for everyone. Even if it's an impromptu unit, and there may be a lot of troops. Don't take him too badly."

Akira answers with a laugh.

"No, I just wondered a little bit after judging by the amateur idea that it would be safer to have a larger number of people. It's not like I doubted Mr. Elena's judgment or anything. I think I'm right, too, if it's Elena's decision."

Shikarabe adds to her upbeat mood.

"I agree. Let me assure you that Elena's judgment is accurate. I have a little connection to them and I know a lot about them. Katsuya moves at will thinking her decision is right. Yumina and Iri follow Katsuya's instructions in defense of Katsuya. Raina has a seizure and acts on her own. Siori acts first and foremost in Rayna's safety. We all have problems. Especially if Katsuya gets instructions that he's dissatisfied, he's going to take absolute command by saying it's a majority vote or something. The other four will support Katsuya, so that will definitely make sense of his opinion. Besides, he would push it through by saying it was a decision we all made without realizing it was vegan. Absolutely. If that happens, the troops will collapse in a dangerous uninvestigated area. If you do poorly, you will be wiped out. So there's no judgment in taking them."

Sikarabe affirmed so.

Akira doesn't know if what Sikarabe said is true. But only the fact that Shikarabe hates Katsuya was well conveyed.

Elena exhales and speaks.

"… Apart from the accuracy of that information, I would like to reduce the concerns in that hand. That's the best reason I didn't take the rashes. Please follow my instructions as much as you can, Akira, as I will refine to avoid giving incorrect instructions too. If you want to know why I instruct you to do so, just ask and I'll give you a proper answer."

"Okay. It's okay. Even if Elena's instructions are somewhat incorrect, I believe they will turn out better than mine. When I hear the reason for the instruction, think I'm not dissatisfied with the instruction, but trying to understand and study the reason for the instruction."

Akira answered that with all her heart. Akira doesn't even think she has shards of judgment. And Elena and the others acknowledged Alpha's strength. Then Akira has no reason to doubt Elena's judgment.

Answer as Elena lights up a little.

"I'll do my best to meet that trust."

Sarah looks at Elena and she is frightened. Elena turns to Sarah with a slightly intimidating grin when she realizes how Sarah is doing. Sarah quickly turned her gaze to the back of the underground aisle.

One line continued its exploration of the underground in good order. It seems that the underground area is now close to the maze because of the original structure, blocked passageways, shutters, etc., which are blocked by a collapse.

It is thanks to Elena's high information-gathering ability that we can proceed without getting lost in that underground area. Elena has obtained topographical information to create a view of the underground, while determining the exact current position from the distance traveled and the surrounding information. It then identifies where the monsters live and where they would be disadvantaged if they were raided, choosing a safe route to go underground.

Akira and the others engaged the monsters several times along the way. Most of them were defeated by the leading Shikarabe alone, and if the number of monsters was high, they were annihilated by four. Most (mostly) of the monsters encountered are sparse. The line was searching well without the elements that forced it to struggle.

The most burdensome of the Akira and the others is the leading Shikarabe. Sikarabe had only achieved the effect of replacing the Katsuya and the others, as declared.

Naturally, that would drain a lot of cigarabes. Your strength, your spirit, the amount of ammunition you consume.

It's time to take turns. Elena decides so.

"Sarah. It's time to take turns with the lead"

"Okay."

"I'm not tired enough to take turns yet. We'll be all right in a little while."

Sikarabe proposes to continue, but Elena rejects.

"Even if you were strong enough, you would have consumed ammunition, right? You should take turns while you can. To restore fatigue and even ammunition consumption."

"Copy that.... then why don't you lead Akira once?

When Shikarabe suggests so, Elena looks surprised.

"Get Akira?

"I want to see how much Akira can fight just in case. Assuming Akira can cover her unconsciousness very well when we can afford it. Well, if you don't like Akira, you don't have to."

You should check early to see how much Akira will pull Elena and the others' legs if it does become a full-scale fight. Akira decides so too and answers Elena.

"I don't mind. What do you want to do?

It is Elena who makes the final decision. If Elena decides that Akira's prowess is beyond her control, Akira didn't mind.

Elena confirms Akira's expression. If Akira doesn't like shards, Elena wasn't willing to put Akira in the lead.

I didn't feel any nervousness about taking the lead from Akira's expression. However, I don't feel the temper to come forward and be active. I mean, Akira thinks either is a good idea. That's what Elena decided.

Elena accepts Sikarabe's proposal as reasonable, too.

"Okay. Akira took turns with Shikarabe. Akira must never force herself. Sarah and Shikarabe are to go in for cover as soon as they decide Akira is dangerous at the discretion of the two of them without waiting for my instructions. That's good, huh?

"Okay."

"Okay."

Copy that.

Akira normally, Sarah replied somewhere pleasantly so as to reassure Akira and Elena.

Alpha asks Akira before resuming the journey.

'Ask Akira now, but to what extent should I support Akira?

Akira didn't know what Alpha meant by the question. Akira answers slightly strangely.

'... to what extent, ask as firmly as you can'

'I'll make a suggestion for once. There are some people out of hand here who expect to be assigned to the defense team. If you're too active here, you might be assigned to a more dangerous place tomorrow. Based on that, what do we do?

With Alpha's explanation, Akira finally caught up with her understanding. I guess I do have that hand too. Akira answers after showing a uniform satisfaction with Alpha's explanation.

'... I do have that idea, but doing that annoys Elena and the others. I don't care. I need your full support.'

'Well, I thought you'd say that. Got it. Leave it to me.'

Alpha replied with a smile. Alpha was beginning to understand Akira's thoughts little by little.
