Rebuild World

61 The end of good luck, or bad luck

Akira pulls the trigger again for Nelia's head. The bullet landed on Nelia's side (by his side) and the impact blew Nelia a little.

"... Not yet!

Alpha smiles and talks to calm Akira.

"Calm down. If you're in a hurry, you won't hit anything."

"Can we do something with Alpha's support?

"The fortified clothes are damaged and unstable. More of my manipulative intervention would cause an abnormality in the behavior of the fortified clothes, and if I did poorly, Akira's arms could be smashed, but could it still be good?

"Stop me."

Alpha's appearance is already back to normal. Alpha stands on Akira's side (by his side) as usual.

It should be noted that Nelia doesn't recognize Alpha anymore. Because Akira's attack destroyed equipment connecting to a map of Kuzsuhara Street ruins. Alpha had it figured out.

When Akira puts up her gun again and targets Nelia, she talks so that Nelia can hear Akira laughing.

"Kill me and you will die."

Akira pulled the trigger regardless. The impact of the landing caused Nelia to blow up a little again. Nelia keeps talking.

"My people are betraying me and trying to kill every one of you. Autopilot the heavy reinforced clothes and let them enter the building. His fortified clothing incorporates a suicide bomber to keep the enemy on the road. It's no use running away. I'll follow you everywhere until I kill you. I'll blow myself up as soon as I get inside the kill zone. Probably powerful enough to blow up this building. At least this building will collapse for sure."

Akira doesn't mind approaching Nelia and shooting. Hit the remaining part of Nelia's upper body. Nelia, whose neck is the only one, flies in shock.

"The only way to stop the suicide bombing is to destroy the controls on the fortified clothes, or intervene with the controls to stop them. It's hard to pierce that armor and destroy the controls somewhere in the torso. I could break into the fortified clothing controls and shut it down. I've already started to intervene, and I'm continuing to stop the self-destruct of heavy reinforced clothing. I'll blow myself up as soon as you kill me."

Akira doesn't mind approaching Nelia and shooting. The warhead landed on the floor saying it was plundered into Nelia's ear, which had become only the head. The shock blew Nelia away again.

"Yes. Well, do as you please. It's up to you. It's not a bad idea to die with someone you've spoken to."

That's why Nelia smiles. He had the same grin as he had when he was dictating Akira.

When Akira approached Nelia and grabbed her hair (or lifted it), she asked, looking closely at Nelia.

"Evidence?

"I don't."

Akira asks. Isn't that a lie to help? Is there evidence that you are telling the truth?

Nelia answered. There is nothing like that. If you don't believe your words, you can do whatever you want.

Akira didn't know if it was true or a lie. Alpha gives instructions with a rugged look to Akira who is lost.

"Akira. Let's move first. Now. '

Akira followed Alpha's instructions and rushed out of the spot grabbing Nelia's head.

Bill rocks. Kane's heavy-duty fortified clothing was about to force into the interior of the building at the source of the shake.

A giant heavy-duty reinforced garment moving in autopilot is forcing a giant body from the side of the building, from the area that is brittle (mollusc) due to Kane's attack, without any concern about damage to the fuselage, etc.

The heads and arms of the heavily reinforced clothes are stuck in the walls and ceilings. The fuselage is about to advance into the back of the building while destroying disturbing ceilings and walls with the heavy firearms it is equipped with. Without paying any attention to residual energy, etc., we are trying to ignore the output to the limit, such as safety standards, and go under (and under) Akira with incredible force.

I don't know exactly where Akira is. However, the position can be seen with the accuracy that the colorless fog clears and the function is restored by the information gathering device.

It shoots all the firearms equipped with a giant fuselage in Akira's direction. Huge bullets fired from huge guns continue to crush the building walls. The building's interior walls are not as sturdy as the exterior walls. Crushed ceilings and walls become rubble and scatter around. The fuselage operated by automatic manoeuvre does not take into account residual shells or the like. Keep firing until you run out of spare ammunition stored inside the fuselage.

Akira quickly escaped from the scene to escape Kane's heavy-duty fortified clothing attack. Ask Nelia as Akira flees.

"Why are you trying to kill me? Or is that just a buy of time for your people to get out of here?

"No, I'm not. If I don't kill you, I won't be able to carry the artifact."

"What does it have to do with carrying artifacts and my life?

"A man named Yajima, who you killed, enrolled you in a post-mortem retaliation request program. If I don't kill you because of that, the transport vehicle that loaded the artifact won't move."

Akira remembered what Yazima said and did that she killed. Yazima said her people would take revenge even if they were killed, but that wasn't just a threat.

Akira's expression is disgusting and distorted.

"... how annoying. Do you have a program like that?"

"I do. If it wasn't for that reason, I wouldn't come all the way out here to kill you. If your suspicions are clear, let's make a deal. Help me instead because I will stop Kane's heavy-duty fortified clothes"

"You just have to keep running. If we get out of the building while he's stuck inside, we'll get away with it enough."

"Didn't you run into this building because you decided that wasn't possible?

"... if you can take over control of that heavy-duty fortified garment, what's your guarantee that you won't attack me by manipulating that heavy-duty fortified garment after you've mastered control? If you kill me, you'll get the artifact, right?

"That's the only way to get you to believe me. You've been hit so far, haven't you? I don't want to fight you anymore. My people also fled because they were afraid to fight you. Give up tons of artifacts that will be a lot of money. I don't think it's a bad deal because it helps me and you, too? Yeah, I'd weigh myself in on adding a condition that you (you) hang out with me. I don't have a hobby for threatening and making lovers."

Nelia had an extra grin even if it was just her neck. Akira makes her look attractive.

"Alpha. Do you think this story is true? I guess Alpha has some idea what they're lying about, huh?

Alpha responds by gently shaking her neck sideways.

"Unfortunately, as I said before, it is difficult to tell lies from the expressions of prosthetic people. So all I can say is, I don't know. '

Akira is troubled. If you accept Nelia's suggestion, you risk being fought back to miss the opponent you've cornered so far. But there's no guarantee you'll survive escaping outside the building. There is a good chance that Kane's fuselage will catch up and kill him.

'... bet and ask, bet and run...'

To Akira, who is lost, Alpha adds another option.

You have another choice, don't you? Bet and Fight '

"But if you fight, you're gonna blow yourself up?

'Firstly, it's unclear if the target really has a suicide bombing capability. Even if it was really on board, there's no guarantee she's really holding off that explosion. In that case, the fact that it has not yet exploded may mean that it is set quite narrowly within the killing zone of the explosion alone. There's a chance it won't explode if you're far enough away from them. The suicide bombing method may also be loaded with explosives inside, or it may cause the residual energy of the fuselage to be converted. In the latter case, the energy of the fuselage should also be used to maintain the Force Field Armor. If you keep attacking with the CWH Object Assault Gun's dedicated ammunition, you could run out of residual energy by maintaining Force Field Armor. It may also have the effect of holding back the scale of the explosion. If we do well, we might be able to destroy the controls together.'

Alpha is not talking with certainty. Alpha's story just shows the possibilities. But it doesn't make a difference that we have more options.

"Please, run away or fight three choices"

'All I can do is present my options. They're all full of elements of luck, and I don't have anything to recommend. Choose Akira.' Cause I'll do everything I can to support you with any option. '

"Okay."

Akira threw Nelia on the floor, which was just her head.

Nelia looking at Akira with only her neck. Akira tells Nelia her choice.

"I'll ask you to scratch your feet a little longer. Wait there."

That's all Akira said and ran out. To fight.

I see Akira leaving with only Nelia on her head. Nelia was laughing.

Kane's heavy-duty reinforced clothes are running on automatic piloting, but not in excess clever motion. The target is also someone in the building, or (there is) something unclear. I'm just attacking something like that that I detected on an intelligence-gathering device. We're not clearly identifying Akira and attacking her. We're searching for the presence of human beings with the information gathering equipment on board, and we're just continuing to attack even the target.

The fuselage proceeded by destroying the blockers with arms, gunfire, etc., without bypassing (blurring) even if there was a shield with the subject. Of the heavy firearms with four arms, two (or so) had already used up ammunition, which had turned them into mere blunt instruments.

Akira's vision, expanded by Alpha, depicts heavy reinforced clothing rampaging around a little further away. Akira also found out that some of the guns were already out of ammo.

"This, if you wait in silence, will you shoot all the remnants?

"I wish I hadn't blown myself up the moment the remnants were gone, or something. If this building collapses, it's gonna be tough, okay?

'That sounds possible. I don't have a choice. Go.'

There are several holes in the building's walls due to a rampage of heavy-duty fortified clothing attacks. Akira fired heavy reinforced clothes over the wall from that hole.

A dedicated bullet from a CWH objective assault gun strikes directly at the torso portion of the heavily reinforced garment. A huge fuselage is moving through a tiny building, caught in rubble. The movement is slow. Akira's health sucks, but she was able to hit the blunt giant.

Forcefield Armor, the fuselage's force field armor, prevents the impact of the CWH objective assault gun's special ammunition, scattering noise and impact conversion light around it. The fuselage tries to fight back against Akira, but the arms and guns can't catch on to rubble (bristles) and so on quickly. Akira was able to crush herself without difficulty.

Akira repeatedly shoots and moves, and continues to pound (just) the opponent with the CWH Object Assault Gun's dedicated bullet. The fuselage continues to fight back with giant bullets scattered around it. The walls collapse, the ceiling collapses, and the bullets fly across.

It also looks like Akira is unilaterally attacking, but if you eat even one blow of the opponent's attack, Akira is done. Meanwhile, Kane's heavy-duty fortified clothing continues to fight back no matter how many direct hits he takes. And where Akira can hide herself is crushed by the attack of heavy-duty fortified clothing, which is diminishing slightly. Akira didn't even feel shards (shards), such as her dominance.

The ringtone of the heavy reinforced clothes that ate the direct hit of the special bullet changed. The Force Field Armor was broken and the special bullet reached the inside. The heavy reinforced clothing moved badly visibly.

Without missing the opportunity, Akira continuously slaps the bullet into the torso area of the heavily reinforced garment. The bullet damages the controls of the heavy reinforced clothing. The broken controller sent abnormal instructions to each part of the heavy reinforced garment. As a result, the fuselage continued to rumble around in a messed up motion as if suffering more from severe pain.

Akira continues shooting further. Huge heavy-duty reinforced clothing finally stopped working.

Akira carefully checks for heavy reinforced clothing while replacing the magazine. There are no signs of movement on heavy reinforced clothing.

"I won...?

'Maybe. You'll be fine. At least it's not Akira's threat anymore. "

"Good!"

Akira rejoices. It was a cheer taken off the dead ground, a joy that knocked down an unexpected big man.

"Akira. It's not all over yet. You can't let it get you out of your mind until you've finished everything, can you?

'I know. Let's go.'

Akira answered that clearly and ran out to get it all done.

Nelia just kept waiting. All Nelia can do is wait for the outcome of the measures.

And the result came to Nelia's perceptual range.

Akira returns to Nelia. Nelia greets Akira with a laugh.

"Welcome home. Apparently, you defeated Kane's heavy-duty fortified clothes. That's a big deal."

As Nelia says, Akira is already worn out. Akira's flesh, fortified clothes and guns are too much of a limit. Still, Akira survived and stood on this spot.

Akira was surprised to see Nelia smiling sparingly over this period and gave her own answer.

"You can afford it. Aren't you afraid to die?

"I'm not scared. I don't think so."

"Right. I don't like it either."

"You feel good. I knew you wouldn't hang out with me?

"I refuse. I don't have a hobby for talking about who I'm gonna kill, or hanging out with dead people."

Akira clearly said no. And set up a CWH objective assault gun for Nelia. I won't take it off at this distance. All you have to do is pull the trigger. Even Akira can do that now. Akira was sure of the victory.

But Nelia was still laughing.

"Then you'll be fine."

Akira asks with a surprising look.

"... what, are you okay?

Before Nelia answers, Alpha stops Akira.

'Akira! Never move!

Akira stopped moving as Alpha instructed. I also stopped the finger pulling the trigger. At the next moment, the CWH Object Assault Gun he was holding was ejected.

A man appeared around Akira who was suddenly surprised. The man was suddenly appearing where no one was, at least where Akira recognized him that way. The man had a gun. It was this man who shot Akira's CWH Objective Assault Gun and fired a bullet.

While Akira was stunned, the other men appeared just as one after the other.

"Alpha! Where did these guys come from!? He wasn't anywhere, was he?

'I followed you in earlier. They were all camo gear, so I didn't even notice Akira. "

"Meh, camo gear..."

"When it comes to equipment that combines thermo-optical camouflage, fluid-controlled camouflage, acoustic dampening wave camouflage, etc. to escape enemy enemies..."

'No, that's not what I'm asking...'

One of the men tells you what Akira wanted to know.

"Don't move! We are the Kugamayama City Guard! Surrender! Failure to follow our instructions creates the possibility of judging it an act of hostility to the city! This includes certification for immediate extermination!

The men were soldiers of the Kugamayama City Defense Forces. More soldiers show up and surround Akira and the others.

Contacts from the underground strategy headquarters to the temporary base were made by multiple personnel in addition to Akira. Akira failed to communicate, but other personnel had arrived safely at the temporary base. The commander of the makeshift base, who took a heavy look at the situation, decided to dispatch the Tiger Child's defense force immediately.

The defense forces will immediately make their way to the Underground Strategy Headquarters and surroundings. While on the move, members of the defense noticed explosions and smoke that were believed to be in battle. Those were from when Kane attacked the building where Akira and the others were. Some of the defense forces headed to the site to confirm the possibility that the monster was engaged by an artifact raider.

So what the defensemen saw was Akira pointing a CWH objective assault gun at Nelia.

Akira snorts (exhales) when she sees the defense forces surrounding her. There is no doubt that both equipment and proficiency are a population made up of personnel clearly above Akira. They are pointing guns at Akira without alarm. If Akira makes a slight suspicious move, Akira's life will disappear easily.

"I Feel This Happened Before"

"Bizarre encounter. Me, too."

It was when Akira cornered Yazima once. Shooting immediately was the right thing to do then. That error in choice led to Akira and Siori killing each other. That's why I'm not going to pick the option that Akira was right about now at that time.

Akira raises her hands and screams before Nelia says anything. Because I'm sorry that Nelia said something extra first to make things easier.

"I'm Akira! He's a hunter hired to attack the underground! He was being attacked and engaged by an artifact raider on his way to the makeshift base! Check it out!

"Detain him! Permission to shoot if you resist! Numerous hunters have been sacrificed and dead in the underground! Don't fail to be vigilant!

"I'm not..."

Several defensemen seize the irresistible Akira. Akira was taken into custody for the most part. Sturdy shackles (shackles) are applied to Akira's hands and feet. As it is, Akira is taken to the defense as she is dragged.

Akira realized that her tension was completely broken. Whatever the outcome, it's done. Akira was very tired, both physically and mentally. Akira's consciousness, once loose, did not have the art of resisting the extreme fatigue of trying to rest Akira as it was.

Akira's eyes slowly close. Alpha calls before Akira's consciousness disappears.

'It's okay. Rest easy.'

Alpha smiles gently to reassure Akira. There is no danger. I smiled telling Akira that.

'... right.... Rest'

Akira safely lost consciousness as it was. Defenders rush to support Akira, who suddenly collapses.

"The subject has lost consciousness!

"Check your vital signs and handle them properly! Likely Relic Robber! Never let him die until he hears everything out! Contact the medical team at Underground Strategy Headquarters and keep them on standby! Divide the troops into two squads! Squad A transports the subject to underground tactical headquarters and hands him over to the medical squad! Bravo team search the building! There's a good chance there are other relic robbers! If you run into him, if it's possible, take him alive! If you can't, kill him!

Troopers promptly commenced action as directed by the captain.

Nelia was also detained by the defense forces for the same treatment as Akira. Nelia was the only one with a neck, but was fitted with equipment that blocked communication with the outside world.

He was an immobile Nelia, but Akira's appearance as he was being transported accidentally entered his sight.

(I told you, didn't I? It's okay.)

Nelia giggles. If we buy time until the defense arrives, we have a surviving eye. Nelia thought so, executed it, and survived.

Nelia's luck kept her alive. Or (there is) Akira's luck kept Nelia alive.

Kane had come all the way out of the ruins of Kuzsuhara Street. There were several men there waiting for Kane. The difference between all of them is not so much biological.

The men salute Kane. A representative man tells Kane.

"Comrade! Good job!

Kane answers.

"I'm tired. Comrade. Situation."

"Ha! All those who were deployed have been withdrawn. Those who were causing them to get mixed up have also been reported to have successfully left."

"Right. Then we're out, too. We head to other cities without returning to Kugamayama City just in case. Let's go."

"You don't have to kill them."

These are the relic robbers who were Kane's people. They will still be waiting for Kane and Nelia to return in transport vehicles. And they're not Kane's people anymore.

"Oh. The city's defensemen will clean it up anyway. When we kill them with our hands, our presence becomes more exposed. I have a horn, and other comrades can get in the way of their activities when they know they exist."

"I understand. Let's go!"

Kane walks away from the spot with the men. One of the men asks Kane on the move.

"Comrade. Until recently, the plan was reported to be going well, but would it be appropriate if you could tell us why you were frustrated?

"The direct cause is that a man named Yazima was killed. He was an important part of the move. And because of the difficulty in dealing with the inconvenient factors deriving from his death, unfortunately, we had to abort the plan"

"Was the man's death inevitable?

"I didn't have a problem with the original plans. He was to live until he brought the relics of the old world to us. … Comrade. If you want to say that my incompetence, which could not predict his death, led to the failure of the plan, take it spoilt."

"Yes, no, we recognise that something unexpected has happened, which is difficult to cope with, even by the ability of our comrades. I apologize for any misleading representations, and I will correct them."

The man decided Kane was in a bad mood and stopped questioning Kane any more.

Think while Kane moves.

(Nevertheless, why (why) did it fail? According to information from comrades diving into the long-term strategy department of Kugamayama City, there shouldn't have been any hunters around there who could beat Yazima or Nelia. Nelia had spoken of the possibility that the city's agents were getting mixed up in Drancam's young hunters. You had information that a faction was born on a young hunter in Drunkham. You think that faction centers around a very good young hunter? Was the city letting agents dive in to control the growing force of Drancam from within? Did we just coincide with that agent?... an agent in the city would convince me of that strength too. Do you want to check it out)

Kane asks the man.

"Comrade, I've heard stories of massive factions forming in the young hunters of Drunkham before, but do you have any idea the name of that central figure? Sometimes the subject is young, and it should have been designed to draw us in with a simple propaganda."

"I know.... The subject's name, for sure, should have been Katsuya, Would you need relevant materials?

"Not necessary. Browse and scrutinize for yourself later. I'll give you instructions later if I have to."

"Understood."

The man did not say anything extra to avoid damaging Kane's mood again. As a result, the opportunity to solve Kane's misunderstandings on this occasion was lost.

Kane and the others escaped the ruins of Kuzsuhara Street as they were and disappeared straight into the wilderness.

Nelia is in a cell. The cell is located in a facility managed by the city of Kugamayama and is equipped (to) house cyborgs, etc. The cell had a table, on which Nelia was fixed. Stay alive.

Various connecting terminals were stretched from the neck of the nelia, which was only the head. Most of them are for life support. Nelia was very free due to a blockage of communication with the outside world.

A man enters that cell. A man giggles and talks lovingly to Nelia.

"Uh, Mr. Nelia, was it? I am Yanagisawa. How are you feeling?

Nelia answers with a laugh.

"You can't say it's too good. I'm free. I don't care if it's censored (filtered), could you connect it outside?

Yanagi Sawa laughs and shakes her neck to the side.

"I'm sorry. Unfortunately, that's beyond my authority. But let's go with your spare time. [M] What? Just having a nice chat. The point is, you're not supposed to have fun talking about it."

"I thought I told you everything I could tell you? Well, I don't mind talking about it. But that's a deal, right? I need you to commute my sentence just for what I've told you."

Nelia smiles invincibly when she answers.

Yanagi Sawa answers lovingly.

"Of course. I recognize human rights for the bad guys. I guarantee you the right to trade like that. Deal. Important. Being able to trade. It's an important element in connecting people. Even those who are hostile in their position can send (or take) various things from one another. The only subject that can't do that is to treat it as a monster anymore. You can't make a deal."

Nelia learned something a little nasty about Yanagisawa's attitude.

Nelia turns off her grin and asks.

"... So, what do you want to hear?

"I want to know more about a human being named Kane."

"We talked about that before, didn't we? Should I tell you the same thing again?

"I did ask. I heard it from you, and I heard it from your people. Based on that information, I followed the whereabouts of a man named Kane who you said had escaped, but as a result, I found out that no such man existed. I'm not talking about the name Kane being a phony name or anything. Then there's a human being named Kane."

"I don't care if you ask me to do something wrong with your investigation."

Yanagisawa is laughing silently. That was the silence and grin that made Nelia anxious.

Yanagi Sawa suddenly changes the story.

"By the way, what do you think will happen to your treatment?

"... right. I wonder if it's forced labor with administrative authority stuffed into the body that's being held on the city side. The site is a site managed by the city and should be a very dangerous place. I will spend the days collecting relics of the Old World while being treated like a throwaway pawn from above until I pay off the debt I have incurred in this case. I wonder if this is the place."

Yanagi Sawa answers with pleasure.

"You're pretty much right. Except that's if you were an artifact robber targeting relics from the old world that have ownership in Kugamayama City. To that extent, it was a common little villain from across the East."

Nelia asks by making her expression rude. Nelia didn't have this look on her face, whether she was stuck with a gun by Akira or just before she was killed.

"... what do you mean?

Yanagi Sawa answers with a smile that stirs anxiety.

"We consider the man named Kane to be a member of the Founding Fathers. That's not the lower end there either. He thinks he's in the executive class."

Seeing Nelia with a surprise look on her face, Yanagisawa continues the conversation in a more enjoyable way.

"There are quite a few Foundationalists who make similar cases in the East. At the instigation of those little villains, they rob the relics managed by the city, and then rob them. It is a source of funding for the Founding Fathers, and the damage is at a level that the Unified Enterprise Union cannot ignore. And there are people directing incidents that occur around. Someone who probably exists but can't confirm its existence. We suspect that the man you spoke of, Kane, is one of them. The defense forces that besieged you were pretty good, weren't they? It was meant to capture someone who was a foundationalist executive."

Nelia's expression turns blue. Nelia is re-understanding her situation by listening to Yanagisawa.

Yanagi Sawa keeps talking. Continue talking about continuing to make Nelia's mood worse. Continue talking about making Nelia feel the situation in which she is placed.

"You're probably very close to someone who's a Foundationalist executive right now. It is thought that it holds information to identify that person. It is suspected that it is not just a single city, but part of an organization hostile to the Unified Enterprise. If you fail to solve that misunderstanding, your treatment will be very unfortunate. Specifically, it becomes an experimental material for reconstructive (rebuild) technology."

Talk as Nelia clogs her voice with fear.

"Oh, that's a disbanded story..."

"Of course (of course), the reconstructive (rebuild) technology was dissolved as published. But I didn't kill all the researchers I belonged to, and I didn't discard the research results. They continue their research even now. More ethical than before, we continue to experiment to such an extent that we can meditate (crush) our eyes if we take into account the results of research. They have achieved a great deal by consuming an extremely small number of human rights under the control of the Unified Enterprise. Naturally, a few of those humans are chosen for the great sin. For example, a man who lost a lot of money to the east toward the Tongyi Union."

Nelia manages to answer in a tone that seems to make communicating her will difficult for fear.

"Wow, I..., I..."

"I guess so. I'm sure you're not. I guess it has nothing to do with the Foundationalists. So do your best to prove it now. Tell me a story that I can believe. As I said, I believe that the bad guys also have human rights. I have always believed that there should be a minimum of human rights, like being minced to death, drastically poisoned to death, or eaten to death while living by monsters. So I don't agree with inhumane things like offering reconstruction (rebuild) technology as an experimental object. But I have duties, too. So I want you to help me. [M] And I don't really know what happens when they send me to rebuild. It's confidential."

To Nelia, who is solidified by fear, Yanagisawa laughs and encourages her to talk.

"Well, can I talk to you? It's okay. We have plenty of time. Besides, you were free, weren't you? It's okay. Time's running out."

Nelia's luck kept her alive. Or (there is) Akira's luck kept Nelia alive. Nelia was desperately set to continue her elucidation, regretting that she had survived.

Whether that was lucky or unlucky, that conclusion has not yet been reached.
