Rebuild World

91 Invitation to Crusade the Bounty Neck

Akira is touring the city's nearby wilderness. He took on a patrol around the city of Kugamayama. Though the bounty neck wanders the wilderness, it can't be stuck in the city forever. We decided to patrol the area where the prize neck appeared.

Akira is combining her training to shoot a far-sighted monster from the top of a moving car. No Alpha support. Shooting from above a rocking body is naturally highly challenging. The hit rate is not Fang (Kanba). He is repeatedly shooting as Alpha points out.

"Alpha. Has the bounty neck made any progress? Did they take down another one or so?

'No. All four are alive. The information on the prize neck hasn't changed much either. The information in the area that appears is a little more detailed, and the amount of the prize money has risen somewhat. "

Akira talks like a hassle.

'I don't care who you are. I wonder if you could defeat me quickly. You're not behind a narrow ruin or anything, you're wandering the wilderness, aren't you? If you're a hunter with a tank, you can take it down.

"The hunters with tanks are largely more active on the east side, so while they're moving from base to Kugamayama City, local hunters could take down all their bounty necks and waste their legs. So it's subtle if a hunter with a tank like that comes all the way down here. Unless no one knocks you down for a while or raises more prizes."

Lower the gun Akira stood on. Because I saw another hunter in the direction of the monster I was after. If you hit them with a misfire, it's a big problem. There is a risk that just pointing a gun in their direction could lead to unnecessary misunderstandings.

'... again. Anything much?

Akira's chances of encountering other hunters were much higher.

'Thinking is the same for everyone. Just like Akira, she avoids running into the prize neck and stays away. I'm also free to be caged in the city, so I guess I'm getting a near-field patrol request along with some pocket money. Even on the urban side, you might be hiring more in case your prize neck gets close to the city. "

"Get away from the city a little bit more. Rubbing with other hunters is also a problem."

"Let's Do That"

Another hunter passed by, so Akira points her gun at the monster she was after again. Set a good aim with the support of Alpha to defeat them quickly and reliably. The monster was knocked out lightly by a precise blow through the head.

I laugh bitterly when Akira feels the difference between when she has Alpha support and when she doesn't.

"When the hell will I be able to do this on my own?"

"I only have training. Let's be temperamental. '

Akira returns to driving the car with Alpha encouragement. And he went on a monster crusade that combined shooting training a little further away from the city.

The sun also began to fall. Akira tries to cut up the patrol request and return to the city. Even on his way home, he slipped with many hunters. Probably the hunters who got the night patrol request.

Night patrols are more basic rewards, and many hunters prefer to receive them there. But given the number of these hunters, perhaps the hunters flashed by the day patrol request had no choice but to take a night patrol request. Considering this crowd, quite a few hunters seem to be holding back from going away.

"Akira, we're getting a call."

"From whom?

"From Shikarabe in Drunkham."

Akira looks a little surprised. Because I didn't know the name among the kind of people who would contact me. Alpha notices it and adds an explanation.

"Look, I'm the hunter who was with Elena and the others when Akira acted with Elena and the others in the basement of the ruins of Kuzsuhara Street. The other guy with Elena and the others would have rubbed it with another hunter from Drancam, wouldn't they?

Upon hearing Alpha's explanation, Akira also remembered Shikarabe. He's a hunter like Elena and the others. He was a hunter with Elena and the others who had been entrusted with front-line security in the construction of a temporary base at the site of Kuzshara Street, and should have been quite powerful.

"That's him. What can I do for you?

Akira retrieves the information terminal and connects the call with Shikarabe.

"It's Akira. What can I do for you?

"It's a shikarabe. I need to talk to you. Can't we just get some time now? Where are they now?

"It's the wilderness near the city. I'm going home now. What are you talking about?

"We're talking about hunter operations. I told Elena and Sarah, and it's nothing weird. There's no harm in listening. Send where we are. Come if you're interested. Bye."

That's all Sikarabe said and hung up the call.

Akira thinks a little and manipulates the information terminal to send a call request to Elena. After a moment, Elena and I wanted to make a call.

"It's Akira. Is it a little better now?

"It's okay. Is something wrong?

"It's not a big deal, but I wanted to ask Elena and the others a few questions."

"If it's going to be a long story, meet and talk somewhere? It's fine at our house. Sarah's here now."

"No, maybe it'll be over soon, so it's okay."

Akira explained her story with Shikarabe to Elena. Elena, who listened to Akira, answers with a grand (approximate) idea.

"Hmm, that's probably about recruiting personnel for the Bounty Neck Crusade. Dorancam seems pretty keen on this bounty neck crusade. Looks like they're gonna crusade after the prize neck on multiple hunter teams. A similar request came to us from Drunkham. You asked me to join one of Drancam's bounty neck crusade teams. The reward was good, and I decided to take it."

"I see. Is that the story? But do you want to tell me something like that?

"You acted together in the basement of the ruins of Kuzhara Street, didn't you? I think you decided that would be enough power. I think Akira's strength would be fine, too. I think maybe Sarah will decide that, too. At the site of Yonozka Station, Akira helped Sarah, and I don't want you to say anything about me to the owner of enough strength to help us."

"Shh, excuse me"

Elena giggles and talks to Akira, who answers in a bit of a hurry.

"... maybe Akira is a little too low on self-esteem. Modesty may be a good thing, but some people find that objectionable. Be careful."

Akira thinks she appreciates herself right. Because I have decided that the majority of my strength is due to Alpha's support. Maybe that's right, but it was making a significant difference between Akira's ratings from others and Akira's own.

Akira's real strength is covered in Alpha's support. Makes it difficult for Akira to grasp her strength. It had also caused Akira to underestimate her strength.

Elena keeps talking.

"I'll get back to it, but I don't think the Sikarabe thing is a weird story. Though I'm a little concerned that Drunkham will embark on a bounty neck crusade until he hires an outside hunter. Well, I guess you're going to front that the Hunter team at Drunkham has crusaded their bounty necks. If you crusade the prize neck on a team, the name of the crusade team and the name of the team leader will be listed as the prize neck crusader to be announced by the Hunter's Office, so the name of the outside hired hunter won't come up."

If you do, you won't even get Elena and the others' names. The fame of a successful prize neck crusade should benefit Elena and the others well enough. Akira asks strangely.

"Is that good enough for Elena and the others?

"I don't mind. I'm not even huntering to sell my name. Besides, I made that grievance a bargaining condition and raised the reward properly."

Imagine Elena probably smiling invincibly, and Akira laughed lightly too.

"In the meantime, I'm going to listen to Sikarabe. Thank you. Thank you."

"If you're going to take Drancam's request, it's best if you're on the same team."

"Yes. Bye."

Akira hung up on Elena.

Alpha stares at Akira.

"What the hell?"

'It's nothing. If you're going to Sikarabe's, let's do it once you get home. The designated location is a sub-parcel liquor store. There's no guarantee that the parking lot is open. "

'Right.... just let me know you're coming.'

Akira manipulated the information terminal to send a message to Shikarabe.

Alpha comes up with the idea. Perhaps Akira will take Sikarabe's request. The majority of the reasons for accepting the request were because Elena and the others had received the request. If Elena and the others had turned down the request, Akira would not have tried to listen to Shikarabe.

I don't know if Akira is aware of that. But you might be aware by checking that. Alpha was silent, avoiding confirmation, considering the impact of Akira's consciousness on her own plans.

Elena is stretching on the chair. The chair is comfortable enough to sit and sleep, a luxury item that won't tire you from sitting and working for long periods of time. This is Elena's favorite chair I bought excitedly.

Elena is dressed very easily. What you are wearing is about a head mounted information device and underwear. Whether it was a recoil operating in a dangerous wilderness as a hunter, he was dressed well to say it was easy and sloppy everywhere in a safe house.

Sarah brings the food. Sarah also has an easy outfit with just a feather on her shirt over her underwear. Because hunters often wear battle clothes that adhere to their skin when they are operating, or both Elena and Sarah dress so openly in the house that there is a difference in degrees. The big difference would be the way customers dress when they arrive.

Sarah asks Elena as she picks up dinner with her.

"We were talking, but it was also progress in talking about tomorrow's request?

"No, I'm not. Akira contacted me and asked me a few questions. Looks like Akira was also asked by Drancam to assist her in the Bounty Neck Crusade. Though I didn't seem to decide to take the request. Shikarabe told me about you."

"Did Akira also come to be asked by Drancam by name? If Akira's strength, it's not even that strange.... Is that it? But if Drancam asked you to do it, you'd be contacted by Drancam's negotiator first, right? Why are you talking to Akira directly from Shikarabe?

Sarah points me out, and Elena begins to wonder, too.

"Speaking of which, yeah. Even when Sikarabe talked to us, she didn't seem to know that we had a contract with Drancam..., maybe an internal contact error. Maybe we're in a pretty hurry not to let the other hunters get ahead of us."

Just a question. That's about it. Neither Elena nor Sarah thought deeply.

There are many taverns in the lower division of Kugamayama city. Many of the taverns where many hunters stop on their way home from work are not quite safe. Armed humans are drinking when they return from the dangerous wilderness. Not all humans drink well behaved. I guess I'm leaving the least reason to drink, but there's a personal difference to that extent.

There are also many whorehouses and whores that deal with such hunters around such taverns. And there are many people in charge of the havoc behind them. Human beings who are not confident of rough things should not stop by.

Sicarabe and the others were among the taverns operating in such places.

Shikarabe is talking to her colleagues in the back seat of the store and in the seat where the hunters, who are making relatively much money, sit. Alcohol is placed on the table, but Sicarabe has no hands on it.

It's my colleagues in Sikarabe who are drinking. One of them has an alcohol decomposition device implanted in his body, which allows him to return to the surface (shivering) in ten seconds, even if he is intoxicated. Some people are drinking alcohol with alcohol removers on hand. There will be no impact on the negotiations after this or tomorrow's work.

Shikarabe manipulates the information terminal to confirm the message from Akira. And tell your colleagues.

"Akira says she's coming here. I'll negotiate. Don't interrupt me by saying something extra."

"I know. So, can you use that Akira guy?

"At least we don't pull our legs. What are you guys guessing?

When Shikarabe asks her colleagues, she explains their assumptions and the arrangements for the additional personnel.

"I have two debtors first and one to monitor them. My arm is there. The conversation with the creditor side is attached. If you're in debt, you can let him die, but he wants you to collect the body. I've spoken to a few others, but it's subtle whether they're coming here or not."

"These are the two guys who want Conne to join Drancam. The one with the arm there and the one with the arm as much as we do. The rest of us are waiting to hear from other agents."

Shikarabe, who heard the explanation, takes confirmation.

"If you have as much strength as we do, you don't have to get involved in this matter. You should normally negotiate with Drancam's desk. What kind of back is there?

"I don't know the details. Anything. He's rubbing it somewhere and wants a back shield. If it's a regular contact, it must be creepy (first). I'm supposed to meet and hear more in person."

"... do you want me to just ask you what's going on and do the right thing?"

Shikarabe and the others are fighting for the prize neck. Shikarabe and the others were gathering personnel for this reason. That's why I called Akira.

However, the circumstances were slightly different from those of Elena and the others invited by Drancam.

Akira is walking the lower section of the city toward a tavern designated as Shikarabe. It's an insecure neighborhood in a different way than Slam Street.

I also see a drunk hunter lying in the aisle sleeping. He will not be attacked thanks to some degree of policing in the area. And more than that, there is a very good chance that the attacking side will die. I can't complain about sleeping in a place like this and being attacked. And you can't complain if the attacking party is killed after being fought back.

Akira moves on toward the desired tavern, ignoring the liquor and women's discounts. Created by sucking up the gold the hunters have earned risking their lives, the pleasure streets wield their unique glamour to maintain an environment sufficient to squander the gold they have gained at the cost of their own blood. It can be a driving force for hunters to live tomorrow, and it can also be a cause of the depravity of losing tomorrow.

It's a place Akira usually never stops by. Akira walked looking around a little intrigued.

Alpha is walking next to Akira not to bump into each other with different opponents. Nothing. Even if Alpha hits someone, it just goes through that person's body. There shouldn't be any problem, but Alpha was walking around avoiding it well.

Akira asks strangely.

"Alpha, why are you avoiding people?" You wouldn't have a problem bumping into anything else, would you?

It's a matter of mood.

'When you bump into someone, does Alpha feel bad?

'Akira doesn't feel well. If Akira can only look at me as if I'm merging with someone there, it's fine. "

Alpha deliberately overlapped his standing close to the hunter who was walking nearby. An obscure, four-armed, man-shaped object with a half-way strangely mixed head of Hunter and Alpha facial parts could be created.

Akira blushes. It certainly doesn't feel good to watch.

'I'm sorry. Keep avoiding me.'

"Isn't that right?

Alpha smiles back to Akira's side (buckwheat).

Hunters are equipped in a variety of ways. Many hunters are conspicuously armed. He must have come back from the ruins of the old world and stayed here. Some hunters have artifacts.

Akira's gear is fortified clothing, and AAH assault guns and A2D assault guns. The CWH objective assault gun and DVTS minigun were left with the car. And a rucksack full of spare ammunition.

Gear like going to the ruins might turn you down. That's what I've been thinking and putting those gear away, but maybe I could have brought it.

Akira arrived in front of the tavern designated as Shikarabe. The desired tavern is a fairly large three-story building.

When Akira enters the tavern, the master of the tavern looks at Akira and speaks in a slightly harsh tone.

"This isn't where kids like you come in. Don't leave."

Akira answers normally.

"Tell that to the one who called such a kid here. There's got to be a guy named Shikarabe. Don't you know?

"I don't know. Look appropriately.... utterly, what a fool to call a kid like this to a place like this"

While complaining, the store owner seemed to admit that Akira would go inside the store. Akira decided to go inside and look for Shikarabe because she was not refused entry for the time being.

There are quite a few hunters in the large store. Looking around at those hunters and looking for Sicarabe is a pretty cumbersome task.

"Where is Sikarabe?... Contact Sikarabe to ask '

Akira tries to retrieve the information terminal. But before that, Alpha talks.

'There was someone like that in the back of the second floor. Let's go.'

How Alpha found Sicarabe. Although Akira was a little concerned about it, it was time to get used to it, and she stopped asking. Alpha has been telling us where the enemy is on the other side of the shield since before Akira got the information gathering equipment. This is more of a story.

Akira has been taught various knowledge in Alpha classes. And the more you acquire common sense knowledge in class, the more you know that Alpha is incomprehensible.

Yo (more) is not as important for Akira as it is for Alpha's identity. What matters to Akira is that Alpha is on Akira's side, albeit in the contractual relationship of the request.

So Akira puts a lid on that curiosity. More importantly, more importantly, make it heavy stone so that the lid that doesn't need to be opened doesn't open. Don't let the luck that's been going on since that day go away. Don't let your days with Alpha disappear.

Akira leads Alpha upstairs to Shikarabe. As Alpha said, Sicarabe was sitting in the back seat upstairs.

Shikarabe also noticed Akira. Shikarabe waves gently and calls Akira.

"You're here. Right here."

Shikarabe and the others were seated at a large circular table. Akira sits in the seat across from Shikarabe. Shikarabe and the others are now sitting on the larger couch to keep the customer service woman on the side (buckwheat).

Shikarabe giggles and talks to Akira.

"These two are my colleagues, Yamanobe and Parga. Yamanobe, Parga. This is Akira."

Yamanobe looks at Akira with interest. Parga looks at Akira with skepticism.

Akira asks Shikarabe to gaze at her without worrying.

"So, what's the story?

"Oh, do you want anything before that? It's a tavern, but it's got a lot of other food besides knobs."

"I don't need it. The dishes are not cooked until you know if you want to hear them while eating. I don't even know the price."

To Akira, who is a little alert, Shikarabe laughs and talks invincibly.

"Right. Then let's get down to business. You know about the bounty neck? We're planning a bounty neck crusade. We can do it alone if we simply defeat it, but if we defeat it quickly, surely, and in large quantities, the boulder is not strong enough. We decided to hire additional personnel to compensate for the shortfall. So I spoke to Akira. The reward plays. Don't they hire you?

Shikarabe's story is as good as Elena expected. Akira answers calmly.

"That depends on the specifics of the contract. But if that's the extent of the conversation, why don't you give me an overview at the time of the call?

When Akira asks, Shikarabe continues the conversation with a serious look.

"I'm having trouble thinking halfway through it without asking the terms of talking to me now. The Hunter's Office shall not intervene in this request. It's a purely hunter-to-hunter request. I want you to drink this condition."

Shikarabe and the others are waiting for Akira's reply with a serious look. But Akira doesn't know what the word means. I know it's very important, but that's all.

Akira also listens back with a serious look.

"... what exactly would be the disadvantage if you took it? Explain as much as you can. You don't have to explain it all to me. Such an implicit understanding is based on rubbing. I didn't tell you because I didn't ask. Leave me alone with that. I'm not a dranckham person, and I'm basically acting alone, so I'm oblivious to hunter-to-hunter arrangements and implicit matters."

"It would be good. Ask me back every time you decide it's ambiguous."

Shikarabe will explain the details of the request to Akira.

A request not to intervene in the hunter's office is a request that is not seen as official. For example, the fact that Shikarabe hired him to fight the bounty neck is not part of Akira's history of hunter operations.

And there's nothing to guarantee this request. In the case of contracts involving the hunter's office, if there is an inadequacy in the content of the request or an unpaid remuneration, the record shall be kept. It becomes compulsory for the contracted hunter to try to keep the contract. More than anything else, the only thing keeping the contract is the hunter himself who signed it. Sometimes they even get robbed and killed trying to take away the unpaid reward at all costs.

Consider the request not to intervene in the hunter's office a fraud. Sometimes there's so much difference in credibility that they say so.

I don't know if I'd make up for all that detriment, but the rewards offered to Akira are exorbitant. Split the rest by deducting expenses from the prize money that crusaded the prize neck. But I won't include the Sicarabes in the number that divides them. The final team size is being adjusted, but assuming the prize neck is knocked down by four people, including Akira, we will split the Sikarabe and the others, so everything else that we deduct from the prize money will belong to Akira.

The payment method will take the form of Shikarabe and the others collecting the prize money from the Hunter's Office once and transferring it from there to Akira's account without expense. Even if you fail to crusade the prize neck, a million aurums will be paid from Sikarabe to Akira. However, in such a case, the necessary expenses shall be included.

Akira defies Shikarabe's explanation and clears up her doubts.

"I have a few things to check. The first. How far do you have expenses, exactly?

"I'm not willing to make a fine decision. So explain what you don't admit. First of all, you can't pay off your debts. You can't admit that as an expense because you can't participate in an operation without paying off your debts. They will be paid from their own rewards. And no gear, either. I bought 500 million orum of new gear to defeat the 500 million orum prize neck. If you admit that as an expense, he'll take virtually all of it. However, even in such cases, the cost of ammunition for new equipment and the cost of renting equipment shall be recognized as expenses.... Looking for a way out is a hassle. The three of us will not receive an aurum from the prize money if we succeed in the prize neck crusade. I promise this."

"Second. How many people are on the team?

"A minimum of four, including Akira. It depends on how many people you end up with, but maybe 15 or 20, that's about it. I'm going to collect as much as I can, but it'll be about thirty at most."

"Third. What guarantees are there that the rewards will be paid?

"None"

Sikarabe affirmed so succinctly. Akira's expression gets harsher. Akira and Shikarabe hit each other in sight to intimidate each other.

After a brief silence, Shikarabe supplements.

"... to insist, I'd rather honestly pay the reward than get trampled down and kill each other with an angry Akira. That's what I think. Akira only has the strength to make it easier for me to step down on payments. So let's step down. If that's what I'm thinking, I wouldn't bring this story to Akira in the first place. It won't help if I take you."

Conceive as Akira gazes at Shikarabe. If interpreted favourably, Shikarabe says he recognizes Akira's strength. If you interpret it as twisted, Shikarabe says that if Akira's strength is unexpected, she will step down the reward. I guess that depends on Akira's strength and turns into either.

"... fourth. Why not intervene in the hunter's office? It's nothing. Can we just sign a contract normally?

When Akira asks about it, Shikarabe's expression gets a little harsh.

"If I don't answer that question, does Akira say no to this story?

"No, at least I don't want to get caught up in a weird rub."

Let's see how Shikarabe looks at Yamanobe and Parga. Parga talks with a bitter laugh.

"Isn't that good? Anyway, it's a story we'll find out within. Well, I know what you don't want to say."

Yamanobe also endorses Parga.

"If you don't play, you won't have a problem. Shikarabe recommends the power of war. I want to avoid being turned down for that degree of reason."

Shikarabe exhales, then looks at Akira and speaks.

"Don't be ridiculous, okay? For once, we're talking about the inside of Drancam. It's not about talking to outsiders."

Akira snorts firmly and answers.

"Okay."

I didn't lie. That's what Sikarabe decided. And start talking in a slightly grumpy tone.

"... the point is, well, part of a power struggle inside Drancam, that's convenient"
