Rebuild World

100 Hands-on Negotiations

Tomezymas are on the second floor of the tavern, where they meet. Tomezima and Corbe, and an elderly woman named Viola, surrounded the table.

Tomezyma confirms the time. It's about 15 minutes till the scheduled time. I have checked the time many times since earlier. That is a sign of a dislike for this wait. I want it to start early and I want to put it off forever. Both of them were manifested in attitude.

Talk like Viola mocks Tomezima lightly.

"You can't afford much. Why don't you calm down a little bit? Without calm, there will be no negotiation."

Tomezima sees and talks to Viola with her irritable (needy) eyes.

"Shut up. I know.... I allowed you to be present, but don't say anything extra. If you make things easier for me, I'll hold you accountable."

"I know. I won't stand in your way. I just want to check up on a hunter named Akira up close. I'm not willing to play Akira's arbiter with you, but I'm willing to forgive you. You were convinced of that, weren't you?

Viola is laughing a little fun. It's a smile on the face of a human who enjoys rubbing.

Viola is not Tomezima's colleague either. I'm not even from this tavern. It has nothing to do with the whorehouse on the third floor. It's just a woman present here in Tomezima's legend.

Tomezima gathered information about Akira after finishing negotiations with Shikarabe and the others. Viola is one of those sources. None of the Akira information Viola provided to Tomezima was important or busy.

Akira took over Slam Street's captive party, led by a hunter collapse called Sibea, by killing all the executives, including Sibea. He manipulates his own mistress into the position of captive party boss. When he rubbed (also) with Sijima's inmate, Akira killed Sijima's messenger and boarded with his body at Sijima's stronghold. Conflicted with Drancam's young hunters on the lower section boulevard, rubbing (also) until they were close to killing each other.

Having found out about that information, Tomezima determined Akira to be a pretty dangerous person. A typical dangerous person who does not hesitate to kill and acts without thinking ahead. There seems to be some reason for hesitation in turning an organization like Drunkam against the enemy on a boulder, but it still seems to have been a rather susceptible situation.

Tomezymas' organization is not as huge as Drunkham's. When Akira was willing to kill Tomejima and the others, it was unclear how far she would go to stop the execution.

Tomezima had heard Yamanobe's words of appreciation for Akira. The type that kills too much and destroys itself. Tomezima agrees. That's why I wanted to get my hands on Akira. Depending on the interpretation, it is also believed that Tomezima's men tried to kill Akira. I was sorry to be the wingman hostile to Akira until I was caught in the caddle.

I don't know why (why) Tomezima wanted Viola to be present at such a negotiating place with humans. But it's true that Viola is familiar with the circumstances behind the subdivisions of the city. Tomezima allowed Viola to be present (to facilitate negotiations with Akira).

The same reason why Tomezima made this store a venue for negotiations with Akira. At least Akira didn't kill Kadr on this occasion last time.

The reason Corbe is on this occasion is also ostensibly because of his liaison with Akira, but the thought that if someone he knows is present, Akira will be less likely to be in the outrage. It should be noted that I also asked Sikarabe to refuse to be busy with the post-processing of the prize neck crusade.

Viola smiles lusciously for fun, so she asks Corbe.

"Hey, why don't you let me tell you a little more about that Akira?

"I told you earlier. I'm not even close to him. That's all I just told you. You've done a lot of research on Akira, haven't you? Wouldn't you know better that way?

"I'd like to hear more from the party. Even though I said I looked it up, it's not the information I saw and heard myself look it up. I don't care about Caddle. From what I've heard, Akira seems to be a pretty strong hunter. But then why did a guy named Caddle do such a stupid imitation? You were there, weren't you? Can't you think of anything?

"I don't know. Isn't that because you're an idiot? I guess the reason fools do fools is because they're fools, right? Isn't there a deep reason?

"I want to know why it's so shallow. I know you're stupid because you're stupid for ridiculous reasons, but for once. Why don't you just say it appropriately?

Seeing Viola asking intriguing, Corbe thinks a little and answers.

"Right. That guy mistook Akira for the head count that the Sikarabes duly called to reduce the reward amount. So I killed Akira and tried to increase my share. So Akira ran because she looked weak and full of gaps.... No, too brief? Even if the debt was so dull, I would do it somewhere else if I were to do it..."

"Did you look weak all the time?

"At that time, you were foolish that a guy named Sikarabe had more young hunters these days who were only fully equipped and not strong enough, and you thought he was something like that? No, that's why it would be hard later if I killed a hunter belonging to Drancam...... You didn't think about that area because you're an idiot? No, but hey..."

Corbe had repeatedly withdrawn after that, considering the reasons.

Viola was listening to Corbe and getting the information she needed. Akira looks weak. At least it doesn't look like Caddle would hesitate to hostile. And in fact, it's strong enough that Tomezima can easily (and easily) kill Caddle, a hunter prepared for (for) the bounty neck crusade.

He sounds interesting. Viola thought so and waited for Akira to come with a fun look.

When Akira enters the tavern, the owner of the tavern tells her in a slightly harsh tone, just like before.

"This isn't where kids like you come in. Don't leave."

"Tell that to the one who called such a kid here. There's got to be a guy named Tomezima. Don't you know?

Akira answered the same as last time. But the store owner's response was not the same.

"... are you Akira?

"Yes, but"

The look on the store owner's face gets a little harsh. Unlike last time, Tomezima told the store owner.

"... Tomezima is upstairs. Same seat as before. Hey, don't make a scene in my shop."

"You're not gonna make a scene out of me."

"What does that have to do with my shop? Same if you guys make a scene. Look, don't make a scene in my shop. You get it?

"Okay."

Store owner gives zero (spill) the same stupidity as last time. But the look is more bitter.

"... at all, what are you thinking of calling a kid like this to a place like this"

Akira didn't know if such a kid was referring to age or to his last behavior.

Akira heads to the seat where Tomejima and the others wait. Tomezima, who found Akira, had a stiff bitter laugh. Because Akira is heavier than last time.

The gun Akira carries is a weapon for anti-monsters that is even difficult to carry without the physical capability of fortified clothing. I would almost forget that you are dealing with a hunter with good sense that is normally negotiable, but with that on the back of a dangerous person, its killing power begins to make sense as soon as possible. Tomezima gained an understanding of why Tong Qi Lian spent a lot of money on "To Improve Hunter Ethics".

Tomezima managed to smile lovingly toward Akira as she forced (did) loosen her hardened expression.

"You've come well. Have a seat."

You can't be stronger than you need to be. You can't be weaker than you need to be. Tomezima tries to respond with Akira by making room.

Akira looked closer without sitting in the recommended chair. When I found a chair with no backrest, I pulled it and sat down. Because it's hard to sit in the way of a gun on your back when you have a backpack.

Tomezima's expression was slightly distorted (boiled) when she tried so hard to pretend to be peaceful. It would take a lot more effort when attacking than putting a gun at hand. Seeing how Akira doesn't try to get her gear off, Tomezima proceeds with that excuse to herself in her head.

"Being here means you can think of it as positive to negotiate hand-to-hand, right?

Akira's attitude gives her a clear view of the opponent. Akira answers as she stares at Tomezima.

"I'm not willing to make a scene. The owner stabbed me in the nail downstairs."

"Oh well."

Akira answers sincerely. That's what Tomezima understood. That's exactly what I decided to assume. It is unknown to what extent that would guarantee safety, but suddenly it should have been less likely to be shot dead.

It's good to talk to the store owner. Tomezima relieved (mostly) with that in mind and regained some leeway.

But still, Tomezima's grin remains stiff. I won't pull out my gun during the negotiations. It is normal for a hunter of good sense. The last time I broke that obvious, it was the person I brought in. And we have to move forward with the negotiations against the dangerous people in front of us now.

Tomezima proceeds with the story.

"Just listen to me. First of all, I don't want to antagonize Akira with us. This is the big premise. That's why I want to settle this matter. So far, is there any deviation between this side's will and Akira's?

"No. I've never been over it before if it's okay."

"That was good. It's a relief."

Tomezima asks while watching Akira.

"... So, I'm dealing with Caddle, yeah, the one who pointed the gun at Akira last time, that, hopefully, I want you to miss it. In addition to his original debt, he's got to pay for the extra personnel I put out to the Sikarabes. I mean, when he dies, he gives us more big, bad loans. I need him to live and pay off his debts.... This is a situation over here, but what does Akira want with Caddle? Whatever you want to kill? I guess keeping him alive on that spot doesn't mean you really want to kill him, either?

Akira thinks again. Akira's thoughts on Caddle had already become quite cluttered. I don't care. That's the majority. I don't want to kill him until I find him. But if I see you in the wilderness, I might kill you. To that extent.

When Akira encounters Kadr in the wilderness, if Kadr gets desperate and runs away, she may not chase him because it's also a hassle to chase. But if Caddle fights back because he thinks he's going to be killed, he'll kill Caddle without hesitation.

But just because they want you to miss it, shutting up and following it may also cause trouble later. When Akira decides to do so, she asks to see how the other person is coming out.

"If I missed him, what would you give him instead?

"... I want to negotiate that with you. What's your demand?

"Even if they say so, nothing in particular."

Tomezima shuts up. Akira is not willing to run off with Tomezima. I simply can't think of any particular demands, and it's just a hassle to think desperately. Because if Tomezima speaks of forgiveness with a broad heart if it doesn't matter, etc., Akira will kick the reconciliation. Tomezima also has considerable experience negotiating with hunters. That's about it.

Akira continues the conversation.

"Suggest something in return. I don't like to think about that."

Tomezima wanted to solve it with gold if she could. But you can't offer an amount from yourself. Anyway, Akira's life-threatening rub.

If Tomezima presents a poorly cheaper amount, that alone could damage Akira's mood. Everyone puts a high price on their lives. You won't want to be treated cheaply. And even if we propose Akira a high settlement, there are limits to how much Tomejima pays.

The amount of debt already owed to Kadr is close to the limit, even if it forces Kadr to bear the payment to Akira. If we let him carry any more debt, Caddle will fly. And mostly trying to escape to distant cities, monsters attack you in the wilderness along the way and you die. Debt cannot be recovered and will end up stuck with Tomezymas.

And if Akira asks for a very high amount of money, Tomezima must also deal with it, including hostilities with Akira. If you ask for extreme stories, 10 billion aurums to be paid, if you can't pay for the caddle, Tomejima will replace you, etc., Tomejima must also be prepared and contend with Akira.

Akira is silently awaiting Tomezima's response. Tomezima was a lot of confused about whether she should offer the amount from herself, manage to get Akira to offer the amount, or switch to something other than gold in return.

Viola pinches her mouth there.

"A financier like Tomezima may take a debt instead from someone who kills a customer who is heavily indebted. And when they decide they can't do it because of their power, they can sell their claims to a possible vendor to cover their losses. It's one of the means to recover a lot of debt."

Akira shifts her gaze from Tomezima to Viola. And ask briefly.

"So?"

"That's all. I didn't know if you knew about it, so I explained it to you. I just explained the situation where we both fall into if nothing goes wrong. Additionally, it is common for people who lend money to hunters to retain their fighting power to take it away from them. They have decency, too. Trouble?"

Akira asks without changing her expression.

"When the bargaining breaks down, Tomezima will be the winger of selling her claims at a forfeit value, and I will run into a debt takeover without me. You're just gonna lose both of them, so pull over without paying me back. Or concede significantly. Sounds like what I'm saying."

Viola replies with a thin smile.

"I'll leave the interpretation to you."

"Right."

Akira returns her gaze to Tomezima's. The gaze is slightly steeper. Keep your mouth shut and watch Tomezima.

Tomezima is exploring the sincerity of Viola, who has suddenly pinched her mouth, while confirming Akira's reaction to what she has just heard.

Viola also keeps her mouth shut and watches things change, without saying anything more.

After a brief silence, Akira exhaled deeply. And I took my seat in silence.

Viola asks Akira with a laugh.

"Reconciliation has been reached. Can I interpret it that way?

"No? I just cracked."

Akira answers viola so lightly before looking at Tomezima.

"I think you agree with me that you're silent."

Tomezima rushes out.

"Hey, give me a minute!?

Tomezima did shut up. Viola is right when it comes to the treatment of claims. It is also true that Tomezima was thinking of using it as a stepping stone to draw concessions from Akira. But we were going to start to fold and match conditions that were mutually agreeable. I didn't think Akira would suddenly take a negotiating seat.

Viola, although a little surprised, doesn't panic to tell Akira.

"Very short temper. Negotiation is about tenacity, isn't it?

Akira tries to leave silently without returning a reply. Tomezima was stopping Akira, but Akira ignored him and headed straight for the stairs, straight out of the tavern.

Akira, who left the tavern, sighed heavily. Akira also seems to have an awareness that it was impulsive behavior.

Next to Akira, Alpha is smiling. Akira looks at Alpha's expression and tells her excuses.

'... kick it in a bit and you'll drink the demands. I didn't like that attitude'

'Right. I agree with that.'

'If you keep negotiating, I felt like you could clean up the case of trying to kill me for a cheap price. That feels like a very bad thing'

"You sure do, don't you?"

"Nothing. I'm not going to go find Caddle and kill him now. It's a hassle."

"It's certainly a lot of trouble."

'... uh, how far the other person will tolerate the conditions to avoid hostility with me. It could have been a good opportunity to confirm that. But if I make a weird precedent, I feel like that's gonna be a big deal'

'That's true. But that's a reason to follow, isn't it?

Akira shuts up. Alpha smiles softly. Maybe what makes you look angry is thinking too much. Still, Akira walks downtown somehow remembering the awkwardness.

After a short walk, Alpha stands in front of Akira, who still looks concerned.

'I'm not angry at you. I respect Akira's ideas. I didn't stop you, either. It doesn't matter in itself that the negotiations have broken down. If Akira is willing to be firm and unacceptable, I don't mind if Akira starts engaging on that spot. I will support Akira as much as I can then. However, if Akira had made up her mind to the point of confirming my mood terribly, I would have thought a little more.'

'... Yes. I'll be careful.'

"Yi"

Alpha smiled satisfied when she heard from Akira. Akira, who saw it, also regained her composure.

Alpha suggests to Akira.

"I'm downtown, so why don't we eat?" Yesterday Akira said we'd eat something delicious without worrying about the price, right?

'I was. Good. Let's find a place that looks good.'

'I'll look for a lot of things on the network, too. Is there any hope?

'Then ask for a sandwich. Give me something I can eat. "

Akira was remembering the sandwich Alpha had yesterday. A sandwich that seems very delicious (hey) and can never be eaten, only present in visual information.

Alpha laughs and answers.

"I don't know if all that stuff exists here, but will you look for it?"

Akira decided to forget about earlier and enjoy a stroll downtown with Alpha. Whether we could find a good store for Akira was second to none.

On the second floor of the tavern, Tomezima stares at Viola.

"Hey! Because you said something extra! What are you gonna do about it!?

Viola talks without losing any room.

"Short-hearted, you were an insensitive kid. Someone's going to kill me soon, even if I have the strength to do that."

"I don't care about that! It's your fault! You know what I mean!?

"We couldn't have shut each other up forever, could we? I guess you couldn't tell me how much the settlement was offered anyway, could you? You (you) should have listened to me and expected Akira to break it. Akira said so, too. If you keep your mouth shut, you'll agree. If you hadn't stopped me immediately, Akira wouldn't have taken a seat, would she? Didn't I?"

Tomezima was slammed by Viola and deflected.

Corbe, who has been watching closely, pinches his mouth.

"So, what are we going to do? Akira's gone, too, and if not, I'm going home, too? Yeah, I'll push just in case. You guys are on your own to antagonize Akira, but I'm not cooperating. I will never participate in the installation of Akira, nor will I monitor or guard the Kaddle. I won't even take on your escort. Give me some room."

Tomezima rushes out when she hears things like Corbe's other (one) thing.

"Wait, Caddle's a raven. I don't care, do I?

"I don't know how you manage Caddle right now, but what if Caddle goes crazy and kills Akira? What if I mistake that for a human instruction that would cost Akira dearly if she were to die by Caddle? I don't want to get involved."

Tomezima's expression gets worse and he yells at Viola with an even more desperate look.

"Viola! It's your fault! I'll take the blame!

Viola answers without losing any room.

"Okay. Then let me buy Caddle's claim. So the cause and effect of the earlier story also move on to me. Well, how about 50% of the denomination?

Tomezima was confused and cut the momentum. And I unconsciously rebuffed (soldered) Viola's words and started calculating the damage.

"... Caddle is still alive, and Akira won't necessarily kill Caddle, 50% too low"

"Who buys claims on people whose lives are being targeted by hunters who have successfully crusaded their bounty necks? How much would you buy? It's a throwaway, isn't it? Or sell it to other creditors without telling them what's going on? It would be tough if I found out. Or are you confident that you can manage and take away the fool who did it? You're in such a hurry because you don't, are you?

Tomezima gives a bittersweet look. All of Viola's pointers were diagrams.

Speak as Viola teaches with an obvious sympathetic smile on her face.

"I feel responsible too. That's why I'm trying to buy such a non-buyer's claim for 50% of the nominal value. I'm ready to pay for the damage, and I'm trying to take responsibility. As someone who deals in gold, I want you to understand my sincerity. For the record, as far as I'm concerned, I've decided that I took responsibility at the time of making this proposal. You're on your own to kick such good terms, but don't think I'll accept another suggestion, do you?

Tomezima has a distressed look on her face. Various interests are probably staggered behind that brain.

"... Still too cheap for 50%. How about 60%, 60%?

"Fine. I have a future relationship, and let's take it."

"... Damn!

The business meeting was concluded, but Tomezima's expression remained unfloated. Because we just lost less, and there's no difference in loss.

Tomezima and Viola complete the receipt of claims by sending (or retrieving) information terminals and documents.

"Then I'll let you excuse me for this. I hope you keep up the good business."

Viola laughed and said so, leaving in a good mood. Tomezima dropped off Viola with a frustrating (needy) look.

Tomezima orders liquor by manipulating the table's terminal with a grumpy look. It is clear that it is self-discarding alcohol.

Corbe takes a seat.

"I'm going home, too. I know how you feel, but just keep it that way."

"If you know how it feels, go out with it. I'll give you a luxury."

"No. Forgive me for getting tangled up with alcohol. If you want someone to tangle with, you can call them from the ground floor or from the third. Bye."

"... hey!

I guess the loss is a considerable amount. Tomezima threw up without hiding her displeasure.

When Corbe left the tavern, Viola was waiting outside.

Corbe shuts up and puts his right hand out on Viola. Viola silently handed Corbe an envelope with a bunch of bills.

Corbe fueled Tomezima's anxiety because Viola had instructed him to do so beforehand. Corbe was also hired by Viola.

Viola smiles and talks a little unhappy.

"It's easier to pay the reward by wire transfer. Can you make me a wire transfer from next?

Corbe answers with a smile.

"I want to avoid keeping a deposit history from bad quality people on a good hunter's account like me."

Viola talks with a meaningful laugh.

"That's good. Well, the meaning and interpretation of words vary from person to person. I'm not going to pursue it deeply."

Corbe got nostalgic when he finished checking the contents of the envelope. And ask Viola what she cared about.

"I ask intrigued, what are you going to do with buying out such a claim? It's not your business to lend or take money, is it? Resale is also difficult, as you explained to Tomezima. You misdemonize and sell your history to potential enemy organizations?

Viola laughs and answers.

"A lot. I have a few ideas, but I don't know exactly how to use them."

Viola also undertakes arbitration for rubbing (and) mesmerization between organizations, whose hands are highly valued. But Corbe knows. That Viola sometimes makes a spark of rubbing, lighting, oiling, and inflaming herself for profit. And that you're standing around like you're never responsible for it.

You should pay attention to the request from Kuviola for a while. I don't know whether to use the claims bought from Tomezima for rubbing or fuel. But burning flashy doesn't seem to be a problem. Corbe doesn't want to be involved in the rubbing of Akira tangles.

We will never get involved in this matter. Corbe swore so strongly.
