Rebuild World

115 Lightness of the trigger

Akira had been taken by Elena and Sarah to the dining room at the hunter's office outpost.

The car stopped at the side of the parking lot (by the side). Outside the parking lot, but if I asked for security, I was supposed to have the same security as the parking lot on an ad hoc basis. They charge the same as usual.

Elena and Sarah are sitting across from Akira, all three of whom are in their seats asking for a light meal.

Both Elena and Sarah are laughing, but the quality of their smiles is slightly different. Sarah's attitude represents Akira's unexpected interest in friendship. Elena's attitude is, to put it strongly, close to gathering information about an unknown situation.

Elena asks Akira.

"So, what does Akira and Carol have to do with this?... No, it doesn't make any deep sense? Carol and I are going to act together, so I thought I'd ask you what kind of person you are. That's all."

Elena asked Akira, adding an excuse as to why (why). Elena wasn't sure why either.

Akira answers Elena's question for now.

"Whatever relationship they ask me about, I'm only with a hunter I know. I honestly don't know what kind of person Carol is, because I haven't been with her that long either. I think it would be quicker to ask Shikarabe if she wanted to know more because Shikarabe seemed to know Carol."

I didn't get any useful information about Carol. And I can't even feel like Akira's hiding something. Now Sarah asks Akira.

"Then I'm gonna ask you a lot of questions, so can you answer that? You don't have to answer anything you don't want to answer. So if you can, don't throw up lies. Because it will be a hassle. May I?"

"Okay."

"Thanks. So, first of all, how long have you been dating Carol?

"Yesterday."

Elena asks back in surprise.

"... yesterday?

"Yes."

Elena and Sarah's expression turns into confusion. Sarah talks a little hard.

"... Akira. Then Akira, as a companion to our request, brings someone she just met yesterday who Akira doesn't really know..."

"Yes... it will be..."

Akira affirmed Sarah's words while being slightly overwhelmed. Elena and Sarah are increasingly confused.

If hunters team up, the credibility of the person they work with is very important, of course. Sometimes he's the one who keeps his back and in some cases even his own life. That's why intermediaries thrive that guarantee some credibility around it.

Akira also told me that she had previous experience of being ambushed by her companions. So Akira will understand about that, too. That's what Elena and the others thought. Even taking into account Akira and Elena's failure to communicate sufficiently in advance, this should be called a lapse.

Akira lets down and asks Elena.

"... excuse me. I figured now would be a good time for us to act differently?

Elena replies in a little panic to Akira's depression.

"Eh, I'm not going to say that much. It helps us to have more power, and if you have too many problems, Sikarabe will stop the rendezvous. Uh, and, look, when it comes to Carol, if anything, Akira's gonna take the blame, right?

Akira answers firmly with a serious look.

"That is (of course). I brought you here."

Sarah asks Akira out of interest.

"To what extent exactly do you take responsibility?

Akira thinks a little before answering.

"Right. Claim it from me if it's a question of money. I'll pay you as soon as I can. I think you're gonna have to wait for me to work that much or for me to earn the shortfall."

Elena and Sarah listen to Akira's reply and think. Akira probably answers seriously, but it's a little missing content. There is no specific amount in Akira's words. It's not really possible for a person to pay as much as he says he will. Many people withdraw their statements easily (easily) the moment they tell you the specific amount. And there are many problems in the world that are not money.

Sarah continues to ask Akira.

"Anything else?

"If Carol did harm to Elena and the others, I would be responsible for killing Carol."

Akira answered normally. I could not feel the determination or readiness from it. But that's why both Elena and Sarah understood what Akira was seriously saying.

Akira is a normal person on the side who can kill people. No fear, no hatred, no enthusiasm, no faith, no loyalty, no determination, no readiness for the act, no excitement, no agitation, no forgetting me, no selflessness, no hesitation, no normal killer. Those who live inside the fence have so little resistance to murder that they determine they are grossly unethical and off track.

If you need both Elena and Sarah, you kill people. I also have experience with murder many times. But it's about defeating the bandits who tried to assault Elena and the others in a legitimate field of defense.

That could be the same for Akira. But at least it's certain that Akira's trigger is lighter than Elena's or Sarah's. Elena and Sarah understood that too.

Elena tells Akira with a serious look.

"Okay. But let me order one. Let us decide on the harm and how to deal with it. I want to avoid killing each other on the team if I can. You have a lot of decency."

"Okay. Don't hesitate to say so then."

Akira answered firmly. It was an unmistakable reply.

Sarah looks at Akira and thinks a little troubled.

(I'm also curious that Akira brought in someone she just met yesterday, but I'm most curious about why, or I don't think so...)

Sarah asks Akira to defuse her inner doubts.

"So, what happened yesterday? I was wondering if you could let me know about Akira, including when she met Carol."

"Okay."

I'm going to tell Elena and the others that Akira is likely to have something to do with it. that he went to the ruins of Mihazono Street and entered the Serantalville. That I met Carol in the building. That he managed to escape after being suddenly attacked by a large number of mechanical monsters. Having Carol covered for a lost relic. Having been served a meal. I scratched and talked about them. He kept his mouth shut about Carol's side business with Boulder.

"Carol's information was very helpful in getting out of the Selantarville. So I hired Carol as a guide, thinking that if there was someone familiar with the site, we could safely accomplish this request."

"You had a rough time. Can I ask you how exactly you got out of here?

That's what Sarah asks me, and Akira reluctantly replies.

"Uh..., uh, do you really want to hear it?

"I'm not trying to force you. If Akira doesn't want to talk, you don't have to."

"That's not why, though, irregularly, it's the information I got by paying for the information..."

Speak as Elena was convinced.

"Oh, that's the thing. Should we pay Akira some money, too?

Akira shakes her head to the side in a panic.

"No, if you're going to tell Elena and the others, I'm not taking any money. I just wondered what it would be like as a hunter to tell other hunters that kind of valued information. What should information like that be treated in common sense? I gave you money and you bought it, so judging by what I like, is it a good thing to talk around? What do you think of Elena?

Elena gives a slightly unexpected look. Because I didn't think Akira would be that cautious in handling the information in that hand. Akira has spoken too naturally to Elena and the others about unseen sites in the past. Sarah was also a little surprised.

It would be good if Akira talked to herself and changed her perception. Speak up a bit in a good mood while Elena thinks so.

"Depends. You shouldn't talk about information if it's part of the condition that you don't say anything else. If you don't have such a contract, I think you can do whatever you want. But there are also implicit understandings with them. If they spread the information they sold indiscriminately, they might raise the price of the information next time. I guess I'll just have to get some experience around here."

"... that's hard"

"If you're lost in judgment, shut up. You don't have to answer because we asked you. Right. Could I ask if the information fee and the content matched the information fee?

"The information fee is five million aurum. I think that was all worth it. That information will make a decision, including taking it out of the crisis."

Sarah roared a little.

"Five million aurum? If Akira is convinced, I guess it's not about me pinching her mouth...... Has it been suspended or raised because of a critical situation? Are you okay?"

"It's okay. I took on Carol's escort to offset that reward, so I haven't actually paid an aurum. Either way, it was convenient for Carol to die until we got out."

Elena laughs and talks invincibly.

"I'll do it."

Sarah was laughing a little unexpectedly, too. Akira was a little lit up.

Elena and the others asked Akira a whole lot of information about Carol. And Carol decided she had no material of concern in terms of combat. Carol asked Akira to escort her in Serantalville, but she can't fight anything else. And today they changed it to a piece of equipment that can adequately handle the situation. If Shikarabe thinks Carol is going to be there, she won't allow him to accompany her.

I guess it's also true that Carol is familiar with the information on the Mihazono Street ruins. I'm pretty sure he kept at least enough useful information for Akira's survival. Akira thought of becoming Akira and brought a human being who could be of great help in his actions at the ruins of Mihazono Street.

Sarah tells Akira a little sorry after she's relieved (mostly) that her expectations are off.

"I'll apologize first. I'm sorry. To be honest, I thought Akira might have been fooled by Carol's incense. So, I don't know, I don't know how to say this, but I think Akira told Carol she was good at it, and she used it as a good idea."

Elena also speaks with a slightly sorry look.

"... sorry. I thought so, too. You said Akira was basically running hunter operations by herself, right? That Akira suddenly brought in a woman like Carol, so I read a little deep."

Akira had a puzzling look without knowing what Elena and the others were saying for the time being. But soon I understand what it means. Certainly no wonder they judged Carol that way when she dressed up. Answer with a bitter smile.

"Eh, I'm sorry I made you worry weird. It's okay. I don't think I'm gonna get caught up in that."

Sarah laughs and talks like a prank for fun.

"Really? Then can I give it a try?

Sarah sat back next to Akira as she took her seat. And leaned over to Akira to keep herself, smiling (cheeks) as she stared.

Akira starts to panic clearly.

"Hey, hey, Sarah!?

Sarah keeps her face slightly closer to Akira as she stares at Akira. As Sarah's face approaches, Akira's impatience becomes harsh.

When she saw Elena as Akira asked for help, Elena was smiling bitterly with a little fun.

"Looking at that, I don't think you're going to be all right. Why don't you get used to it?

Sarah left Akira. Akira exhales with a little light and answers only a little dissatisfied.

"Give me a break..."

Sarah laughs like a prank.

"If you want to get used to it, why don't we work together a little more?

"Please stop"

"Oh, didn't you like it?

"... including that, stop it"

Akira answered with a slightly stronger lighting. Seeing that Akira, Elena and Sarah were laughing with pleasure.

Alpha was also laughing ostensibly. With regret that Akira and Elena and the others were unable to trench.

As Akira and the others waited for Shikarabe and the others at the rendezvous point, Shikarabe's armoured personnel transport arrived almost on time. Sikarabe and Carroll come out of the armoured personnel carriers. Sikarabe is somewhat on the top of the Buddha, and Carol looks in a good mood somewhat.

From her experience with hunter operations, Elena thought she was the kind of person who waited for someone who would come pretty far ahead of herself and come later, for example by meeting Sikalabe. I ask somewhat doubtfully that the sicarabe came in a rushing time.

"Too much time, but was there something wrong over there?

Carol giggles and answers in a good mood.

"I don't. He's back with a proper supply and rest."

Sikarabe was silent. Elena and the others' gaze gathers in Shikarabe. Feeling that gaze, Shikarabe answers intentionally to calm down and misdemonize something (sesame seeds).

"... replenishment is not a problem. Strongly, the price of ammunition and armoured tiles was a little higher than the market price."

"If they took the time to negotiate the price, and the supply was delayed because of it, and they couldn't rest much, they could take a break for a while."

When Elena suggests so, Carol answers on behalf of Sikarabe.

"It's okay. I took a good break. Or wasn't it enough?

Carol peeks into Shikarabe. Sikarabe answers without gazing at Carol.

"... no problem. So, what happened to Elena and the others?

"It's okay. I've chosen my next goal."

"Then let's leave immediately. The sun also rose and became safer than at night. There must be an increase in the competition rate for rescue requests."

"Right. Everybody, let's go."

Akira and the others enter their cars. When Carol sat in the passenger seat of Akira's car again, she looked at Akira with a look of good mood. Akira didn't mind leaving the car because it wasn't too rare.

Akira and the others proceed with the city section of the Mihazono Street ruins, aiming for a place where the rescued target is standing and caged. Elena and Shikarabe and Akira line up in order, choosing a relatively wide boulevard to proceed. Because narrow roads are likely closed to traffic due to the wreckage of mechanical monsters, etc.

But there are places where the wreckage of a mechanical monster is so huge that it could block that boulevard. A huge multi-legged tank had been pulverized with multiple large holes in the torso. The arms of the man-made weapon that apparently engaged them, as well as the giant pod (do it today), were also rolling.

Akira looks at them and looks at them.

"Hey Alpha. Was the city section of the ruins of Mihazono a place where these noisy people wandered around?

Alpha sitting back with her legs outside on the edge of the car door answers her face toward Akira.

'At least not until yesterday. If this is the natural sight of the ruins of Mihazono Street, I won't let Akira get here.'

'Right.... Why have you suddenly changed so much?

'I guess for some reason the level of security in the city block has been raised by a few steps. Given that A-24 is patrolling the city block, I don't think it's for dealing with the armed robberies there.'

"Armed robbery..., oh, hunter? Well, hunters would've come a lot before. '

Hunters and other mountains come to the ruins of Mihazono Street. That's enough to have a hunter's office outpost. I didn't think that was the reason for Akira, but I mouth what Alpha seems to be it.

'There's a limit to everything. It was yesterday that there was a criterion to decide to eliminate the hunters flocking to the ruins in earnest, and it happened to exceed that criterion. Maybe that's all. "

'Is that what this is about? If so, nothing has to happen the day I come to the ruins.'

Answer Akira in an unpleasant tone, with Alpha smiling lightly.

'I don't think Akira's bad luck would surprise me. I've already given up on the neighborhood. What if Akira gave up early, too?

Akira smiled bitterly. At the end of that Akira's gaze was the Serantalville. It's a huge skyscraper that stands out enough in the distance.

Carol notices Akira's bitter smile and gaze. And laugh lightly and talk.

"You had a really rough day yesterday. I wonder if that was a precursor to this ruin."

"I guess so. Carol must be familiar with the ruins of Mihazono Street? Don't you even know what's causing this?

"Unfortunately, I can't think of any."

"Is the truth unknown? Well, you don't know."

"Some hunters must be here to explore why. If you're a hunter called a cartographer, you'll learn a lot about the site in the process of exploring its internal structure. If we can find out the cause, and sell that useful information to the Hunter's Office, we'll have a value of at least 10 billion orum."

Surprised to hear the amount of money Akira told Carol.

"Oh so much!?

I'm sure Akira has some valuable information, but when I heard the exact price, I had different feelings again.

Carol laughs with pleasure when she sees Akira, who is amazed.

"Oh, it's a matter of security for the entire Mihazono area ruins? So far, I don't hear about monsters of ruins coming out to the wilderness, but that's a good chance. A large number of monsters may overflow (flood) from the ruins and greatly disrupt the distribution of monsters in the wilderness and such. There is also a risk that the transport routes, which are considered relatively safe for this reason, will disappear. If distribution between cities dies, firms dependent on that distribution will be hit hard. It would be cheap if that information could prevent it. Assuming you hired a hundred hunters that would take 100 million aurums to hire one, you think you can handle all the monsters trying to get out of the ruins with that power?

"I don't think so."

"That sort of thing. Apart from that prevention, I would normally pay for that if I could continue to control the ruins that have been built up to the hunter's office outpost to maintain a certain order. Depending on the quality of the information and the content of the negotiations, we'll have more."

Akira speaks a little emotionally.

"You've got a lot going on. Is there such a hunter operation as well? Hmm? Could Carol do the same?

I don't think a common hunter would know, such as a transparent transporter stopping (and) on the roof of a building. If Carol works as a cartographer, he's also convinced that he's familiar with the peculiar information on the ruins of Mihazono Street.

Carol laughs invincibly at Akira's question and answers.

"My hunter operation is dominated by the sale of relics from the old world, but that one is also somewhat commercial. That's about it."

Akira watched Carol as impressed, but sees Carol as surprised (a lot) to remember something.

"... you were talking about the possibility that the cartographer might have deliberately opened the doors on each floor to make it easier to get lost in order to sell the internal structure of the Serantal building at a high price, right?

"You did.... It's not me, is it?

"Right."

"That's right."

Carol replied with a smile. Akira didn't know the truth.

Elena contacts me via Akira's information terminal.

"Akira, it should be time to increase your encounter rate with the enemy considerably. Basically, I'm going through it all at once, so don't be late. Please deal with the enemy behind you. If you can't, I'll turn around, so call me early."

"Okay. Elena and the others won't be able to do it, and if you decide it's a little dangerous, move on to retreat."

Elena speaks a little provocatively.

"Oh, you won't be able to earn anything when you get home soon, will you? Is that good for Akira?

If recklessness passes, you lose your life and decay. If cowardice passes, you will not earn shards and starve to death. Hunters must correctly identify hazards and rewards. I thought Akira's remarks were a little too weak, and Elena dared (ah) speak provocatively.

"I don't mind. The safety of Elena and the others is more important than the money."

Akira ran out of clarity. Free up for a few seconds, Elena responds.

"... it's okay. I don't want to die, either, and I'm not gonna make the wrong decision around here. Thank you for your concern. Good luck with Akira."

At the end of the day, Elena's voice seemed to be in a good mood, and communication with Elena and the others was cut off.

"Alpha. I need you to drive again."

"Copy that. You don't have to hurry, I'll tell you when I find the enemy, okay?

"Getting ready early is a good thing"

Is Akira's intentions a little high because she heard Elena's reply earlier? Alpha gives instructions with that in mind.

"Akira. Now use the A4WM automatic projectile gun. I'd like to get that gun data while I can. '

"Okay."

Akira moves into the back seat to take the A4WM automatic projectile gun. It's a gun I haven't even tried and shot yet. I was going to try and shoot in the wilderness later, but didn't expect to use it in action the day after I bought it. It's not a troublesome situation. It would be better to grasp the sensation of use early.

Carol asks as she looks around.

"Akira. Did you find the enemy?

"No, I'm not responding to any enemies over here. What about Carol?

"There's no response from me either. Don't threaten me."

Didn't Akira detect another monster that Carol wouldn't recognize in some way? That's what Carol had in mind. Though the sun has risen and become brighter than at night, there are mountains of places where monsters can hide.

"I don't care if you say so. I didn't threaten you anything. Carol, you heard Mr. Elena's instructions, too, didn't you? I'm just making you more alert."

"Fair enough. I left it up to Akira during the previous raid, and you can leave it up to me next time? I'll show you something different from me yesterday."

Carol smiled full of invincible confidence talking like that.

Elena is the one driving the lead vehicle, Elena and the others. The operation of machine guns and enemy equipment that are equipped for cars is also within the scope of Elena's operation (Hanchiu). It is Sarah's job sitting in the passenger seat to destroy enemies outside the range of the machine gun.

Sarah was smiling a little fun and meaningful looking at Elena. Talk while Elena stiffens her expression a little.

"... what the hell"

Sarah answers with a little fun.

"It's nothing. I just thought you were worried."

Elena's expression is overshadowed, and Elena understands as much as Sarah realizes about it. Elena didn't loosen her expression, though, as she could tell a lot if she didn't keep her expression tight.

Elena is also a negotiator for the team. Explore the other person's belly in a negotiating setting, read behind words, spot lies (lies), explore sincerity, and avoid disadvantages. Such commonplace negotiations are repeated.

arrogant without a backdrop. Those who try to make you smile and drink a contract containing ferocious poison. A person who applies for a request that presupposes betrayal. Having negotiated many times with such people, Elena had been able to perceive from those experiences the depth of their story to some extent.

That is no exception to Akira's words. Elena almost unconsciously explored behind Akira's words and drew that conclusion. Akira hasn't spoken a lie, and she says it with all her heart without falsehood or rhetoric. Elena understands it and further explores why she answers that.

Elena and the others are safer than gold. If that was Akira's heart, Akira would have followed it without complaining even if Elena had chosen to return immediately at that point. Akira didn't earn an aurum at that point. On the contrary, Akira's earnings are clearly in deficit over and above hiring Carol already. More than Akira tolerates it, Akira did not ride Elena and the others' invitation to ask for money.

And Akira has identified the ruins of Mihazono Street as rather dangerous ruins. Akira deliberately hired Carol to accompany her for safety. There will be no mistake in that perception.

Then why did Akira take Elena's request? At least not for monetary purposes. I need money, but I have a more important purpose. What is it? Elena couldn't get back to Akira right away because she realized why.

Akira came to help Elena and the others. Akira decided that the ruins of Mihazono Street, or at least the Serantalville, were very dangerous and came to help keep Elena and the others out of similarities. If I accompany you, it will help Elena and the others somewhat. I guess that's what you decided.

If Elena and the others got in touch immediately, Akira might have told Elena and the others what was going on and done with it. But I couldn't get in touch. I guess that's why Akira came to see Elena and the others in person.

Not that Elena thought anything at all about being so worried about a young, short-lived hunter or, to put it badly, an understated hunter. Elena also has a hunter.

But enough to strike it off, Elena was happy that Akira had come to help. From meeting Akira in the first place, Elena and the others are being saved by Akira. If Akira hadn't helped Elena and the others then, Elena and the others would have been killed. Even more so now is Hunter's seniority.

Elena and Akira's feelings toward each other include favors, favors toward good friends and the same hunters, and benifits that have saved each other's lives. At least Elena doesn't see Akira as a paedophile. Probably the same for Akira. There are also issues such as age differences.

Still, if the person I like came to help me until I considered the danger to my life in addition to my profitability appearance, it's not surprising that I'm happy about it.

Elena is aware that she is in a very good mood. And I also understand that excessive exaltation can adversely affect the behavior and judgment of decency. That's why I'm tightening my face. Add, Elena didn't want to break her expression because someone who understands the mood is laughing happily next door.

Elena stabs the nail with a serious look on Sarah.

"If you have a worried consciousness from Akira, hold on to Sarah, too, right? Sarah was also helped by Akira at the site of Yonozka Station, right? You're not thinking about getting help again, are you?

Sarah answers firmly.

"I know. I will never fail like that again. I swear."

"That would be nice."

At that time, the anti-enemy device installed in Elena's car detected numerous monsters in the direction of travel. Talk as Elena looks at the reaction of the monster displayed on the enemy device.

"... if you had knocked it all down, you wouldn't have cut it. I will force you to break through while crushing the allowance. Sarah, are you ready?

"Any time."

Elena speeds up the car to create a subsequent passage ahead of time. The car's machine gun and Sarah's gun raised fire almost simultaneously and began to grind the mechanical monsters ahead.
