Rebuild World

166 The Dark Ones

Ezont family and Harlias. The aftermath of the confrontation between the giant Jailers extended to Slam Street as well. As gunshots rang from all over, Elio and the others managed to escape the difficulties by also using simple defensive walls for the base purchased from Katsuragi. Still, the agitation of the detachments was harsh, and executives like Elio and Alicia had managed to contain the runoff, but the situation continued to be rather mundane.

I can't get in touch with Akira or Cheryl. That had greatly shaken the discipline of the detaining party. The inmates managed to keep overtaking the steeple while reaffirming that their organization relied heavily on those two.

Akira and Cheryl show up there. Akira hails so lightly that the inmates flock to Akira and the others. Cheryl had managed to put it away, but the noise didn't quite heal.

Akira was going to leave as soon as she delivered Cheryl. But when Cheryl returned to Akira on this occasion, she thought the confusion in the field would hang, and asked Akira to stay. Instructions were then given to those involved to report the situation while they were away.

The inmates wanted to hear a lot from Cheryl. However, Cheryl gave instructions in a strong tone and Akira on that side (by the side) appeared to be a little frustrated by the noise, so she calmed down a little and went into her own work.

"Cheryl. Couldn't you manage to get in touch with the guys here?

"Mr. Carroll was stopping me. I want to avoid telling anyone other than Akira where I am or what's going on, assuming things happen, than you have undertaken my escort from Akira. That's what they said. I tried to get in touch with Akira, but, uh, I didn't want to connect."

"I'm sorry. I've been putting in a lot of stuff since then."

I slept well because I was tired, and said spicy, Akira misdemonized appropriately. I didn't lie. It's true that it was hard after that.

"No, it was a great pleasure just to come and help me.... and it's helpful to talk about making that viola our prisoner advisor."

Cheryl managed to avoid seeping into her expression and tone of anxiety and discontent.

Cheryl and his party have so far not been in Akira's interest. Nor does it stand. I also understand that Cheryl. That's why I'm replacing the inmate's head with Viola to profit from Cheryl and the others' inmate party, even if that's what Akira intended, there's no way for Cheryl to reject it.

Cheryl can't live if Akira abandons him. I was going to continue desperately to run the party to prevent that. I felt a strong sense of crisis in a situation where that support was likely to be taken away.

Akira looks a little serious.

"Oh, I decided on my own, and I'm going to do you a favor. Cheryl, keep an eye on Viola."

"Watch, is it?

"Oh. Let me know if Viola's trying to do something weird again. It would be easy to notice if you were nearby. Plus, if Cheryl thinks Viola's useless, you can kill her. That's what keeps Viola alive. If you think it's hard for Cheryl to do it herself, tell me why you're killing me. I'll kill him."

"Wow, I get it!

"Hmm? I asked for it"

Akira wondered a little bit about Cheryl, who replied with a lot of temper, but didn't care deeply.

Cheryl was delighted to learn that Akira was not willing to insert or replace Akira's head, and was in the mood to meet Akira's demands and expectations.

Alpha had doubts about Akira's treatment of Viola in a different direction from Cheryl's.

"Akira. Is that really how you treat Viola?

"Huh? You thought Alpha should kill Viola?

Ning's Alpha stops. Akira seems surprised. If Viola's words are true, killing Viola will cost you billions of aurum. Even if the forehead included exaggeration, the prize itself would be multiplied. If it was a complete lie in itself, Alpha would have perceived and conveyed it from the look on Viola's face, etc. That's what Akira thought.

'That's not why, but for Akira, it seemed a lot lighter. That just bothered me a little. As for that sleigh, you were willing to kill anything, and you even imitated getting in that stronghold, right? Compared to that, sort of.'

'... well, once you're willing to kill me, after you shoot me. If you can't threaten me that far, I'll think about it again.'

It did move conveniently, but it wasn't to kill Akira directly (for), but I was somewhat distracted by the fact that I was willing to shoot her again. That's also not why I gave birth to a judgment that brought Viola to life. But Akira had no awareness of it, but another reason existed.

That's a check to see if you can protect yourself in any other way than stacking up dead bodies. If we let our hostile opponents live halfway through it, we will surely come to vengeance later. That's why I kill. Because I'm not strong enough to miss them. That's creeping up behind Akira's brain.

Akira wanted to get other means. Even if that is a desire that goes far beyond itself, it can reach out.

Whether you can reach it or not is another story altogether.

Viola is lying in a hospital bed. I've already been treated, and if my life doesn't tell me otherwise, if I lay down for a few days, I'd be discharged with no sequelae.

Carol, who was sitting in a nearby chair chatting, suddenly changes the subject with a slightly more serious face.

"So Viola. What did you make of this one?

Viola looks strange.

"Suddenly what are you talking about?

"Akira shot me, didn't she?

Carol's tone was mild, but with absolute certainty.

"The more you meet Akira, the more likely it will be. You won't be so dumb. It was Viola who decided to take me and Cheryl to that office. There are other offices in Viola, but there's a hospital nearby, and that's the only place I know where to put the automatic treatment kit, too. The first half of the negotiations with Akira were deliberate, wasn't it? If the muzzle was aimed at his head, he wouldn't have made such a provocation. After reading my actions, I let Akira shoot me. Let me shoot you once I'm willing to kill you, to weaken your hostility to Viola. And under the guise of begging for his life, he made an excuse to intervene in Cheryl's prison party relatively naturally. After weakening Akira's hostility, present both Akira and Cheryl's interests."

Carol laughs deeply.

"In the first place, Akira and Cheryl would have been better and more misguided (sesame seeds) from the beginning, if they were going to pretend to include the ravioli (and horns) and me, right? Or has your arm been falling off lately?

I make a look and laugh that just says Viola is out of heart.

"I think too much. If Carol hadn't helped me, I'd have died like that."

"I think of Viola as a friend, but I still don't believe in shards because of your poor quality."

Carol can also spot as easily as Viola is pretending to be something, but not as far as what she's pretending to be. I don't even pretend like I'm pretending to be, and I don't let that intent spot me. Acting on its authenticity, trying to discern the intentions behind it, it has at some point been driven to what Viola thinks it is, and if you realize it, it has fallen to Nara. Carol has seen many people in that hand near Viola.

Carol smiles a little invincibly.

"Well, I could care less that you got your hands on my customer candidate, that you got shot from that customer candidate, and I'll miss you. You must have been shot, including that."

"I didn't mean to, but if that's what Carol feels like, that's what I'm gonna do."

Viola and Carol had a spare laugh at each other.

There's a knock in the room. Several men come in without even hearing back. And the representative man tells Viola and the others as he shows his ID.

"Viola Earlahunts, huh? He's a man named Endo of the Security Management Division of the Kugamayama City Long-Term Strategy Department. Let me talk to you about your involvement in the recent massive protests."

Endow's men stand blocking the hospital room door. Viola sighed when she saw it.

Carol asks Endo.

"Me, it doesn't matter, can I go home?

"I don't mind. Ask the outsiders to pick it up in the first place. Even though we ask about the situation, there are topics that outsiders can't hear about."

"Yes. Then Viola, I'm going home"

"Oh, you're so flirtatious."

"You didn't know?

After laughing and joking back at the joke, Carol waved gently out of the hospital room. When half of the men who were blocking the door of the hospital room went out with them, they stood straight in front of the door and blocked the hospital room from the outside as well.

The peas stand in front of the viola with sharp eyes. Viola keeps room.

"So, should I go along with that situational inquiry?

"Not necessary. Circumstance hearing is the name in which we come here. Of course (of course) I will prepare the document, but I will process it here."

"Then what are you doing here?"

"I'm here to talk to you about my work."

"You don't have to go out of your way. I'll send you a report later, okay?

"It's a reminder from above. Well, after much more noise than the initial scale, there's been an increase in reports that you've been hospitalized. In addition, information has been received that he even went to the scene to be a constituent of Drancam. I guess you want to check the situation early."

After that talk, the pearl gives a look close to him.

"But, well, somehow, it's something that often caused a commotion of that magnitude from the extent to which a one-time hunter was even paid by a sleigh. That's a big hand."

Viola laughs invincibly.

"That's just the ignition point. A little voyeur around the gun depot, it's like a suspicious fire. I want you to focus on the underneath, with your hands cleared so that the fire is firmly inflamed."

Kugamayama cities basically don't care about force maps of areas close to slum streets in lower sections. There are protests between various organizations large and small around it, and no matter whether there are a large number of dead people in the aftermath of it, they will not intervene to prevent it.

But everything has its limits. The Ezont family and Harriers have exceeded that limit.

He won the war, grew into a dominant giant organization, and began to retain enough money and power to maintain that organization. He had strong enough influence to reach the downtown subdivision and gained enough economic power to allow for the purchase, servicing and operation of man-made weapons. That's not a problem. Successfully build up the management of the organization. That's because in the east controlled by the Unified Enterprise Union, it's commendable.

The problem is that the nature of the organization is not in line with Eastern business ethics. It is against the governance, operation and economic activity of legitimate companies. It operates relatively close to the fence, retaining enough force to allow savage humans living outside the fence to operate man-made weapons. That also affects the security of residents within the fence. It would be nice if that would increase the value of the barrier, but beyond that it would only be a negative effect. In the worst case scenario, residents are considered for relocation to other cities.

Sometimes the organization of the hand is connected to the Founding Fathers. It is the Founding Fathers who shed powerful weapons into those organizations, infiltrating personnel and using them as a force of war at the time of the decision. You don't have to go that far. Trafficking in arms can be a source of funding for the Foundationalists. Simply stirring up the anxiety of residents within the fence works.

Cities have to hit their hands before they do. Crushing the organization in question is easy on the battlefield. There's nothing wrong with that. Send a defense force and it will be enough. It is a force for large-scale monster raids and rare (rare) intercity warfare. Easily (yawning) kick off the lower compartment with a degree of fighting power that sprang out of it.

But it's a matter of cost. Naturally, sending a defense force would cost a lot. It is also to blame for leaving things unattended and making things worse until it is necessary to pay for them.

As a result, cities adopted cheaper means. Crush organizations that are obscure to the city. Naturally, it costs a lot, but if you compare it to the cost of seconding a defense force, it drops several digits. It's cheap enough.

Viola had contracted the work from the city. In other words, he was an external collaborator, hired and operative of the city.

Viola has crushed many other people and organizations before, but among them there was quite a mix of requests from the city. The feat was excellent and highly regarded by the city. If you do poorly, you can be so afraid of that arm from the city.

It should also be noted that only some city officials know that the city side is involved in this disturbance. And it was the strangers who made the request to Drancam.

Naturally, the peas are people on the knowing side. Even that pea heard the report from Viola with deep fear. Because it contained a lot of absurdity.

"... a little off the record, about three of these personnel are missing. You know anything about that?

"Is that a request for an investigation into the matter?

"No, it's a chat"

"Yes. The lower compartment is insecure, unlike the inside of the wall. Didn't you do something stupid and get caught up in some rubbing?

"For example?"

"Right. You said you tried to connect with the city and put your hands on a woman who didn't like it? It's good to dictate and complain about the background of that hand, but don't you think it's not good enough to threaten and complain? Because people like that are easy to add and subtract, they are also more likely to get caught up in unsolicited rubbing. We can also see that the Unified Enterprise Company is budgeting to improve the ethics of hunters. Personality is important, isn't it?

Viola laughs deeply. The peas managed to remain apparently calm.

Cheryl has a serious look in her room. The cause of this is information from the caller, Viola.

"... is that story true?

"I'm not telling you to believe anything else. It's just, you know, I think I did something bad to you, too, right? That's why I gave you this information before Akira did. I apologize for what I meant."

It's a conversation over an information terminal. I don't know the look on their face. But I'm sure he's laughing. He has a seemingly gentle, poor quality smile on his face. Cheryl was so sure.

"Threaten, is it?

"No, I'm not. I told you, didn't I? My apologies. Yeah, just a little more to add, Akira's already finished that sleigh called Aruna. So I don't think that exposing it would greatly damage your mood. Unless Akira realizes it herself or misunderstands that you were hiding it intentionally."

Cheryl imagines the sight of Akira greatly damaging her mood and shivering. It's a sight that day when Akira, who is in a very bad mood, declared herself to kill Arna in front of Cheryl. Besides, Cheryl and the others will not be the target of the murder this time.

Viola's unusual tone of voice pierces Cheryl, who is desperate to contain the upset.

"I just gave up the lead. I think it would be more difficult for you (you) to confess to Akira's mood. Of course (of course), I won't force you. However, if you (you) don't do anything about it, I'll tell Akira. I also have to get in Akira's mood by passing on useful information. You know what I mean? Bye."

"Please wait."

"What could it be?

"... I'll deal with it here. Thank you for your helpful information."

"You're welcome."

Leave a voice that looks like Viola's in a good mood and the call hangs up. Cheryl desperately restrained herself from screaming out of anger at Viola.

Nasha, summoned by Cheryl, enters the base room. Inside the room were three people waiting: Cheryl, Alicia and Elio.

Cheryl and the others had a very serious look on their face, wrapping up a cruel (dull), heavy and pressing atmosphere. Nasha startled (a lot) with the atmosphere and went as far as Cheryl and the others whimsically.

"Um, boss, what's the story?

Cheryl and the others face each other once. And Cheryl gives a very rugged and serious look and asks to assure him.

"I'll ask you straight in. Nasha was the one who tipped Arnab off Akira?

Nasha's expression changed dramatically. It was too eloquent, an expression that I could not feel the need for a response.

The look on Cheryl's face when he sees it turns into something even more rugged and painful. If it's any mistake. That thin hope crumbled. Nasha had a good personality, a serious job, close friends with the rest of the detachment party, and more recently, she had been entrusted with a light entanglement. Cheryl and the others trusted Nasha. And so was the shock.

"Was it true?... Come in!

When Elio gives the signal, several children come into the room. And trying to surround Nasha, it hardens slightly with agitation. They were only told not to let anyone get away with anything that could have greatly damaged Akira's mood when the signal came out. I didn't think that someone was Nasha.

Watch Cheryl and the others bewildered. And when I felt Cheryl and the others' painful condition, I restrained Nasha with a slightly spicy look. Nasha didn't resist either.

Alicia has a sad look on her face when she sees Nasha holding both arms rarely.

"... Cheryl, so, uh... what do you do?

I guess Alicia wants to help Nasha if she can. Cheryl knows how that feels, too. But if we shelter poorly, we may be handled by Akira in unison.

The money Nasha paid when she joined Cheryl and the others in jail was stolen from Akira. I helped Akira escape by spreading information to someone who showed such willingness to kill. At that point, Cheryl will no longer be able to shelter Nasha.

Plus, Cheryl already noticed. That Akira stayed on that spot after she helped herself to kill Arna. Akira wanted to kill Aruna until she stayed on a battlefield where human-type weapons engaged each other. How intentional is the killing? How far is the aftermath? To those who helped Arnah escape, and to those who could not prevent it? Will it reach those who have taken refuge badly? Imagining that, I couldn't do much like defending Nasha.

Cheryl silently retrieved the information terminal. And when I was ready, I threw a call request to Akira.

"It's Cheryl. I need to talk to you. Is it appropriate now?

Urgent air flows through the field. Everyone's gaze is focused on Cheryl. Cheryl apologizes to Akira for their misconduct and explains the situation. In the meantime, Akira was almost silent. There were no surprises, no irritating voices, no gavels, and I kept returning suspicious silence whether I was listening.

Are you listening properly, I can't even confirm anything like that, and Cheryl kept talking in hopes that Akira would calm down, but not because of the grump beyond her limits or because of the indifference that had truncated us. And I managed to finish the explanation.

"... well. Okay. I'm going that way now."

"Okay. Waiting for you."

Akira and I got off the phone. Cheryl exhales out of great tension. Alicia asks worryingly.

"... how was it?

"... Akira's coming this way now"

That's all Cheryl answered. Whether Nasha has any hope of being helped. What Alicia wanted to hear was around there, but I wasn't willing to ask her again for more information after seeing how Cheryl was doing.

Akira enters the room where Cheryl and the others are. Step away from the wall so that the children who stood to surround Nasha would be afraid to wind up.

Nasha had the look on her face that she gave up. Though I think I'm scared, it wasn't enough to create upset. Because I was prepared that it could have been since I dived into Cheryl and the others' cell.

(Sorry. Arna. I'm like this far. Aruna alone is safe)

Nasha smiled sadly as she led Arnah through herself.

Akira stands in front of Nasha.

"Is that Nasha? Let go."

Those who grabbed Nasha's arms, and held her captive, will depart like the others.

"Follow me."

Akira tells Nasha that much and tries to get out of the room. Akira looked back as Nasha, who thought she would be shot to death on this occasion, stopped bewildered.

"If it's better to get dragged out of your arms or feet rarely, then it's better."

Nasha follows Akira in confusion. Akira took Nasha and left the room intact.

Cheryl and the others, who had been placed outside the mosquito net for the removal, could not help but see Akira and the others off. Left without reprimand from Akira, he stood perplexed.

Mizha is angry and distorting her face within the base of Drancam. The cause of this is the caller.

"Viola. You've always been willing to contact me, haven't you?

Viola's tone is too mild for Mizha's anger to seep in.

"Oh, my work didn't meet your expectations? You've almost fulfilled your request, haven't you? Arna is dead. There is also a body, not missing, and there is no possibility that it is actually alive somewhere. The reason he died was because he was caught up in a war between the Ezont family and Harriers. It is not entirely possible that your (your) involvement will be suspected. What's wrong with you?"

Mizha cautions against raising her voice with passion while irritating (needing) the viola in a trance.

"Don't be ridiculous. What are you thinking about letting Katsuya spill information and jump into that place of protest? Katsuya almost died, didn't she? Are you going to turn me against the enemy?

"Oh, that? I have nothing to do with that. It's not my job."

"You think I believe in stories like that?

"I'm not asking you to believe me. But it's true. Besides, what I turn to my enemies is people, organizations, like they've already decided to be ruined. It's a hassle to be resented and avenged. Are you planning to destroy either you or Drunkham around tomorrow?

"I don't."

"Isn't that right? And if you never wanted to get Katsuya involved, you weren't good enough to spin a hunter operation a little further away for a while? Something will happen soon more than you asked me to do your job. I didn't bother to advise you because I didn't think you (you) could predict that much, but is that my fault? Well, I guess it's convenient for Drancam."

When Mizha gets stuck in a painful spot, she slightly distorts her face. If you make that a Viola lapse, it will admit Mizha's incapacity as it is. Reject it for another reason because you don't want to admit it.

"... Katsuya has already been assigned work related to building a front-line base at the site of Kuzhara Street. It is also appreciated by the city of Kugamayama. That's why you can't suddenly assign remote jobs."

"Yes. But that's convenient for you. I don't care what you tell me."

For a little while there will be a silence that peeps at each other's ways out. Then resume the conversation from Viola in a tone that is as deep-rooted and as a step back.

"Well, whatever the circumstances are, it's also painful to remain honestly paid more than you've been so dissatisfied with my work. Can I give it back? Conditional."

"Conditions? Say it."

"I'll have that information circulated to me that day as to why Katsuya knew where Arna was. I will return the information fee in the form of payment. Depending on the content of the information, you can put it on."

Mizha takes a rather surprising attitude towards unexpected content.

"... what are you going to do? You were the one who tipped Katsuya off Aruna's whereabouts?

"Like I said, no. I don't know about that perception, but the only person I've called as an intruder, as a trigger for that protest, is a hunter named Akira. Akira is the only person who gave information about Arna's whereabouts. I'm not flushing it to Katsuya. Even to those around it who could possibly tell that to Katsuya. And despite that, Katsuya broke into the place, and my plans went crazy. As a result, I am being hospitalized after being shot by Akira. This call came from the hospital room."

"Really?"

"If you're coming to see me, you're welcome."

If you doubt it, come and confirm it. Mizha loosened her suspicions about her hospitalization from Viola's words. Dragged by it, Viola also loosens her suspicion that she hasn't flown information to Katsuya to half-heartedness.

There goes Viola further.

"I would never have been the wingman to be hospitalized if I had originally planned to. So I want to know why Katsuya found out where Arnah is, something that drove my plans crazy, too. Of course (of course) I'm going to look into it. But it would be easier for you to find out what's inside Drancam, wouldn't it? It's easier for you to talk to Katsuya directly."

Mizha loosens her suspicions even more to the tone of Viola, who smells personal grievances.

"... are you sure you're not spreading the information to Katsuya?

"I didn't flush it. I also have credibility as an informant. I won't give the wrong information to the person I deal with. My information is correct. So everyone buys information from me, even if they know my reputation. You know that, don't you?

Mizha conceives. Even if Viola may add arbitrary opinions to fragmented information and circulate it, she will not circulate incorrect information. The information itself is accurate.

There is a trap to the right of the divide, which is said to be in danger of injury. And when a man goes to the right without believing in it, surely there is a trap, and he is injured. Believe me, when I go left, there are more dangerous traps and I get hurt. When another person believes and goes to the right and avoids the trap and is relieved, Viola takes away the gain if she goes to the left and laughs.

Manipulate people with the right information. That is also the poor quality of the viola. Mizha knew that, too. Then it is only a fact that at least we have not circulated information on Aruna's whereabouts to Katsuya. That's what I decided.

"Okay. Either way, we'll investigate in Drancam. Pass the result to you as well. That's good, right?

"We have a deal. Helpful. Yeah, I'm already transferring the info fee, so check it out. After we get the results of the investigation. Now, if you'll excuse me."

I can't get through to Viola. When Mizha checked her account, she did already transfer it. I will always get this story. I was a little uncomfortable that Viola had read it out that way, but that was soon flushed into another thought as well.

If it wasn't Viola's fault, how did Katsuya know where Arna was? Mizha immediately opened an investigation, remembering her anger at something that had led Katsuya to her death.
