Rebuild World

232 Median compartment

After talking to Shikarabe and the others, Akira's request for a deduction was to be joined by a new unit of Drancam. As a result of intense (regular) negotiations between Drunkham, Hikar and Cheryl, implementation at weekly intervals has not collapsed, and a thinning process of the number of areas according to troop size has been carried out on the same day.

The accession of Drancam led to Clothawa assuming command of the entire force. Safe and efficient troop action under Crosawa's command was also convenient as Akira. There were successive events in Kugamayama City where powerful monsters emerged from the more eastern wilderness.

The presence of a powerful monster in the wrong place prompted the hunters who were undertaking the compromise to be vigilant. Some declined the request, and those who continued also began to ask the city side for more thoughtful preparation and hazardous rewards. Hikaru was urging Akira to shorten the implementation interval in order to deal with it.

Because of this, Akira became the wingman who used the AF objective cannon as a trump card every time, and knew once again the harshness of the eastern wilderness.

During those days, Akira was meeting Hikaru again at the restaurant on the first floor of Kugamaville.

"Still, this request for a deduction, isn't it pretty long? Big distribution would normally be about a month. I think it's way past that."

"The major distribution is only implemented over time throughout the east, and it's not the same until the implementation period. If there's a lot of demand, it'll be as long as it takes. Especially since a lot of people are coming from afar about that Kuzsuhara City ruin. I'm talking about a lot of high-ranking people. They can't pack those people into cheap rooms without escorts, so they're not transporting enough oversized vehicles for inter-city transportation, and they're packing room reservations for the top customers. You think you're even secretly coming to the executives of the downhill heavy industry?"

"It is. It's amazing."

Hikaru smiled slightly bitterly. The visit of the downhill heavy industry executives is quite a thing for the umbrella governing corporate city, but Akira's reaction has been quite slow and I don't see the surprise I was hoping for. I'm a little sorry I just leaked the information in vain.

"Yes. Awesome. This is pretty good information, isn't it? I accidentally talked to you, but shut up."

"Okay."

Hikaru switches his mind, remembering a mild dissatisfaction inside with the lack of tension.

"So for today's sake, I want Akira on that intercity transport vehicle as an escort. Suddenly, it's tomorrow."

"Tomorrow, you won't be able to do that on a boulder. Elena and the others are adjusting and preparing..."

"Sorry, but only Akira rides because of space limitations on the side of the transport vehicle. So all you have to do is prepare for Akira. If Akira is the only one, I don't think it's a problem to maintain equipment or stockpile ammunition. You're gonna be okay, right?

"Well, if it's just me, it's fine. But it's pretty steep."

"The adjustment on this side was also sudden. I can't tell you the details, but there were a lot of things going on about a powerful monster on the east side who was just coming this way, and someone who was going to board a transport vehicle was going to be sent to the hospital. Still, we have plans for the vehicle, so we can't reschedule tomorrow. No? If you really don't like it, give it up, but if you can, please."

Akira's thoughts flush with a smile and some serious hikaru attitude.

"Okay."

"Thanks! That would really help!

Hikaru laughed very happily and thanked him sincerely.

After Akira went back (to prepare for tomorrow) after hearing more about her future actions, Hikaru was in a good mood to handle the affairs while staying and eating the parfait. Now that Akira's consent has been obtained, we need to hurry and complete the request. We're interrupting a little hard by inserting into the shortage of escort personnel, so we can't make it in time if we don't hurry.

"... All right! We made it! It was too much, but you just have to go through. Yeah."

There is no doubt about Akira's strength, judging from the results of the request for a deduction. Enough can be fought in the more eastern realms. If that Akira plays an active role in escorting inter-city transport vehicles, it will also jump my rating for sending Akira in. Hikaru was loosening his face in anticipation of that future.

"Akira. Good luck. I'm here for you."

He took my request quite lightly. If it looks like this, we're going to be able to get along with each other in the future. I get word from Kibayashi to Hikaru, who is in a good mood for that.

"Yes. It's Hikaru. What is it?

"It's me. I need to talk to you a little bit about Akira being in the escort for the inter-city transport vehicle."

"Is there a problem? Don't worry. Akira took my pleasure, didn't she?

I thought that if I let it go, they would take Akira's message, so did I put in an exploration? Hikaru replied with a slightly proud tone, thinking so. But Kibayashi also returns a pleasant tone.

"We'll do it. Actually, I'm pretty surprised you're gonna make it that far, too. No, it was worth introducing you to Akira."

Hikaru faces a bit of an unexpected reaction.

"Oh, really? Thank you. Sit down."

"It would have described a joint operation with Drancam in a settlement and subsequent request for a compromise as the basis for the credibility aspect of recommending Akira, wouldn't it? Actually, I took that settlement."

"Oh, did you? That helped."

"No, no, more than anything if my job helped. But it's a big deal to bring that up as a basis."

Hikaru had already looked a little surprised through confusion at Kibayashi's attitude, which he praised for a long time.

"Whoa, I'm sorry I got in your way talking about this. Let's get back to it. When I rendezvous with Akira tomorrow, I need you to do something for me."

"What is it"

Hikaru is surprised to hear about it.

"Is that all?

"Yes. That's all. I'm done talking. Let me know if anything happens. Bye."

After the call ran out, Hikaru thought temporarily about what it meant to be asked by Kibayashi. But I couldn't think of a reason to be convinced, and decided that I would just be saying something meaningful, and I stopped (or) worrying about it any more.

Early the next morning, Akira was waiting for Hikaru in front of Kugamaville, the meeting place. It weaves a newly purchased defensive coat and covers a total of four LEO compound guns, including an AF objective gun and a spare minute. Some large rucksacks are packed with large expansion magazines, large capacity energy packs, and more. Both are products that emphasize volume, capacity, etc., over price.

Ammunition is also loaded in large quantities in transport vehicles and is unnecessary because it can be bought on the car if it is no longer sufficient. But Akira wanted to use what she bought at Sizka's store as much as she could. Even if I bought it in a vehicle, there was no difference in quality. Because of the reason why I was told that it was impossible to pick it up, the price was slightly higher in the Sizka store. Having found out about it, I dared to (ah) prioritize the use of the product I bought at Sizka's store. It's a kind of test.

Hikaru, who showed up on time, looks at Akira's luggage and laughs lightly.

"You've got two nights and three days to go, but you're packing a lot."

"Whatever the plan is, it must be a getaway in an inter-city transport vehicle. We need to be prepared."

"Akira rides as a prep for that vehicle defense in the first place. Shall we go then?"

Akira is guided into Kugamaville by the upbeat Hikaru and continues straight inside the fence. Along the way, Hikaru gives me a bracelet type information terminal.

"I put this on for the duration of this request. Care should be taken not to lose or break the median compartment temporary admission permit and the permit to bring in firearms, etc. There's a security system basically similar to the median compartment in the vehicle that Akira boards. If you lose it, contact me immediately without moving. Because when you move poorly and you're treated like a suspicious person, you're in big trouble."

"Okay. This is gonna be okay from the top of the fortified clothes, right?

"It's okay because it's a sturdy one for hunters. It shouldn't mean it can't be attached because of its variable size.... Shall I put it on you? On the neck."

Hikaru smiles deeply and Akira smiles lightly.

"Don't"

"Too bad"

Akira goes further with her bracelet on her left arm. And he showed it to the guards at the exit of the building, and went straight out. Then Hikaru, who was walking in front, looks back in a slightly daunting (exaggerated) motion and laughs joyfully at Akira.

"Akira. Welcome to the median compartment"

Kugamayama city separated inside and out by a huge barrier. Security, economy, order, thick walls separating them, Akira had reached the inside.

Basically the land is in the eastern part of the country where it is surplus, but once the fence has been built, there will be a ceiling on its inner land area. Countless skyscrapers were built to make the most of the limited resources inside the fence. Still, there is no feeling of narrowness, even openness from the calculated landscape. The well-cleaned streets were clean, showing Akira the difference from the lower compartment.

An unmanned car called by Hikaru on an information terminal stops in front of Akira and the others. Transportation in the median compartment. The interior of the car, where there is no such thing as a driver's seat in the first place, was wide for appearance and Akira's luggage was put on without any problems. When Hikaru set his destination after boarding, the car moved quietly with little (mostly) vibration, and still proceeded to the median compartment at considerable speeds.

Akira sits in her seat and looks at the surrounding scenery with interest. Hikaru felt something subtle about the look on that Akira's face and looked a little strange.

"You feel a little clapped out. The sight of the median compartment didn't meet expectations?

"Oh, no, I'm sure it's amazing, but I didn't feel surprised that the boulder median compartment was different."

"Really? When I ask people how they feel about being in the middle section for the first time from the lower section, I get a good percentage of them overwhelmed or impressed, that's what I get."

The sight seen from the place through Cugamaville has a particularly calculated appearance to give the viewer a strong impression. It is also to boast (to) the value of the median compartment to those inside and outside the fence. They guide us to be naturally proud of living there and working there.

Hikaru also values the median compartment highly. And one day I want to reach the upper compartment. That is why we continue our efforts every day. That's why I was willing to ask Akira to be a little more happy about that, whether limited or coming up from the lower section to the middle section, and I was a little sorry that Akira's reaction was largely faint.

"Oh, Akira is a hunter, so maybe she's not too surprised at this level because of the fact that she's accustomed to seeing more amazing architecture in the ruins. No matter how amazing the buildings in the median compartment are, they are built with modern technology. Is it inferior compared to old world-made buildings?"

"Really? Hmm. Maybe."

So I recall what Hikaru told Kibayashi yesterday. And I think it's just fine, and I smile and teach Akira a little bit.

"Still a lot different from the outside of the wall, huh? It's not just the exterior. Oh, my God! In the middle compartment! When people are killed on the street, the killer is caught, thoroughly investigated for motives, put on trial, and jailed on charges! -You must be great!

"Whoa! That's awesome! The boulders are different inside the walls!

Akira and Hikaru are both surprised. But there was a big difference in the reason. Akira was honestly strongly surprised by the security of the median compartment, and Hikaru was surprised that Akira was so surprised. The unconsciously cultivated perception of security, the difference was manifested as it were.

Hikaru slightly suspected that Akira might have surprised me with a great deal. But as soon as his own abilities showed that Akira's reaction was pure surprise. In addition, it reminds me of Kibayashi's attitude yesterday, which gradually solicits anxiety.

There were two things Kibayashi asked me to do. One was to tell Akira about the security of the median compartment, which I did earlier. And the other thing, when I heard it yesterday, Hikaru carefully mouths what he didn't think was a big deal.

"... Speaking of which, how many people has Akira killed so far? I know you're being rude, but I'd like to know how many you have in relation to a little permit application."

Shake your head sideways after Akira thinks a little.

"Sorry. I don't know. I'm not counting..."

"It's not like I want to know the details. I don't care how many digits or anything, it's a rough way to count."

"Then..., three digits...? Must not have reached four digits on the boulder... Maybe."

"Oh, yeah.... Is that a direct number? Or including indirect numbers?

If you engage with another group as the leader of the group, there is no choice but to increase the number of digits of the dead as the person who gave the direct or (some) indirect instruction. Hikaru thought so and added the question. But Akira took a different view.

"I hit the bullet, but it's only a few days later that I'm dead, or I don't know the exact life or death because I didn't confirm my death, and that kind of goes into the indirect?

"That includes those who are direct"

"That would be a direct number."

"Oh, yeah."

In response to Akira's attitude about what the meal was a few days ago and her degree of sensation, Hikaru kept a hard smile with his ability. The information terminal is then operated to stop the car.

"Sorry, I forgot to report to Kibayashi. I'm gonna take my seat off for a second and talk to you, so wait."

"Okay."

Hikaru returns his affection to Akira, who replied lightly, and leaves the car. I unconsciously try to distance myself from the car, from Akira, without even realizing that I'm getting faster and faster. He then stopped his legs far enough away, repeatedly took a deep breath to reduce his palpitations and regain as much calm as he could before contacting Kibayashi.

"Whoa. What's up?

Hikaru accidentally roughs up his voice at Kibayashi's distracted voice.

"What's wrong with you!? What the hell is that?

"You don't know they screamed. Explain it properly."

Kibayashi encouraged a detailed explanation with a laugh inside that he was as expected. And when I finished listening, I listened back like I was in love.

"So, what's the problem?

"What's the problem, is it a big problem!? How can someone who killed all that get into the middle section (yes)!?

"I wonder why, because you filed that application. What are you talking about?"

"Whatever you think you will get kicked!? No way, did you do something!? Did you turn your hand so that the application would go through!?

"I didn't do anything. Well, if Akira were asked if she was a dangerous person, I'd say so, too. Even I hesitate to put Akira in the middle compartment. I admire your bargaining skills enough to get that dangerous figure into the middle compartment. And your decision to execute it because you can is mind-boggling. I told you yesterday, didn't I? I thought we'd do it."

Kibayashi continues in a pleasant voice to the hikaru who is out of line.

"It seems doubtful that the application has passed, but the final permit will be determined by a comprehensive decision based on various elements. Even the person Akira killed three digits from, the killing is a kill outside the wall. The point is killing in the wilderness. I guess I didn't put that much emphasis on it up there. Because if even the robbers had led them to kill them by Darkless Arrow Cod, they wouldn't give permission on the boulder. Ning will hang the bounty. Killing in the wilderness presupposes, considering the insecurity outside the walls, and finally adding the rank of 50 hunter, I guess I decided that it was a range of self-defense emergency evacuations."

"Well, I still can't do it with boulders..."

"I do? You did your best to bury that impossibility. Settlement with Drancam via the Hunter's Office. Working with Drancam on that assumption. Based on that, you were responsible for assuring Akira's safety as a professional hunter who would follow the contract regardless of her personality. No, it's amazing. I can't do it. Akira is the kind of guy who rides into a big prison party in Slam Street all by herself to kill a sleigh who stole money from herself. It seems like you've been killing a lot of fancy people since then, so there's no way the killing can fit in double digits."

"Oh, that didn't just get caught up in a slum city war..."

"Hmm? Wasn't it on the record until such detail? Was that thing all you had on the upper side because of the human weapon entanglement? Did you even get caught up in the browsing restrictions? Well, that happens. Oh, keep your mouth shut."

Hikaru's face gradually turns blue.

"If Akira reveals anything, naturally you will also be responsible. It won't be your neck, but you won't be able to live inside the wall. No, you think you're ready for that, too? But sometimes, in case you want me to confirm that, I said that yesterday."

We should have thoroughly explored what Kibayashi meant when he said something meaningful. Hikaru regretted it even more now.

"Well, it's just a good story if Akira doesn't cause any problems. It's your job not to cause problems. Be careful, all right? If you're mildly told you're gonna bust me with a knoll on the inside of the wall or something, it's like seriously killing me back for it. Even though I'm a Hunter Rank 50 and have a strong recommendation from city officials, it's the kind of guy who only goes down with temporary access permits. I need you to fully understand what that means."

He's a hunter with city executives, so he's pretty serious. That unconscious perception disappears from the hikaru.

"You could achieve this impotent recklessness, maybe. Good luck. I'm counting on the results. Bye."

Hikaru stood still for a while after Kibayashi's call ran out. Returning to me, I gradually realized that I was being pushed to recklessness by Kibayashi's preference, and held my head in dealing with it.

The bet, which should have been a low risk high return on recommending Akira to Intercity Transport Vehicle Defense personnel, had morphed into a high risk high return bet that would shape your life. But I can't undo it now. Hikaru's birth will be over if he makes a rampage that would undo it on the earthen, after interrupting quite forcefully the work that involves even the convenience of other cities. If you do poorly, they take that responsibility and kick you out of the wall.

Above all, I can't really tell Akira that I'm calling it off now. For hunters, inter-city transport jobs become gold and come with foil. How much discomfort would you buy if the side that forced you to do so unilaterally revoked it? What will happen as a result? I didn't even want to think about it.

"Ya 'll have to do it!

My progress is already piled up as a stake. Hikaru, then, survives this predicament and is ready to grasp the glory. He slaps his cheek with both hands and blows his fright out of his expression.

"I'll do it!

Hikaru proclaimed to herself to do so, raising her mind and laughing forcefully.

The boarding areas for inter-city transport vehicles built within the walls are of a harbor-like structure. To accommodate huge vehicles like freighters. Large cars carry countless containers to and from transport vehicles and warehouses. The tire diameter of that large car is superior to Akira's height. Transport vehicles were huge enough to mistake that large car for a small one, driving the proximity of those who saw it in the distance crazy.

Akira was overwhelmed when she saw the huge body up close. I had seen it in the wilderness, but it was all from afar, and when I saw it nearby, it was as if the power was different.

"I guess this also means a vehicle for the wilderness, but it's awesome. If such a big one passes through the wilderness, the monsters will stop by. We're going to need an advance break. I'll be there, then."

"Yeah. Good luck with that. I'm here for you."

Hikaru laughed and dropped off Akira, who entered the car through Tallap. But when Akira disappeared completely into the car, her smile distorted into distress. And he kept bothering until too much time had passed before the tarrap was removed, and ran out towards the inside of the car after getting lost.

Akira had gone into her assigned room for a rest. Private rooms for employees are also fairly spacious and well equipped to suit the customer base of inter-city transport vehicles where the entire vehicle area is treated as a median compartment. The bath is spacious enough. The wall is equipped with a large display device compatible with stereoscopic view, which gives the room an open feeling by reflecting the outside sight. If I offered money, I could stay in a more luxurious room with even more facilities for hunters, but I wondered if I could put a note (or two) on the reward there.

Akira's job is to guard the outside of the vehicle. When the time comes on a shift basis, it will follow the instructions to place it. It's already built into the vehicle's security system, so it's free time until they call it. When I left the room to take a look at the dining room and shops in the car at the same time as my spare time, Hikaru, who was running for Akira's room, had just arrived.

Hikaru stands in front of Akira with his breath constant.

"A, Akira, where are you going......, are you going?

"I was just going to go check out the dining room and the store..."

"Oh yeah...... And don't you dare go back to your room and get it? Oh, please."

Hikaru tries to push Akira back into her room with some weak force as she breathes. Akira went back to her room, a little confused, but very manly.

Ask Hikaru, who is breathing in a slightly nervous way, how Akira seems a little strange.

"It's time to leave, but are you okay? Hikaru will stay in the city and support me over communications, won't he?

"I was planning on doing that, but it's a change. I'm coming with you. Because it is more efficient to support it directly on the side (soba). I can't do it in a boulder fight, but I think it's better to stay close. We'll be together for three days. Be nice."

"Okay. Suitable. Then I'll come out a little..."

"Wait!

Akira feels a little pulled by the look of Hikaru, who desperately stops somewhere in a hurry. Hikaru managed to laugh lovingly.

"Akira, stay in your room. Please, tell me if you need me outside. I'll do what I can. So don't let Akira leave the room."

"... why don't you want me out of the room so badly?

Akira also began to get surprised (a lot) by the boulder. Hikaru desperately thinks of excuses in the guise of calm.

"Akira's median zoning clearance, but I was forced to take it in time for this request. That's why there is a delay in being informed and there is a risk that the guard will mistake you for a suspicious person if you do poorly. That's why I don't want you to leave the room as much as possible. Sorry, that's my problem."

"Really? Oh, that's why you're in a hurry."

"Oh, yeah. I'm so sorry."

"Then you have no choice. Okay, I'll be in my room as soon as I can."

"Thanks. Sorry about that."

Akira turns her gaze towards Alpha next to Hikaru, who exhales in relief (mostly).

"Alpha"

"I'm not throwing up, but it must be an excuse."

'I guess. Well, I guess Hikaru has some kind of situation, too. He said he was going to talk to Kibayashi, and he came back out of his seat, and then something went a little weird, and maybe Kibayashi told him something.'

It is an instruction from the client, and there is nothing strange about it, so there is no need to force it to go against it or pursue a reason. Akira decided so and stopped caring.

In order not to cause any noise to Akira, the opportunity to engage with others is eliminated as much as possible. That Hikaru operation was going well so far.

The view outside shown on the wall moves out. Inter-city transport vehicles are starting to move. A huge barrier moves out that even its inter-city transport vehicles look smaller. It moved parts of it left and right with great force, paving the way to the wilderness. As the vehicle went through there and out into the wilderness, it continued to increase its speed towards its destination. Akira's request for intercity transport vehicle defense began.
