Rebuild World

269 Negotiations within the Wall

Hikaru had had a peaceful day after the matter of a request for escort for an intercity transport vehicle had been cleared up. Sometimes the arrogance attached to the young and competent, the ascending orientation of excellence, was sufficiently calmed by the experience in front of the place of death gained from his involvement with a person named Akira, ripening his daily work with results that were easy and beyond the point.

That had raised Hikaru's rating slightly, and it had been thought by those around him that any day would be accomplished. Yo (more) that's to the extent that in a decade or so you might be in a key position in the city. It's slower than it used to be when you were trying to get up there with the fastest and shortest flying distance.

Still, Hikaru was satisfied with those days. Because we think that if we run beyond ourselves, we will have more opportunities to engage with people like Akira. I can't imitate it like a kibbutz. I can't imitate (or control) people who have more than degrees of combat ability and proportionally biased personalities, or worse yet, people who are insane, who are happy to be involved. With that in mind, I spent every day peacefully and steadily trying to build up a little bit of accomplishment that suited my length.

During those days, Hikaru was suddenly called out that Inabe had a job. While I was surprised (a lot) by the sudden nomination of Hikaru in the past, I was pleased that the city's executives recognized me for my strength. But now I couldn't afford to see the face of acknowledged joy, and I was freaked out what it was for.

Hikaru enters Inabe's office with no disrespect. Inabe, who was then sitting on the couch, cut up a story with his men and urged Hikaru to take his seat by hand.

"Sit down."

Hikaru sits naughty on the couch across the street from him recommended. Inabe then urged his men to leave the room with a gaze. My men obeyed in silence and left in a gracious manner.

Hikaru's face is slightly tense. I was urged with my hands and my words, and the others were instructed with gaze and silence. If you simply capture the difference in treatment, you will have been treated more favourably than others by your manager. I can also rejoice that I am in a position to be treated as such. But Hikaru's genius treated the favor as an unpleasant feeling.

"... Inave Zone Manager. Well, we talked about me having a job, but what the hell is it like... As a matter of fact, we now have a number of projects in the Wide Area Management Department…, if we have more projects, we will have an impact on existing work…"

I don't know what kind of job Inabe tells me, but I don't want to do it. Hikaru tried to convey the contents as gently as possible.

Inabe answers Hikaru's insides without changing his facial expressions (shards).

"No problem. Forget all the projects you currently have. They are carried out responsibly by others. Of course (of course), I will adjust that here. Don't worry about it."

"Oh, really..."

"Read this dossier before we get into specifics. Thirty minutes."

"Yes, sir"

Hikaru takes the table material. If the material is normal, it can only be viewed on information terminals, etc., but it was prepared on paper (on purpose).

"Do you need an explanation for being paper material?

"Yes, no"

"Right. Then let's ask the other way around. Why do you think these materials are on paper?

That's what Inabe said, pointing a serious gaze at Hikaru. If this is properly deceived or recirculated, it becomes necessary to take very tough action. It's not interrogation, but it's close. Inabe's gaze was so eloquent.

Hikaru answers the question in a cold sweat.

"… outside the browsing restricted features of Kugamayama cities, beyond merely being printed material. Perhaps these materials contain content that may not otherwise be viewable under my authority."

"As far as it goes. Anything else?

"It is disconnected from the data-sharing system at the time of printing. Thus, the city's system does not guarantee the legitimacy of the description. For me, the only thing that guarantees the contents of the material is that the provider is Inave's manager."

"As far as it goes. Anything else?

Inabe stared at Hikaru, saying it would still be there. Continue so that Hikaru confesses.

"… even if this material is leaked, it is already in a state where it can be altered (or altered), so it is weak to use it as evidence in executive meetings. In addition, there are concerns which deliberately describe partially false information. Perhaps in case this material flows to hostile factions…"

Inabe nodded with a serious face.

"If that's all you know, it's enough. Let's praise you for being really good and above all else. Okay, read it. False descriptions can only be noticed as soon as you know exactly what the material is. Ask me a question each time you find me. There's some information I don't even want to put on paper."

Hikaru, who realized there was no escape, reached out to the dossier ready.

The contents of the dossier were details of the situation in Akira and Chloe, as well as what had happened between Lyons Tail and the city of Kugamayama. that Akira became the prize neck of 50 billion orum and even received monster certification. that Chloe is under house arrest within the fence as an urban raider. And it was stated that Udajima was obstructing the early cleanup of the situation by attempting to connect with Lyons Tail when the city's executive meeting held the meetings to deal with them.

Hikaru finished grasping the contents in ten minutes. The remaining twenty minutes were question-and-answer on the content from Inave to make sure he was fully aware of the content.

After confirmation, Inabe nodded satisfactorily.

"It's appropriate. Okay, let's get down to business. I'll give you a special assignment."

I do not receive Hikaru's prayer to be different, and what comes to mind when I read the dossier is told.

"It's about negotiating with Akira. Do everything you can to make this matter easier. Apply for as many budgets and powers as you need to carry out. I'll do everything I can here."

"Ma, wait!

"No."

Inabe shook Hikaru's neck sideways, turning down Hikaru's desperate appeal without even hearing the content. And I will explain to you to crush Hikaru's request.

Negotiators must be at least acquainted in order (to) negotiate with Akira, who would be very vigilant at the prize neck. It is also desirable that Akira should negotiate beneficially in the past in order to reduce the opponent's vigilance. If you are not as familiar with the personality Akira as you can be, you must be at least experienced in the treatment of Akira because it can unnecessarily irritate the person and aggravate the situation.

There are three persons in question that Inave will know about. Inabe herself. Kibayashi. And it's Hikaru. But Inabe must devote herself to de-certifying Akira's monster at the city's executive meeting. The obstruction of Udajima is imperative, and there is no time to meet Akira directly during the confrontation. Kibayashi is currently working as a Hunter's Office employee, and Inave's authority is in a difficult (difficult) state. Additionally, even if instructions can be given, there is a high risk of directing them from their own vices to the biased results of kibayashi preference, which is not suitable for the person who gives them the special task of making things easier.

The person in charge thus becomes hical with the erasure method, and there is no substitute. Hikaru, so explained by Inabe, was crushed before he spoke of the suggestion that he should take charge of the likes of Inabe and Kibayashi, not dwarfs like himself.

"This is why I chose you as the person in charge of this case. If there's something wrong with the description, let's hear it."

Hikaru thought desperately, rebuffed what had been explained, and searched roughly to remove himself from charge. But the total mobilization of his own talent did not reveal any valid deficiencies, and he had to return the silence.

There goes Inabe further.

"I understand you don't feel comfortable, but to motivate you, let me tell you that we don't have much later."

"... us, is it?

Hikaru looked surprised unexpectedly. You have no aftermath. If you refuse a special order from Inabe, you will be seen as involved in the retreat. [M] But when we, or Inabe, were also involved, Hikaru could not read our intentions.

Even if Akira raids the city to kill Chloe, she will only be eliminated by the defense. Even if there is a little damage on the urban side there, it will not be a matter of shaking Inabe's progression and retreat, which is heavily related to the rights of the managed compartments of Tuvaki. Hikaru thought so, and had a surprising face on Inabe's advice.

"That's right. It's us. If a hunter causes significant damage to a city, the person who caused it will always be held accountable. Against a variety of factors that led to the occurrence of the situation. That includes the responsibility of whoever gave that hunter that much power."

"I understand that..."

"Some of the material you've viewed also describes Akira's combat capabilities, but there is an error in the content. Precisely, his conjecture of future combat capabilities is remarkably sweet. I assume you consider Akira's combat capability based on requests for escorts for intercity transport vehicles. In that perception, it's very creepy (first)."

"... and say?

"There's a very good chance he'll get front-line gear within close range. Hunter Rank 100."

Hikaru's face is full of surprises. The face of Inave is also very distorted.

"He achieves all that with about 50 ranks of equipment. What would happen if such a person attacked the city after acquiring equipment equal to a rank of 100? You can imagine that too."

"Can't you stop me from getting that gear?

"It is extremely difficult to work against the source. That gear is a reward for Akira from downhill heavy industry. Doing bad things can be hostile to downhill heavy industry. And it was me and you who provided him with the means to get it."

Hikaru complains. And on top of the unexpectedly large scale of the story, and a huge lack of calm in the fact that I am caught up in it without a translation, I unwittingly make a screaming noise towards Inave.

"Duh, what do you mean?!?

"I teach, but it's something that can't even be put out on paper because it involves downhill heavy industry. So I'll tell you this verbally, but you should also keep an eye on this information."

Akira had long sought to obtain strong equipment that exceeded the restrictions on use imposed by her own Hunter Rank, and to reward requests received through Kibayashi and Inabe for their help in procuring it. After taking advantage of Hikaru's request for an intercity transport vehicle escort, he was halfway successful in procuring the vehicle. Later, we had to wait for the equipment to arrive, but transportation had been stopped because of the wide area distribution restrictions implemented by downhill heavy industry.

But downhill heavy industry partially lifted that restriction. Transportation resumed and it was only a matter of time before Akira got its gear.

If he cooperated in procuring powerful equipment for a good and ethical hunter, but that hunter became hostile to the city due to unexpected circumstances, Inabe would also be somewhat held accountable, but it would not be fatal to shake that position.

Except for those who have significant personality problems. You will be held heavily accountable. Hikaru in particular twisted Akira quite forcefully into his request to escort an intercity transport vehicle. If even the city's executives jeopardize that position, they just disappear in the aftermath, such as the status of officials. No wonder he was banished from Kugamayama City.

Hikaru trembles when he hears those explanations. Inabe understood the tremor as evidence that the other person had accurately perceived the situation.

"Let's say it again. We have no future. We have to calm this down. I don't give detailed instructions. Show me your full ability to be praised by Kibayashi and move on to resolving things. I'll give you the connection code to my secret line. Let me know if you need anything. That's it. Move it now."

Even though Inabe told me so, Hikaru couldn't move and couldn't respond to me.

"... well, the shock would be huge too. I don't mind sitting there for a while until I calm down."

When Inabe stood off the couch, saying so, he returned to his executive seat and recalled his men. The men who came into the room looked a little surprised (kegged) to see Hikaru as he sat down, but when they saw Inabe gently shook his neck sideways saying he didn't have to worry about Hikaru, he returned to duty without worrying about Hikaru.

Then, temporarily, Hikaru stood up half-hearted and slowly withdrew with a fluttering foothold.

Even as he stepped out of the room and heard the door closing behind him, Hikaru stood still for a while. But when the head that was being pushed away by the situation gradually regained its calm, he remembered his anger at the situation as it was, dared (ah) to accept it, and willingly burned it as a fuel to burn his mind. Then he grips his hands, raises his face, and raises his voice like it's reopened.

"... I get it. Let's do it!

If there is no way out, we have to move on. It doesn't suit me sexually as I was trembling. Until we push on. I tell myself so, and laugh in a willing manner to inspire myself. Hikaru decided to be ready again in order to win (to) a bet that only had a high risk high return, a big win or a big loss, and that he could no longer get off at his will.

Akira, the bounty neck, lurked in the surrounding wilderness like a few days' drive from Kugamayama City. Thanks to Carol's camper, we have enough beds, plenty of ammunition, and food to keep for a few weeks or so. I had grown up trying to hide until some progress had been made in things.

So Kibayashi contacted me on a secret line and told me that Akira had previously defeated the Mechanized Soldier Bee, and that he had screwed it into a generic crusade request. In fact, it's like working with Lattice to take them down, but Chloe denied involvement (to) put herself on the victim's side, and on record, Akira was the only one who was supposed to take them down.

The destruction reward was 50 million aurum. big money, but Akira had a subtle look on her face.

Kibayashi detects Akira from the tone of his opponent.

"What, are you dissatisfied with your forehead? That's a bounty neck for a bounty of 50 billion aurum. Isn't that enough change?

"No, it's not like that. Look, there would have been a bounty neck called Tankrantula before, wouldn't there? His prize money was 800 million aurum. I was a little bit more resistant to digits than that tank crunch, but I was wondering if the reward was 50 million aurum."

"That's right. The amount of the prize neck is determined not by the strength of the opponent, but by how much you want him to die. You can't pay a high crusade to someone who usually flies over the sky and doesn't negatively affect the distribution route on the ground."

"Hmm. Is that what you mean? But hey... you were so strong..."

Kibayashi continues to supplement the rationale with unconvincing Akira.

"Give it up, and in the first place, you can't afford to take down that big hand in this area."

Assuming a mechanized soldier bee crusade is paid a fair share, there is a risk that a strong enough hunter will try to take out (deliberately) the monster above. If it is repeated, any monsters in the airspace will roam near the ground (yes), causing a fatal deterioration in peripheral danger. The city groups in the surrounding area, which pay for the destruction, are adjusting their crusade costs to prevent it.

With those conveniences too, if you want to defeat the mechanized soldier bee and make a profit, you need to go more east and defeat it. Similarly, even defeating a monster of the same magnitude tends to have higher destruction rewards in the eastern region. This was also enforced in order to gradually move the area of activity of competent hunters eastward, all of them to reach the front-line areas.

Because of that, when you become as big as that bee, the wreckage that you defeated also has a lot of value. It was Akira who defeated it, so its ownership is inherently in Akira. However, they had already been seen to have thrown away, so they had been taken away by other hunters who did not know the circumstances.

Kibayashi will continue to supplement Akira, convinced by the explanation of the amount of the reward.

"So with a 500 billion aurum prize hanging on you, it doesn't mean you're that strong. No, you think I'm that strong? I mean what the rest of them think. The amount of prize money that can be hung on humans, not monsters, also has a huge impact on the dignity, sanctions, resentment, the difficulty of spotting them because they're hiding, and parts that have nothing to do with the actual combat capabilities of those opponents. Because they are the same person, some people think that they can handle it if they punch the alarm gap. Be careful."

He said, "I know."

"Okay. I'll call you if I need anything else. Bye."

Carol looks a little worried about Akira after she finishes her conversation with Kibayashi.

"What am I supposed to say, but can you trust that kibbutz?

"Maybe. It means a match of interest. He doesn't mind if I die, but he wants me to die as flashy as possible when he dies, and he works hard for his hobby (for), not for money or organization. In that sense, I think it's okay"

"Well, if Akira says so, I'm not the mess."

I thought it was akira-like thinking in a way, and Carol had a fun bitter smile.

"Still, you're pretty calm about Akira being a 50-billion-orum prize neck. Why are you so spared?

"I'm just reopening it. It doesn't make things any better now that you're in a hurry."

"Hmm."

Though he didn't normally think so, Carol didn't worry about it much. Akira laughs lightly at that Carol.

"And thanks to Carol, Nojuku is spared. He's a camper in the wilderness, so he's got a bath, a bed, and he's better equipped than my house. Eat well there and sleep well enough to calm down."

Laughs as Carol invites when she hears that.

"Really? But if you can fall asleep eating, aren't you missing one element? I can offer you the rest, right?

"I'm sorry. It's more about eating than it is about colour."

"There's only two men and women in a critical situation, so why don't we just flow there into a pattern of predetermined?

"It's not a crisis situation, and I'm not going to make it a crisis situation, so it's not going to be a pattern."

"No, you're still stuck."

Carol just said it because she didn't want to, and even if she refused the invitation, she just gave it back with a slightly daunting (exaggerated) smile.

As for Akira, I thought she was just doing what she always did.

Only Alpha observed and remembered his concerns more carefully than usual.

Within the walls of the city of Kugamayama, near the boundary between the median and upper sections, Chloe, temporarily released from house arrest, was heading with Udajima towards the area under the control of downhill heavy industry. I've already joined the Lattices, and they're holding back behind Chloe.

Udajima, who Chloe asked me to fix, is intensifying her nervousness.

"Please don't be rude. I know you're going to negotiate as a Lyons Taylor, but if there's anything there, I brokered it, and I'm ruined."

Chloe returns her elegant spare smile.

"If nothing happens to Ning, it will be over for me and you. If the status quo continues to be ruined, this negotiation is pointless if we don't ask for something further, right?

"That's not what I meant!

Chloe gently shakes her neck sideways toward Udajima, who accidentally vandalized her voice.

"Quiet. It's time for the management area of downhill heavy industry. The identity of a Kugamayama city does not work. Don't be rude."

Udajima shut up while distorting her face and causing her to cramp.

Arriving at the boundary of the management area of downhill heavy industry, Chloe and the others were first examined by city guards. And I broke up here with Udajima, a guide on the Kugamayama city side. In other words, Chloe and the others' responsibility to protect shifted to the downhill heavy industry side at this point.

Chloe also heightens tension on boulders (that's right). This is the area of downhill heavy industry management. In addition to the fact that the opponents are the five largest companies, the extreme story is that even if Sakashita Heavy Industries kills Chloe and the others there, if they answer that no such person has come to Lyons Tail, that's where they go. Even though I knew there was no reason to kill myself on the side of the downhill heavy industry, I couldn't hide the tension.

Never be rude. Once again, it was replaced by Udajima, who stabbed the nail, and the staff of the downhill heavy industry showed up to guide him.

"Master Chloe, will you sit down? I'll show you. Please come this way."

Chloe and the others will continue in the back with guidance from the staff. All security personnel in the facility are on the downhill heavy industry side, and interchangeable security devices and the like are also replaced by downhill heavy industry. As a result, there was somewhere heterogeneous air in the vicinity, as if in the back of the ruins still in operation. And we arrive in front of a room.

"This way. Go ahead."

That's what I said, carefully lowering my head. I leave the guide's staff in the aisle, and Chloe and the others go inside. Inside was Chloe's negotiator man and his escort.

Once again, Chloe stood in front of the man who welcomed herself while sitting in his seat and thanked him with a corresponding (fuzzy) smile as Lawrence, the founder family of Lyons Tail.

"My name is Chloe Leverant Lawrence. Thank you for your time."

"Sugadome. I'm busy too. I expect enough time for you to negotiate beneficially."

"Of course I'll sit down."

Chloe had come to the scene with all her spirit to respond without hesitation (to) to Sugadome and Harmers, the directors of Sakashita Heavy Industries and their escorts, those who had no victory in power or force.

Shiloh has a disgruntled face in his den.

"... Damn, even waiting times don't make me stupid"

Always keep in a state where you can contact them, as communication is put in around the specified time. Shiloh, who had been instructed to do so by Sugadome, could not even go outside to investigate, and had made him feel like a waste of time and to be in a hurry.

The apparent reason Chloe wanted a meeting with Sugadome was an apology for the noise she caused at the ruins of Mihazono Street. Though in front of the hunter's office, the intrusion is an event in the ruins, and the extent to which it is treated as a problem depends on the circumstances. Chloe pleaded with Sugadome for that interpretation and discussion of the terms of exchange in lieu of an apology, and went through it with the mediation of Udajima.

And explain the situation again in front of Sugadome. First, tell Olivia how valuable, important and dangerous her card is. On top of that, I will explain the circumstances that were unavoidable.

One hunter accidentally partially possessed the card, and he negotiated the assignment in jeopardy of the situation, but the hunter refused the assignment even though he had sufficient remuneration available. And in order to prevent the spread of dangerous artifacts, we had no choice but to use force in the sense of threat. Still, hunters fought because of their refusal to transfer. I understood that the location was in front of the hunter's office, but the other hunter's will was too high, so he had to stop (or fight) because he wouldn't be bothered.

He spoke of them in a very sorry manner and complained that there was nothing he could do to understand them.

"There will be no need for explanations or anything else about how much negative the spread of dangerous artifacts can have in the east. Sakashita Heavy Industries continues to negotiate similar to many hunters (for safety in the east). And there must have been many instances where negotiations have broken down and we have been forced to seize artifacts by force, unwillingly. I would like you to understand that the difference is that I did the same thing."

"Let's understand. But to that extent, a meeting with me would be unnecessary. I hope there is no problem with the negotiators of both companies. I don't think you and I are going to take our time apart."

Sugadome tells me he's wasted time in the dark, and Chloe continues the conversation as he heightens his inner tension.

"First of all, please understand that you feel so funny and responsible for your apology. And the Hunter Office is the umbrella organization of the Unified Enterprise Company, an organization that is in line with the intentions of the five largest companies. Therefore, if it is a noise in front of the hunter's office at the site of Mihazono Street, we have decided that it is reasonable to bow your head to the downhill heavy worker. And I, too, am of the Lawrence clan in the bend shape. You need to choose someone to bow your head to. If you bow your head to them, it will hurt the credibility of our company. Considering them, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we have had the precious time of Sugadome."

So Chloe takes out the white card and presents it.

"And from here on out, it's the real deal. This is the card for you to sit on. As an apology for this incident, I have the will to give you this card."

The expression of Lattice and Pamela, who were holding back behind Chloe, was stunned and distorted. It can't be what the Lattices think, like letting go of Olivia's card. I almost accidentally shouted a halt to the Lord, but there I suppressed him with my presence in front of Sugadome and my loyalty to the Lord.

"Still, given the value of this card, it cannot be transferred unconditionally to boulders. On what terms? That negotiation will be at your disposal for this main purpose. We have determined that Sugadome's time is sufficient. How about that?

Chloe smiles firmly as she seeps tension in her face while holding the white card to make it look like Sugadome.

Silence flows. Chloe maintained her smile as she endured that silence. Let the cold sweat pass on to your cheeks and keep waiting for Sugadome's response. Chloe's nervousness had also passed on to the Lattices, making their squire's face slightly stronger.

And Sugadome answers without changing his attitude.

"As far as it goes. Let's understand that you've decided that you're enough to let me use my time."

Chloe breathes relief (mostly) and bows her head.

"Thank you. I'll sit down. I'd like to start by presenting my terms."

"No, that's not necessary."

In response, Chloe makes an unexpected surprise face. Olivia's card is not something that can be passed unconditionally to a boulder. I was surprised (a lot) that Sugadome would know about it, and even though I thought it was a little disrespectful, I put it in my mouth.

"... With all due respect, I was wondering if the unconditional transfer was somewhat (isa) or greedy, even if it meant something apologetic. Considering the value of this artifact, I believe it is sufficient to apologize at a time of willingness to transfer."

"I understand that"

"So why?

Sugadome tells him without changing his attitude towards Chloe, who is increasingly perplexed.

"Only willingness to transfer is sufficient as an apology. You don't have to let go of that card. Take it with you."

Chloe and the others, stunned, accidentally put it on their faces. As a customer, I can negotiate with certain security for the existence of the old world. I don't think the downhill heavy worker understands its value. Even so, I didn't expect shards to be said not to be needed.

When Chloe hears an impossible response, she unconsciously tries to match the twitch, exploring their intentions from her own experience. Then I guess it's a shake to get the card under favorable conditions, and I make a statement based on that inference.

"Is it appropriate? The value of this card should be fully understandable in the recent noise at the ruins of Mihazono Street, the battle involving numerous people-type weapons and even the ruins' defensive weapons. It's the relic that produces all that fighting power. What if it doesn't become the control of downhill heavyworkers here and flows to Foundationalists and such at a later date?

You should want it even in the name of preventing it. I don't need it, it can't be. Chloe decided so and tried to shake it back. At least Chloe herself was going to.

But Sugadome still answers lightly, without breaking his attitude, without changing his tone, without making a big deal out of it.

Then I'll kill you.

Chloe solidified.
