Durand’s expression turned grave. Many of his past opponents had been played like puppets until the very end, but Yi Beidou was clearly an exception.

Yi Beidou’s guess wasn’t far from the truth. Durand didn’t truly possess the power to influence reality. If Yi Beidou had cut his arm a moment ago, Durand could have used his "Retrospect" power to heal the wound, but the spilled blood wouldn’t have vanished into thin air. Aided by both the Demon Flame and the Jade Power, Yi Beidou successfully broke through the blockade of Durand’s subtle force and took a single step forward.

Just as he prepared to surge toward Durand, Durand pulled a hand from his pocket. Yi Beidou could now clearly see the object clutched in his palm.

It was an exquisite Pocket Watch.

At that very moment, the Pocket Watch was trembling slightly, releasing a dazzling radiance. Then, it abruptly transformed into a streak of light, manifesting behind Durand’s head as a spectral clock face composed of pure luminescence.

Its hour, minute, and second hands all spun chaotically, like the needle of a malfunctioning compass.

’A Spirit Treasure?’

Yi Beidou’s eyes narrowed. The behavior of Durand’s Pocket Watch made it clear it was no ordinary object. The only explanation was that it was a Spirit Treasure, like those he had encountered before.

Even for masters of the Saint Realm, damage to one’s Life Magnetic Field was considered the most grievous of injuries.

Yi Beidou had developed the Celestial Demon Disintegration Secret Technique simply by reversing his Life Magnetic Field, but even that technique, when pushed to its limits, carried the risk of his body exploding. He could barely stay upright, flailing his arms and legs comically on the spot, nearly toppling over.
