Reign of the Hunters

Chapter 390: Simple and unadorned bow

Chapter 86: Simple and unadorned bow

Elves are not natives of the Maga continent, but they were once the largest foreign immigrants. Of course, it was a long time ago, and by now I don't know how much time has passed, and the once exuberant Elf Clan has faded away to only the White Elf. Other elf races either disappear altogether or hide in the old mountain forest without communicating with the outside world, or become the devil's claw teeth.

Standing in front of this Elf Temple, Leaf Words looked around, looking at this almost invisible ruin, it's not hard to imagine how brilliant it was before the Elf Clan collapsed. Since the death of the last Elf King Doyle, the Elf Clan has been torn apart, and this vast and glorious Elf Temple has completely lost its former splendor. After years of disrepair and destruction of the natural world, the Great Temple has been completely ruined.

However, even though it has become a rubble, standing here still feels the holiness it once was.

Leaf words travel back and forth on this huge piece of rubble, recording the details here on the map. Fortunately, because this is the Temple of the Pokémon, even if it has become a ruin, it seems that all the monsters that inhabit the Rocky Mountains still harbour this residue, so there are no monsters in the Temple of the Pokémon.

However, so quiet and so safe, this rubble has given rise to a kind of cool.

Once a fairy temple was a huge complex with lots of houses, and although it is now a ruin, it is not easy to find something. Leaf words traveled through some abandoned houses. The bow they were looking for was inconclusive, but they turned to many corrosive boxes, which were basically locked. Good thing Leaf words had the all-purpose key in their hands, opened them all up and swept them up a lot.

These boxes were left behind by the Pokémon Sacrifice who served in the temple, most likely for what they thought was precious, and perhaps, before they left, the Pokémon Sacrifice had thought of coming back to collect them, but eventually they had no chance to return to the temple. So these boxes stayed permanently in the temple, and as the ruins of the temple continued to rust, they waited until the leaves arrived.

Leaf words scrape a lot of precious potions from these boxes, and some rare fruits, except that those precious fruits that used to have tremendous benefits are now dry because of the passing of time, and only those that seal well will eventually hold up in the passing of time. In addition to these consumables, there are a number of books, although most of them have been corroded and crushed upon touch, and leaf words have scratched so many boxes that only a few books have been found available.

Most of these books record the history of the Temple of the Pokémon, as well as some obscure spells. It is very ancient Pokémon. The leaf words have not found NPC to learn this language. It is not easy to read and understand. It can only recognize some symbols in a sparse way. It is just something similar to a song or a song. I don't know what effect it will have after reading it.

After spending a lot of time in these houses, Leaf finally found the main building of the Elf Temple. This is a huge rubble of rubble, and there are columns and roofs that are zero on top of it, and on these residual columns and foundations are engraved many signs that make the words familiar - four-leaf grass. This is an ancient elf crest, and it looks like this is definitely the Temple of the Elves.

The crest is a distinctive pattern for every race, and every race is different. For example, humans are vultures, dwarf swords, dead spirits are ribs, and so on. The emblem is an extremely noble symbol in ethnicity and will only appear on very important buildings, weapons, equipment and some objects. It's like a four-leaf grass with a Pokémon crest, and the leaf words are just seen on the clothes of a superior Pokémon, and the other common Pokémon are not worthy of such a crest.

And here, the crest of four-leaf grass is everywhere, visible, how important this temple is in the eyes of the elves, and even a tile of ground is a precious treasure.

Leaf words passed through the weedy squares and quickly reached the ruins of the elf temple. However, she looked around and did not find the door to the rubble. The original gate was also blocked by all the rubble, making it impossible for people to get in. Leaf stood at the doorway of the ruins and raised her eyebrows. Looks like God was destined to keep her out of the front door and she had to look elsewhere to see if she could get in.

After a few laps around the rubble, she finally found an entrance in a corner, but it was very low and not large. There was an iron railing over the entrance, but after so many years, the iron fence had already rusted away. The leaf word just lifted its leg and kicked gently towards the iron fence, and it clanked and broke into pieces, falling into the mouth.

Walking in through the entrance is a staircase that extends downwards and the sun cannot cast through the thick leaves into the staircase, so the leaves can only go down. Luckily, the elf has good night vision, and as she becomes familiar with the dark light, she can easily see the environment inside the entrance.

Obviously, this is a sewer, although the entire temple has been out of repair for a long time, but the sewer hasn't collapsed, it's just not that big long ago, leaving only shallow water on the slab. Leaf walked fast in this sewer, alerting and sensing around, and as soon as something blows the grass, she can launch the deadliest attack.

It is clear, however, that there is still the divine power of the God of Nature that this elf worships, and that it is also constrained by all the monsters in the Rocky Mountains, and the leaves have not found any monsters in the sewers. It's just that the road here is really tortuous, and the road is very confusing, and the leaves hit the wall a few times to find their way up.

Climbing up the sewer, the first thing to enter was the underground three floors of the Temple of the Elves, which was supposed to be the storeroom of the Elves. There were more than fifty rooms in the big one, but each room was locked, and the leaf words luckily opened the doors of three rooms that had already rusted into disfigurement. In addition to the food found in them, the other rooms, she couldn't even open them. Even with the all-purpose key, she had no choice but to give up her intention of scraping all the houses.

Follow the road to the second floor. The second floor should be the home of the elves who had served in the temple. There are numerous rooms with similar layout, bookshelves, desks, and rudimentary beds. However, books on the shelves have long been ashes, leaving empty shelves and desks and the bed. But these are made of wood, and when the leaves reach out and touch, they instantly turn to ash. Nor did this layer find anything of value, so the leaf words had to go to the first level.

There are several huge rooms on the first floor, but the room is also hung by General Iron. Moreover, these beautifully constructed doors, instead of being ruined by the passage of time, are just as dusty as they are newly constructed, and they have a lot of magic arrays on them. Leaf tried to unlock the locks with a universal key, but she got the message that the door could not be opened because of the seal, and she had to give up the idea.

Leaving the first basement floor, you walk up to the first floor of the ground. This is the huge rubble you can see from the outside. From the outside, it's already broken, and from the inside, it can't go anywhere near the outside. Through the huge corridor, we went to the inner court. The inner court is also a shattered scene, full of dust and spider webs, but the leaf word was attracted to the deepest scene just as it entered the inner court. There is a sanctuary, spotlessly stained, with a seven-hole golden lamp stand in front of the sanctuary, lit with huge white candles.

It's as if the Elf Temple has never fallen apart, and the sanctuary has no cleanliness other than the ruin of the inner court. And most striking is that giant Elf statue behind the altar, the natural goddess worshipped by the Elf Clan. As for the leaf word, all her attention was on the bow on the hand of the goddess of nature.

It was a simple, gorgeous bow, like a weapon in the hands of the most ordinary newcomers in the new village. Ye know that this is not the whole truth, and the more precious things are in the world, the more ordinary their appearance is, which also leaves many people who focus solely on their appearance behind.

Everyone knows they can't measure a person from the outside, but often everyone can't escape such a loop, always like to believe the good things they see first, and ignore the plain and simple things.

Leaf thought, this is probably the same thing.

She walked to the side of the altar, stood in front of the altar and looked up at the statue of the goddess of nature, feeling more and more beautiful. Ye looked at the statue for a while and began to think about the real question, which is, how do you take that bow off yourself? Do you want to climb up or hook it down with cat claws?

After a while, Leaf still decided to climb up, after all, using cat claws might destroy the sculpture, which is a shame.

However, when Leaf decided to climb up and put it into action, the system prompted: "You can't cross the line.” (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote on recommendations, monthly tickets (qidian.com), and your support is my biggest motivation.)
