Chapter 180 - 2.60 The Silly Minature Love birds
Diana noticed Xander was really quiet after his parents went into their room and he seemed lost in his thoughts.
"Xander, you ok?" Diana said while she grabbed his hand.
"Yeah, just embarrassed. My mom sometimes," he laughed.
"They’re really sweet though. You really didn’t have to sit so far away from me." she flirted.
"I sat down first! You could have sat by me." he smiled.
"Well, I was just being polite like you were in front of your parents, but now that they’re gone..."
Xander leaned in and kissed her gently. They were getting a little more comfortable with kissing and making out. Nothing more, just two teenagers in their first relationship having some cute moments.
"What are you two doing!" Sasha teased.
They both immediately popped up.
"Gotcha!" Sasha laughed.
"Buuuuuuuusted." Xander said playfully.
Diana smiled. She appreciated that Sasha was nice and that Xander played along. It made her feel more comfortable about being in the mansion. She was already a little overwhelmed that it felt like more of a city than a house. Her parents were very trusting of her, and she didn’t want to break that trust either. She was really happy about everything.
Xander felt the same way about Diana. He wished he couldn’t always see her emotions sometimes, but it did help him understand what made her happy, what made her uncomfortable, what made her nervous and he was proud of himself for only making her uncomfortable once, and that was when Brie originally caught them during their first kiss.
"What are you doing up Auntie Sash? Aren’t you getting married tomorrow?"
"Yeah... it’s almost midnight so I can’t exactly see Levi because it’s the day of the wedding so I’m just headed to one of the spare rooms. Really great job today Diana. That was an amazing job by both of you, honestly. You worked together to help solve something and ensured that one of our party members was safe. I think your dad is going to be able to make a seal with Scarlet pretty quick. She’s going to be big, fast."
"Really? What makes you think that?"
"Did you see the size of the baby dragon that walked out of the egg? It’s like Xander when he was a baby, Diana, he was HUGE!"
"Sasha! Come on! Not you too!" Xander complained.
"You’ll have to tell me more about it after your wedding, I’m looking forward to it!" Diana said. "Goodnight Sasha."
"Goodnight you silly little lovebirds."
"Hey! That’s what you used to call my mom and dad!" Xander instinctively yelled, then immediately covered his mouth with his hands.
Diana turned beat red, and they received no response as Sasha was long gone.
"Did she really used to call them that?"
"They still do!" Xander exclaimed, chuckling.
"So I’m your silly little lovebird?" She asked nervously, hoping for a yes.
Xander noticed the emotions swirling around in her head and he honestly didn’t know he felt, other than he liked her, a lot.
"Only if you’re mine too!" He said with a smile.
"Ok, I like that." She said while giving him a kiss. "We should probably get some sleep. Do you think your mom and dad would mind if we cuddled on the couch?"
"Seeing as how my mom literally said we could cuddle or something, I think that’d be fine. Their room is right over there." He pointed to the master bedroom at the end of the far east hall.
"Ok, have you ever cuddled with anyone before?" She asked.
"Obviously not, so what do you want me to do?" Xander laughed.
They moved to the larger, wider side of the sectional sofa and Xander teleported, grabbed two pillows and a blanket from his closet. He reappeared and Diana was in pajamas already and laying on her side.
"Right here." she patted on the couch.
"You sure? That seems comfortable enough." He said as he put the pillow underneath her head for her and put another one on the other side.
"Yes, I’m sure, just hold my hand and no moves mister!" Diana teased.
"You know I would never–"
"I know Xander. I was teasing. You are so sweet. Goodnight."
"Goodnight my silly little lovebird," Xander said quietly.
Diana held his hand and smiled. Xander knew how happy she was and how loved she felt and for the first time, he knew what colors were inside of his head.
’I’m probably even more green and pink in my brain than she is. Seriously, she’s so amazing. I need to talk to my dad about stuff and when he knew what love was. All I know is I get a warm fuzzy feeling every time I’m with her and it’s only been over a month.’
Diana pretended to fall asleep, but she was thinking just as much as Xander.
’He can see the emotions in my head... maybe I should just ask him what colors they are? What does it mean to be a silly little lovebird? What does it mean to love someone? I’m just glad I can’t see the future with him anymore. Before it showed us still together next school year and dancing at homecoming.’ She blushed and glad Xander couldn’t see her face.
’He makes me happy, but I think love should feel a lot more powerful. Maybe I should talk to Brie...’
Just as Xander was about to fall asleep, he quickly asked, "Diana, please tell me you’re ok!"
Her head was floating with fear, nervousness, and confusion while still having a slight hints of love, happiness and comfort.
"Diana!"
She simply couldn’t respond because she was having a vision. A vision she never thought she expected she would see.
"Sorry Xander! I should have warned you that I can’t talk when I’m having a vision," she said, turning to face him. "Seriously I’m so sorry!"
Xander gently kissed her forehead, as he saw she was relaxing. "It’s ok, what happened?"
"It was about someone joining our party..." Diana said.
"Wait, why were you scared then? Who could it possibly be?" Xander asked.
"I don’t know... that’s what freaks me out so much!"
"Don’t worry, let’s cuddle and like I promised, I’ll always make sure you feel safe."
She kissed him, thanked him, and became the little spoon again.
"Let me know if you need to talk ok? You can wake me up in the middle of the night. Please do it Diana, I really like you."
"I really like you too Xander and I will, thank you." She said, squeezing his hand.
’Why would someone so scary join our party?’ she thought, struggling to sleep.
"Hey! I know, give me a second."
Xander sprinted over to the medicine cabinet and grabbed one of the magic sleeping capsules and of the relaxation magic capsules for Diana.
"You don’t have too, but would you like to take one of these? They are infused with elven magic to help you relax or help you sleep. They aren’t medicine or drugs, they are just magically infused and aren’t addicting or anything. I would never do anything like that."
"You’re such a sweetheart, but I’ll be ok as long as you cuddle with me." she said sincerely.
"Aw, you’re amazing. Let me put these back and I’ll come right back!"
Xander teleported this time, which surprised Diana.
"Oooh! That was quick. You’re such a handsome, polite guy Xander."
"Thanks. I think you’re pretty beautiful yourself. Plus my parents love you!" he exclaimed.
For the first time for both of them, they fell asleep hand in hand, wrapped together in a blanket, both dreaming sweetly.
