Pride realized he forgot to ask Sora something before he and Eris went to visit with Ignis and Leila, so he asked Eris if she minded waiting just a moment. She didn't, so Pride teleported back to Sora.

"Missed me already huh?" Sora joked.

"Ha. Funny. I wanted to talk to you and Brie about something in private, away from the kids."

"Sure, let's head out back."

The two appeared in their beautiful courtyard and Pride followed.

"So what's on your mind Pride?" Brie asked cheerfully.

"I think I should eliminate Malphas. He will not see it coming and the demons shouldn't be treated so poorly if that is the main goal."

"Hmmmmmm. What about the princes? Won't they just take over ruling the demons?"

"He also has a special forces unit that runs itself. If anything, Fenrir will use this opportunity to lead the demons and the werewolves as one."

"Doesn't that create more trouble for our party though?" Brie asked curiously.

"Not really babe. If Pride has been training with Xander and we know what to expect, I don't see demons or werewolves, even in a large capacity being a problem."

"That is exactly what I was thinking. I just wanted your confirmation and order to do so."

Sora laughed.

"I thought we were working on not needing my orders to do anything? What do you feel is right to do?"

"Eliminate Malphas and catch the demons off guard. Maybe Hades will make a mistake."

"Then you should do it!" Brie said with her usual, bubbly charm.

"Ok. Thank you both." Pride said before teleporting away.

"I wonder how powerful he really is now. Can you inspect him babe?" Sora asked Brie.

"Nope. He listed all of his skills and stuff though. He's certainly on a different playing field than most of the people on Exteria. I wonder why Azazel made him so strong? He's the only human looking one as well, aren't all the others abominations?"

"Yes they are. Well, let's just make sure our son is safe tonight. If we have to jump in, we will do so."

"Good, now let's go jump in bed."

Sora smiled widely. "You don't have to ask me twice."

Pride arrived in Malphas' throne room where he was sitting at his desk, hunched over writing in his notebook.

"Hello Pride, it's been awhile." Malphas said, not turning to look at him.

Pride walked to him, paying attention to his surroundings. No one else was there, aside from Fenrir and Selene, who were sitting around talking. They didn't even bother to look at him.

'Well, what needs to be done must be done,' he thought before quickly creating a large, metallic spear from his hand and punctured Malphas right through the heart. He used his other hand as an extended sword to cut off his head at precisely the same time.

"Useless." Pride muttered.

"Hey, what the fuck do you think you're doing?" Fenrir screamed.

"Looks like you two are in charge now. Goodbye."

"You can't just kill him and run off like that–" Selene started to say, realizing he had already vanished.

"Why the hell would he do that Fenrir? So do we have to take command of the demons now?"

"No clue and appears so. I'll let the princes know, if they're still around."

Pride arrived back in his room, where Eris was waiting unexpectedly. She noticed the blood on his skin and shook her head.

"Sorry Eris. I had to do what needed to be done. Malphas did not deserve to continue ruling over and torturing the demons," he said while walking to the bathroom to run water to clean himself off.

"Not judging you Pride, just can't believe how many things have changed recently. What are you going to end up doing with the other sins? Are you close with them?"

"They are pathetic."

Eris giggled.

"I didn't realize you giggled. It's kind of cute." Pride joked.

"Are you flirting with me?" She teased.

"No. Azazel lost sight of everything because of his blindness and attraction toward Helen. He was a foolish man who only sought power. Granted, I do enjoy the benefits of that power."

"Why do you want to talk to Leila and Ignis?"

"You will find out when we get there, let us go."

The two walked together in silence and arrived at Leila's door. Pride knocked gently and Ignis answered.

"Hey, Scarlet's asleep, thank you for knocking gently. What's going on?"

"I would like to speak to you and Leila please."

"Leila sweetie, please come over here."

"Just invite him in my love, it's ok."

Ignis opened the door and Pride and Eris slowly walked in, trying to stay quiet and noticed the little dragon fast asleep on a pillow.

"She's so precious," Eris gushed.

"Leila, I think you should be with Celeste tonight at Diana's home. I am concerned that something may happen to her parents if you are not. That is all I can say. I am sorry."

Leila looked shocked and confused, as did Ignis.

"Someone said my name?" Celeste said as she appeared.

"Hello Celeste. I think it would be wise for the four of us to stand guard and look out tonight for Xander's date. I would ask Ignis to accompany Leila but I do not want to separate her parents from her. The heat is too beneficial for a young dragon."

"That makes four of us. What are you so worried about? Can't you and Eris handle it?"

Pride said nothing.

"I don't think he can talk about it. I think there is something more that's going on from above and it's good we can't be tracked here." Eris said calmly.

"Interesting. Well, it's your choice, lovely. If you want to go, you should but if you want to stay with Scarlet and me, that's fine too." Ignis said while giving his wife a kiss.

Leila thought about it for a minute.

"Ok, I'll come. If we are worried about Diana's parents and her safety, I am all for it." She said calmly.

"Thank you. Their date is in an hour so I think we should head out and set up a patrol now." Pride said calmly.

"Lead the way."

They followed Pride into the nice area of Sorbella Diana lived in. It was a gated neighborhood with nice houses, but with what Pride sensed was coming, that wasn't going to be a problem.

"Eris and I will be hiding behind her house. Celeste, use your invisibility and watch the front of the house. Leila, I suggest you go somewhere safe in case you need to transform."

"Transform?! What is going on, Pride?"

"I cannot say. I am sorry."
