Reincarnation into the Barrier Master
Lesson 319: Military Exercises
A huge dome had appeared on the snow-covered plains of Agarta. That is so well made to resemble the appearance at first glance. And among them, the elite 5,000 soldiers of the Agarta army were conducting secret exercises.
The soldiers were divided into two hands, simulating battles while Knogen and Matkal were each in command. It was Linos and Lafayence watching it from the top of a small high hill, and Mae, Siddy and a few Dwarves.
It is rare for May or Sidi to face such combat training. Instead, I could say I've never seen anything like this before. May, in particular, seemed surprised by the training unfolding in action, and she stepped back behind Linos and looked at it with horror over her shoulder. Linos speaks gently with a grin on May like that.
"Stay there, you see? It's a weapon made by May. Take a good look at that, will you?
May nods in an odd way. Linos turns again to training with a grin. This time, Matkal-led troops are attacking the Knogen-led army.
"Surrender! Surrender!
Knogen's voice echoes. Using his voice as a signal, the two troops slowly separated again and took a distance.
"... you've been hit unilaterally. Hats off."
Knogen opens his mouth in front of Linos, smiling with Nico. The old general, who was watching it, does not even try to hide his surprised expression, but opens his mouth to the kunogen and matokal he refrains from before.
"I didn't know Knogen had no hands, no legs... you're surprised, to be honest. No, Knogen, you're just getting old?
Kunogen laughs bitterly at the words.
"I will not deny it. I'm almost 50, too."
"What to say! Isn't it an assortment of men, like 50 years old! We still have to hold on!
"Yes, General, while Master Matokal's power of control is gained, so is the power of this weapon."
"Big idiot! It would be the commander's role to take care of these situations."
"Fair enough, General."
I turn my gaze to Matocal while I control Lafayence with my hands.
"Mato, it was brilliant. In fact, I saw it, and for the first time I understood what you were saying. I see, you can certainly fight this efficiently. On the contrary, Mato, have you noticed anything? Just let me know if you need me."
She looks up softly and, after a moment of silence, slowly opens her mouth.
"Weaponry, if you can, should be a little smaller. Hopefully, just about the sword you put on your hips."
In response to that voice, the Dwarves are taking crisp notes. Matocal goes on to say even more as he sees that as chilling.
"Besides, you might want to lighten up your armor, too. Especially how fast the infantry moves becomes a battle. Thinking about it, the armor they're wearing right now is too heavy. Your health is draining heavily. This is a one-time battle, so it's not a problem, but it's going to be a lot more onerous after many battles and a long period of time."
Hearing the words, Sidi looks to heaven as she puts her index finger under her chin. This is a pose deducing something, but one of the dwarves speaks up in the middle of it.
"It is said to be any lighter armor, but the pursuit of lightness reduces the intensity. I can do as much light armor as I want, but that way, I can't protect myself from bows and arrows and magic. Naturally, I can't even protect myself from swords and spear attacks. Now the armor is critical."
Dwarves snort uniformly at the words.
"Nothing, don't you want it?
Suddenly Sidi opens her mouth. I can't swallow the meaning of her words and we wait for the next one in silence.
"If we value mobility, we'd rather not have armor. Equipped with armor halfway through, it would be the same if a steeple was rammed with a bow and arrow attack, or rather, if the commander could identify the battle situation so that it would not come under that attack. A magical attack can only take advantage of Lord Linos' junction stone."
"No, no matter how much, it's..."
"Considering the burden on the soldiers, that might be a good idea."
Matocal pinches his mouth as Lafayence tries to open it. The old general gave a surprised look for a moment, but eventually laughed nicely and nodded slowly.
"Well, Mato, thank you, but if you don't equip yourself with armor, think about what kind of operation an infantry should do. May, Siddie, and everyone, if you have any good ideas, keep putting them out. Today's exercise was very rewarding. Kunogen, Mato, thank you for your hard work!
With that voice of mine, everyone bowed their heads.
Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Tana, on a snowy plain, the same military training was carried out as in Agarta.
Thousands of soldiers are gathered in one place in the middle of the plain, surrounded by troops. Moreover, an army was also placed on the hills on all sides, from the top of the mountain, watching as Ville, the king, sat on a lavish throne, accompanied by many of his men.
Eventually, towards a group in the middle, the soldiers around them began their assault. Everyone is storming with their spears upright. But the troops in the center, using the shield they had in a flash, created a giant wall. At that moment, the sound of metal starting to fly echoes.
Despite being equipped with a real spear, the offensive team had not broken the defense team's attitude at all. That was repeated several times, but the defense team was not frightened, only the sound of iron bumping into each other sounded.
Shortly after the attack team retreated to its original position, troops now positioned on the hill moved to attack. These troops were centered on wizards, including magicians, from which attacks of fire, water, wind and thunder took place. But the defense brings us closer together. It's as if he's in a rough position, but shortly afterwards, a shield was erected, shaped like one giant rock. There, magic of all attributes pours down. But the rock was frightened, and it continued to withstand magical attacks like rain.
Thereafter, several coordinated attacks were carried out between troops on the ground and the wizard, but the defensive forces still did not collapse, and some two hours of combat training once rested.
After a while, before Ville, the three men appeared, on one knee, bowing their heads respectfully. He looks at each and every one of them with satisfaction.
"Sounds like you've been attacking."
The King's word, but no one reacts. He nevertheless, without breaking his grin, turned his gaze to the man in the robe and went on to say more.
"What do you say, Geranius?
A man called by his name slowly raises his head. There was a grin on that face.
"You were brilliant. The soldiers' gear and Lord Jonik's extraction were also brilliant, but I take my hat off to His Majesty, who considered this tactic."
"Honsh, how are you?
"Ha, as Sir Geranius alleged, our infantry and cavalry didn't stand any teeth at all. I think you're really brilliant."
The king snorts loudly at the words. And slowly turn your gaze to the man who keeps lowering his head.
"Jonik, it was brilliant"
The man slowly looks up and bows his head again.
"Crimeana's technology is a big deal. I didn't expect to draw so much useless Twankurd power from Agarta. I don't think Geranius can defeat the full force of the Enchantress. A shield that can withstand both this material and magical attack is no longer capable of passing through any attack. Jonik, study how to use this shield further. I didn't do it this time, but I'll have to try archer attacks next time.... just in case. And the rest are hereby ordered to distribute this brilliant shield to all soldiers. Get ready now!
To the king's words, everyone who held back beside him bows his head.
"Jonik."
"Ha."
"In the earlier attack, how much damage did the soldiers cause?
"Ha, roughly..."
"No, let me guess the rest.... roughly 300 for troops on the north side. 100 deaths in it. What do you say?"
"… as you guessed"
"Only the squad on the north side left a wide gap in the shield. Make sure that there is no gap between the shield and the shield, and that the height is even. Next time... let's go inside and tell the rest! Troops that protect the gods will not tolerate a single mistake!
Jonik lowered his head slowly with a surprised look on the king's words.
In the snowfields of the kingdom of Tana, the king's laughter was echoed...
