Chapter 523: So, It Was All a Misunderstanding (4)
Annabelle Linton was familiar with the scenes he was describing.
But this was the first time she realized he was so... lecherous.
Reading the real story here, it turned out to be completely different from what she had thought.
The best proof that a man has feelings for a woman is jealousy.
’Does that mean Leona Grant actually had feelings for me back then?’
What a sad story.

[The scene changed again. I was suddenly in the middle of the road. Countless cars passed right through me, but I didn’t get hit?]
’I’m invincible.’
Just then, I saw Annabelle Linton driving over. I started walking toward her when suddenly, another car slammed into hers, and Vivian Yates went flying out of the window.
...Well, this is awkward.
The scene was so spectacular that you’ll have to forgive my clumsy tongue; I can’t find the words to describe it.
But in one word, tragic. In two words, pathetic. In three... BWAHAHAHAHAHA.
(Annabelle was speechless.)
But Annabelle Linton was fine, just unconscious. They were both sent to the hospital. Vivian Yates didn’t wake up, but Annabelle Linton came to pretty quickly.
Then Annabelle Linton went to check on Vivian Yates, and my dream-self yelled at her. The gist of it was him cursing her for being so vicious.
...At times like this, it’s best to play dumb. I saw nothing.
Annabelle Linton tried to explain, but I wouldn’t listen. I told her to get lost and cursed her out for relying on Grandpa’s influence. I might not be able to divorce her, but I could damn well make her scram. Then I threw her luggage at her and told her to disappear.
"..."
Annabelle Linton cried for a very long time. With no other options, she found a random hotel to stay in. Meanwhile, I went to find my dream-self.
I learned from my dream-self that everything was intentional, from Vivian Yates’s serious injuries to me yelling at Annabelle Linton to leave. I had known Vivian Yates would try to frame Annabelle Linton, so I’d had the car window replaced with the shoddiest kind.
Yelling at Annabelle Linton to leave was my way of protecting her.
It seems there’s someone around me with ulterior motives, lurking in the shadows. I was afraid Annabelle Linton would get hurt. It looked like I was driving her away, but it was actually a different way of protecting her.
This is why I’m recording this dream. I don’t know if it’s real, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Especially since this involves Annabelle Linton. I have to get to the bottom of it.
I’ve wronged Annabelle Linton too much. I don’t want to hurt her again, and I don’t want to see her get hurt by others anymore.
If it were possible, I’d hope to be the one who grows old with her. But that’s obviously a pipe dream... She’s getting married.]
Annabelle Linton’s eyes widened in shock.
’So the reason Leona Grant yelled at me to leave wasn’t because of Vivian Yates, but to protect me!’
’But what exactly is this conspiracy? And it has something to do with Vivian Yates, right?’
A million questions flooded her mind, and a grim, serious expression settled on Annabelle Linton’s face.

[This time, I appeared in a hotel room.]
I had just gotten my bearings when I heard some lewd sounds. I looked toward the source of the noise and... what the hell? On a screen, Vivian Yates was having sex with a stranger?
Holy crap, I feel like my eyes have been violated.
Thinking about it again just makes me feel sick. Annabelle Linton, if you have a conscience, you’ll let me sleep with you once to make up for my scarred psyche!
(Annabelle was speechless.)
That tramp Vivian Yates was moaning my name, saying something like, "Faster."
Faster what? Faster sending you to hell?
I’m speechless. You just close your eyes, ignore everything else, and pretend I’m the one fucking you?
How can a woman this shameless exist in the world?
If I’m going to fuck someone, it’s going to be Annabelle Linton. Who the hell do you think you are?
(Annabelle was speechless.)
