Chapter 587: Bitches Are Hypocritical 4
Normally, she wouldn’t have bothered arguing, but Annabelle Linton suddenly remembered something.
She remembered reading in Leona Grant’s file that after she had rescued Leona from the fire, Vivian Yates and her mother had erased her memories and sent her away.
Yvonne Miller was the one who helped send her away.
’I almost forgot. Yvonne Miller was also acquainted with Vivian Yates’s mother.’
Annabelle was truly at a loss for words. It was true what they say—all vermin flock together.
Miss... Miller...
Yvonne Miller’s face flushed, then paled. ’This bitch! Her words were intentionally loaded!’
Not to be outdone, Yvonne Miller shot back, "Your mom’s the bitch, and you’re her bastard spawn. What about it?"
Annabelle scoffed.
"Wow, you’re really something else. Miss Miller, you’re a living legend, always finding new lows of shamelessness. A single conversation with you could shatter a person’s entire worldview. Should I congratulate you on reaching the pinnacle of stupidity? A textbook case of having no shame."
Hearing this, Tina Chapman scowled. "Annabelle Linton, look at yourself. You don’t have the faintest air of a well-bred lady. Is this how your father raised you? No matter what, Yvonne is your mother in the eyes of the law. Is this how you treat your own mother? And ’Miss’? Why are you calling her ’Miss’? Are you out of your mind?"
"Mother?" Annabelle laughed, her tone light and breezy. "You’re hilarious."
"As for why I call her ’Miss’... isn’t ’Miss’ a compliment? It suggests our Miss Miller is young and beautiful. Every woman wants to stay young forever, isn’t that right, Miss Miller? I’ve heard lots of people address you that way," Annabelle said with a meaningful smile.
Tina Chapman’s expression darkened at her words, and she couldn’t help but chastise her. "What is that tone? I am your aunt, after all. It’s bad enough you don’t even greet me, but now you’re standing here making sarcastic remarks?"
Annabelle’s expression was blank as she looked at Yvonne Miller, but her words were directed at Tina Chapman. Her smile remained calm. "So telling the truth is considered sarcasm now? It sounds like you must have grown up completely coddled. And please, stop calling yourself my aunt. I don’t even have a father, so where would I get an aunt from?"
Tina Chapman frowned, clearly confused about the situation.
A corner of Annabelle’s mouth lifted as she looked at her. "What, your good friend here didn’t tell you? I cut all ties with William Chapman a long time ago. It’s legally recognized. Also, just now, Mi—"
Annabelle let out another sarcastic laugh. "Heh, Yvonne Miller said my mother was a bitch. Miller, don’t you think you’re the bigger bitch here? That video of you sleeping with another man..."
"You bitch!"
Yvonne Miller panicked. ’I’ve worked so hard to get in Tina Chapman’s good graces; I can’t let this fall apart.’
She rushed at Annabelle and swung her hand for a slap. "What nonsense are you spouting? I’ll rip your mouth to shreds!"
But her hand never made contact. Annabelle caught her by the wrist and, with a swift motion, landed two backhanded slaps across her face.
Annabelle had completely lost her patience. She stared at her coldly and said in a harsh voice, "Remember this. I’m not someone you can just hit. And I’m not someone you can just scream at."
"And another thing—you’d better remember it. My mother was not a bitch. In this entire world, you are the last person qualified to call her one. You were already fooling around with that animal before my mother was even dead. How dare you call her a bitch? And I’m not the bastard here; your precious daughter is. You’re the bitch who sleeps with anyone!"
