Chapter 1140: Ch 1140: Evolution
The older boys took out wodden shield and went to the frontline. As their bodies were small, they were able to hide themselves with the medium sized shield quite easily.
As the wolf used his claws to strike the shields, all the boys firmly planted their feet on the ground and withstood this strike withing giving in.
As for the girls and younger boys, they took out some handmade weapons like stone made throwing axes, sharpened stone made spear tips, small wooden throwing spears and such.
All of these weapons were something that the children had made by their own hands and it was Elena who had taught them how to do so. And now, they started to throw those weapons at the wolf with all their might.
But hitting him was not going to be so easy. With his nimble movement, the wolf dodged everything and tried to jump over the wall of shield to take care of the children behind it.
But the wolf was unable of do so. And the person responsible for stopping this from happening was Shin. He had a blunt metalic sword in his hand and he used that to hit the wolf on his head just as it was abou to jump.
Then as the wolf almost fainted after enduring this strike, a girl threw a cloth pouch toward the disoriented beast.
Sensing this, even in the half conscious state, the wolf used his claws to defend against this pouch and in that process, ended up making a hole on the cloth.
Immediately after that, a powder came out of that hole and fell on the wolf. It was extremely suprising sj he was not ready for something like this at all. And this powder turned out to be a powerful paralysing agent.
So getting effected by this, the wolf started to slow down. Taking advantage of this, the boys used hammers made of rocks to strike it whenever they got the opportunity.
That was how the wound accumulated on the wolf and soon, he was unable to move at all. So, now all the children ganged up on the unmoving wolf and beat it to death.
The performance and teamwork they showed during this operation was quite impressive and Elena was happy to see this. It was not just Shin who had gotten stronger, the other children had also grown quite a bit.
The paralysing powder that was used on the wolf, it was not something that Elena had given the girl. She herself had made it after studying a book about local herbs given to her by Elena. This girl was the childhood sweetheart of Shin and her name was Tatsumi.
Elena had investigated her a little bit too and it turned out, after her survival against the river king, she had received some blessings from the heroic fortune of Shin. At the same time, she actually had a high affinity for the magus system.
So in the future, Tatsumi was definitely going to become a helpful companion for Shin. So Elena was being quite strict with her training too.

After this, as the adults of the village learned about how the children had managed to hunt a wolf together, they all got very curious about what kind of things was Elena teaching them ?
So from the next day onwards, even the adults started to join in her class and it turned out that this was extremely beneficial to them. Elena was a good teacher even the adults like to be taught by her.

It’s been about 4 months since Annavilla had started its research and experiments. And in this venture, it had seen some success already.
Even though the completion of the full plan was still quite a bit away, it had definitely made some progress. And now, it was time for Annavilla to check out the results of that.
While trying to boost the power of these metalic beings through powerful metals, Annavilla ran into some troubles. And this trouble was related to the power system of this universe.
It turned out that it was impossible to just increase the strength of these beings by just using poweful metal. Annavilla needed to make sure what it was doing was accorid in to a power system that suited this universe.
Just like Elena, Annavilla was also capable of accessing the archive of the universe using her powers as a Chaosborn. So immediately she had started to investigate the vast amount of data to found a way.
Noticing what Annavilla was trying, Elena had actually helped it out a little by giving Annavilla several related information which would have taken it a lot of time to find. And after analysing the information, Annavilla came to with a simple but super effective plan.
And this plan involved a special feature called evolution. This was something very normal for many universes but for this one, the concept of evolution was not something very well known.
That was mostly because the condition of triggering an evolution was extremely hard and unlikely. And as there was no instruction manual for this, it was only by coincidence how a few evolutions had happened throughout the years.
But even the evolved individuals were insure about the principles behind this and what were the conditions. So that was why, evolution had became a very uncommon topic for the powerhouse.
But as Annavilla was capable of readings the data from the source, it was obviously capable of forcing an evolution. And that was exactly what was going to happen very soon.
The best and the most straightforward way for the Osaranic race to become stronger was by utilising a high quality metal to undergo an evolution. And Annavilla herself would take care of fulfilling the conditions, so the chance of success here was very high.
And the first person to try this process out would be the leader of the Osaranic race. This being would be trying to reach the rank of 9 by evolving.

After all the preparations were done, the process started. In order to evolve, one needed to have about 3 times more energy than the maximum of their realm available. Obviously they needed some kind of high level power source or an external battery for this.
And in this process, Annavilla itself was going to take on the role of a battery. This way, she could also intervene if anything unexpected happened.
And the second condition was for someone to be at the top of their individual potential. And the leader was obviously fulfilling this condition even without Annavilla’s help.
And then finally, as the last option, the individual needed to face some kind of danger or being that would be too strong for their current self. Only then, one would be able to refine their extra power and evolved in order to survive against the opposition.
For this experiment, The opposition was going be a powerful golem of Annavill. This golem was almost as strong as the lead body that Annavilla had prepared, so it should be enough.
Still, Annavilla did have some worries about if the same individual being the battery and the enemy at the same time was possible or not. She could found that out only by testing it.
So without wasting any more time, Annavilla started the evolution process for the leader of the Osaranic race.
