Chapter 318: Refund
Hearing this, Ouyang Lei was so angry he could have spat blood.
"Boss, are you running a scam? Who in the world does business like you!"
Ouyang Lei argued his case, and many people in the crowd supported him, feeling the owner was being completely unreasonable.
However, the owner wasn’t fazed by the scene in the slightest and said dismissively,
"These have always been my rules for doing business. If you won’t follow them, then find another shop!"
The owner wasn’t worried at all. No matter what happened, he had already profited today.
Seeing her younger brother Ouyang Lei being bullied, Ouyang Feifei finally couldn’t stand it anymore and stepped forward.
"How can you be like this, boss? Aren’t you a little too shameless!"
Ouyang Feifei accused him, her voice filled with righteous indignation.

Ouyang Feifei played along, widening her eyes to give him a warning look.
But to their surprise, the shop owner didn’t seem to care about the Security Pavilion at all. There was even a hint of contempt on his face.
"So what if she’s from the Security Pavilion? Does that mean people from the Security Pavilion don’t have to follow reason?"
Ouyang Feifei’s face flushed with anger. This owner was clearly the unreasonable one, yet he had the gall to accuse others of being unreasonable.
Ouyang Lei was also getting desperate. He couldn’t believe the owner wouldn’t even give his sister face.
He couldn’t bear to part with this piece of Imperial Green. After all, he’d been gambling on stones for so long and had lost so much money. This was the first time he’d ever cut into something so valuable. How could he possibly give it up?
Just then, Ouyang Lei’s gaze inadvertently fell upon Qin Tuo, and his eyes lit up.

Ouyang Lei quickly grabbed Qin Tuo’s hands and forcefully pulled him over.

"What does it matter? Sister Mani is your best friend, which makes her my sister, too. So doesn’t that still make him my brother-in-law?"
His words left both Ouyang Feifei and Chen Man Ni completely speechless.

Ouyang Lei put his hands on his hips and pointed at the owner, saying angrily,
"Brother-in-law, you be the judge! He took my money but then went back on his word. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?"
But the owner just glared, looking completely shameless and unfazed by the threats.
Qin Tuo glanced at the stone in Ouyang Lei’s hands, then shook his head and let out a derisive laugh.
"Oh? Brother-in-law, what’s with that look?"
Ouyang Lei was suddenly confused.
Qin Tuo said casually,
"Let me tell you, that stone isn’t worth a thing. You might as well just toss it in the trash."
Ouyang Lei was so shocked he couldn’t speak.
The onlookers were all baffled, thinking Qin Tuo was just spouting nonsense.
However, the shop owner was now the one who was displeased. He snorted coldly and said,
"Where did you come from, you little brat? How dare you spout such lies with your eyes wide open!"
But Qin Tuo just smiled.
"If you don’t believe me, you can make a couple of cuts yourself. That way you can’t say I tricked you."
Seeing Qin Tuo’s confident expression, Ouyang Lei started to have some doubts.
If he hadn’t already witnessed how capable Qin Tuo was, he would have never believed it if anyone else had said such a thing.
The owner was so angry he laughed. He nodded and said through gritted teeth,
"Fine, kid! I’ll cut it open right in front of you and slap you in the face with the truth!"
The owner felt that since such a large patch of green had already been exposed, there was no way this stone could be a loser.
With that, he took out his professional tools and made a cut right into it!
Everyone around stared with wide eyes, not daring to blink.
After the cut was complete, the crowd burst into an uproar!
It turned out there was indeed nothing inside the stone.
The owner was also stunned. Unable to believe his eyes, he shook his head violently.
"Haha, it really is trash! Brother-in-law, you’re amazing!"
Ouyang Lei was quick to suck up.
The shop owner still didn’t believe it. He grit his teeth and made another cut.
But after this cut, he was completely crestfallen!
Because after the cut, there was still nothing.
Everyone in the crowd was dumbfounded, and the owner himself was stunned.
To think that after so many years in the business, he had misjudged so badly, and to a young man at that. Didn’t this just prove his eyes were failing him in his old age?
Ouyang Lei clapped his hands with glee, laughing triumphantly.
"Boss, I don’t want this piece of trash. You can keep it and play with it yourself. Now hurry up and give me my deposit back!"
However, when the owner came to his senses, a cunning glint appeared in his eyes. He sneered,
"The deposit has been paid. There are no refunds!"
Hearing the owner resort to such shameless tactics, Ouyang Lei was so angry he wanted to go up and hit him.
Ouyang Feifei and Chen Man Ni were also furious and joined in on the accusations.
But Qin Tuo suddenly spoke up, his voice calm.
"Since you can’t refund the money, then you must have a solution, right?"
The shop owner thought for a moment and said,
"How about this? You can either pick out another raw stone, or you can just accept your bad luck and swallow the loss."
At this, even the onlookers felt it was going too far, and they all started saying that the owner was truly shameless.
Ouyang Lei also shouted in fury,
"You bastard! This is just bullying!"
But the shop owner was clearly determined to take advantage of Ouyang Lei and pocket the money.
Suddenly, Qin Tuo nodded.
"Alright then, we’ll just pick another raw stone!"
Ouyang Lei was completely dumbfounded, shocked that Qin Tuo had actually agreed.
