Chapter 252: Testing the Security System
Hearing it was about Tang Zhaosong’s lab, Lu Yunque relaxed a little.
If it was something related to Tang Zhaosong, then there was indeed no need to worry about safety issues.
However, when he thought about the suggestion Yun Zijin had made to Tang Zhaosong, Lu Yunque still felt a lingering sense of apprehension.
"Once the issue with the manor is resolved, are you really going to build a lab for Mr. Tang underneath it? This is no joking matter."
Seeing that no one was around, Lu Yunque lowered his voice to ask Yun Zijin.
"Of course. I’ve always been very serious about this."
’Besides, I’m a law-abiding, tax-paying good citizen. Even if the authorities are suspicious of me, they can’t do anything as long as they can’t find any evidence.’
And she would never tell anyone about Randomly Spend.
"As long as you’ve thought it through. If you run into anything you can’t solve, you can come to me anytime."
Lu Yunque was genuinely worried about Yun Zijin, but seeing her so insistent, he couldn’t say anything more.

Since Yun Zijin was clearly confident in her plan, Lu Yunque didn’t press her further.
After dinner, the two said their goodbyes to Zhong Tiemin and left. By the time they got outside, the car Lu Yunque had used to take Qin Sitong home had returned.
However, Yun Zijin felt more like riding in her Ferrari Enzo today, so she didn’t get into Lu Yunque’s car.
Of course, Lu Yunque was happy to ride in whichever car Yun Zijin chose.

Because they were going to the cybersecurity center to test the security system together, Mei Lin, for the first time ever, had not left the house before Yun Zijin woke up.
"Miss."
Seeing Yun Zijin emerge from her room, Mei Lin bowed her head slightly in greeting.
Yun Zijin nodded. "Mm, let’s eat first. We just need to be at the security center by nine."
Mei Lin nodded slightly and fell into step just half a pace behind Yun Zijin as they walked to the dining room together.
Mei Lin was a robot and didn’t need to eat, but to avoid arousing suspicion, she maintained the habit of eating three meals a day.
She could convert anything she ate into the energy she required, with no need for further processing.
"Miss, you don’t have class this morning. Why are you up so early?"
When Yun Zijin didn’t have morning classes, she usually woke up a little later.
"I have a few things to take care of today, so I had to get up early."
’I’m going to an art exhibition this afternoon, so testing the security system has to be done in the morning.’
Just then, Lu Yunque sent her a picture of his breakfast.

And after Yun Zijin said she had things to take care of, Wang Minli didn’t ask any more questions.
She could ask about her employer’s trivial affairs, but it wasn’t her place to inquire about anything private.
This was a principle Wang Minli had learned from her many years working as a live-in maid.
Yun Zijin ate a hearty meal, but Mei Lin merely ate two steamed dumplings as a token gesture and then stopped.
Although she could convert food into the energy she needed, the process was complex and lengthy. If she had the choice, Mei Lin would have preferred not to eat at all.
Since they were visiting a government department today, Yun Zijin opted for the more mature and stately Rolls-Royce Phantom. She and Mei Lin got into the car together.
Upon arriving at the entrance to the cybersecurity center, they had to go through a series of checks before being allowed in.
When the two of them arrived, the others were already waiting.
"You’re here! Hurry, hurry! We were just waiting for you."
Yan Shutang breathed a small sigh of relief when he saw Yun Zijin and Mei Lin.
He had been rather afraid they would back out at the last minute.
After all, he was the one who had communicated with the people here to arrange the test. If they had been a no-show, the responsibility would have fallen on him.
This was Yun Zijin’s first time meeting Yan Shutang, so she didn’t know who he was and glanced at Mei Lin.
"The project lead for the Tang Zhaosong laboratory."
Mei Lin provided a precise introduction.
"I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Yan Shutang, and I’m primarily responsible for external communications for Mr. Tang’s lab."
"Hello. But... I don’t recall seeing you at the conference last time."
At the mention of this, Yan Shutang looked rather aggrieved.
"Mr. Tang sent me on an errand, and I got back a day late, so I missed the conference."
The truth was, Tang Zhaosong had gone behind all of their backs, attending the conference with only an assistant and a bodyguard.
And to top it off, he had returned with a plan to rebuild the lab. When Yan Shutang first heard about it, he was firmly opposed.
But when he heard Tang Zhaosong say the manor’s owner would cover all the expenses, his heart was fiercely tempted.
Now, seeing Yun Zijin, the benefactor herself, in person, Yan Shutang was smiling so broadly his face could have sprouted new wrinkles.
It was a look that seriously clashed with his outwardly refined, almost villainous, appearance.
"Enough chitchat. Take us to the security system testing area."
Yun Zijin didn’t want to waste time on pleasantries and had no patience for beating around the bush.
"No problem. Miss Yun, this way, please."
Yan Shutang led the way, with Yun Zijin and Mei Lin following behind him.
When they arrived, Yun Zijin saw Tang Zhaosong along with the assistant she had seen at the conference.
As for the others, she couldn’t tell if they were with Tang Zhaosong or from the cybersecurity center.
"Miss Yun, I never expected you’d come today as well. It seems you and our cybersecurity center are quite fated to meet."
The moment he spoke, Yun Zijin knew he must be from the cybersecurity center.
’I brought Zero One and the others over last time to help them upgrade their security system, and they’re still trying to poach my people.’
’Too bad for them. Neither my bodyguards nor Mei Lin would ever agree to go with them.’
"Hello. I don’t see Mr. Lin Yan, however."
Lin Yan was the only person Yun Zijin knew from the cybersecurity center.
