Chapter 235: I’ll Make a Scene if You Don’t Agree
Yun Zijin and Lu Yunque left the restaurant after dinner. According to their original plan, they were supposed to head home.
However, Yun Zijin had noticed Lu Yunque looking like he wanted to say something but held back, and a suspicion began to form in her mind.
"I just remembered, there’s another ride we haven’t been on. Let’s not go back just yet, okay?"
Lu Yunque looked at Yun Zijin. "Sure."
Lu Yunque let Yun Zijin pull him along, but the farther they walked, the more familiar the path seemed.

"The Ferris wheel! I’m always seeing posts about them online, and I’ve always wanted to ride one.
I forgot about it earlier and just remembered now. Don’t you want to ride the Ferris wheel with me?"
Yun Zijin immediately seized the initiative.
"No! Of course I want to ride the Ferris wheel with you."
Lu Yunque was secretly overjoyed. He couldn’t believe Yun Zijin had just said the very words he’d never had the courage to say himself. It was a wonderful surprise.
The corners of Lu Yunque’s mouth curved up unconsciously. It was the pure joy of a wish being unexpectedly granted.

Yun Zijin pulled Lu Yunque over to buy tickets.
Not wanting to wait, they bought VIP tickets and could get on right away without standing in line.

For the Ferris wheel, Zero One and the seven others didn’t buy tickets to follow them. Instead, they each found a spot to wait below for Yun Zijin and Lu Yunque to come down from the ride.
Led by an employee, the two of them quickly boarded and stepped into one of the Ferris wheel’s cabins.
When they first got inside, the Ferris wheel hadn’t started moving yet, as other people still needed to board.
Lu Yunque deliberately sat down right beside Yun Zijin, not letting go of her hand.
Although his moves were subtle, Yun Zijin had noticed them all. She just chose to indulge him.
"It’s starting."
They had only been sitting in the cabin for a moment when the Ferris wheel began to move.
Lu Yunque nervously tightened his grip, and Yun Zijin, feeling the movement, turned to look at him.
"Are you nervous?"
"Not at all."
’If his eyes weren’t darting all over the place,’ Yun Zijin thought, ’I might have actually believed him.’
"But your hand is all sweaty."
Yun Zijin gave their intertwined hands a little shake.
Lu Yunque could only fall silent.
Yun Zijin smiled. ’Who would have thought that the legendary ruthless and decisive President Xiao Lu had such an innocent side to him.’
"We’re almost at the top."
Lu Yunque whispered softly in Yun Zijin’s ear.
His voice was so low that Yun Zijin almost didn’t catch it.
Nevertheless, Yun Zijin turned her head instinctively, about to say something.
The moment she turned, all she saw was a handsome face growing larger as it moved toward her.
Finally, Lu Yunque covered her eyes with one hand, and she felt a light touch on her lips.
It was as light as a dragonfly skimming the water’s surface; Yun Zijin almost thought she had imagined it.
After what felt like a long time, Lu Yunque finally lowered the hand covering her eyes.

’I thought that since we hadn’t even officially become a couple, Lu Yunque wouldn’t overstep his bounds like that.’
’Then again, a kiss as light as a feather doesn’t really count as overstepping.’
Lu Yunque gave Yun Zijin a small smile. "They say that lovers who kiss at the very top of a Ferris wheel will be together forever."
"But we’re not a couple yet. Are you sure that works?"
Yun Zijin’s words were like a bucket of cold water dumped on Lu Yunque.
"You don’t think we’re a couple, Zijin? I thought it was already an unspoken understanding between us."
Lu Yunque’s tone was aggrieved, and his gaze held a hint of accusation.
"That’s not how it works. You have to ask me out properly first."
’Even though she felt their time together lately was no different from that of a couple, a relationship still needed to be clearly and officially confirmed.’

Lu Yunque held onto Yun Zijin, not letting her pull away.

Just then, the Ferris wheel reached the end of its circuit.
Yun Zijin was about to get off, but Lu Yunque spoke directly to the operator. "We’re going again." He then scanned the QR code and bought two more VIP tickets.
Yun Zijin was speechless.
’I never expected Lu Yunque to be so childish.’
"You said we weren’t a couple just now, so that kiss didn’t count.
Once you agree, we’ll be a couple."
Then they could kiss again at the top, and they would be together forever.
"Why are you suddenly being so childish today?"
Yun Zijin never imagined that her simple attempt to help Lu Yunque fulfill a small dream would end up like this.
"So, will you say yes or not?"
Lu Yunque looked as if he was about to throw a tantrum if she didn’t agree.
"Yes, yes, I’ll say yes, alright?"
’She was genuinely afraid he would make a scene. If he really threw a fit, she would be the one dying of social embarrassment.’

Lu Yunque buried his face in the crook of Yun Zijin’s neck, holding her as if she were his entire world.
Yun Zijin froze for a second before raising her hand to pat Lu Yunque on the back.
’She hadn’t expected it either. They had known each other for so long, but only today had they made it official.’
When the Ferris wheel reached the top again, Lu Yunque once more covered Yun Zijin’s eyes. But this time, it was no mere peck.
Now that their relationship was official, Lu Yunque was clearly much bolder.
After a long while, Lu Yunque finally released Yun Zijin.
Finally free, Yun Zijin shot Lu Yunque a fierce glare.
"You’re too brazen!"
’He’s like a puppy!’
"It was my first time kissing my girlfriend. I couldn’t hold back. I’ll be more careful next time."
Yun Zijin glared at him again. "Have fun by yourself. I’m going home."
Lu Yunque quickly followed after her. His girlfriend was going home; of course he had to escort her personally.
"Zero One! We’re going home!"
After getting off the Ferris wheel, Yun Zijin headed straight in Zero One’s direction.
Lu Yunque followed behind her, a doting look on his face.
Zero One could clearly sense that the atmosphere between the Young Miss and this Mr. Lu was different from before.
Mr. Lu’s expression was just a little too blissful.
