"We... we’ll just take a picture of the color and find a similar shade in a store."

’Custom-made? Was it that they didn’t want to? They just didn’t have the money!’

’They had to scrimp and save for ages just to buy one Dior lipstick; custom-made was completely out of the question!’

"That works too."

Yun Zijin opened the lipstick tube and let them take a picture of the color.

She didn’t worry about the potential color distortion from a phone picture.

Lu Yunque waited quietly by the side, showing no intention of interrupting the three girls’ conversation.

"Thank you, miss!"

"You and your boyfriend are a perfect match! You’re the best-looking couple I’ve ever seen!"

The two girls had gotten the information on the lipstick color. Although the final answer wasn’t quite what they’d hoped for, they still gave Yun Zijin a sweet goodbye.

They even finished with a compliment about how well Yun Zijin and Lu Yunque looked together.

Lu Yunque gave the girl who said it an appreciative look.

The girl was a bit overwhelmed by the attention, but internally she was screaming: ’AHHHH!! I’m so here for this ship!’

However, they felt it would be awkward to keep following Yun Zijin and Lu Yunque, so they tactfully left after getting the info on the lipstick.

Watching their energetic figures retreat, Yun Zijin smiled.

"They’re pretty cute."

"She said we were the best-looking couple she’d ever seen."

Lu Yunque looked at Yun Zijin expectantly.

"Mm-hm, and what about it?"

Yun Zijin looked at Lu Yunque teasingly. Of course she knew what he wanted her to say, but she just wanted to mess with him a little.

"You didn’t deny it."

Yun Zijin raised an eyebrow. ’Love-struck people really fixate on the details, huh.’

"Oh, really? Should I run after them and explain, then? After all, we’re..."

Lu Yunque immediately shot her a look, one that promised he’d throw a tantrum if she said another word.

"Why do I get the feeling you’ve got a bit of that ’submissive wife’ trope going on?"

For some reason, that thought had just popped into Yun Zijin’s head.

"What did you say?"

Lu Yunque didn’t quite understand the "submissive wife trope," but just hearing the term, he knew it wasn’t a compliment.

"Nothing! I didn’t say anything. Your ice cream is going to melt if you don’t eat it."

Yun Zijin’s eyes landed on the ice cream in Lu Yunque’s hand, and she abruptly changed the subject.

Fortunately, Lu Yunque didn’t press the issue. He finished his ice cream in a few quick bites.

"What else do you want to do? Since we have time today, why don’t we try everything?"

Lu Yunque looked at Yun Zijin.

"The drop tower? A rollercoaster? Or the glass skywalk? Are you afraid of heights?"

Yun Zijin had never tried them herself, so she wanted to experience everything, but she still considered Lu Yunque.

If he had a fear of heights, Yun Zijin was fine with considering some less thrilling attractions.

"It’s fine. I’ll go on whatever you want to ride."

Of course Lu Yunque didn’t have a fear of heights. Otherwise, he wouldn’t go rock climbing from time to time.

"Then... how about the haunted house first?"

’So all that talk before was just a test?’ Lu Yunque thought.

"If you’re not scared, then I’m game for anything."

"Me... what do I have to be scared of? Don’t tell me you’re the scaredy-cat?"

Yun Zijin stood up and started walking toward the haunted house as she spoke.

Lu Yunque said nothing. He just wanted to see if a certain stubborn girl would really be as fearless as she claimed once they were inside.

"Talk is cheap. We’ll see who’s tough in the haunted house."

Lu Yunque took Yun Zijin’s hand and strode forward, getting closer and closer to the haunted house.

Yun Zijin rubbed her nose behind him. ’I was just trying to act tough, so how did it turn into us actually going to the haunted house?’

By the time Yun Zijin snapped out of it, Lu Yunque had already bought the tickets and was waiting to enter.

"Um..."

"Hm? You don’t like the wedding theme? I can switch it to the hospital? Or the school? Or..."

With every word, Lu Yunque was dancing in her personal minefield.

Those three were clearly the most classic, and also the most terrifying, of all the themes.

’What on earth is Lu Yunque thinking!’

"I... I don’t..."

Before Yun Zijin could finish, it was their turn to go in. She unconsciously tightened her grip on Lu Yunque’s hand.

It was pitch-black inside the haunted house. Yun Zijin couldn’t see a thing, and her grip on Lu Yunque’s hand was so tight her knuckles were turning white, a testament to the force she was using.

"Lu... Lu Yunque..."

"Yeah, I’m here."

Lu Yunque stood beside Yun Zijin, letting her squeeze his hand. Sensing she was genuinely afraid, he answered in a soft voice.

Once her eyes adjusted to the darkness, Yun Zijin could vaguely make out what was in front of her: a traditional Chinese wedding hall.

Yun Zijin instantly shivered and switched from holding Lu Yunque’s hand to clinging to his arm.

"You... you lead me through."

Sister Yun’s life rule: Know when to be a coward.

Just then, a procession emerged from both sides, carrying a sedan chair, led by a groom on a tall horse.

’This... isn’t this a little too realistic?’

The groom and the wedding party arrived outside the hall. The groom dismounted and turned to receive the bride.

Maybe it was just her imagination, but Yun Zijin felt like the groom had glanced at her.

At that moment, the lights in the entire scene went out. Yun Zijin dove directly into Lu Yunque’s arms, her nerves so frayed she didn’t dare make a sound.

Lu Yunque held Yun Zijin in his embrace. "Don’t be scared. It’s all fake."

Yun Zijin kept her eyes shut, but she soon felt the surrounding lights brighten again.

Yun Zijin slowly opened her eyes and lifted her head from Lu Yunque’s chest.

But unexpectedly, she was met with a pair of staring eyes. Yun Zijin squeezed her eyes shut again and basically hung herself off Lu Yunque.

"Just... just walk straight out, I’m done!"

Yun Zijin’s voice was tinged with a sob; she sounded genuinely terrified.

Lu Yunque patted her on the back to soothe her. "Don’t be scared, I’m here."

NPC: ’I seriously can’t take this public display of affection!’

He had originally planned to hit them with the ultimate scare, but upon sensing the aura Lu Yunque was emitting, he suddenly lost his nerve.

In the end, the NPC vanished without a trace, and Lu Yunque, holding Yun Zijin, walked smoothly from the haunted house straight to another exit.

The entire way, Yun Zijin hid in Lu Yunque’s arms, not even daring to open her eyes.

"Okay, we’re out now."

He had originally wanted to use the haunted house to bring them closer, but seeing how scared Yun Zijin was, Lu Yunque ultimately gave up on the idea.

He had emitted a chilling pressure the whole time, scaring the NPCs into hiding, which probably set a record for the fastest and easiest clear of a haunted house in history.

Hearing Lu Yunque’s voice, Yun Zijin slowly opened her eyes. When she felt the sunlight outside, she let out a huge sigh of relief.

The next second, she realized the position she was in with Lu Yunque, and her face instantly flushed red.

She quickly scrambled off him. "I..."

"You didn’t like the haunted house. Should we go do something else?"

Knowing Yun Zijin was embarrassed, Lu Yunque didn’t mention her clinging to him and instead quickly changed the subject.

"Let’s... let’s go to the water park over there."
