Ring Ring

21 Knight

Roche didn't come back to the store for two nights, but Shiori couldn't tell how serious it was.

Roche is an adult man past thirty. It's not the same as not having a child back. Still, if this was Japan, Shiori would have notified the police once...

(Like staying at someone's place?

I thought best of that possibility. For example, a woman's house or a friend's house.

"Hmmm......"

Regardless of which possibility, there is something that is somewhat unclear. Roche seemed hot, but there was no sign he had a particular lover, and I don't think he has a refreshingly intermittent figure called 'Friend'.

Besides, whoever stays, given Roche's surprisingly detailed personality, you should always tell Shiori that you're staying out at that time and say something like, "Lock it up properly." It's hard to think of staying out without permission for two nights all of a sudden.

When this happens, you should also consider the possibility that Roche is in some kind of trouble.

Yesterday I was in the store all the time and even waited for him to come back, Shiori, but today I decided to go outside and search for him.

I am restless due to chest noise. Shiori locked the shop softly.

Roche is a careful and discreet man, but he worries about being properly safe.

He weaved a thick shawl and headed outside to make the store temporarily closed and search for Roche.

A cold, dry breeze leaves the alley. Shiori shrugged her neck in the cold, looking around the store for now. I was worried that he might be down somewhere.

Roche doesn't fool around like he's swallowed by alcohol, and he doesn't drink like he's drunk. So I don't think you'll lose consciousness on your way home drunk, but for once.

The season has progressed all at once in the last few days, so if you lost consciousness on the road, you could freeze to death.

To an unpleasant imagination, Shiori shook her body all the way.

He wasn't very conscious, but he relied more on Roche than he thought. That's what Shiori thought.

If I can't find Roche like this, I don't know what to do now. What about the store? What about the job? It's been two months since Shiori came to this world. I still can't do it alone.

Of course, the most worrying thing is Roche's cheap or not, but between worrying about it, I also think about myself and my work.

Like a lost child, I couldn't wait to be anxious and careful.

After checking around the store, I headed towards the boulevard and went around the store where Roche was going. A tavern with a calm atmosphere, a small tobacco shop, or a store purchasing rare herbs from a foreign country......

But there was no Roche anywhere, and none of the shopkeepers knew where he was.

We searched around the city all day, but in the end Shiori couldn't even get a clue to find Roche.

"Really, where have you been..."

I shrugged at twilight. The colour of the sunset illuminating the city in red is somewhat creepy, and the poetry weave makes me feel agitated.

Something like "The Mindness of Being in a Different World," which I had not felt at all lately, was now tightly attached to my body, darkening and weighing my feelings.

It's hard not to have someone you can talk to at a time like this - a parent, friend or police who listens to you with the same values as Shiori. Shiori thought so for the first time in this world and gently remembered homesickness.

There are people in this city where Shiori became close, such as the bakery woman and the fruit shop son. But I talked to them about Roche, and I just laughed, "I'm sure I'm sneaking up on my lover's place, too."

It's not a big deal for them that a good old man is gone for two nights. "I'll be fine because I'll be back in there," he encouraged a relaxing poetry weave.

But even if they say it like that, Shiori's anxiety will not go away.

When I thought about whether there was anyone else I could talk to, there was still a crust figure on the back of Shiori's brain.

But I shake my head immediately and dismiss the proposal.

Crust is now out of the reach of Shiori. I can't easily meet a hero who marries a princess in this country and ask her to talk to him like I used to.

Shiori lay her eyelashes down sadly.

After a while I sighed, I changed my mind and thought. I seriously tried to remember what Roche said and left the store just before he went missing.

These days, Roche didn't tell Shiori where he was going, so I think he only said something about "coming out a little" that day.

"I thought it was the customer behind it."

Most of Roche's errands are that way.

Shiori frowned. If the client behind his disappearance is involved, it could be a little cumbersome. Shiori doesn't know anything about the customer behind it. I helped make ecstasy and energizers, but it was Roche's responsibility to sell them, and I have never followed them before.

Was there something like a list of customers in the back? And, Poetry Weave put his finger on his lips and thought. I've never seen it at the store, but if I fish in Roche's room, I might come out.

But even if there was a list, the customers on there should be many nobles and powerful merchants. Even if Shiori suddenly visits him, he is likely to be driven back without asking about Roche.

but when it comes to what Shiori can do now, that's all I have.

Sometimes the sun came down, and Shiori decided to go back to the store for now. Find the list of customers in the back.

Besides, maybe Roche is sneaking back. With such pale expectations.

Cross the city early at dusk, enter a narrow alley and follow the path you are accustomed to. Poetry weave stopped and solidified perfectly at the corner to the point where the store was in sight.

(The store door is open...)

The poetry weave ran out wondering if Roche was back, but I stopped again at the sound of things I heard. Stiff your body and clear your ears.

The store was hearing leaks like someone was fishing for things.

It's a little far away, so I can't peek into the store from where Shiori is. But apparently, there's more than one person moving around inside.

It's not a Roche. Shiori intuitively thought so.

"Thief...?

Whispers.

And a young man's voice reached his ear through the door of the store, which remained open.

"Hurry up. The sun sets."

It was the voice of a slightly arrogant atmosphere with horns. A voice that doesn't sound familiar to Shiori.

From time to time, he also heard the glass and the sound of it hitting him, and Poetry Weave frowned. Am I moving a bottle with medication?

"Carry him from the full box to the carriage that's keeping him waiting on the street. Damn, this is an inconvenient place."

Sigh like a man is sick of it.

"Are you taking it all?

Another man asks a question,

"Oh, everything, everything"

An arrogant voice answered.

Are you going to steal the store stuff...? A mundane rage boiled in the poetry weave as he blinked his ear.

Thieving strange men are vandalizing the store. Shiori thought the emotions that arise there should be fear. He escapes from this scene with his feet trembling with tension, confusion and fear, suppressing screams from the men to be noticed, and goes to someone for help. That should be the right thing to do as a normal woman.

But Shiori moved on to the store with anger.

I can't allow them to steal important drugs and money. That's true, of course, but I hated it more than anything about getting 'Roche's Shop' vandalized. Now that he's missing, maybe even more so.

Besides, there was a sense of responsibility that I had to protect the store instead of Roche.

A twitch and sweat seeped into the palm of my hand, and I could see the arteries behind my ears pulsing dodgy. Shiori was certainly nervous.

But I didn't have the calm to flatter myself that it was unsafe behavior. I felt my vision narrowed and my eyes stopped stitching at the entrance to the store. My legs move out on their own, carrying poetry to the unforgivable men who vandalize the store.

"What are you doing!

Were you still feeling fear inside? The sound of Shiori standing at the entrance to the store shouting inside shivered higher than usual.

"Leave the store stuff and leave!" The lips that tried to cut them so hard could no longer be moved while they were thinly open.

Shiori rounds her eyes and stares at the men who were in the store.

"Nah... why?

Thoughts have stopped at unexpected sights. I don't know what that means and I'm confused.

Bad looking men in thin dirty clothes are vandalizing the store. Shiori imagined such a scene.

But right now, I'm right in front of you--

"... Knight?

Squeeze in Japanese. Incredible, as in.

There were four men breaking into the store. Everyone wears knights' uniforms and swords. When there were four men of good stature, the narrow shops felt increasingly cramped.

Feeling their gaze, Shiori moves the eyeballs that are getting hardened to check the store.

Medicines that should have been placed on the left shelf or bundles of medicinal herbs that were hung are all packed in some crates and placed on the floor. The cabinets behind the counter and on the right were as rough as they were after being fished abusively.

Speaking of knights, Shiori recognized that he was a man in a position to carry justice. But was that a casual assumption from the impression of a gentle and brave crust?

'Cause there's no way a righteous ally could do such a thief thing.

"Who, you?

The Lord of the arrogant voice raised a frown in displeasure, and said, staring at the poetry weave.
