1 Story [Ideas Staggered]

Erindal, the largest city in the Toggle region. Due to the hot and humid climate, the boulevard overlaps the voices of merchants who speak out about the heat, presenting a vibrant look.

"What do you say? That would be a pretty good view."

The view from the terrace of the Lordship Hall in the centre of the city is quite something, as Lordship Rik Shao put it.

Perhaps it is encouraging for the ruler to see and realize with his eyes that he is vibrant in the land he governs.

"Right. By the way...... is it time for me to hear more about what happened earlier?

I take my eyes off the view that spreads beneath my eyes and switch my mind to the person next to me.

I don't know what kind of information network I found out, but Rick seems to think this one is King Richelle's use.

I do plan to bring the souvenir story of the Toggle region back to the king, but I don't remember it being used by the king in any way. Normally I get in trouble, even if they suddenly manage to help me change the empire or something.

It was on this spectacular terrace that he was proposed to change places, as there were a large number of people, including rims, between the sights.

"You've said a lot about that."

What is the outside air wrapped in the heat? It was the noticeable girl - Ray - who spoke chilly on the back with a healthy looking wheat skin.

I'm here now with Rik's sister and brother, Ray, and Mr. Cecil. The rims, who served their original purpose, are said to be returning to the inn one foot away, and are scheduled to rendezvous later.

"I don't think so, Brother Rick..."

"Don't look so worried, Ren. If you're worried that I'm gonna act like my father, you don't have to."

The look on his brother's face smiling gently at Ren, who is revealing the colour of his anxiety, is mild. I don't think it belongs to a human being that we're going to wage war.

"By the way, Mr. Sage... it's about these guys being there, and can we just keep talking with the tone broken? Honestly, I don't like being tough."

Rick snapped as he scratched his head pounding. It would be troublesome to switch between talking casually to my twin sisters and talking awe-inspiring to me. This one is easier to do.

"First I want to make sure Sage recognizes you. Can I assume you know something about how I became Lord of the Toggle Region?

I know about that. Because my twin sisters and brothers told me the whole story.

Rick's father, the former lords, was executed after the Empire found out he was preparing to fight to win independence, and Rick, the prodigal son, succeeded him.

"Then talk fast. I wasn't into politics originally, so I'm not very good at belly art."

Forgive me, and laugh, Rick.

"So I want a candid opinion. I think I've learned a little bit about what's going on in the empire on my journey so far. How was it?

What's going on within the Empire......? It is a form that has crossed imperial territory by the time it came to Toggle territory, but it was' terrible ', if expressed in a word.

Like Tiamo, lord of Amorphas, perhaps a land ruled by a good lord is good.

But I would say that many cities had two major problems.

One is discrimination against subpeople.

Another is the disparity between the wealthy and the poor.

I heard about Krikeanism, which is responsible for discriminating against the subpeople from Len. Given the religious context that permeated the people, it would not be a problem to be solved overnight.

As for the inequality between the rich and the poor, I had a chance to get a glimpse of what was going on in Slam Street, but I was so shocked that I left a little dinner that night. So much so that I wondered if there would ever be such a difference between people living in the same city.

By the way, Mr. Cecil flattened me beautifully for the dinner I left.

"Exactly. Sometimes there's not so much Crikeia pervasive here in Toggle region, and less discrimination against subpeople... I hate that kind of racial discrimination."

"Asians or humans, but it was Brother Rick's creed that cute women would be welcome!

"... Ren. Don't give me water."

"And yet, isn't it kind of paradoxical to buy and fish for subhuman female slaves? I think it's worse than discrimination to force people to do it with money."

Rick sighed a small "ha" at Ray's verbal attack, his sister.

"I'm buying subhuman slaves because that's not what I'm trying to do. He said he could procure it himself."

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Didn't you turn a lot of men against the enemy? Would you rather I turn to the enemy, too?

"Heh, so you can swear you haven't had a single hand in the slaves you've bought before?

………………

Hey! Why are you shutting up! You can just stick your chest out there and swear!

"So why are you buying slaves?... it's just women too"

Leaving Ray to ask questions seemed out of the way, so I let him throw the question I went into.

"As you said, Sage, one of the problems in the Empire is subhumanism. So I tried to create a village where subhumans and humans coexist on a trial basis in Toggle territory. I have freed the slaves I bought and have them live there. This is a good guide."

What the hell!?

"The butler Regal made a lot of noise when he initially tried to use the personal belongings left in the hall to cover the cost of buying slaves, but it's been quieter lately."

Rick nods, "Have you finally understood," but when I think of Mr. Regal's face, which seems serious, it would mean I can observe the struggle.

"Then you shouldn't have had to do a troublesome imitation of freeing the slaves you bought and letting them live in villages, creating villages where subhumans and humans live hand in hand, or advertising them alot?

To this simple question, Rick shakes his head in silence.

"That's a little impossible. Once the Lords officially announce that they will reach out to the Subhumans for salvation, they will turn their attention to the Crikeia Church. Or... if you do poorly, a devout believer could start a riot"

If they take it for granted to discriminate, being told 'it's not good to discriminate' directly from the front is like being denied your way of life.

"That's why we need the process of getting tired of the subhuman slaves of women bought by the Lord's Taoism, used up and dumped."

He said that as a lord, I don't treat subhumans special.

There's nothing wrong with abandoned slaves living hard in the village.

"But then all the subpeople who live in the village will be women... only the women who bought them, right?

"I'm not forbidding another Asian man from trying to live in that village. Strange, men are growing in population on their own."

What do you mean?

"I'm not proud of it, but I bought it from a selection of beautiful places. Men are simple."

"I know, Oyla knows how that feels!

"Saitai."

"Hmm. I guess I agree with Ray here, too"

Ren, Ray, and Mr. Cecil react to each other.

To be judged on the outside, the women expose their discomfort.

I mean, if a beautiful sub-woman lived there, the simple men would come together on their own?

Long live the guest panda.

Ren seems to be getting a glance of blame for being so intensely in tune with it. Well, I don't think even men are that simple. After all, human beings will be important in their contents.

"Ku...... Sai knows what it's like to be an oila!? I came all the way here after Lim!

Oh, seriously (seriously) or this guy.

Do you speak up in this place? Really? Thank you so much.

"Ah... after all, without the present"

You must have thought it tasted bad after you mouthed it. Ren closed her lips with a single letter.

"Ren, you really have something to say. Will you listen to me?

"Hey, why should I? Ouilla's nothing - Ilabhu!

Zung! and the feeling transmitted to the fist is the impact of punching through the human body correctly.

"Shh, Se, lately... I'm starting to look like my sister Ray... right? Gahoo."

I added or subtracted it to the extent that my ribs can't be broken, but it may be about cracked. I've come to understand a bit lately why Ray often talks to his brother in physical language.

Sometimes I don't know if I have to hit him. I'm being forced to hit you.

"- Well, my brother's recovered too, shall we continue the conversation?"

When Ren recovered enough to stand, Rick said the words.

"I've been doing a lot of things on an experimental basis... but it's not like I can fix this right away. Well, the inequality between rich and poor is obvious."

Well, if there was something like a hand that could solve the problems the country has right away, someone would have already done it.

"The inequality between the rich and the poor arises because if we plunge into the roots, some humans will monopolize wealth and save it."

Extreme theory, but I don't think it's wrong.

"Of course, I'm not going to deny the wealth that talented people have worked harder to build than others. The problem is that some greedy powerful people take away profits from people who work in tunnels."

"... Hmm. Brother Rick, who was playing around, said something very good."

"Ray, just let me put you up on the shelf about me for a second."

Rick, broken hip of the story, sighs and continues the words.

"Though Toggle is still blessed with the climate, there are many villages within the Empire that work powdered themselves, but where overwintering with heavy taxes only leaves some accumulation at last. Lord Permia and others in the colder northern region make the autonomous tax as low as possible, but there are limits nonetheless. We need to pay the prescribed amount to the Imperial City."

How much is a heavy tax? About seven dukes and three citizens? No, no, I guess there 'll be a riot if they take exactly 70% of it in taxes. There's no reason to work even though you can't live, is there?

... Oh, so you're going to Slam Street after you quit your job and were on your way. Convinced.

"Is that the situation going on forever?

"It can be said that the situation has further deteriorated since Lord Mihasa was reigned emperor and his minister Gilbaran began to divide most of his affairs"

Mihasami Hasa...... er, but according to Ren's story, is that the girl who took over as emperor fifteen years ago at the age of one? People like the minister Gilbaran are the first to hear of it, but the smell of the puppet regime pumps even when interpreted fairly well.

... It's time to let it be clear.

"I understand the general story. But I don't know what you, Lord of Toggle, meant by sending such a letter to King Richelle."

This one is eighteen years old healthy (?) A teenager. I don't think I can beat the elderly with my belly searching.

He laughed that he wanted forgiveness because he didn't like abdominal arts, which may already be one of them.

It would be fortunate for this place to honestly pass on the information obtained from the other person straight to the king. I'd be surprised if you wanted me to help you rebel against the puppet regime.

"Don't be so vigilant. It's true you want to get closer."

"For what reason?

To my inquiry, Rick just walked around a little and opened his mouth.

"In short, I want you to speak of Sir Felt, a leading aristocrat in the western Empire."

Oral......?

"Just mourning the status quo doesn't make things any better. Cooperate with the leading lords of the provinces to petition His Majesty the Emperor and His Majesty the Minister. Isn't that just too much? Holy shit. Lord Permia in the north is on board, and Lord Licen in the east is showing signs that he's going to break into my persuasion. Lord Ludwar of the South and Lord Felt of the West... from now on."

Is that what you mean? It's a great spirit to start with a discussion, but won't you be punished for your opinion by the Emperor?

"You won't be able to ignore the opinions from the leading lords of East, West and North. Sir Ludwar is a stubborn, stubborn man with a head, but he still seems to have his hands on offense. But Sir Felt is the kind of person who only moves if he gains a definite profit. King Richelle, who has been dating Lord Felt for years across the border called the Rabe Mountains, thought he'd be better treated."

I mean, do you want me to help you convince Sir Felt that you're having trouble handling him after you get closer?

Hmm. I think I've got the general image.

Though I have no idea what kind of action that ruinous king will take.

"... I understand the story. It's time for me to excuse myself."

"Are you going now? I'll have dinner ready."

Rick says that to me when he says he's going home abruptly.

"I'll tell you because I seem to be mistaken, I'm an adventurer, not a king's use or anything. There's no reason for the lord to treat you to dinner."

Originally, Rim walked into the Lordship Hall worried, but he didn't plan on talking about going this far. Too much for a souvenir story.

"Right...... ok. What about Ray and Ren?

What does that do with the way you shake yourself in the future? It would be a question that included what it meant.

"I can't live in Erindal anymore, and I've already said hello to Brother Rik, so I guess Oyla will decide to travel with Se a little more"

"The eagle agrees with Ren... but I need to ask Brother Rik something. I'm sorry, can the Sages go back to the inn first?

With his hands flickering, Ray stares at this one with a rare and serene look.

"... I don't know what it is, but you really need to stop blade scratching shack or something. Especially while we're in town."

But Ray shouldn't have had very good feelings for his own brother.

"Why would that happen!? It's nothing. I wouldn't have looked like that right now!

"No, it feels calm not always the other way around"

"Ko...... whoa!

"Stay calm, Sister Ray."

Ren broke between them and arbitrated for me so that I could fool Ray, who held my fist.

In the end, me and Cecil would go back to the inn first, and only our twin sisters and brothers would stay and have a little talk with Rick.

Mm-hmm. It would hurt your ribs, but it's nice to see you work hard!

◆ ◆ ◆

Ray turned again to his own brother as he saw Sage go home with Cecil as he looked back worried several times.

"- You've changed a lot. Brother Rick."

"When you can compare it to me back then, you naturally think so. Anyway, he's like a man who lived to chase a woman's ass. Still... you've really grown up. If I hadn't known you were my sister, I would have spoken."

Yeah, nodding, Rick is happy with his own sister's growth.

"Uh, I really feel bad about that, so stop? I'm about to pull out my knife."

Ray's fingertips, stretched behind his hips, played a metal sound called Chari.

"So, but... Brother Rick has really done a fine job, hasn't he? I've never known you trying so hard to change this empire."

Ren pinches his mouth as if to wash away the disturbing air.

"What do you think? I'll eat up my personal belongings and buy slaves, I won't fly around the place on my own and barely come home, so I just got a novel from Deacon Regal before. Difficult paperwork is being put together by people from my father's generation, and I don't have enough time to look at important things. I am proud to say that the time spent warming up chairs in the Lordship Hall is no different than it used to be."

"That's not what you say with a grand chest."

Ray, who leaked his voice as if he were frightened, sends a harsh gaze at Rik.

(... but you need to change your perception)

This man in front of you is not just a fool.

In his father's place, he had no particular interaction with Sir Permia, Sir Licen, etc. If the earlier story were true, Rick would have deepened his intimacy since he became a lord. He was good at chasing women, but light footwork seems to survive even if the other person is not a woman.

"So, didn't you want to ask me something?

"... you're so clean. We're running out of time, so let's just go straight in."

"Hey!? Sister Ray, are you seriously suspicious?

My brother Ren, who sensed swordswallowing air, looks worried, but that's not what Ray found out.

"He's the one who snitched on the Imperial side about the rebellion his father was planning, isn't he, Brother Rick?

Even if suddenly you are stared at with suspicious eyes, you don't see as much upset as Rik does.

"Is that what you mean? It makes sense, it's killing me like that. I hear he endured tough training ahead of the conscript. It must be easy for you to kill me right now."

"Don't get me out of the way"

"I'm afraid I'm not up to expectations, but that's not true. I, the son of my executed father, would soon succeed him as a lord because he didn't even think he was willing to start a revolt. As you can see, all I can do is work with everyone and petition them to lighten taxes. I don't have the courage to sue you for force like my father."

Rick uttered a word of denial without shaking in the face of Ray's intimidating gaze.

"So... what was the reason you were arguing with your father then?

"At that time?

"I stumbled across it when it was cold in the hallway the night I had a hard time sleeping in the heat. Dad and Rick are arguing in the office."

What made Rick, who was indifferent to his father, think and argue?

Information leaked to the Imperial side, and it was not long after that that that my parents were executed.

It was natural for Ray to suspect.

"... that was just one attempt to convince my dad. Isn't that enough as it is now? He kicked me out of my life."

"You betrayed that belly?

Rick exhaled loudly there, looking up at the bright blue sky with no clouds before dropping his shoulders.

"I don't know... can I trust my own brother for a little while longer? You can't do that."

"Where do you believe in my brother Rick?"

If you look at a beautiful woman, she stretches out under her nose, makes a debt to a liquor store in the city, and when she is in trouble, the prodigal son begs her father to replace her debt shoulder.

"I can't deny that, though. Either way, I'm not imitating what Ray suspects. You can swear in the name of Lord Rick Shao. Whatever, even good elves pull it off? You can tell if I'm lying."

If you're an elf good at reading the other person's emotions, that might be possible too. There's an elf in Ray's brain that I've seen face to face before - Illy's face floated around, but it immediately takes me to kick him out of my thoughts.

Ji, and his sister, who was not out of sight of her brother, finally loosened her expression there.

"Even the eagle can tell if the person is vomiting a lying word or not"

"... what's the verdict?

"On hold. In the meantime, I'm gonna believe you."

"Right. Then I'll be glad to have my sister believe me."

"Hmm. Bye."

Rick speaks as loudly as he did earlier on in his back, trying to turn back his heel just after he had done his errands.

"What do you say? No family tonight, no meals."

"I won't be shy. We'll be worried about each other eating with families who haven't seen each other in over a decade."

Ray had a loving laugh at such an invitation and politely declined.

My brother, Ren, meets Rick after he gets lost and then follows him behind his sister.

"Hey... you remind me of the old days"

After he lost sight of the twins, Rick crushed something small as he watched the city stretch beneath his eyes.

"Long time no see... but too bad -... ya. With you..."

The sound emitted by the slight movement of the lips easily dissolved into the hustle and bustle of the city, heard from afar, which could never reach anyone's ears.
