Chapter 680: Overwhelming Stench
Upon hearing Yang Xiaojun’s words, the woman quickly put on a mask and gloves before approaching the hospital bed to remove the man’s shirt and pants.
"Oh my God! It’s this serious! The flesh is already rotten!"
A gasp of shock came from the crowd, and everyone couldn’t help but widen their eyes.
Yang Cheng frowned. Although he had already checked the situation, seeing it closely was still disgusting. The skin was extensively damaged, revealing the red flesh and green pus inside, and emitting a putrid stench.
"Ugh!"
Even though the woman was wearing a mask, she couldn’t help but gag and stepped back several steps.
Yang Cheng turned to the onlookers and kindly advised, "I suggest you all wear masks. The odor from his body is toxic, and prolonged exposure could lead to poisoning."
As soon as he said this, the crowd immediately stepped back a few steps, grabbed masks from the nurse’s station, and hastily put them on before daring to approach the ward.
Meanwhile, Yang Cheng had already begun infusing True Qi into the man’s body. Due to the man being deeply poisoned, the treatment was quite strenuous.
But he had many people to treat today, and if too much True Qi was consumed now, he wouldn’t be able to treat others afterwards.
Clearing corpse poison was quite troublesome. He couldn’t neglect other patients for one person, especially since this couple had brought this upon themselves, too preoccupied with pleasure to notice any bodily abnormalities.
Thinking of this, Yang Cheng was not as gentle as he had been when treating Wang Rui earlier, pouring the True Qi into the man’s body in one go.
"Ah!!"
The unconscious man suddenly let out a scream and then began to thrash violently.
"Someone come and hold him down, or the wounds will get worse."
Yang Cheng turned to the medical staff in the room.
Several people immediately came forward and pinned the man’s hands and feet. Since he was already weak, he didn’t have much strength to struggle, and was easily subdued.
"Ah! Help! They’re killing me!"
"Wife, call the police, they’re trying to kill me!"
The man yelled in terror, as he had just opened his eyes and was being pinned down by a group of people, with one holding a needle that seemed intended for his execution.
"Shut up! You still have the nerve to call for your wife? If you hadn’t been fooling around outside, would it have gotten this bad?"
Yang Cheng impatiently scolded.
The man was stunned by the rebuke and was about to speak when the woman beside him rushed over and gave him a firm slap, shouting angrily, "I’ve found the only doctor who can treat this virus for you. If you still want to live, tough it out. If not, I’ll sign off and give up now!"
With that slap, she burst the swollen pus-filled bump on the man’s face, and the disgusting pus oozed out, emitting a foul stench.
The man’s face twisted in agony as he screamed furiously, "Xiao Yaqin! How dare you hit me! Believe me, I’ll kill you!"
"Bring it on! Since you don’t appreciate it, why bother treating you?"
Xiao Yaqin was also simmering with anger; this cheating man dared to be so arrogant.
She turned to Yang Cheng respectfully, "Doctor, sorry for the trouble earlier. We’ll give up the treatment; please go help someone else first."
As soon as she finished speaking, the man quickly screamed, "Don’t give up! I want the treatment! Wife, I just woke up, and my mind isn’t clear. Please don’t hold it against me."
Xiao Yaqin sneered coldly, "Remember this: I’m still willing to stay here and find a doctor for treatment because of our past relationship. Once you’re discharged, we will get divorced!"
The man, fearing she would abandon treatment out of anger, could only grit his teeth and agree.
Xiao Yaqin also recorded a video for evidence before saying to Yang Cheng, "Please continue his treatment, I’ll pay for the medical expenses."
"No need for treatment fees; Mr. Kong has already covered your costs."
Yang Cheng waved it off. If it weren’t for the Kong family’s reputation, he wouldn’t bother with such people.
What’s more, if he didn’t act soon, the man’s internal organs would rot and he would eventually experience a painful death.
True Qi continued to be infused into the body. The man trembled with pain, his whole body covered in sweat mixed with the pus from rotting flesh, the smell gradually permeating the entire room.
This smell was so strong that regular masks were useless; the medical staff all donned isolation masks. They handed one to Yang Cheng, but he refused.
Wearing a mask was inconvenient for acupuncture, and besides, he had already shut off his sense of smell; inhaling some toxic gas was of no consequence to him.
The onlookers were outside the ward but, upon smelling the toxic gas, couldn’t help but gag, with some even throwing up.
"That little doctor was really right; Miss Wang’s situation was already much better, at least without the odor. The smell from this man is disgusting!"
"Sorry, I can’t help it; I need to throw up."
"Ugh... it’s too damn unbearable!"
The sound of vomiting rang continuously, and the number of onlookers dwindled.
Yang Cheng, unfazed, pierced the pustule with a Silver Needle, and the medical staff helped to treat the wound.
This man’s body was covered with too many pustules. When he took off his underwear, there were patches of red rashes and bumps in the crotch area, enough to trigger trypophobia in viewers.
Yang Cheng frowned slightly, but the doctors were adeptly handling things, so he didn’t waste time. He tossed a bottle of ointment to the attending physician, saying, "After cleaning the wounds, apply this ointment to the lesions."
"Doctor, will I have scars on my body?"
The man quickly asked, seeing the dense rashes and pustules on his body that he found repulsive.
"What do you think?"
Yang Cheng sneered coldly. The man’s body was almost covered in rashes and pustules; one bottle of Cooling Scar Cream wasn’t enough. He couldn’t give two bottles of ointment to this person, so some marks were inevitable.
"I suggest you use this ointment mainly on your face and exposed areas. As for the areas covered by clothing, just leave them."
The man was very dissatisfied and yelled, "I was poisoned in a hotel! You should be responsible and give me more ointment to clear all the scars!"
"No way! If you keep complaining, you won’t get even one bottle of ointment."
Yang Cheng was adamant, casually taking back the ointment he had just given.
"You!"
The man’s face turned livid with anger, but fearing that further argument would mean no ointment at all, which would ruin his face, he could only bite his lip and remain silent.
Yang Cheng handed the ointment back to the doctor and turned to treat the woman on the bed.
The older woman’s face immediately beamed with a smile when she saw Yang Cheng approaching and she quickly pulled back the blanket.
Because the woman’s body was slender, she didn’t have as many pustules as the man, but the patches of rashes still looked quite alarming.
