Saikyou Juzoku Tensei ~Cheat Majutsushi no Slow Life~

Three Stories: The Cause of a Fixer ② (side: Peter)

The magnificent man with green and white hair sat calmly in front of Peter and Munich.

I have a hot teacup in my hand.

After enjoying the fragrance, I put my mouth slightly on it and put the cup in the space where Peter's papers were scratched at will on the desk.

"No way, real, Julem... Count..."

Despair floats in Munich's face.

The man sitting calmly at present was the figure of Count Jurem, itself told in the Heritage Story.

It can't be just a prank, either, because we've raided Peter.

In addition, the men and servants Peter left behind at the base have at least more strength than a Class B adventurer.

You're never the one who can kick ass with the paranoia of a lunatic.

Even so, at the feet of Count Jurem, Peter's men were breathless and lying down.

Count Jurem doesn't see any signs of fatigue, rather than wounds.

"... I wonder if it's forty years old. Now what are you doing here?

"You will know. I'm here this time of year. You think it's just a coincidence?

Whether Count Jurem or not, Peter knew it.

There is nothing that could prompt Count Jurem to appear before Peter at this time but the resurrection of Kudr God, which Peter did with vigilance.

"Yes, I knew you came to hit eight. I'm sorry to hear that, thanks to your stupid advice, the eagle has finally achieved the resurrection of Kudr God! Whatever you do now, it's too late. If you want to kill me, kill me. You will soon follow the eagle. That doesn't make any difference."

Silence persists for a little while.

Count Jurem slowly sips the tea he is pouring into his teacup, nods satisfactorily and then turns his gaze back to Peter.

"I don't know anything, poor former pope. Why did I bother to warn you? Why did I leave you alone in search of Kudr God? Surely you had changed your face and your identity. But you think I wasn't able to make up for all that scattered, interfering and moving around?

"Say what..."

"I will teach the ignorant Sir Pelterre. Kudr's seal is something you could have unsealed sooner or later if you hadn't moved. Kudr wasn't just waiting for someone to solve the trial. That's just one of the conditions under which the seal can be unsealed. Naturally, the crisis in the kingdom of Dingrat doesn't necessarily mean that three crazy trials can be broken by chance. The seal of Kudr was ready to be broken even when Kudr sensed immense magic."

Count Jurem says so softly, as he normally does.

Peter opens his mouth flashly.

If that's true, it could all have been pointless to have been running for decades to force an extension of his life to unseal Kudr God.

But there can be no one who knows so much more about the conditions under which the seal of Kudr, the mythical being of distant antiquity, can be unsealed.

Peter reconsidered that it must be a hatchet.

"There's no way you know that!

"It's a stone in Kudr's bill. There's no reason not to. As a matter of fact, for this reason, the high spirits who still turn their heads are still living quietly, killing their breath, shrinking themselves, lest they ever inspire Kudr. I don't know how much magic Kudr would react from. It is for that reason that humans who do not come true of the High Spirit as a species can be rulers of the world. As in the Mythical Age, it is rather the reason of the world that mankind is a slave who glorifies the High Spirit as God. Whether he's sleeping or not, mankind has always been protected."

"Heh... heh..."

Count Jurem goes on to state, like common sense, that even Peter, the ruler behind the kingdom of Dinlat, knew nothing about it.

From Peter, I wanted to kick the crap out of Count Jurem's story and other lunatic bullshit.

But his unusual atmosphere and heritage, as well as his track record of easily destroying leading magicians he had gathered, did not allow it.

"All, if you knew...... so, why did you come in front of the eagle!? You tell me what you wanted!

"From the beginning, all I see in my eyes is Kudr. My aim is the destruction of Kudr, the patron saint of man. I've been thinking about how I can kill that one. Fortunately, he has the great disadvantage of being an artificial spirit, forcefully inherited and built, unstable being. I had to stay asleep in order to keep the immense power of instability as a deterrent to the world. So in the meantime, I was able to get ready as I please."

Earl Jurem speaks with his hands in motion with great admiration.

It was a puppet-like, purposeful, made-up move.

"I purposefully advised you that it was just one of the fabric stones to kill Kudr. If Kudr has spontaneously woken up, there is a good chance he won't be able to keep up with his movements. With me, I didn't know where Kudr would sleep, and I couldn't possibly take the time to search for him. In addition, I don't even want to decipher Kudr's scripture. For this reason, he exposed the diocese by threatening you, the pope of Kudorism, who is close to Kudor. You've worked really well for me, Sir Pelterre."

"Oh, no... Oh, it can't be, it can't be! Kudr God is not the kind of person who can be manipulated by the plan! You say things like you've never seen a Kudr god before!

Count Jurem does not take up the provocation of Peter.

I just laughed like I made a fool of myself.

"Very, very busy. I came all the way here to see you, because I wanted to thank you."

Count Jurem, saying so, takes his seat… and, at the same time, disappears with a glare.

Peter looks around in a great panic, but he is invisible.

I wondered if he'd left yet, and at the same time that thought came to mind, Peter's shoulder was quietly slapped.

I try to jump out, but they're grabbing my shoulder as it is and I can't move.

Count Julem's face approaches the tip of Peter's nose.

At that point, Count Jurem's, stern and thoughtful face breaks down.

The end of the mouth is heavily torn and distorted. Both eyes were out of focus and like ornaments.

You look like a monster.

But this one was more natural.

In his face is a reflection of the way in which he became and lived.

There is no way that the face of a monster who has not normally gotten old, has scratched the world around and continues to crush the lives of others with play and strategy belongs to a magnificent gentleman.

"Thank you, Sir Pelterre, thank you... for abandoning your identity, bending your beliefs, distorting your way of life, dyeing your hands in the outer law and asking for Kudr until you stop being human, which is why there is one more fabric stone that kills Kudr. I am so grateful from the bottom of my heart"

Peter desperately resists, but as if he were a stone statue, the Earl of Jurem is not frightened.

"Get away from Master Peter!

Munich wields his wand and removes his tip, exposing the planting blade to be slashed to the Earl of Jurem.

An obvious metal sound, echoing from the garment that hit my back.

It was a phenomenon that was too puzzling. Clothes didn't even allow a slight deformation, even if they were slapped on the blade.

When Count Jurem looked back to Munich, his face had already returned from monster to gentleman's, but Munich understood death.

"Ah, ah..."

"It's a little annoying. Be a forg."

Count Jurem points his finger at Munich's forehead.

A blue and white light lit up at my fingertips.

"Yes, no... no! Yikes!"

Munich holds his head and cries out as if he had touched his mind.

My legs tremble and I can no longer stand, collapsing on the spot.

Munich's vision is distorted by the terror that engulfs him, and his stomach fluids rise from the bottom of his belly.

She looks desperately at her arms as she roughs her breathing.

"No, no, no! I don't like that! At least, at least, I want to die a human being!

"Haha, I'm kidding. What do you say, I have a sense of humor? No matter how much I am, complex phenomena like rewriting the whole fabric of an organism cannot be handled without a sorcery ceremony"

Munich was wearing off with fear and stress and fell on the floor just like that.

"Or did you come here to harass me with pride? You're a very small man."

"No, actually, I need a favor. I feel comfortable doing every favor to the gracious Lord Pelterre, but it was just the best thing I could ask of you."

"I don't know what you're talking about...!

"Did I say I could take the four powers to the kingdom of Dinlat? That's not a lie. The Reevelas nation that's already ahead of us will be starting to see movement, won't it? You've already heard reports of clerics coming from the kingdom of the sky (Alflame) to pull out the witch Altamia. Would you also be aware that there are suspicious movements in the Kingdom of Garshard? How about the Maharoun Empire? Those five elders over there are quite old, so can they still hide them through?

Count Jurem counts with his fingers folded and grins.

"What, you powerless and incapable of anything, I hope you cry to Kudr. That's all I ask of you. From the beginning, I was prepared to turn the kingdom of Dinlat into a sea of flames at any time, just to kill Kudr. Now Kudr won't be able to go after me alone... he will continue to expose himself to great gaps and wear out. Your actions will bring Kudr one step closer to ruin."

"Ugh..."

Whatever they said, they did not intend to obey, but Peter could not help but follow the words of Count Jurem, knowing it was to drive Kudr into ruin.

If you don't cry to Kudr, the kingdom of Dinlat will be destroyed first.

"I came all the way out in front of the eagle and talked to Pepper because that's what I'm here for...!

"I'm busy, so let me be rude around here. It's your freedom to talk about how far you go and what you do. If you want to scratch my back, it would also be your hand to shut everything up to Kudr. Whatever you think, I don't think you can go beyond the convenience of pawns for me."

Earl Jurem disappeared with a laugh.

Only a Phantom's laugh lingers in a bloody wet room, echoing.

In it, the former pope, who was informed that the majority of his life had been only one of Phantom's plots, crushing and spinning his mind and body, squatted on the spot without power and cried without suppressing his voice.
