Chapter 496 Arrival of the mission (1/3)

A bright silver flight drew a white line in the blue sky that stretched to the edge of the cloud.

Carrying the future of the domestically controlled nuclear fusion industry, a 30-member mission travelled to the Maple Society. Under the cooperation agreement between the two parties, there they will receive simple training to prepare for the final takeover of the WEGA Mirror Device.

In the original plan, the ark was supposed to travel with us.

At this point, however, he did not leave immediately, but arranged the itinerary three days later.

Because experts from the Maple Society have arrived at KIMLING International Airport just as experts from this side of China set out.

The tall nose beam was as if it were enough to hold a hat and the wrinkled Germanic engineer walked down the plane's gangway carrying a suitcase with him.

At this point, he glanced at the airport building not far away, like a chatty kiss, and briefly said to his colleagues next to him.

“There's been a big change here. ”

Walking next to him, the redhead engineer, who looked slightly younger, picked the eyebrows.

“Have you been here before? ”

“Ten years ago,” he said, flipping his wallet, rubbing his index finger against a photograph clipped inside, a slightly older engineer casually, "If you live in Berlin, there may not be any noticeable change in ten years, but you can see different places here every year. ”

“Berlin? There's still a change. ”

“Oh?”

“Since our total... After Ms. Lee put in those headscarves, we saw something new every day in the Frankfurt Report. ”

The old engineer shook his head with a smile when he heard the young engineer's tune.

“Just say that in private, don't let anyone hear you. ”

“Of course I do.” Looking at the pick-up group not far away, the young engineer paused for a moment and squinted his eyes and said, "... thousands of nanometers wide wires, do you really think they can do that? ”

Instead of looking down on China's STI capabilities, after all, in terms of STI, from weakening after the mid-twentieth century to what is now Europe, there is really no look down on the capital of others.

However, STI is one thing, and the ability to move technology out of the lab is another.

In fact, the graphene nanoband technology has been able to achieve dozens of nanowidths in the laboratory since the beginning of 14 years, and even now it is able to make a "black technology” in the laboratory that is only seven carbon atoms wide, although the technology is still sealed in the laboratory to this day.

The biggest generation gap between industry and academia, I'm afraid, is here.

A century and a half ago, if a scientist discovered a novel compound, or a simple synthesis method for an important industrial ingredient, he could be overnight wealthy. But this example is quite rare to date.

More commonly, academia often produces a seemingly beautiful result, but industry takes more than a decade or even decades to digest and ultimately prove useless.

Given the success of the ship in lithium anode materials, the Hymholz Federation noted this potentially unlimited carbon-based superconducting material from the very beginning of the SG-1 material, but in assessing its industrialization potential, they eventually abandoned it for various reasons, including cost and production difficulties.

Now, however, suddenly someone has accomplished a task that, in their view, is almost impossible to accomplish, and when they learn of it, they are naturally surprised.

After all, the finishing technology of the nanoscale in China to complete this work is really not very good...

“From the samples they sent, they did. ”

“Unbelievable. ”

“Yes, incredible,” the old engineer continued, pausing for a moment, "isn't that what we're here to figure out? ”

On the other side, at the entrance to the airport VIP corridor.

Standing next to the ark, looking at the plane not far away, Yang Xu suddenly asked, “Actually, I've been meaning to ask, why did you come from the Heimholtz Federation? ”

Ark: “It's normal, you can't expect a bunch of plasma physicists to be good at materials research. ”

Yang Xu smiled and muttered: “Isn't there one here? And good at math. ”

After a slight shock, Yang Xu quickly reacted. Yang Xu said himself and shook his head with a smile.

“Not at all. ”

In the meantime, the German delegation had stepped down the gangway.

And this side of the ark, it's headed toward the gangway.

Walking in front of a pedestrian, the seemingly slightly older engineer took off his black hat and extended his right hand full of calluses to the ark.

“Hello, Professor Lu, I'm Rand Ulrich from the Materials and Energy Research Center in Heimholtzberg. This is my colleague, Simson Eugene. ”

“Ark,” he shook his hand forcefully with the German engineer, and the ark looked at him smiling unexpectedly, "Do you speak Chinese? ”

“I've worked for Jinling for two years now, and it may not be very standard, but it will be a little bit.” The old man, who looked very serious, grabbed the corner of his mouth and said in a funny way.

“Really? But it seems to me to be standard.” After smiling amicably and releasing his hand, Ark continued to introduce himself to the three people next to him, "this is Yang Xu, director of the Institute of Materialology at the Jinling Institute of Higher Studies, as well as Sun Chengwu, general manager of Baosheng Group, and Chengwei, chief engineer. ”

“On behalf of Baosheng Group, I welcome you,” he shook Ulrich's right hand and Sun Chengwu smiled. "Our group has prepared a hotel for you. Do you want to go to the hotel first to pack your bags or do you have other arrangements? ”

Ulrich said, "Can you take us to the factory? ”

Sun Chengwu stunned for a moment. Obviously, he did not expect these Germans to be in such a hurry, so he took a subconscious look at the ark.

Immediately after seeing the nod of the Ark, Sun Manager looked at Professor Ulrich and smiled with joy.

“Absolutely not. ”

The German side of the mission was small, with a total of only six people, but all leading experts in carbon nanomaterial direction research at the Heimholdsberg Materials and Energy Research Centre. After the walker boarded the pick-up and drop-off bus, Sun Manager took the initiative to sit next to the ark and couldn't help but ask.

“Are you saying these Germans are in such a hurry? ”

When he heard Manager Sun's question, Ark laughed and said.

“For example, when you went to school, what would you think if your desk had a normal exam of 780 and suddenly scored 120 points on a recent quiz? ”

Yang Xu thought for a while: “That depends on how many points? ”

“It doesn't matter how many points he makes,” the ark shook his head, "no matter how many points he makes, you're sure to wonder how he does it, or if there's cat fatigue in it. ”

Manager Sun hesitated: “You mean, they suspect we're ignoring them? ”

“This cooperation, which is of great importance, is something that people will look at," he continued. "All we have to do is prove it to them. ”
