Chapter 803: A Little Trouble

Sailing in the deep sky, the Sauvignon slowly approached the silver white "port”.

Immediately thereafter, a pair of long strips of "landing gear" stretched slowly from beneath the nose of the Xia Guang, pointing to the interfaced segment at the lower end of the station, then slowly approached the past.

Sitting in the cabin, watching the space station approaching out the starboard window, Johnson's heart almost mentioned the eyes of his voice, and his nervous palms seeped sweat.

The docking of space spacecraft has been a difficult point in space technology.

This not only tests a country's industrial camera accuracy, spacecraft material strength, engine and its control technology and other “hardware capabilities”, but also a range of software capabilities, such as computer visual measurement technology.

The requirements for spacecraft orbital altitude and speed accuracy, in particular, are even harsher, with engine ignition windows often compressed to within a second, causing docking failures every second of the day.

When the American Gemini Space Program first came out, it took almost a year to bring Gemini 6 and 7 together. However, a distance of 30 centimetres was maintained for 20 minutes, and the docking of the two spacecraft eventually did not materialize. It wasn't until the next year that Gemini 8 successfully docked with an unmanned target spacecraft that the United States really mastered the technology.

The docking of manned spacecraft, on the other hand, was not eventually achieved until the mid-1970s, when the United States and the Soviet Union “shook hands" in space.

One of the main reasons why Apollo had not chosen to launch the moon components in stages at that time, after “rendezvous” in high orbit, was because of the difficulty of docking. Large thrust rockets, by contrast, are more acceptable in terms of both risk and cost.

He knew how difficult it was for Johnson to serve in the NASA astronaut fleet much longer than Tevy and Jones.

However, just before he had reacted, the pair of "landing gears” of the Xia Guang had been inserted underneath the multi-function docking compartment of the Moon Palace.

With a slight to almost imperceptible jitter, Successfully connected the landing gear to the Summer Light, slowly pulling itself toward the station as the landing gear contracted.

Ultimately, one big, one small, two spacecraft docked together.

Then…

Then there's no more.

The entire spacecraft docking process did not make people feel any nervous, or even somewhat unacceptable.

“… WTF? ”

Looking at everything outside the starboard window, Johnson seemed like he'd never seen the world before, completely beamed there.

He was trained in NASA astronaut fleet in this area, and he knew that was not the case with spacecraft docking at all!

The correct posture for spacecraft docking in outer space should be to fly the spacecraft to the front of the station and then steer it down, waiting for the station to “catch up”.

It was unheard of for him to unleash the landing gear directly like the Xia Guang and take the initiative to fly up the station!

At this point, the signal light on the hatch was on.

As the cabin door unlocked, Tevy lifted the frame out of his room, moving his lower limbs, and then saw Johnson stranded there, unquestionably.

“Dude, what's wrong with you? ”

Johnson looked at him strangely and said.

“... Didn't you just see that? The Chinese docked with the spacecraft. ”

Faced with the captain's strange gaze, Tyvey grabbed his head with sadness and shook his head.

“I'm not sure what you're talking about. ”

Johnson sighed,

“... when I didn't ask. ”

Ask a fool such a complicated question, he must be crazy.

According to the lights, the three colonists who had returned from Mars had come to assemble in their cabins. Immediately after the alloy door in the middle of the cabin slowly opened, Liu Biao drifted in wearing the in-cabin space suit.

“The Xia Guang has successfully docked the Moon Palace Space Station, and we will be checking your physical condition in half an hour while sterilizing the ship's interior space...”

At this point, Liu Biao suddenly noticed that the white male astronaut had a ghostly look on his face and smiled and greeted him, "Are you okay? ”

“I... well,” he said. "When Johnson's throat moved slightly, he couldn't help but ask," How did you do that? ”

Liu Biao looked at him with a misty look: “How did you do that? ”

Johnson opened his mouth and didn't know where to start or how to say it.

"How did you dock with the spacecraft"?

Perhaps it was only natural for them to access the station directly, just as he understood spacecraft docking technology.

However, he still could not accept the reality that China's space technology had advanced to the point where he would feel stunned by any detail.

Looking at the friendly Chinese astronaut, Johnson smiled stiffly.

“Nothing… when I didn't ask. ”

Although it is the same sentence, at this moment he is in a completely different mood...

After connecting with the moon palace's multifunctional docking module, the three Mars colonists, led by Liu Biao, crossed the connection port and entered the airlock chamber of the multifunctional docking module.

In the absence of spacecraft docking, this is the buffer zone where stationed astronauts enter and exit the station. Astronauts working outside the cabin will change their suits, check their gear, and adapt to air pressure here...

Now, however, the airlock is used as a zero-hour checkpoint because there are spaceships connected.

“… you will wait here, you will be examined later by a professional doctor, and I will consider taking you into the Lunar Palace for a spin when I have confirmed your health. ”

Looking at Liu Biao standing at the hatch door, Johnson, who had just taken off his in-hatch space suit, asked, "What do we need to do now? ”

Liu Biao smiled and said, "Eat something, drink something, and then… the medical team from the United Nations may need you to provide a little shit. Poop and piss. Liquid.”

Jones blushed and asked, "Here? ”

“Of course not,” Liu Biao coughed softly, referring to the alloy door next to the wall, “there was a separate toilet next to it. ”

These colonizers have not been kept waiting long.

With the help of two moon palace station staff, Johnson et al. quickly completed a medical examination. Meanwhile, metabolite samples taken from the three individuals were sent to specialized laboratory compartments.

These samples were tested by Professor Leslie from the Institute of Microbiology at the Manna Health Medical Center in Switzerland and by Fellow Zhao Shuxuan from the Institute of Biomedicine at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Both scholars are bulls in biology and have published many articles in Cold Gate Branch Astrobiology. Though not the most authoritative bull, he is also a top scholar.

And most importantly, they are both under 45 years of age, relatively young and of good physical quality. Many authoritative bulls want to take advantage of this opportunity, but the age is too old to stare at the weight loss simulator of Startech.

Time goes by.

Everyone is anxiously awaiting the results of the tests, both outside and inside the experimental compartment.

At this point, Professor Leslie, sitting in front of an electron microscope, suddenly whispered, with a little surprise and ecstasy in his eyes.

“Oh, Shet...”

“What did you find?” Quickly walked to the electron microscope, Zhao Shuxuan pushed down the glasses on the nose beam, approached the computer screen, frowned, "... this? ”

“A very strange anaerobic bacterium with thick cell walls and cell membranes… and so on, let me correct it, it's Bacillus! No wonder it survived on Mars," constantly adjusting the magnification of the electron microscope, watching Professor Leslie's face get excited, "God... incredible. ”

Staring at the image on the screen, Zhao Shuxuan's eyes flashed a little excitement as well, but quickly grew back together.

“We could be in trouble. ”

Leslie smiled back and looked at Zhao Shuxuan, pushing down the glasses on the nose beam.

“In theory, yes, but exciting? Aren't you?”

Sitting quietly in the quarantine compartment, however, there has been no movement for a long time.

Just as Johnson and others began to get a little restless, the hatch door suddenly opened. Not only did the Chinese, who had brought them here earlier, walk in with a man who looked slightly more dignified beside him.

Johnson rarely remembered that he seemed to have seen this side of the ship when he was on it, and if he had guessed correctly, he was probably the captain of it.

Before he could ask what was going on, Tevy, sitting next to him, stepped forward and hurried to get up and ask.

“What happened? What exactly takes so long to get a medical exam? When can we go home...”

“Sorry, guys. ”

Raising the volume interrupted the problem of the black brother like a beaded gun. Xu Zhenghong's face was a little heavy and said with a heavy voice.

“I'm afraid we'll have to postpone our return time. ”
