Chapter 1296 Wasting Time Is Shameful

Nearby traffic is almost blocked outside the IMCRC headquarters building.

Journalists from major television stations and newspapers have almost blocked the gates, severely affecting staff entering and leaving the workplace.

Even though IMCRC security guards have blocked some of the people, a small number of journalists have mixed into the lower parking lot through various official or unofficial channels.

Just as Rowenxuan parked the car and pressed the electronic lock to get upstairs, he looked at a group of reporters carrying cameras and microphones and came up like zombies.

“… hello, I am a journalist for the Observer newspaper, may I ask Secretary-General Rowe, does the latest IMCRC study mean that warp speed sailing is possible? ”

“In theory, it is possible, and real hopes are slim. ”

“Secretary-General Luo, does this mean that the Chinese nation will soon be exploring distant galaxies? Can we step on Fairy in our lifetime? ”

“That's a good question, if you can live two centuries later, or a little longer. ”

“Secretary-General Ro -”

“Excuse me, the meeting is about to begin, but if you have any further questions, please contact the IMCRC press spokesperson, our only official accredited speaking window. ”

Striving to squeeze a raw path out of the crowd, Luo Wenxuan flashed into the lobby under the cover of the security guard of the venue.

Looking at the wooden door behind him, which had been painstakingly shut by the staff, and at the people who had been dissociated by the security guard, he took a long breath and stretched out his hand to wipe the sweat in front of his forehead.

“Looks like there's a lot of press out there for you. ”

When he heard the familiar voice, Rowenxuan looked up and saw him standing beside him with a smile on the front of the ark.

Suddenly there was a surprised look on his face, and Rowenxuan incredibly looked up and down at the ark and said strangely.

“How did you get in... I mean, you weren't stuck outside by those reporters? ”

“I naturally have my way,” the ark smiled slightly, turning around after that, “the meeting is about to begin, let's go together. ”

Although there is much to ask, there is clearly no time to ask in detail at this time.

He swallowed the problem that had already come to his voice back into his stomach. After taking two breaths, Luo Wenxuan quickly caught up with the footsteps of the ark and walked with him in the direction of the conference room...

……

The meeting of the IMCRC Council is about to begin.

While it was all about boring, odorless academic issues, the meeting rarely attracted the attention of the world because of the vast and astonishing prospects behind that trembling particle.

However, while there is a pressing need to know more, the Ark still does not allow journalists from any of the media to attend, and instead places media that have been given access through formal channels in reception centres in another building.

The official press spokesperson for the IMCRC will report back to them on the outcome of the discussions at the meeting and will respond to some of the questions.

Looking at the members already sitting at the table, the ark cleared its voice and said.

“To be brief, let's get started. ”

The laser pen in my hand pressed, and the big screen behind me presented a star map of the solar system.

The members of the Council sitting at the table were confronted with sudden changes before them and it was unclear what the Ark intended to do. Only a few people, including Luo Wenxuan, probably guessed what was happening, and he had that look on his face.

As if to corroborate the speculation of these people, the Ark continues to speak.

“Theoretical arguments have been completed, and the next part of the experiment. We need to deploy one Z particle clock in synchronous orbit and one Z particle clock in Mars orbit, and then--”

“Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. ”

Interrupting the ark, Professor Whittle, a member of the Permanent Council of the United States of America to the IMCRC and director of the Brookhaven Society of Sciences, raised his right hand and stood up with a clear expression of mistrust on his face, watching the ark continue.

“In accordance with the normal process, shouldn't we first discuss the text itself, determine it is correct, and then discuss how to design an experiment to prove it? ”

Not angry that his speech had been interrupted, the ark nodded down and landed neatly, saying, "Sure, if you have any doubts about a part of the paper, you can do it now. ”

Professor Whittle's expression on his face stagnated slightly, holding it for a while, and said, "Although I haven't noticed a problem yet, it doesn't mean anyone else thinks the same. I think we should at least...”

The Ark also looked at the conference table and continued.

“Others have questions that can also be raised. ”

The members sitting at the table met face to face, and ultimately no one stood up.

Stop asking questions.

Most of them didn't understand the paper, and some of them, even if they did, just barely understood it to that extent, which is a little better than a half-knowing solution.

“As you can see, we're wasting our time," said Professor Whittle, looking at the colorful Professor, the ark shrugged his shoulders lightly, continuing, "if we wait until the theory is universally accepted by the physics community, then we design experiments on the whole issue, waiting at least five or even more years based on past experience. ”

Professor Whittle: “What's wrong with that? ”

"The bad news is that wasting time is shameful. Either you find my mistake, or you watch quietly, and I will certainly prove that I am right. ”

Professor Whittle wanted to say something else, but he may have thought of his swollen face on the last Z particle thing, eventually holding back his belly complaining.

Looking back at Professor Whittle, the ark nodded and continued to look at the conference table.

“Anyone else have a problem? ”

“I have some questions. ”

“Go ahead. ”

“I don't like the paper... but why not the moon? Must be on Mars. ”

With permission from the Ark, Professor Fernando, a member of the Permanent Council of the United Kingdom to the IMCRC, stood up and raised his question with a hesitant expression on his face.

Yet after hearing this, the ark sighed.

“You will ask such questions, and obviously you have not even read my paper. ”

Professor Fernando blushed, explaining: “I swear I saw it, just a part of it… I haven't finished it yet. ”

In fact, there is no understanding at all.

Mathematics is not his area of expertise.

While he was also able to use the vast majority of mathematical tools to solve problems encountered in theoretical physics research, most of those tools were outdated.

Without taking care of Professor Fernando's defense, the ark stood with its hands on the conference table, stood up from the chair and turned to the whiteboard next to the conference room, picking up the marker brush next to it and writing down several lines of formula.

[L = αεαμνβγ5γμ (ν + imγν2) μβ]

……

Look at the formula on the whiteboard.

Almost all participants were unsure what the ship was trying to do.

However, just as the Ark wrote the final line of formula, several professors had a sudden look on their faces.

This includes Rowenxuan and another European physicist from CERN.

After completing the necessary board books, the ark turned to the conference table and the participants sitting at the conference table to explain.

“The Z particles themselves don't have that much energy to change the curvature of space, nor can they poke a hole in space… or more academically, get a wormhole out. ”

“But it can disturb the gravitational field. ”

Looking at the members sitting at the table, the Ark continued in a serious tone.

“This is very critical. ”

“Time and space are distorted by gravitational interference and unevenly distributed around us. Changing the gravitational field is tantamount to indirectly changing the curvature of time and space. ”

“Imagine if we were now going to travel at warp speeds in light-years, how could we level the universe for a few light-years? It's obviously not possible, but--”

As he spoke, the ark held the marker pen in his hand and gently tapped the white board.

“But we can use the gravity of a star - or in other words, the gravitational bond between a star system and a star system, using the gravitationally distorted space-time between a star system and a star system! Then find a path closest to the finish line to complete your light-year voyage! ”

“Of course, if it's just an experiment, we don't have to send the probe to a neighboring star a few light years away to do it, and we can do it in the solar system alone. ”

“For example, with gravitational bonds between planets, we open a hyperspace channel between planets, what we call a shortcut. ”

After a pause, the ark continued.

“To be honest, that's why we have to send the experimental equipment to Mars. ”

“Planetary-grade gravity is the threshold. ”

“The mass of the Moon is only one eighty-first of the Earth, and while distance is an advantage, it is difficult, according to calculations, to form a stable hyperspace channel. ”

“Jupiter is a more appropriate option in theory, but it's too far away, and the asteroid belt in the middle is a hassle. ”

“Mars, with a mass of 14 per cent of the Earth, is the best option, taking into account a combination of factors. ”

“Any other questions? ”

Professor Fernando hesitated for a while and shook his head and sat back. Professor Whittle, sitting in the chair, swallowed his mouth and opened his mouth to say what he wanted, but ultimately didn't say it.

It's just this feeling of being taught a lesson that makes him so unhappy...

“Nobody seems to have a problem with that. ”

Satisfied with the efficiency of the meeting, the Ark turned a page of the parliamentary documents in hand and cleared its voice to continue.

“Next we will discuss the structure of the Z particle clock. ”

“and how to do it. ”
