Chapter 1523 Password Breaking

In the deep air, a small carrier slowly approached the temporary space harbour over Valley Spirit.

As a shuttle slowly descended, two experts in space suits stepped out of the landing station, escorted by a group of soldiers in exoskeleton armor.

“Welcome to Gu Shen Xing, I am Yang Wu, General Counsellor of Pan-Asian First Fleet. ”

“Nice to meet you. ”

The middle-aged man in front of him shook his hand and Wang Sicheng, a gardener of horny white, approached the general advisor amicably.

As an active professor at the Faculty of Information Engineering at Jinling University and a member of the Pan-Asian Academy of Sciences, Academician Wang has considerable research results and academic standing in the field of quantum computer and information security technology.

Upon learning of the discovery of an array of quantum computers from a suspected extraterrestrial civilization on Valley Spirit, the Pan-Asian Academy of Sciences sent him an invitation to assist the Pan-Asian First Fleet on behalf of the Academy of Sciences to investigate the origin of the computer and figure out exactly what that thing was calculating.

“It is inconceivable… that someone would build a base in such a place.” After releasing his hand, Master Wang Sicheng glanced at the neighborhood and an incredible surprise appeared in his eyes.

As can be seen from the craters and obsolete mechanical parts of the ground, there was a war here earlier.

Clearly, not only is the base itself quite large, but the size of the defence installations deployed here is equally immense.

Otherwise, the First Fleet will never be so fiercely fired that it will fall to the surface of this asteroid.

Yang Wu: “It's even harder to imagine that there's still a quantum computer array inside that seems to be the largest in the solar system… Whose masterpiece do you think this would be? ”

Wang Sicheng: “I don't know, a lot of things are known only after research. ”

Yang Wu: “Just hypothetical. ”

Upon hearing this, Professor Wang Sicheng was silent for a while and spoke.

“If it's just a hypothesis, I vote for a civilization outside the country. ”

“Extraterrestrial civilization… reminds me of the PFI that broke apart more than half a century ago. ”

Yang Wu's eyes were stained with a hint of memories.

Probably the first attempt by human civilization, fuelled by external pressures, to seek global political union, although it ended in failure, provided a good inspiration for the subsequent emergence of regional alliances.

If UFMO were to become a month-long system-wide community of destiny, the regional alliances of Trans-Asian Cooperation, the North American Alliance, the North Sea Alliance and the Ibero-French Alliance would presumably be a small community of destiny based on specific regions.

And how did the League disappear?

That's a long story.

But let him sum up by his own understanding, presumably with the collapse of the gates of Hell and the retreat of the expedition, all the clues about extraterrestrial civilization were interrupted, and the related controversy gradually withdrew from people's horizons over time and returned to the realm of academia.

The People's Union, established to confront extraterrestrial civilizations, naturally loses its meaning...

“Do you think if this computer is really an outpost of extraterrestrial civilization - or something like that - is it possible for the PFI to re-establish itself? ”

“It's hard," Yang Wu shook his head, "100 years ago our strongest starship was the Xia Guang, put it to this day, I'm afraid it's no better than a ship carrier on the Tarzan. ”

Wang Sicheng asked casually: “Why is it so powerful that it is impossible? ”

Looking at the bitter battlefield not far away, Yang Wu continued, "Because now, even in the face of foreign civilization, we have not tried the possibility of fighting one. ”

……

The exact location is deep in the valley, where a pedestrian crossed the military checkpoint and quickly entered the base.

Looking at the bullet hole left in the corridor, Master Wang Sicheng smashed his tongue and followed Yang Wu and the third track airborne brigade leader, Li Gaoliang, to the computer room.

Looking at the crowd coming this way, he stood at the front door of the computer room with a slight glimmer of eyes and immediately greeted him with a smile.

“Lady Wang, you're finally here! ”

“Who are you? ”

“By the side of the sentence, Agent Security, is responsible for investigating the incident. Here's my card.” Captain Xing skilfully removed a translucent holographic card and gently pushed it in front of him.

Master Wang Sicheng frowned and looked at the holographic card. After a moment of hesitation, he accepted it.

It is not because of any negative perception of the captain, but simply because the normal people and the people of this “secret service" are dealing with each other, more or less, a little disturbed.

“I have read about what has happened here in my report, and I need more specific information to facilitate further investigations. ”

Side of the sentence: “Everything we know has been written in that report, and I'm sure you've seen it, and as for the rest… I'm sorry, we don't know much either. ”

Looking at Captain Xing, it didn't look like he was lying to himself, and Master Wang didn't say anything anymore. He nodded his head at the students who came here with him and walked into the computer room.

“Incredible…” he glanced around the computer room and was shocked by the scene in front of him. Wang Academician was a little faint, but soon he regained his composure and told his students, "Prepare to intercept the data, let's see what it really counts. ”

“Good teacher. ”

The student lit his head and walked forward with a suitcase, unlocking the lock in front of one of the chassis.

He then removed a round metal button from it, placed it on the chassis and grabbed it on the chassis shell for a while like a stethoscope.

It wasn't until the electronic screen in his suitcase lit up the icon for successful access that he stopped, left the metal button in place, and then operated on the laptop-like suitcase.

“Successful data access… 87 per cent use of computing resources, and this overrun is really not an easy process. ”

Looking at his students, Master Wang frowned and said, "Can you access the programs running in the computer? ”

“I try… no,” the student continued in a difficult tone, "this over-encrypted program is completely unreadable unless you get administrator privileges. ”

“Let me try. ”

Ask your students to step aside, Master Wang walks up to them and punches them with a dazzling line of code on a mechanical keyboard that is too old for this era.

However, this array of quantum computers, which occupies the entire underground space, as if they had not been seen at all, completely ignored his series of operations and still locked himself in the chassis in a tightly guarded manner.

Watching Master Wang stop the action, Captain Xing immediately couldn't wait to ask the floor.

“How's it going? Any progress? ”

“No,” he shook his head, "this extraordinary security system is very strong, at least I don't see any obvious vulnerabilities... for now, there is only one way to crack the secret. ”

Yang Wu frowned and thought for a moment.

“What way? ”

“The security key,” said Master Wang, pointing to the laptop in his hand, continuing towards the blinking dialog box, "is simply the administrator's password, which cannot be hacked in any other way unless we know it. ”

“Violent cracking?” Yang Wu frowned and said, "Look at the length of the password… If you use the poor method, the amount of work shouldn't be huge, right? ”

“After three typing errors, the interface closes for three years, and if you are patient, the amount of work will not be significant.” After a glance at Yang Wu, Master Wang Sicheng continued, "and we don't even know now whether the password is a number or a letter… or a symbol we don't know. ”

The computer room was silent for a while.

The survey seemed to be caught on the verge of going back and forth into the Valley.

“If it doesn't work... we can physically destroy this supercomputing center," Lee Gaoling tried to suggest, "Whatever it's up to, as long as it turns itself into a pile of broken copper and rotten iron ——”

“In that case, its secret goes to hell with it," touched Li Gaoliang, Yang Wu continued, "which may have something to do with the origin of the Alpha virus and is probably the biggest clue we have so far about the Alpha virus, and it is probably our only hope of solving this problem. ”

Master Wang saw Yang Wu and said seriously, “The key now is to find the password… have you found any relevant clues from elsewhere? For example, the space station near Valley Star. ”

Li Gaoliang and Yang Wu looked at each other and shook their heads together instead.

Although some clues were also found on the station, the vast majority of them were egg-free.

However, at this moment, Captain Xing, standing beside him, suddenly said.

“That means... this password can be tried three times? ”

“I suppose so,” Wang Yard knocked down, "but I don't suggest you try anything. ”

Side of the sentence: “It's not random... can I use your laptop? ”

Looking at the captain, Master Wang's face gave a surprise expression.

“You know the password? ”

“I don't know,” he said with a bitter smile, "but here I am… I happen to have a line of passwords, though I don't know if they are used here. ”

Yang Wuxin moved, seemed to think of something, said immediately.

“Is that the formula? You've solved it? ”

The side of the sentence nodded.

“To be precise, it was Master Lu who unlocked it. ”

Next to his laptop, he knocked on the keyboard the number he had previously been given by the ark, and then knocked on the return button.

Seeing this scene, everyone couldn't help but hold their breath. Especially the monk Wang and his students, nervously almost referred to the eyes of his voice.

Only three chances.

If it fails, it can only wait three years.

Fortunately, what they were worried about didn't happen, and the light blue cursor flashed slightly on the computer, as if it were the key that opened the door to the New World, and the screen was filled with code.

Looking at everything in front of him, Master Wang's pupils contracted instantly, and then a rave appeared on his face.

It worked!

Password is correct!

This is amazing!
