When Owen Sawyer arrived at the villa, the two of them were sitting on the sofa, neither saying a word.

Georgia Thorne kept stealing glances at Elliot Sheridan, who wore a cold, aloof expression, radiating an aura that warned everyone to keep their distance.

"Hello, Sir. Hello, Madam!" Owen Sawyer greeted, his heart in his throat.

He’d heard yesterday that something big had happened at the company’s entrance. The hero of the story was none other than their president, but the heroine was just an unknown low-level employee.

Owen Sawyer’s first instinct was to check Georgia Thorne’s office to see if she was there.

And sure enough, she wasn’t. That had put his mind at ease.

Elliot Sheridan stood up. Seeing Georgia Thorne sitting motionless with her head bowed, he barked, "What are you still spacing out for? Planning to spend the night here?"

Georgia Thorne...

Watching the man’s retreating back as he walked out, Georgia Thorne also stood and followed.

Apparently finding her too slow, Elliot Sheridan stopped. Once Georgia Thorne was behind him, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her out the door.

Owen Sawyer drove, occasionally glancing at Elliot Sheridan and Georgia Thorne in the rearview mirror.

Elliot, in particular, looked incredibly awkward.

’He looked like he couldn’t be bothered with Georgia Thorne, yet he never let go of her hand.’

’Clearly, something had happened between them in the past day and night.’

Just as the car entered the city, the man radiating a cold aura spoke. "Go to Aidan’s hospital!"

At his words, Georgia Thorne, who had had her eyes closed, suddenly opened them and twitched her fingers.

’She hadn’t been asleep. She’d been thinking, wondering if she had misjudged Elliot Sheridan.’

’He had never personally admitted to any of these things.’

At the hospital entrance, Elliot Sheridan gripped Georgia Thorne’s hand and led her toward Aidan’s room.

Aidan Sheridan was in fairly good spirits today, sitting up in his hospital bed reading a book.

His memory was still stuck at the time before the car accident. Ever since waking up, he had been unable to accept the fact that he had been in a coma for so long.

He had just turned a page when Elliot Sheridan walked in, holding Georgia Thorne’s hand.

The caregiver at his side was the first to notice their arrival. "Mr. Sheridan, you’re here!"

Aidan Sheridan looked up excitedly. "Brother, you’re here!"

"Yeah. How are you feeling today? Are you uncomfortable anywhere?" Elliot Sheridan asked with concern.

"I’m fine!" Aidan Sheridan closed his book, his gaze lingering on Georgia Thorne. "Brother, who is she?"

Facing Aidan, Georgia Thorne felt an urge to flee, but Elliot held her hand tightly, making it impossible to leave.

Elliot Sheridan pulled Georgia Thorne in front of him. "Her name is Georgia Thorne. From now on, you’ll call her your sister-in-law."

The moment he spoke, the smile vanished from Aidan’s face. He looked from Elliot to Georgia, and his gaze finally settled on their clasped hands.

His expression was one of pure disbelief. "Are you two dating?"

"No. We’re already married."

"When?"

"A while before you woke up." Elliot’s voice held a stern edge as he chided Aidan. "What, you were in a coma for a few years and forgot how to address people properly?"

Aidan couldn’t accept that Elliot was with another woman. His mind went blank.

Georgia paused. Just as she was about to speak, she heard Aidan ask, "Then what about my sister?"

Aidan’s memory was stuck before the accident. Back then, Quentin Chase and Elliot Sheridan had been a couple everyone envied.

For everyone else, the past few years had been a long journey. But for Aidan, it was as if he had only taken a nap.

A very, very long nap.

Georgia flinched and tried to pull back, but Elliot reached out and held her fast.

Obvious anger flashed across his handsome face. "Your sister and I broke up a long time ago. This woman is my wife now."

The entire time, Elliot gripped Georgia’s hand tightly, refusing to let her pull away.

"Aidan, listen to me. From now on, she is your sister-in-law."

"Brother!" Aidan cried out, unwilling to accept it. His face was a mask of disappointment, unable to believe Elliot’s change of heart.

"Get some rest. I’m taking your sister-in-law home now." Elliot pulled Georgia toward the door, giving a few instructions to the caregiver on his way out.

No sooner had Elliot left with Georgia than William arrived.

As his younger brother, Aidan both admired and respected Elliot.

At one point, he had believed Elliot and Quentin Chase would be together forever.

When William came in, he saw Aidan sitting on the bed, looking dejected. "Where’s Elliot?"

"My brother already left. With that woman," Aidan said sullenly.

William’s eyes darted about as he put the pieces together. ’So Elliot actually brought Georgia Thorne here to meet you.’

’He knew exactly what this meant.’

William sat on the edge of the bed. "There, there, Aidan. Don’t be sad."

Aidan clutched the book in his hands. "William, I’m not sad for myself. I’m sad for my sister. She suffered so much for him, and now he brings another woman to see me. If my sister finds out, she’ll definitely leave again!"

"No, no, that won’t happen. Elliot will definitely end up with your sister."

"Really?"

"Would I lie to you?" William said with a reassuring smile, pulling him into a hug.

As William comforted Aidan, he felt an indescribable mix of emotions himself.

’Since Elliot brought Georgia here, it must mean they’ve made up. Georgia will definitely tell Elliot what I said to her.’

’An ominous feeling crept over him, and his brows furrowed. It seemed Elliot was determined to protect Georgia to the very end.’

"William, I want to see my sister. Can you bring her here?"

Aidan pleaded. After a moment of consideration, William agreed in a low voice, "Alright."

Back in the car, Elliot and Georgia sat in silence.

Owen Sawyer, in the driver’s seat, glanced at the two in the back. After a long hesitation, he finally asked, "Sir, where to next?"

"Home."

"I want to go back!"

They spoke at the same time, though Georgia’s words came out a half-beat later.

The words were different, and so were their intentions.

’Owen Sawyer rubbed his nose. So, they hadn’t made up after all.’

Georgia looked embarrassed and reached for the door handle. "I can get back on my own!"

Before she could open the door, she heard Elliot let out a cold snort. He yanked her into his arms and ordered Owen Sawyer, "Take her home!"

His powerful, domineering presence overwhelmed her. The man’s hand rested on her slim waist, pinning her in place.

Her home was Byron Shaw’s apartment.

Only Nancy Hughes and Byron Shaw knew that Georgia had moved.

Georgia got out of the car. "You can go now."

But Elliot suddenly got out of the car. His tall frame loomed over her as he said coldly, "Go pack your things. I’m coming to get you tomorrow."

"..." Georgia was about to object, but before she could speak, he continued, "You’ve been ’visiting your family’ long enough. Don’t give Byron Shaw a reason to laugh at us."

"Elliot, I’m not..." She had been about to say she didn’t want to go back with him.

But a cold glare from Elliot silenced her. His voice was a soft whisper in her ear. "I’ll be here to get you tomorrow."

Elliot stood by the entrance, watching with his own eyes as she got into the elevator.

Georgia randomly pressed a floor button. After waiting for about ten minutes, she came back down.

She walked to the gate of the complex, hailed a taxi, and went back to her real apartment.

Elliot had taken her to see Aidan, but instead of feeling happy, her heart felt even heavier.

’From Aidan’s tone, it was clear he couldn’t accept her being with Elliot.’

’And then there was Quentin Chase. She was really bothered by the thought of Quentin Chase, even though Elliot had said there was no longer a place for her in his heart.’

Back in her own apartment, she kicked off her shoes, dropped her coat, and collapsed onto the bed in exhaustion.

The sky gradually darkened. Owen Sawyer sat quietly in the car, wondering what his boss was thinking.

After Georgia went upstairs, they hadn’t left immediately. Instead, they had found a hidden spot and waited patiently for about ten minutes.

About ten minutes later, Georgia had emerged from the building and walked to the gate to leave.

They had tailed her all the way here, watching with their own eyes as she entered this apartment building.

Now, they had been sitting downstairs for over an hour. To Owen’s surprise, Elliot hadn’t stormed up to confront her, nor had he left in a rage.

As the twilight deepened, Owen Sawyer glanced at Elliot’s grim expression and called out tentatively, "Sir?"

"Drive. To the hospital."

Owen Sawyer obeyed, speeding toward the hospital. He was afraid Mr. Sheridan’s stomach problems were flaring up again.

And as it turned out, Elliot’s stomach problems had indeed flared up again.

He was on an IV drip all night, accompanied by a high fever that refused to break.

Anxious, Owen Sawyer kept vigil by the bedside all night, listening as the delirious Elliot kept calling out Georgia Thorne’s name.

With no other choice, he decided to call Georgia Thorne.

However, to avoid Elliot, Georgia had turned her phone off the moment she got home yesterday.

Unable to reach Georgia, Owen Sawyer found a nurse to watch over Elliot and rushed to Georgia’s apartment himself.

Partway there, he glanced at the time—it was already nine o’clock. He spun the car around and headed for the office instead.

When Owen Sawyer arrived at the company, Georgia was already buried in her work.

Beside her, Kai watched her work so intently. He opened his mouth several times, wanting to ask about her and Elliot Sheridan, but always ended up closing it again in resignation.

Owen Sawyer burst into the office like a whirlwind. "Madam, please, come with me, quickly!"

He abruptly pulled Georgia to her feet. She was completely bewildered. "Where are we going?"

"Mr. Sheridan has been hospitalized! He has a high fever and keeps calling your name. Please, come with me!" Owen Sawyer was sweating buckets from the stress.

Georgia’s heart sank. ’He has a fever again?’

Without a second thought, she followed Owen Sawyer out the door.

They left a room full of bewildered colleagues in their wake. Wendy Young nudged Gregory Griffin beside her. "Did you see the guy who just rushed in?"

"Yeah."

"I think that was Secretary Sawyer, from Mr. Sheridan’s office!"

"Yeah."

"Then did you hear what Secretary Sawyer called Georgia just now?"

"Yeah!"

"Secretary Sawyer called her *Madam*!"

Gregory Griffin was about to grunt ’Yeah’ again, but a punch from Wendy Young to his chest turned the sound into a cry of pain.

Gregory Griffin rubbed his chest where she’d hit him. "Wendy Young, what the hell! Why’d you hit me?"

Wendy looked utterly resentful. "So what? My heart is broken! Can’t I even vent a little?"

"You’re heartbroken? Why the hell are you taking it out on me!" Gregory Griffin muttered, cursing his bad luck. "Besides, Mr. Sheridan doesn’t even know who you are. What kind of heartbreak is that!"
