Chapter 232: Kai’s Training Room
Kalon found a towel and helped Sifa clean the worst of the meltwater from the bed before either of them tried to talk properly.
After he did, he felt like there was no point cleaning. She was already halfway melting again just from the leftover pleasure from her thorough fucking.
Eventually she managed maintain a solid form and rose to her feet which wobbled with every step she took.
She put on a loose robe that did almost nothing to hide the shape of her chest and sat opposite him at the low table in her room while a maid brought tea.
Her celebrity status has risen so far that she was able to have maids now.
She was a young woman, and her cheeks were slightly melted as she delivered them to tea.
It seems she heard Sifa’s noises...
The cups steamed between them. Sifa held hers in both hands and watched him over the rim, ice-blue eyes softer than they had been in the dragon form.
"You are quiet," she said.
"I’m thinking." Kalon took a sip. "That merger changes things for you. Combat, range, presence. You’re becoming one of the strongest people I know."
Sifa’s mouth curved into a smile.
"Coming from you, that means something." She said happily.
They drank in a short stretch of comfortable silence. Outside the window the Cryos sky sat pale and hard. Sifa shifted in her seat and the robe slipped off one smooth shoulder. She left it there on purpose, full ice breast soft under the half-open fabric.
Kalon set his cup down.
"There’s something else I want to talk to you about... Now that our bond is deep enough, I can take you with me when I travel. To other planets."
Sifa stared at him.
"Other planets. Are you being for real?"
"Yes."
"Kalon, that is not a small claim." She leaned forward slightly, robe loosening further across her full chest. She struggled to hide her excitement. "People here still treat interplanetary travel like myth when it is not locked to summons and tournament rules. You are telling me you can simply take me."
"I can."
"I want to believe you." Her voice stayed careful. "I also watched you erase a dragon in the tournament and walk out of it alive, so part of me already does. But it is still a lot to accept over one cup of tea."
"Tomorrow," Kalon said. "I’ll prove it. Just a short trip. You see it yourself, then we talk about where you want to go after that."
Sifa searched his face for a long moment, then nodded once.
"Tomorrow, then. If you are lying, I am going to be very annoyed with you."
"I’m not lying." Kalon laughed.
She smiled properly at that, soft and cold-lipped, and finished her tea with her bare shoulder still uncovered.
...
Kalon left Cryos not long after and returned to the high-rise.
The apartment felt quiet after Sifa’s room.
He stood by the window for a while and let the day settle. Josinia could already travel with him. Sifa could now travel with him. Thea had already been to other worlds at his side. Three women he could move across planets.
The thought sat heavy and useful at the same time.
In the future, this would make things possible that he never thought possible before...
He washed, ate, and slept with a lot of thoughts on his mind.
...
The next morning, Kalon awoke to a message on his phone.
[Kai]
[You free to train today? Got space at mine.]
Kalon replied while still half in bed.
[Yeah. Send the address.]
Kai did. The pin sat in a part of the city Kalon did not visit often, out where the most luxurious houses sat, rather than tall apartments.
He dressed for training and headed over.
...
Kai’s place was a proper estate.
High walls. Long driveway. A main house that looked like money had been sitting on the land for decades.
Kalon was let through at the gate and found Kai waiting near the side path in training gear, black hair damp from a warm-up, taped hands hanging loose.
"You look like you expected a flat," Kai said.
"I expected something smaller, that’s for sure.."
Kai huffed once and started walking him around the side of the house.
"Parents. They work at Ashford Crown Finance. Biggest private firm in the country if you ask the people who work there, and they do ask themselves that often enough. I get the grounds and the training field out of it. They get to say their son is under Atlas."
"Sounds like a fair trade."
"Yup. Come on, let me show you around."
They passed a glass corridor and a stretch of maintained garden before the path opened onto a private training field at the rear of the estate.
Reinforced floor plating. Target frames. Enough open space for serious skill work without neighbours complaining.
It was twice the size of Thea’s.
And someone was already there.
A woman stood near the centre of the field in fitted training wear, dark leggings and a close athletic top that did nothing to hide a full, heavy bust. She looked older than Kai by a clear margin, maybe late thirties, with the kind of beauty that was mature. Long dark hair was tied back. Her posture was balanced and ready, like she had been warming up properly instead of pretending. When she rolled one shoulder, her chest moved heavily under the tight top.
Kai slowed a step.
"Ah. She’s here early."
The woman turned at their voices.
Her eyes moved over Kai first, then settled on Kalon with open interest. The athletic top stretched tight across her bountiful breasts when she breathed, and she made no attempt to angle herself away from the view.
"Kai," she said. "You didn’t say you were bringing the Atlas boy who keeps ending up on the news."
Kai rubbed the back of his neck.
"Kalon, this is my aunt. She uses the field when she’s in the city. Though I didn’t know she was here today..."
Kalon met her gaze and nodded once.
Kai’s auntie smiled, busty frame full with confidence in the middle of the training field.
