Seeing Crime Scenes in My Sleep

Jiang Li arrived at the hospital, got a shot, and sat down to wait. The doctor said she needed to be observed for a while.

She took out her phone to check it. Miao Anji still hadn’t replied, but Ji Qinghe had found out and sent a message to ask how she was.

Jiang Li gave a simple reply.

"I told you, your sister is fine. She was bitten by an insect. It might be venomous, but she’s not going to die. So please, rest assured."

The doctor looked at the big guy in the doorway and sighed, rubbing his forehead. He understood the man was worried about a loved one, but he kept coming back to ask every few minutes. This was a bit excessive.

Yu Huannian blinked and asked again, "She really won’t die?"

"She won’t."

"Thank you."

Only after receiving a definite answer again did Yu Huannian turn and leave.

"Whew." The doctor heaved a long sigh of relief as he watched Yu Huannian’s retreating back. ’That guy must have been through some kind of trauma.’

"Yu Huannian, what are you doing at the hospital?" Ning Rou stared at him, feeling a wave of indignation.

Ning Sinian found Yu Huannian’s hospital room. Seeing Jiang Li inside, he stopped at the doorway. He was too ashamed to face her now.

’She had helped them out of the goodness of her heart, and in return, they... it was repaying kindness with malice. Utterly shameless.’

"Forensic Doctor Ning, is something wrong?" Wu Ming called out, holding a bottle of water as he looked at Ning Sinian, who was standing frozen in the doorway.

Jiang Li and Yu Huannian’s gazes shifted toward him. Ning Sinian walked in, shamefaced.

"Jiang Li, Yu Huannian, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know Little Rou took your money. I’m truly sorry."

Standing in the doorway, Ning Sinian’s apology sounded pale and powerless.

Jiang Li glanced at Yu Huannian. "Forensic Doctor Ning, on this matter, I’ll respect Xiao Nian’s decision."

’It was Yu Huannian’s money; it was his right to do with it as he pleased.’

Yu Huannian stood up and faced Ning Sinian. "It’s fine. But it’s better if we don’t see each other anymore."
