"Alright, I’ll find someone to handle this in secret."
Zheng Qichuan hung up the phone, veins bulging on his arm. ’Ivan and Ji Yan are truly father and son, both of them absolutely wicked.’
Zhou Tiancheng returned. "I’ve spoken to them. They’ll take care of the Ivan situation."
"I’ll have someone look for similar factories. I’ve already sent people to investigate Jiang Zhiqiang’s factory."
Jiang Li nodded vigorously. ’It pays to have connections. Everything’s arranged without even having to say much.’
"Jiang Li, you should go home and get some rest. We’ll contact you if we find any new leads."
Lu Xingye watched Jiang Li, urging her to go home and rest. ’She’s finally had a chance to relax. There’s no telling how busy things will get from now on.’
Jiang Li nodded, got up, and left.

News came from Zheng Qichuan. Just as Jiang Li had said, Ivan had been up to no good. The victims had now been rescued.
With constant pressure from the police and Yu Zhen Guo’s people, the matter was finally resolved. Ivan was sentenced.
When Jiang Li saw the news, it felt like the best she could have hoped for. ’He got what he deserved.’
Ji Qinghe’s team had already dug up some information and arranged for someone to go undercover.
Jiang Li was leisurely waiting for updates when she got a call from Lu Xingye one day.
"Jiang Li, Du Xueqing has been brought to the police station."
Jiang Li froze for a moment. ’Du Xueqing. It really has been a long time since I heard anything about her.’
Jiang Li went to the police station with Miao Anji. Wu Ming and Yu Huannian had gone to hunt down criminals from the bounty list.
When they arrived at the station, Jiang Li saw Du Xueqing sitting in a chair, looking so glamorous that she almost didn’t recognize her.
Seeing Jiang Li, Du Xueqing shot up from her seat excitedly. "Jiang Li."
Jiang Li nodded and looked at Lu Xingye in confusion. "What exactly happened?"
"We were tracking a suspect when we heard someone call the police. When we got closer, we realized it was the three of them.
Liang Huka had killed Jiang Shuran. Du Xueqing was there as well, so we brought her in too."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Li turned to look at Du Xueqing.
"Jiang Li, I still have to get into college! I would never kill someone. This has nothing to do with me."
A bright, confident smile played on Du Xueqing’s face as she looked at her. She was like a completely different person from the Du Xueqing of before.
Jiang Li frowned, pursing her lips without a word. She turned to Lu Xingye. "So what’s the situation now?"
"Brother Zhao is on it. We should have results soon."
Jiang Li nodded and sat down to the side. She glanced at Du Xueqing out of the corner of her eye. ’Something feels off.’
After a while, Zhao Shuo came out and had someone take Du Xueqing inside.
Zhao Shuo then turned to the two of them. "Based on the surveillance footage from the private room, the timeline of events, and the phone chat logs, it really seems like this has nothing to do with Du Xueqing."
"What’s the relationship between Du Xueqing and Liang Huka?"
Jiang Li voiced the question on her mind. The last time she’d seen Du Xueqing, she had felt the atmosphere between her and Liang Huka was strange.
Zhao Shuo looked at her. "They met online. A couple that took their relationship offline."
Jiang Li’s mouth fell open slightly in astonishment. ’Then... did Du Xueqing plan all of this?’
’Letting them fight amongst themselves... a dog-eat-dog situation.’
"Du Xueqing used Liang Huka’s feelings for her to deal with Jiang Shuran, and then managed to extricate herself completely.
What’s surprising is that Liang Huka was so obedient to her."
’One minute, you wish someone was dead; the next, you’re madly in love.’
Jiang Li thought about the change in Du Xueqing. In just a few short months, she had transformed completely, as if reborn.
’She suspected Du Xueqing might have been taken over by her second personality. But hadn’t Little Li said it had disappeared?’
"That’s not right, Sister. She merely wasn’t appearing, which doesn’t mean she disappeared. If Du Xueqing is provoked during this time, she can still emerge."
Little Li corrected her line of thought.
Jiang Li nodded. Just then, a door opened, and she looked up to see Du Xueqing walking out.
The officer behind her told her to wait for further notice, then walked over to them and handed a statement to Zhao Shuo.
"Du Xueqing says that Jiang Shuran saw her with Liang Huka, became jealous, and started causing trouble for her.
She says she doesn’t know why Liang Huka suddenly flew into a rage and killed Jiang Shuran."
Qin Shu walked out from another room. "This is Liang Huka’s blood report. There are no traces of any drugs."
Zhao Shuo nodded. Liang Huka’s guilt in the murder was an open-and-shut case.
"Is he eighteen yet?" Zhao Shuo prepared to flip through Liang Huka’s file again for a closer look.
"He just turned eighteen, it seems." Zhao Shuo glanced back at Du Xueqing on the other side of the room, the details of her previous cases still vivid in his memory.
’Everything now is just a little too perfect.’
Jiang Sheng stormed in from outside, fuming. "Where is Liang Huka? I want him to pay with his life!"
"Brother Jiang, let’s talk this out. There might be a misunderstanding here." Liang Chengdong desperately tried to placate Jiang Sheng, though in reality, he was already sweating bullets.
