Episode 64: The Underground Altar of the Big Clock Tower

One carriage arrived as me and Mr. Clarice waited in front of the main entrance.

A familiar carriage clumps in front of us.

The carriage door opened.

"Thank you for waiting."

I said as Mr. Machina, with his face on, even covered his hair that was about to be scattered by the wind.

Come on, get in.

Get in the carriage. I'll sit alongside Mr. Clarice.

Mr. Machina is in the opposite seat.

The carriage moves out.

"Hey, I'm looking forward to it. What the hell is waiting for you, huh?

Mr. Clarice is in a wolf state like a child going on a hike.

I spoke to Mr. Makina, grinning bitterly that you were really looking forward to it.

"Um, mr. Makina"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you for your business, Mr. Currier."

"Never mind. I have a lot to gain. If I could use her help, I wouldn't be like that."

"But because of that, I have more work and I'm physically and mentally fatigued... or something?

A jittery gaze flew in.

"Mia, right?

"Oh, no."

"You don't have to hide it. That's where she is, because she's sensitive."

Mr. Makina drops her exhale.

"I hate to be a hassle, but I need to do what I have to do in my position. It must be a lot easier in the world if it's a pain in the ass and you can get through everything."

Hmm, and Mr. Makina snorts sarcastically.

"If there's anything you can do to help me, tell me, right?

"Right, so maybe next time I'll have you relax your elaborate body?

Relax your body?

Is that a massage?

"Yeah, yeah... I don't know if I can do it well"

"Nice."

Hmm.

Is it even stiff on your shoulders?

"And..."

Mr. Makina looks at me as if he can't cut me out.

"It was the morning before."

"You mean the other morning?

Ah.

Could...... The Curse King's Dream (?) I think you mean the day I saw it.

"I was speechless then, and I walked right into the house... I don't know, I'm sorry"

"That's... that's okay."

Hmm?

It's kind of a bad tooth cut.

"No, it's nothing after all... we'll talk about this again"

So Mr. Makina broke off the conversation.

She had indicated in her attitude that the matter was over now.

I had no choice, so I didn't touch on that topic any more.

After a while, the conversation in the carriage was interrupted.

It's not uncomfortable air though.

It is an air that feels like a break.

Mr. Clarice said, looking out the window with a heartfelt look as he scowled ahead of you.

After a while more, Mr. Machina leaked one adorable extension, wow.

Then lean against the window and start looking out blurry.

And when the carriage plugged to the end of the hill, Mr. Makina began to sleep sooooooooooooo.

I guess I'm still tired.

I put my hand on my mouth and whispered to Mr. Clarice.

"I feel sorry to wake you too. Be quiet until you arrive."

"Okay."

Thus we decided to wait silently for our arrival at the Great Clock Tower, feeling the vibrations that would pass over our seats.

"Underground altar, is it?"

A middle-aged man in glasses said with a gash on his head.

"Yeah. I need to check something out."

A large clock tower stands near the center of Wangdu.

We're in it now.

When Mr. Makina arrived, she woke up patsy and stepped out of the carriage, cutting the lead and walking into the clock tower.

Me and Mr. Clarice followed her inside.

The clock tower was made of stone, with a distinctive old smell on his nose as he stepped in.

There was space on the ground floor, like an office, from which a middle-aged man came out to respond to Mr. Makina.

A middle-aged man looks at me and Mr. Clarice in turn.

And, Mr. Clarice stopped looking at me perfectly.

"Oh, I see. I like to look into examples…"

Mr. Makina nods in arms.

"That sort of thing"

The man seems to know Mr. Clarice.

Plus, how impressive she was, apparently.

To look at your face and immediately guess the requirements.

"I need permission from the Holy King's family to enter that altar."

"I'll make sure you guys don't get annoyed. If you really want to talk about it, I'll do it later."

"Ma... wouldn't you have a problem? But for once, you'll have the paperwork written, won't you?

"Okay."

Mr. Makina turns around.

"So can you two wait there for a little while?

Me and Mr. Clarice stayed on the spot when I was told.

Mr. Makina walks inside the office with a man.

As usual, I'm just amazed at her awareness or the strength of that position.

The stairs at the side of the office caught my eye.

The staircase leans upwards as it encloses the interior of this watch tower.

Apparently, the only way to get up there is to use the stairs.

It is difficult for people to maintain the clock.

I looked over my head.

The interior of the clock tower is blown out and a heavy metal sound echoes from above.

There was a strange force.

Unexpectedly, the words of sensitivity leak out of my mouth.

"Wow..."

"Interested, are you?

When I saw it, Mr. Clarice's mouth was arguing with garlic.

Ah.

Shit.

"Pfft, this big clock tower isn't quite made of historic architecture, is it?

"Look, look, Mr. Makina will be back soon, too!

"Did the school director say anything about you being a bicker?

"Machina!

But I didn't get a cry for help, and all I could see in my eyes was Mr. Makina jumping through the glass surrounded by the men in the office and having a conversation.

They recommend drinks and treats one after the other.

I mean, what, its not popular!?

"Come on! I'll teach you the history of this big clock tower as long as time permits! In the first place, this big clock tower, the former Holy King..."

Until Mr. Makina finally came back, I was given a lecture by Mr. Clarice on the history and structure of the Great Clock Tower...

"Is this the underground altar?"

Having been described by Ms Clarice as Dr. Big Clock Tower, I looked around the room stroking my jaw without a mustache.

Led by Mr. Makina back from his office, we descended the stairs in the corner of the first floor of the big clock tower, from where we proceeded straight down the aisle.

The altar was at the end of its passage, at the end of an open stone door.

Now we're in the altar room.

The stone walls surrounding the room glow thinly.

Will the atmosphere be similar within the Holy Ruins?

Or is this also considered a room within the Holy Ruins, given that the Holy Ruins are spread beneath this King's Capital?

"There."

"Yes."

Ahead of Mr. Makina and Mr. Clarice turned their gaze.

of the altar set in the back, behind it.

As Mr Clarice put it, there is certainly an ancient doorway with a shield-like crest.

He hasn't quite figured out what this altar was made for in the first place.

Mr. Clarice said it was something he found during the construction of the large clock tower...

"Was it once considered an altar dedicated to the Holy God Renault Thread?

I will also throw what Mr. Clarice taught me earlier to Mr. Makina.

"Yep. That's why I'm managing the Holy King's house if I can't go under... it's just a formality. There's also decency for the Holy Tree Church. I don't think there's a single person in the Holy King's house interested in the secrets of this altar."

With that said, Mr. Makina walks to the back door with the Holy Devil's Sword I gave her.

Mr. Clarice follows him in the nori as he rocks his sauce.

I followed her, too.

Mr. Makina puts her hand on his mouth as he gazes at the door keyhole.

"You look the right size..."

Mr. Machina presents me with the Holy Devil's Sword in his hand.

"You did get this on the fifth level of the Holy Ruins, didn't you?

"Yes."

It was a somewhat special situation, though.

Once again, Mr. Makina turns back to the keyhole.

"Well... let's give it a try anyway"

and crystals and procedures embedded in the Sacred Devil's Sword begin to emit a light of light green.

Mr. Makina is pouring in the sacrament.

And the Holy Devil's Sword was plugged into the keyhole and turned all the way around.

Then,

A surgical ceremony appeared on the door.

The procedure emits light.

I put my hands on the glare.

"Ah, the door..."

Slowly the door opens.

And when the door was cut open, the luminescence of the procedure subsided.

"Ho, it's really open... there's a door that doesn't open..."

Flashing Mr. Clarice.

"You surprised me. I can't believe it was really the key here. - Huh?

Ahead of Mr. Makina's gaze.

When I saw it, the holy demon sword at her disposal was discolored to gray.

Plus - Bobble, he said.

The Holy Demon Sword collapses like a dirt mass.

It's as if you thought you'd finished the role.

Mr. Makina overlooks what was the Sacred Devil's Sword at his feet.

"Yes, once."

"More than that, look at that!

Mr. Clarice pointed to the end of the door.

There was another altar there.

Also, the interior of the room was very different from this side, with a red and black and disastrous shade.

…………

Ah.

I see.

If you think you've seen it somewhere... it looks like the room where those blue goblins were hissing.

"Something could be at stake, so I'll go first"

Mr. Makina steps forward.

As soon as I have to, I step into the room with care so that I can activate the curse.

The size of the room itself was small.

Maybe only about six tatami.

The ceiling is not high either.

Unlike the other room, which had a stone statue that seemed to elephant the goddess by a rugged pillar with a sculpture on it, this one just has one worn out altar.

We lined up side-by-side in front of the altar.

and Mr. Clarice, who took the central position as soon as possible, begins to observe the altar.

"Ho ho, this looks good again"

If you look closely, the altar was engraved with sculptures reminiscent of demonized creatures.

Also on the altar sits a horizontal box, which I think is made of stone again.

"Coffin...... though small"

You decided there seemed to be no danger, Mr. Makina, who was concerned about his surroundings, finally opened his mouth.

I'll observe the horizontal box again, too.

It doesn't even look like a coffin if you ask me.

Hmm.

I don't see anything that looks like a keyhole.

If I want to open it, can I keep it open?

"Can I open this? Isn't that nice? Right?"

Mr. Clarice asked for permission.

My face insists on 'let me open it'.

"Something could be setting a trap. Once here..."

"Thou shalt die!

Despite the fact that Mr. Makina is in the middle of talking, what a momentum Mr. Clarice lifted the lid of the coffin.

"Hey -"

Mr. Makina takes a step back in disquiet.

Meanwhile, Mr. Clarice's gaze is sewn into the coffin.

"Duh, what's wrong? Inside...... what happened?

Mr. Makina also seemed concerned about how she was doing, and as she stepped forward, she stretched her neck and peered in.

and

"Hey, I'm not in anything......"

Mr Clarice said in a trembling voice.

"Or it's empty... but... but... but... eh"

He was so shocked. Mr. Clarice was peeling his white eyes.

Even though he looks adorable...... it was a very unfortunate sight.

I peek into the coffin while dropping my shoulder in a different way than Mr. Clarice, too.

"Is that it?"

That's when I realized I had one.

It looks empty at first glance because it's buried in powder that seems to have peeled off the back lid, but underneath something...

"Wait."

Apparently, Mr. Machina noticed, too.

She gently puts her hands in the coffin.

And I pinched something up.

Sarah and the powder she was wearing fall down.

So Mr. Makina leaked his voice.

After much thought, she gave me that pinch.

Huh? And I point to myself.

Kokuri, Mr. Makina nods.

I take it in my hands and make sure it's frightening.

Oh, yeah... what?

"'Me, no curse -'

…………

Huh?

This is...
