Lesson 26: The Spirit of the Great Tree

"Did you get permission to go to Daiki?

One day, some time after Rio opened his cooking class, Arsla told him that permission had been given to Rio to go under the great tree.

"Um, the cooking class started by Lord Rio seems to be popular. That reputation was the backbone. Besides, it's also significant that I taught the Presbyterians that Lord Rio is in a state of covenant with some spirits in explaining why I'm taking him to the Great Tree. For they believe in the Spirit, for better or worse. Those who can make a covenant with the Spirit will only be seen at a glance."

And, based on the history of getting permission, Arsla says.

"I see."

When I heard the story, Rio gave me a peek at something that made me laugh bitterly.

Apparently, it's not even dangerous, but the distrust that was directed against Rio has been wiped off a lot.

Oddly enough, the cooking class I started for Latifah was somewhat hilarious as Rio because it was in Rio's interest to explore it.

"So will it be time for the next Spirit Festival to head to the Great Tree?

As far as Rio knows, the next Spirit Festival should have been scheduled in two weeks.

"No, we've got it figured out so we can get there before the Spirit Festival. Don't worry if you're watching too many people."

Almost all the days of the Spirit Festival will be gathered together by the people of the Spirit under the great tree.

It was Earthra's consideration that it would not even be an errand to do in such a crowd environment.

"That hurts your concern."

Rio smiled in his mouth and thanked him for such earthly consideration.

"Ho, it's not something a young man would be afraid of like that. And Lord Rio is a benefactor to Non himself. It's as easy as this."

And, Earthra also speaks with a gentle grin.

"So the guide was accompanied by Sarah, Orphea, Alma, Uzuma, and the five of them. It would be helpful if you would accept that the guide's companionship is a condition of permission."

"Yes, no problem"

As for Rio, there is absolutely no objection, so I will answer immediately on the spot.

"Um, then we'll leave in three days. It's not far, so we can go in half an hour."

Then, three days later, Rio was led by the Earthlas to the great tree where the quasi-high spirits Druas lived.

By the way, the Latifah is coming with me because of the facial appearance.

If he lived inside, he would see the tree on a daily basis, but when he came close and saw it, Rio felt its overwhelming presence again.

"I don't know. All the trees around here are huge, but you're releasing a rolling presence and divinity beyond words."

And, as heartfelt impressed, he mouthed the sentiment that Rio saw the great tree.

"Oh, I'm glad you said that."

Then I heard a beautiful woman from nowhere.

The moment the words were heard, five men, Sarah, Orphea, Alma, Uzuma and Arsula, knelt vigorously.

Rio and Latifah learn from it too.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Drewas the Spirit who lives in this great tree."

An elderly woman who appeared before Rio wearing a piece with beautiful flowers said that with an innocent smile on her face.

It has long green wavy hair that seems to reach the ground, emerald-like eyes, and the creation of a beautiful face like a thin crop, but it also has an atmosphere that gives it a soft impression somewhere.

"I'm late for my application. My name is Rio."

Rio greets Drewas, who appeared in Islam, with confusion.

"Yeah, it's Rio. Greetings."

And, Drewas grinned and grinned, attracting the beholder.

"So, what can I do for you? Spirit Festival's a little further, isn't it?

Fluttering, Druias floating in the universe sent his gaze towards the Earthlas who were holding back behind Rio.

"Yes, I would like to know if Mr. Drewas has any idea of the spirits dormant in this human boy today, depending on what happens."

That's what Earthra sees in Rio.

Drewas' gaze also returned to Rio again.

"The Spirit in that child? Sure seems to be some sign of your own kind from that kid... but don't you know anything about the spirits sleeping inside you?

Drewas with a strange face.

"Yes. I have no idea"

No matter how you scratch it, there is only one word to reply to, beyond the lack of memory shards.

Rio mouthed the fact with a bittersweet look on his face.

"Oh well. Um, can I do a little research?

"Yeah. I'd rather not."

That said, confirming that Rio nodded, Drewas gently touched Rio's body.

I learned the feeling that something foreign was coming into me, but I accept it as it is.

"You have an amazing amount of odds. Looks delicious. Really human? Besides, yeah, it looks like it's definitely in a contract state because the circuit is made...... Huh!?

When I uttered something that would confirm the state of the Spirit in Rio, Drewas reacted to Vikri and his body as if surprised by something.

"Did you figure something out?

Rio asks, having felt Drewas' anomaly.

"... you have a human spirit asleep inside you."

And Drewas said in a bewildered voice.

"Huh!?

When I heard the words of Drewas like that, I got the look of the people besides Rio and Latifah on this occasion who were stunned.

"Are you a human-shaped spirit?

Obviously to the unusual air, Rio, who doesn't understand the circumstances, speaks out his doubts.

"Looks like you don't know what a human spirit looks like. Hmm, being able to be human means being so high up. At least you can't be more than I am. There's hardly any such thing, so I'm surprised at them and me."

and Drewas briefly explains the circumstances.

"... you came to the Spirit people about a year ago, didn't you?

Two, Drewas told me as he remembered something.

"Yeah, that's about the time I did come into the people of the Spirit..."

While affirming Drewas' question, Rio tilted his neck slightly wondering how he could figure that out.

"By then, I had sensed the presence of a spiritual spirit that was only a few moments old but powerful. It could be like a resonant reaction between strong spirits. The spirits that sleep in you felt the same as the spirits of that time. A little, really, but that's when the spirits in you woke up. Do you have any idea?

"... No, I don't"

I put my hand on my mouth and although I tried to take it seriously, I didn't notice Rio.

"Mm-hmm. Really. I wonder if it would do me good..."

And Drewas said, as troubled.

To a light declaration of surrender, Rio slightly disoriented, as he clapped out.

"Dear Drewas, is it the High Spirit who sleeps in Lord Rio?

Arsula has asked there with her fearful mouth pinched.

"I don't think that's possible... It was more than a thousand years ago that the six ex-high spirits disappeared from this world. I don't think a new high-spirited spirit was born after that."

Drewas shook his head (wearing it) clearly to Earthra's question, even as he did something to think about it.

That was over a thousand years ago.

In an age when the human race living west of the Euphorian continent was not as prosperous as it is today, when magic did not exist and small nations were created and lived in detail everywhere, what can be termed a dark age, in such an era, the Six Wise God, the Seven Wise God, being conveyed among the people of the Spirit, appeared in the history of the human race.

And some forces appeared in those days, as if against the Six Wise God.

It is an army of demons led by demon kings.

When they emerged from the labyrinth that existed on the peninsula of death, the westernmost part of the Euphorian continent, they began their aggression to reign in the world, destroying everything on earth and obliterating the existence that should be their own obstacle.

Against it was a human race led by the Six Wise God.

Given more magical mastery methods and many artifacts by the gods, the armies of the human race engage in fierce strife with the armies of demons.

Historically, it was a war called the Divine Demon War, which was to be fought for more than a hundred years.

It has been told that no more detailed records have been kept of the war, but that a huge number of victims have been created, and that the majority of the magical artifacts called artifacts, which cannot be reproduced by current magic techniques, were made in this era.

And the Divine Demonic War in the west of the Euphorian continent could never have been irrelevant, even to the Spirit people who lived in the centre of the continent.

The battlefield has expanded, and the Demons have also entered the realm of the Spirit's people. The spiritual technique used by the Spirit people was powerful and repelled many demons, but many victims also took place.

The high spirits of the time, who were protecting the world, also feared that the Divine Demon War would spread on a global scale and would enter the Divine Demon War on the side of the Six Wise God and the human race.

The participation of the high-ranking spirits overwhelmed the Demon King's army into the western part of the Euphrian continent, but when it fell into the trap of the Demon King's army, all the high-ranking spirits disappeared.

Eventually, the war will come to an end with the advent of the brave men equipped with divine costumes that will shoot and destroy the demons.

and up to this point it is also a commonly known knowledge among the human race.

Rio thought that the high spirits that Drewas and the others were referring to meant those spirits.

"I know it's probably the same quasi-high spirits as me, but I can't even hear it because I'm in deep sleep."

Knowing that the Spirit asleep in him was a fairly high being, Rio had a strange feeling he could not speak of.

I can't even make it because I have no real sense that such a great being is in me at all.

"Can't you wake me up?

I wonder if I should wake up if I'm asleep, and Rio asks the question.

"You seem to be in a lot of deep sleep, so you think you're consuming a lot of power. It looks like you're recovering from absorbing your odds from the circuit you're connected to, so don't force it."

And, as he guided the sleeping Spirit in Rio, Drewas told him to teach.

"I see..., I get it"

There's still something I can't solve, but Rio nodded at Drewas' words. No, I had to snort.

"If you don't know about the child, you will be able to bond with the Spirit before you feel comfortable. Sleep is deep, but it's a lot more stable, so you must be recovering pretty well. I'd probably wake up in the not-so-distant future."

Drewas informed me of his predictions so that I could allay Rio's doubts at all.

In the end, knowing who the sleeping Spirit is inside me is going to be a send-off, but the current situation, especially if there is no other way to do it than to inconvenience it, Rio decided to throw it away for the first time.

"Nevertheless, I would never have imagined Lord Rio would be in a covenant with a human spirit. This could change Lord Rio's position inside."

And Earthra, who was silent to think of something, told him quietly, but with a good passing voice.

"Is it your positioning?

As he asks the sincerity of Earthra's words, Rio issues a question with a parrot back.

"Um, you know Lord Rio respected the Spirit. Therefore those who have a covenant with the Spirit will be placed in a special position among themselves. You've said so far. But the story will change even further if we make a pact with the spirits of high rank in the quasi-high-ranking spirits. Lord Rio may be treated as a saint among us. No, they'll make sure of it."

To Earthra's words, Sarah, Aufia and Alma nodded cocklessly.

"Uh, are you a saint..."

Imagine being made such a big deal out of it, even though I didn't do anything in particular, and Rio just got a little carried away.

"Ha, you don't have to get up to that. Rather, it's convenient for Lord Rio. Permission to come here was granted because Lord Rio had made a pact with some spirits. I hope you think it will be treated even better."

Karakara and Earthra laugh furiously as they blow Rio's worries away.

"But then even the next Spirit Festival..."

And Earthra started to bump and squeal like she was going to think of something.

On the other hand, at some point Drewas' interest seemed to turn to Latifah, speaking pleasantly with Sarah, Orphea, Alma and Uzuma alternating.

"You say Latifah. Lovely. I'll give you a blessing kiss at the next Spirit Festival, so look forward to it."

Drewas seemed to like the little animal-like Latifah thing.

"Yes! Regards!

Latifah returns her greetings with a full smile.

"Ha ha. That's really cute...... Hey, can I give you a hug?

With such a slightly lusty look on Latifah's face, Druas held onto Latifah with momentum.

"Huh? Yep!?"

Apparently you have a free personality as rumored.

Rio watched with a bitter smile Latifah hesitating to his naive Drewas attitude.
