Seirei Gensouki ~Konna Sekai de Deaeta Kimi ni~

Episode 44: Interview with Grandparents

Two days after the gowks came to the village.

From Ayame's past treatment, Rio's presence could not be made public, and it was decided that the meeting between Rio and the King and his wife would take place in secret.

Currently, Rio stays in the Royal Castle as a guest, and only the Gowkis and the King and their wives, who have guided Rio, know its qualities.

Because noise can arise when people are notified, they have not even taught their qualities to some of the upper echelons who know the circumstances.

And now, precisely, in a room in the royal castle of the Kingdom of Karaski, Rio was about to meet his own grandparents, the King and his wife, in secret.

Guided by Goki and Kayoko, as he stepped inside the room, Rio was greeted by King Homra and Queen Sizuk.

"Oh, you did, Rio."

With a smile of joy and a smooth voice, Homla uttered Rio's name.

Sizuk stares at Rio's face as he is impressed.

Until he met the two of them, Rio was turning his imagination to wonder what the hell they were like, but he had an unexpectedly casual impression on the couple, although it made them feel like something.

Its expression is soft, rotten (Ranlan) and behind its glowing eyes is a cage of compassion for Rio.

I couldn't help but notice that warm look, given the story that might be told first with a high probability, but Rio managed to get a calm look on his face.

"Ha. I'll see you first. My name is Rio."

Rio greets him as if he was awed by his horrible deeds.

I didn't see how nervous it was and it was a very calm tone.

"It's a reunion with my sweet grandson. It's not even an official place. Don't be such an impudent manipulation."

"Even so. You're our grandson."

The king and his wife had a troubled look on their face when they learned loneliness in what could be described as Rio's leeway.

Rio responds to the couple's words with a bittersweet look on his face.

Suddenly they tell me that my mother is royal, and if I am royal too, Rio's nerves are not fat enough to be able to imitate what I would wear on Kasashi.

Rio was overwhelmed with how to deal with it.

"If we say there's no confusion either, it'll be a lie"

You guessed Rio's thoughts like that, Homla said that in a smooth voice.

Apparently it is the same for the King and his wife who are confused.

"But I'm sure he's happy to have made the roundabout."

Saying, Homla had a soft grin.

Sizku is also nodding deeply to endorse it.

"Wouldn't you like to warm up the intimacy of a family you haven't seen for years first"

"Yeah, I have a lot to say, a lot to ask. We have limited time to meet closely, but let's talk about it."

Looking straight at Rio, the king and his wife gave a heartfelt, reassuring look.

"Yes."

I can suddenly feel the need to tell a heavy story from the start.

Though between the bundles, now I want to be ready for my mind to talk about it at all.

With that in mind, Rio broke up slightly and replied.

"Will you sit in your seat first?

"Yes, excuse me"

Homla recommends me, and Rio takes his seat.

Then, just saying they couldn't wait, the two spoke to Rio.

It's just an unusual story to be repeated.

As much as you are intentionally avoiding it, there will never be a topic about Ayame and Zen.

To the words that could be thrown from the two of them, in a calm tone, Rio was answering, without a slew of tension, occasionally overlooking a container with the tea served.

"Your atmosphere really resembles that of a shark."

Sizuk said with a calm grin whether he had now overlaid the shadow of his late daughter in the soft, quiet (nasty) Rio atmosphere.

Then, in the name of my mother, Rio opened his eyes slightly and looked at Shizuku.

"Is that so?

Though strangely questionable, Rio looks to Sizuk still.

Sizuk's appearance is still young thanks to his ability to handle spiritual arts.

Assuming Ayame was alive, that's about as good as it seems to make sense when it comes to older, away sisters.

He was someone I could imagine would become one of these women if Ayame, in Rio's memory, got older.

"Yes, it is."

Such a sizzle smiled at Rio.

Rio smiles thinly, too, as he is drawn to that soft grin.

This smile alone gives me a good idea of Sizuk's character.

Rio felt the shadow of his late mother in Sizuk.

"Will you let me hear it? About Ayame and Zen."

When he hit it and changed and tightened his face, Sizku mouthed the topic.

Never a question that comes from the point of interest.

Information that the two men have already died should have reached Homla and Sizku as well.

Though unaware of its specific cause of death, it should be easy to imagine that Zen and Ayame, who left the country for a distant Gentile land, would have lived a harsh life.

So I couldn't have asked a question with mild thoughts.

It was Shizuku who threw the question, but he can also peek into Homla's eyes.

"The two of them died because I was a masonry of childhood. All I know about my father is what my mother told me. I have some memories and ambiguous parts, but if you don't mind..."

And, as he resisted the movement of his heart that tightened his chest, Rio said.

"Of course you can"

"... ok"

Taking their sincere gaze and taking a small, deep breath, Rio spoke of Zen and Ayame without a shred.

The content is much the same as what I told Yuba.

Little can be said about Zen, and stories about Ayame will be central.

Homla gave a nostalgic look to the story of Ayame told by Rio, and Sizuk softly wept.

The story goes on, and eventually they will talk about Ayame's death.

"And my mother died when I was five."

Teaching the fact that he was murdered after the rape was still (silly), and Rio only told the result that he died abstracting the facts.

"When you were five…, then…, how did you live from it?

Sizuk asks roughly.

As for Rio, I thought I'd be asked if I could penetrate the cause of my mother's death, but apparently the fact that I was orphaned at the age of five has a stronger impact.

It was the same as when I told Yuba.

Rio realized he had a relaxing and reassuring self in his heart.

"... I'm an orphan. He lived in a slum in the King's capital."

Floating (hitochi), Rio spoke of the fact that he was once an orphan himself.

The couple is slightly overwhelmed by that statement, which does not make them feel any dissatisfaction with their own past conditions.

"Huh..."

But soon Sizuk looked like he was going to cry.

"Even so, I was an orphan until I was seven."

Tell Rio with a bitter laugh.

"Well... So how have you lived since you were seven?

Homla asked about Rio's life afterwards.

"Since I was seven years old, I've been attending an educational institution in that country under a few circumstances."

The topic moves on to nature and the Rio thing.

"Are you in an educational institution? My country also has such places, but the..."

It's not a very orphan place to go through.

Because those institutions were set up for some wealthy people.

Doesn't seem to make such a difference in any country.

I tried to ask it why Rio, who was an orphan, was supposed to go to such a place, but the nasty circumstances seemed clear and Homla clouded her words.

"I happen to have the opportunity to help the great people of that country, and I'm supposed to be educated in that relationship."

And, lay low for the details behind it, Rio explains how it happened.

"Well... you can be proud to have helped others in that way without adversity..."

I don't suppose he's lying, but isn't Rio hiding something?

Homla had such doubts.

Close your eyes thinly and explore if there is any change in Rio's expression.

But I could not read Rio's emotions, even with the homuration of a war that I have dealt with so many humans as kings.

In the meantime, Rio will also talk to Tao (at last) about his story at the Royal College.

Having to listen to Rio, Homla abandoned the question first.

Without touching on the fact that he was being bullied by the nobles in his college life, Rio focused on stories he had taken care of by Celia.

That's how Rio doesn't tell any hard stories, but there's no way a former orphan would be in a place like that and not struggle.

I realised faintly that Rio had not dared to talk hard, and the couple were listening with some sinister look on their face.

"Then, well, there was a lot of things, and I tried to mourn my father and mother in my homeland, and when I was twelve, I headed to Yagmo."

"... you've been having a really hard time"

Homla groaned as she roared.

I don't like the fact that Rio's birth is something amazing (at best), even if it's just abstracted and listens to the facts.

You should not even normally think about being orphaned at the age of five and crossing from Strahl region to Yagmo region to mourn your parents at the age of twelve.

Goki and Kayoko, who are listening in silence in the room, also have a difficult face.

"No, I'm really glad I came to this country. I was able to learn about my father and mother's past. It was worth coming to this country."

He laughed lightly and said in a clear and bright voice so as to dispel the uncomfortable mood that we would all be feeling together.

The homuras breathe in such a Rio grin.

"Right..."

Barely smiling bitterly, Homla meditated her eyes and pushed silently.

Never a short silence descends indoors.

Taking a deep, deep breath, Homla opened her mouth to ask about the fact that Rio was cloudy.

"By the way, I haven't heard about how Ayame died, regardless of Zen's cause of death. Can you tell me that story?

Cloudy means I don't want to tell you that.

I can predict why Rio would hide it, but Homla had to ask.

"... I don't think that's a very interesting story"

With the meaning of urging Homla and the others to be vigilant, Rio asked far away how prepared he was to be.

I was wondering if you really wanted to ask.

It's like hearing it would definitely make chest feces worse.

"We have to know that. We drove those kids out of the country, and we went through a lot of trouble."

"Yeah, we can't help but listen, even if we know it's cruel for you to tell us that fact. Sorry......"

faintly nodded, but in a calm tone that made him feel a strong will, Sizku said.

The couple also know that listening to it reminds them of a hard past and makes them uncomfortable with Rio.

Even though they found that to be a selfish choice, and thought they might be cursed by Rio, they nevertheless chose to ask Rio about Ayame's death.

"Really..."

And Rio squeaks weakly.

Meditate your eyes to bewilder something and take a small, deep breath.

"My mother... was killed. Right in front of me."

That's how he decided his mind, and Rio told the facts in the end.

"Huh..."

Though there was some anticipation, the homuras were devastated and could not hide the upset.

It is clear that they need to put aside time to contain that upset, but Rio decided to start talking about the circumstances at the time of his mother's death.

"First of all, the man who killed my mother is a man named Lucius."

Five years after Rio's father, Zen, died, Rio lived with his mother, Ayame, in a qualitative house in the Kingdom of Bertram.

Preceded by my beloved husband, the only thing left in Ayame is still baby Rio.

I couldn't leave my baby Rio to go outside even if I wanted to work, and I had to chop up my savings and live my life.

Fortunately neither Zen nor Ayame were squanderers, so there was enough storage to manage to live while Rio grew to some extent.

But life is harder than I expected, and I can hardly take my eyes off Rio even if I go for a little shopping.

It was an adventurer man by the name of Lucius who helped Ayame at that time.

Lucius and Ayame first met when they first visited the Adventurer's Guild in the Kingdom of Beltram.

And it was Lucius who took care of the Gentile Zen and Ayame, whose arms stood but were still unfamiliar with the land of the exotic.

Even when Ayame caged Rio, he actively introduced Zen to a good job and sometimes seemed to organize parties together.

At first glance it was Lucius with a conspicuously crude appearance of an insensitive beard, but the behavior was truly gentleman.

After Zen's death, Lucius assisted Ayame in his daily life raising Rio by himself.

I also remember that Lucius used to visit my mother.

He even played with Rio in a casual atmosphere.

But they were all acts.

One day when Rio turned five, he had some errands he really had to go out on, and Ayame would leave Lucius with Rio's babysitting.

On that day, Lucius turned into a ruthless person as people changed.

Shortly after Ayame disappeared, Lucius had a joyfully stained look on his face as if it had exploded the emotions he had held back until then.

Seeing Lucius's face up close like that, Rio lags behind without remembering his fear.

But Lucius stepped forward and kicked Rio's belly vigorously.

"Fuck."

Leaking a dull voice, Rio's body, still young, moves into the universe.

Immediately after that, a slight impact struck Rio's entire body.

"Hey, you can come in now."

Leaving Rio in agony with his belly, when he went outside the house, Lucius invited strange men into the house.

Rio looks at the sight with a hazy consciousness.

How could I have been kicked in the stomach?

Where did that gentle Lucius disappear?

"Doh... and... and?

His breath is constant, and Rio speaks of doubt.

"Why not? Hmm. It's up to you because you're eating."

Say, just that you got my will, Lucius distorted his mouth.

"That's why. Mr. Rio, why don't you take a nap?"

His mouth was blocked with a stained cloth of strange chemicals and Rio lost consciousness.

And when Rio woke up, Ayame was being offended by Lucius.

I didn't understand what Lucius was doing to Rio at the time, but I only found out that Ayame hated it.

When he realized he had woken up, Lucius continued to offend Ayame to make him look like Rio.

Ayame hated it, but if he told Rio that it would do him harm, he would have followed what he said in silence.

"Hey, dump this guy in the slam, but come on"

When Lucius' hand strangled him and Ayame died, and everything was irrevocable, Lucius told the man around him to dump Rio in the slam.

"Heh, don't you dispose of it?

A man asks looking strange.

"Dude, wouldn't it be funny if you did that? It's not harvest time yet."

"And is it harvest time?

To Lucius, who was in a good mood, the man raised his voice.

"If he survives, this guy might come to avenge me. Hey. It's super delicious when it comes to paying back guys like that."

"Ha ha..."

In a blurred consciousness, Lucius' dark grin stained with madness was pictured in Rio's sight.

Then, Rio was dumped in a slum, walking around the king's capital with vague memories and finally returning to his house, but the keys to the house were tightly closed and all his personal belongings were gone.

There is no more means to prove that Rio is Ayame's son than there is no decent family registry.

Thus, Rio wandered the slam for two years.

"That's it."

Smiling quietly, in a cold, pale tone, Rio marked the end of the story.

There is a dark atmosphere indoors.

Homla closed her eyes still shaking and Shizku was lying down and crying.

Goki has an angry expression on his face, and Kayoko has an icy, cold look on his face.

Rio stared at them like that.

"Rio, I guess you resent us for that... About us that made Ayame such a sight..."

Homla shrugged in a voice that pushed and killed some emotion all the way, as she couldn't stand Rio's silence.

"I resent you"

Without even a slight patrol, Rio ran out of words.

"Huh..."

He would also have been prepared to be scolded, but one word of it pierced the chest of the homuras deeply, and Vikri and his body shook him.

But the next word spoken for a few moments brings them back to reality.

"And maybe it's not a strange situation for someone to say, but I don't resent you."

Rio was smiling bitterly.

Homla and the others are watching with such a flattering face of Rio.

So why did Rio imitate the homuras in such a way as to surprise them?

Rio was frightened by the slightly out-of-the-box perpetrator consciousness of the homuras.

As much as I want to surprise you this way and do enough to set up moxibustion.

"I really don't hold a grudge against you."

Say, with a sad smile somewhere, Rio shook his neck left and right.

"As far as I heard from Lord Gouki about the situation at the time, sometimes my father and mother had no choice but to leave the country -"

Even though he was driven out of the country for Fujiko, Zen and Ayame should have left this country hoping.

Because if they didn't leave the country, they wouldn't have gotten married.

"Though I was short, I've seen my mother close to me..."

Rio knows.

Ayame didn't regret leaving the country, he said.

"So I can assure you my mother was happy. It must be a mistake to resent you."

Rio looked away, as he remembered with his mother.

Even when Zen died, Ayame never mourned his own life.

Ayame took care of the days he spent with Zen and put his love into Rio until Zen's minute.

When dealing with Rio and talking about Zen, Ayame's expression was really happy and full and he never showed Rio his spicy face.

You can't be sorry she left the country like that, let alone resenting the homuras.

Then it's off target that I resent the homuras.

It would be the person who killed my mother who should be resented.

"Oh well..."

To Rio's words, his body trembled, and Homla deeply nagged.

Now Rio's words pierced his chest deeper than he had been told earlier that he resented him.

I really can't help but learn how nasty I am at my helplessness.

"Ayame......"

Sizuk's sobbing voice echoes indoors.

No, it's not just Sizuk.

Everyone but Rio on this occasion had tears in their eyes.

How much time has passed that way?

Eventually the sizzling cry subsided, and the silence came indoors.

At one point, I raised the face that Homla was making me nagging...

"Did you say Lucius? Rio, that was about the man... Are you going to take revenge on that man?

Fu, I uttered those words, like I cut a weir (seiki).

That would be the emotion everyone would have if they had taken away their loved ones.

So it may have been inevitable that Homla threw this question.

"Yes."

He gave an unexpected look to the answer he had anticipated, and Homla exhaled deeply inside.

"Right...... I hate that man. But if that's the way to go, I have to tell you something."

Saying, Homla narrowed her eyes to see how ready Rio was.

"What is it?

Taking such a homra gaze head-on, Rio asks.

"Vengeance is not justice. Revenge sometimes calls for revenge. Do you understand that?

"Yes."

"Right, still kill me?

"Yes, if that man is still alive, I will kill him myself."

Without distorting his righteous face at all, in a calm and clear voice, Rio faintly expressed his own will.

There is no obsession trapped in revenge in those eyes, there is no such thing as lost consciousness, and I have never felt anything.

It is the eye of those who, knowing that absolute values do not exist in the world, decide to penetrate their own values.

"Right. Then Noon will stop revenge."

People's emotions are not light enough to flow beautifully.

If Rio had lost sight of himself, he would have made a statement that would have guided him not to go down the hard road as his grandfather.

But there's no point in imitating Rio like that right now.

Homla understood that in his years of living experience as king.

"... but I want to know if you are strong enough to accomplish that will. Why don't you work with the goki?

After a few moments of silence, Homla said that.
