Seirei Gensouki ~Konna Sekai de Deaeta Kimi ni~

Episode 128: Secrets and secrets.

I broke up with Venn, and the morning after Reyce flew away to the southeast.

Rayce had visited the city where Alleyn was a tentative hub of activity and had a close meeting with him in the dining room of a certain inn.

"How's the end, Alain?

"There's a lot of guys who know about the captain, but this guy's not always a big deal either. They weren't the kind of people who could attack a very knight and injure a few. For once, there's only one group of travelers with a catch..."

Confused by the adventurers eating breakfast in the dining room, Rayce and Alain engage in a secret conversation.

"Hmm, where did you get caught?

"Even if I knew about the captain, he didn't eat well. I pulled back slightly when this one went in, but it didn't even feel like I was interested at all. All the others were the ones who would react to the name of the captain and eat him with their good looks...... I'm sorry, it's not convenient."

Alain responded badly, feeling sorry for the unexpected.

"What, did you find someone like that? The number of candidates is narrowed down. Rather, you can say that the course is going well. You're doing great."

"Thank you"

"It's a fact. So I was able to get you to do what you wanted."

Talk, Rayce smiles emptiness.

"... what is it?

Alain tightened her face slightly as Rayce decided to ask for an important case when she looked like this.

"Don't get up like that. I'm just going to add a little something to my current assignment."

"And, okay?

"Do you know the First Princess of the Kingdom of Beltram?

"Yeah, well, I was born in the Kingdom of Beltram, so what's my name? Are you sure it was Christina?"

"Correct. Now the story is a public secret inside the Kingdom of Beltram, but the Princess Christina actually escaped from the royal castle."

When Rais mouths the information tightly, Alain glances.

"I mean, maybe, the Royal Beltram Army staying in Craia is searching for..."

"Eighty-nine, you must be Princess Christina"

"Uh, what are we scratching around in the shadows, but isn't this country about to be the limit?"

And Alain spoke with a bitter smile.

But Rayce shakes slowly or something.

"A creature called a country doesn't perish so easily. But as things stand, I have trouble getting the Duke of Albor to bear the political pain. Do you understand?

"Yeah, well, sure,"

"It's fast and helpful to understand. This is where the real deal starts. As it stands, the Royal Beltram Army, which is staying in Claire, is searching the streets of the north and east unbroken, but Princess Christina has not been discovered. On the other hand, the southern streets where we are are are almost abandoned by the National Army. That's for sure, isn't it?

"Yes, it is"

"Then, in the future, if you can't think of a search status over there, there's a chance that a search force will be sent to this street as well. But it will no longer be too late at that point. After more time, discovery is expected to be unlimited."

"I guess."

Alain laughed bitterly and agreed. Anyway, the more time passes, the wider the range that can be moved.

"So, just in case you're insured, I'd like you to explore Princess Christina's footsteps near here."

"I don't mind that, but so you're saying the task now is behind us?

"No, I can never say, but not necessarily that the person we're looking for has nothing to do with Princess Christina. It's just as good as it takes to suspect it's related."

Who they're looking for is, of course, Rio. Though the intrusion was nothing more than an inquiry, Reyce's inquiry was shooting straight at him.

"... that we should look into it in parallel?

"That's the thing. You will have a high probability of following your offering, so you will be acting in more than one person. Some of them may have spoken the name of the captain. The aim is to keep an eye on the travelers."

Rayce tells me that Alain has come up with a lot of ideas -,

"… I have an idea of a traveler who meets that condition. Everyone was hiding their faces in a robe."

And that's what I answered.

"Hmm. Where are those people now?

Reis squints his eyes small and engraves a grin on his nibble and mouth.

"I'm letting Lucci chase me. We headed east on a slightly southerly branch of the street from here, so I thought we'd be about a few hours away on Griffon by now."

Calculate the distance Rio and the others travel in the brain, and Alleyn answers.

"I see, east? Assuming that there is a first princess in that group, the purpose would be to enter the Marquis Rodin territory, but will we make a change of direction along the way from there and head north at the shortest distance, or will we proceed bypassing the eastern Kingdom of Galark...... The latter is troublesome."

Reyce narrowed her eyes softly and began her thinking with a bump and a grunt. In the meantime, Alain grabs a cup with fruit water, carries it in his mouth and moisturizes his throat.

So, after about a dozen seconds of plenty...

"Alain, for now, you must rendezvous with Luch."

And, in the meantime, Reyce commanded Alleyn.

"My pleasure."

Alain is commanded, but remains at the helm. Because that's his role.

"I can't help complaining to somewhat forceful means. Investigate the travelers Lucci is tracking to see if Princess Christina is here."

"... Assuming it was black, what should we do about it?

"What, as soon as I'm done with the wild, I'll join you. It will take about a few days, so I will give the instructions then. If those people are likely to cross the border of the Kingdom of Galark before I return, you can stop them at your discretion. You'll probably be fine."

Rayce speaks streamlinedly in a floating tone.

"I'm in awe. See you in a few days or so."

Nodding, Alain stood up softly. Return your heels and walk out of the store.

On that back, Rayce says, "I asked you," and speaks up.

(If you hit it, you'll make money. Shall I give that man (,,) some information as well)

Rayce stands up, too. In the end, I remained almost untouched by the breakfast served.

◇ ◇ ◇

The night Leis and the others secretly started acting.

Rio and the others had finally taken off Count Claire's territory and were visiting a certain city in the territory adjacent to the east.

I've already taken off the scope of the National Army search, so I'm staying in a slightly higher ranked lodging rather than the kind of lodging I've been staying in.

There was also an abdominal build-up to ensure that the fatigue accumulated on previous journeys was properly restored.

By the way, there has been no movement on Lucci following the Rio's and Isiah is still double-tailing them man-to-man and should be the hand to let us know as soon as there is any movement.

The first floor of the inn was made into a spacious, small and beautiful dining room, but the meal was to be eaten in the room at a special rate in order to keep it out of the sight of the guests.

"Not bad, but the dishes Lord Amakawa makes are better."

Christina shrugged her thoughts as the innkeeper put her mouth on the dish she put on the table.

"I'm afraid."

Rio hangs small and bows his head.

"Truth is, Hart, the food you cook is better. It fits our tongues, too."

"Sure, cooking in this world is a big deal. Delicious food tastes good, but it feels greasy, and I get tired of eating it every day."

Murayun Hota and his predecessor, Sachigi, agree with Christina, nodding yeah.

From there, Vanessa becomes interested in the dishes Kota and the others were eating in Japan, and the conversation spreads.

Then...

(Spring Man, a man named Alain joined a man named Lucci who had been following me. Now checking in at the inn right next to the Inn where the Spring People are staying)

Suddenly, Isiah's voice echoed in Rio's brain.

(... you know what I'm after?

Rio asks, slightly narrowing his eyes.

(Looking for their Spring Man, there didn't seem to be any other dizzying candidates. He acts assuming the Spring Man is the one who caused the noise in Claire. Apparently the strength of the Spring Man increased his credibility because Lucci was watching the Spring People and the Oak fight. Spring people seem interesting, so I'm talking about even soliciting them)

(... solicitation? To those mercenary regiments, you got me?

To the explanation returned from Isiah, Rio for a moment, his thoughts stopped. Go on, I'm going to look at you unexpectedly.

(Yeah. Strong people seem welcome)

(I see...)

If that's the case, maybe that fight was worth showing off to Lucci to attract attention.

Nevertheless, from Rio, Lucius' officials are most welcome to come closer, but now that we're on the run by pulling Christina and the others, it's just not a good time.

Let's just see how they get out, or we'll take the lead and set up an electric shock with solo action, just thinking about it -,

(And I suspect there might be a springman involved in a rampage in Claire when it comes to Christina's escape)

Isiah has shared even more important information.

Unexpectedly, Rio's thoughts come to an end.

(... there can't be any results where we looked for how much north and east streets. Thought it was time for the guys in Claire to change their minds.)

I didn't expect anyone other than the Royal Bertram Army to walk by in connection with Christina - Rio wonders what the Alains are really after.

(... you know why they're trying to find Princess Christina too?

Somewhat, Rio asked.

(I don't know. When Christina joins Restoration, it just means she's trying to stop them, because it's not good for them)

(Who are they really, they are...)

Lucius is a famous mercenary, but he has long disappeared from the surface stage.

But I came here to discover his associates. If the information we've got so far is correct, the Alains are probably either Lucius' mercenary companions or mercenary regiments' men.

What makes them try to stop Christina from joining the Restoration? Does that mean they are also in a position to engage in international politics?

For example, the Lions of Heaven (The Griffon), led by Lucius, is also likely to be employed by some country...

(They're about to take action soon. It doesn't feel like we're going to have some rough stuff going on right now, but be careful)

(Okay. I'll be careful. Isiah let me know if anything happens too)

(Yeah)

The unspeakable anxiety crept up in Rio, but when Isiah's reply, which had no discouragement, returned, my mind was slightly relieved.

The next day, Rio and the others left the Inn and began digesting again their journey to the Marquis of Rodin, the stronghold of Restoration.
