Seven Stories Village Challenges, Part II

As Bona put the wolf on the agenda as a village challenge, she was to wait for Mike to represent the village hunter.

No matter how modern knowledge Age possessed, he was no match for experience by the main occupation and land exploration by the locals, and his specialty fields were too different.

I don't want to see dangerous eyes like the last one with a bad suggestion.

It would be first and foremost left to the experts.

Originally they could have called it in today, but Mike hasn't been able to make it.

Nevertheless, we are all tolerant around here.

Swallowing white water, only Jirijiri and time passed, and Mike finally arrived when the waiting human began to rush.

Apparently, it was snowing, and my head was snowmake-up.

"Grandma kept me waiting."

"It's late. Did you even take a nap?"

"Well don't say that. We're still in a hurry, aren't we?

"Not at all. I have no choice."

I said it without any evil, Mike, but in this age of no clock, I guess being roomy in time is something I have no choice about.

I put it forward, but the clock in this village captures the approximate time with a sun clock and a chicken chirp.

Mike apparently came using a dog sleigh, and two dogs, Douro and Forte, came into the room.

Siberian husky's dog looked familiar.

"What about those kids?

"Oh well. You've seen Age before. It's Jello's kid. You've grown up."

"You look different..."

Time passes fast.

Even though he was still a puppy when Jello died, he is now a brilliant adult dog.

The lustrous bristles are still carefully brushed, I guess.

I asked Mike how cute he was.

Because I've been running, I've been breathing for a long time, but I've been jittery and groovy and good.

"Are you also working out as a hound?

"Oh, I don't have as much experience as Jello, but he's a brother and he breathes, so how to push him is very clever!

As Age approaches Douro and Forte, she can't wait to shake her tail with joy and stare with sparkling eyes.

I reach down and stroke him.

"Age, is it time to start talking?

"Ah, oh. Excuse me..."

"I understand. I understand. You're so cute."

Voiced by Bona, Age returned to me, dyeing her face red, and said, "Thank you."

I was in the middle of a meeting now.

After I'm done, I decide to make you look cute again, and concentrate on the meeting.

"Well, then, wolf control, Mike, shall we come this year?

"I don't know. At least I don't think they'll lean south and west where I manage. The north and east across the river are out of jurisdiction. I don't know."

"Were you sure the shepherds stopped by the woods last time?

"Right. Because they seem to have a good nose. You can close your eyes by accident."

"I'm already punished for being attacked."

Age remembered her former fears.

Surrounded by wolves in the dark.

Wolf breath heard from all directions.

I don't want to have that experience again.

It wasn't strange who the inhabitants died then.

Maybe even Mike, who's supposed to be the most reliable, wouldn't be alive by now if Jello hadn't.

"Is there any way to keep it from coming?

"Isn't it the only way to set a trap? I can make as many as I want."

"Is it that easy to catch the wolf one?

"If you're lucky..."

"Is it possible that even deer and pigs could be caught and fed by wolves?

"That's a lot."

"No, I don't know..."

Mike denies Age and Bona's fears.

Is there any good means?

"When I say Beast of the Woods, I don't mean I can walk as I please. Due to conditions such as prosperity, trees, stones and steps and swamps, the range of movement naturally becomes limited. That's why we hunters find that beast path and set a trap."

"So you're saying it's good if the wolves find their way through, right?

"Oh. It would be almost certain if it was shit too"

"Well, I'll give you the trap, so can you install it?

"I don't mind that..."

After that for some reason, Mike stared at Age's face.

What can I do for you?

I had a bad feeling about Age, but I regretted not following that intuition immediately.

"You can help me out anyway."

"Yep......!?

Anyway, I've been asking Age to set up a trap.

It's hard for Mike to find a beast path in the depressed woods.

Look for footprints that sink snugly from the rotten soil.

Consider what animals from depth, size, and stride.

It would be easier if I found it, but that first step was tough.

Even though...

"Look, Mr. Mike, isn't this wolf shit?

"Ooh... well done!

"Hey, if I happen to have eyes, there was"

I wonder why we'll find this guy soon.

My experience as a hunter gives me an approximate gaze, but it's not something that amateurs can find so easily.

That's why Mike was stunned that Age, who was supposed to be a blacksmith, immediately found him.

You may say your spine trembled.

You do great things, but only you don't realize it.

Ahehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe

He was a strange man.

I can still vividly recall the day Mike first saw Age.

Tania, adorable as a sister, has carried a fallen man from nowhere.

He said, when I felt like I heard a voice and headed, there was this guy.

I don't mind helping, but I desperately stopped when I said I would protect you in my own house.

Because no one can predict what action a woken man will take.

But rarely, really rarely, Tania refuses to give this advice.

When I didn't say I would take care of myself, I really came.

In the end, persuasion ended in failure, promising to let myself know as soon as I woke up, and once I saw how things were going.

I don't know what the hell attracts Tania so much, but as far as the current friendly couple life is concerned, I guess the eyes I see were certain.

Or was it love at first sight?

Awakened Age was a strange man.

At first I was confused about doing anything and thought he was a lot of a dull guy.

Now I remember different feelings.

Age says nothing about her past, so I can only imagine.

But if you look at what you've done, what you've said, what you can tell.

At first, Mike imagined that Age might have escaped from another village on this island.

That's what he thought amnesia was a bright red lie, actually to keep him from finding out who he was.

Unless it's a neighboring village, it's not that easy to figure out who you are.

But that changed my mind quickly.

Age did not know satisfactorily what even children would naturally know if they were villagers.

As much as I wonder how he lived.

And a wealth of knowledge and technology I've never seen or heard of.

With something like that, it would have been a natural rumor if we were on this island.

In other words, Age will have come from outside this island.

It would also be the birth of a fairly wealthy, stately house.

Age must be unable to do what she does around herself because she didn't have to.

There was probably a caretaker.

I thought it would be a clan of lords or something like that.

Evidence of this is what he does to coach the field.

Where is there a craftsman with that knowledge?

Either that's because we lost some kind of feud, or we got to leave.

The attitude of repelling the war by the extreme could only be accepted as so.

Perhaps Age can't tell you the truth no matter how much she asks.

The more I ask, the more I get stubborn and shut my mouth.

So Mike was going to wait for Age to tell me the truth.

Nevertheless, there was only one hole in this idea.

Ever since our own ancestors, we've heard so much about someone else coming to this island.

How the hell did Age get to this island?

That was the only mystery I could ever solve.

"Mr. Mike, we're ready to set up a trap."

"Whoa, I'll do it. Let's cover it with thin dirt and hide it."

"Okay."

Don't get caught off guard.

"Ha, you're not Mike, and I'm not gonna be such a wuss."

"I told you, let's do this!

I don't know how effective a trap called Travasami made by Age would be.

But I'm sure this is how this man will spare no effort to penetrate all kinds of knowledge and technology that he knows and become passionate about the development of the village.

So I want to help you no matter what.

That's what Mike thought.

And if you can, I'd like to hear about it once and for all outside this island.
