Section 5: Into the Ruins

"hehe... what the hell, this air..."

A patty and flying Laplice climbed a bit over the head of the unicorn, which was no longer in place, groaning the most like an opening.

There was little wind in the ruins, or the air was precipitating. It was 300 years ago that this was a pit. Nowadays no one steps into it and it has become a nest of animals and monsters.

Width enough to allow a person to walk with three hands wide and height enough to remain across a unicorn. Although there was reinforcement by wooden columns at equal intervals, the possibility of collapse shook my head when I saw walls and ceilings collapsing by the way.

"It's convenient not to have a pine light."

That's what Toslin, who walks forward, said as he cautioned forward.

"It's good to have you, isn't it? Thank you."

And, Laplice says with her chest outstretched, because her body constantly emits pale light and is a pine light substitute.

I'm not sure that's all there is to the boulder, but there are unicorns now. She also emits white light, just like Laplice, illuminating her surroundings brightly. In particular, hyenas (freckles) and tails are several times more luminous than laplice, and can be seen tens of meters away.

"Yeah, really... that would help"

Toslin gave that answer back to Laplice, who was good at it. Inside her armor, the fairy feathers are sealed. After receiving it, Toslin was returning her honest answer to Laplice, as if it was a lie that had been hanging out until then.

"... what the heck. I don't mind, but I'm not comfortable with this."

"What, you want me to covet it from my head again?

"Next time I do it, I'll kill you."

Light mouth (right?) I hurriedly dropped my gaze to the map I was spreading on hand, looking behind my head at Toslin and Laplice, who were close to beating each other.

"It's time for your first split."

Continue along the path to the hall where the altar is located in the shortest possible time, checking the map again and again.

"Is that it? This... what noise?

But a little bit, I heard a bark earlier, and I freaked out my body.

"Oh, don't worry about it."

Toslin stroked the wary unicorn's nose.

"Whatever you say, this is animal ambition, right? Aren't you the enemy?

"I'm not the enemy. That's Goltmund."

"What, Gortmund!? But... I can hear you arguing."

Toslin's story was that Goltmund was somewhere a little wider ahead. That's why I was wondering if I was keeping you waiting there... If you think about it, why haven't you come with me?

"You still have a lot left."

"What, are you fighting? Goltmund alone?

The idea came to my mind that I was injured for a moment and couldn't move, but Toslin denied it. And with an answer that goes diagonally up the anticipation.

"Why didn't you tell me!? I would have been in a hurry if I knew that!!

"It's okay. He survived a dragon fight, too. You won't die softly."

From Toslin's words, there was an unparalleled trust. But that doesn't change my concern. Faster pace and go check on Gortmund's safety.

"Brrrrrrrrrr, gooooooooooo!!

Illuminated by the light of the unicorn was the figure of Goltmund, who protruded his horns with a growl and blew out his snow bear.

At his feet were a dozen snowwolves, and a few snowbears. The snow bear that I poked at earlier was slammed against the wall and doesn't move. Then a shadow spirit appears from the body......

"Gwwwwwww!!

The protruding legs lightly misted the Spirit.

"Something freaker than when I saw it before, huh?

Yeah, I just thought the same thing.

"Ambitious and above all"

"I was fighting here with that kid, too, until just now. Suddenly the enemy ran off somewhere, so I left them here."

"Grrrrrrrrrr......"

Goltmund turned to us when he saw all the enemies stopped moving. Then they come rocking the nose and the giant.

"Ooh, it's been a long time, Gortmund. Remember me?

Laplice flies from the head of the unicorn to the head of Goltmund.

Goltmund seems to remember Laplice, leaving his hair to be washed as-is without any particular vigilance.

"Oh, you've got your hair dirty again. I need to wash him properly when I get home."

That's what I say. Toslin, who rips off Goltmund's body, says, 'If Goltmund hadn't been here, he would have frozen to death'. Indeed, it is colder in the cave than outside. Cold air comes up from the bottom, as if you were being ice laid at your feet.

"Goltmund, I'm glad you're safe..."

Get off the unicorn and let me stroke Gortmund too. I think my face got kind of tough while I didn't fit in for a few days. Does the fact that you are able to defeat all these snowbears by yourself mean that this child is also a little on the level?

"Hey Iris, don't you have something to tie?

"Something to tie? Uh... I'd have a rope for once."

"It's not like that, it's a thinner guy"

"Then you should use this."

As I was fishing in my bag, Saluena unwrapped the ribbon on her collar and gave it to Laplice.

"Whoa, bruise. Gortmund, don't move for a while, okay?

That's what Laplice says, wrapping a ribbon around the corner of Goltmund. While plugging your own feathers in between that you just pulled out.

"Okay, now don't worry about dropping it"

Laplice looks at his work and nods satisfactorily. Yeah, yeah, sure looks fine with this. It's kind of like being a girl, but that's what it means to have patience for a while.

"It's Goltmund. I'm going to save the Lord more than this. Will the Lord come with you?

Goltmund is a smart kid who listens carefully to Mr. Rose. So even though it's hard to understand everything, I guess I somehow know what Saluena is talking about.

"Grrrrrrrr......"

I don't usually hear it, the bottom of my stomach shuddered low voice returned. Goltmund then breaks his foreleg and lowers himself.

"All right, good boy. Well, let's go defeat my best balls."

When Toslin rides that back, Goltmund rises well.

Put a quiet fighting spirit in those eyes.
