Section I Dungeon Exploration

We were in the basement of the castle in the early morning, when the morning sun still wouldn't even rise.

Oh, even if I say underground, it's not like Laplice's bad mouth finally got him into the barn, huh?

"Well, please."

We are about to set foot in a vast dungeon stretching beneath Auschnell at the request of Eleonora School.

"Let's do everything we can for what we've undertaken"

"It's comforting to say that to the knights of Dark Purple."

"I'm the one who named me that, but now I'm the knight of the goddess. I want you to call me Saluena."

"Well, it's an honor to call you by name. Then Dear Saluena, the wasp thing is with Yuhanna... no, you've already called it. Phew..."

This is a fortification-like building in a painting of the castle's large back yard, on its third basement. Many sturdy iron doors in that fort, tightly guarded by the knights for twenty-four hours. And further down the long, long stairs behind it.

It is as large a space as the room we are allowed to use, with a boneless but seemingly sturdiest door in the fort in front of us.

"Rosalis is going with care, too, right? It was a long time ago that it was a low-level dungeon that only showed up to the extent of goblins. Now the monster is a big walking cave, isn't it?

"Yes, I did. Auntie."

"I told you, I'm not particularly worried about you guys at the Orange Rank Adventurers' Party."

That's what Yuhanna said and laughed as the sound of Patti and Matsuaki exploded.

"If it's true, I have to go... I'm really sorry I left you guys to do this."

The next person who spoke to us was Lady Eichel.

Is it because of the addition or subtraction of the light of the pine light that you seem to have the same sad expression that you had when you first met me?

"If I were you, I'd have no choice."

"So why do you speak without thinking that? Yikes!!

Toslin grabs Carol's mouth gaggedly and mumbles.

"Haha...... fine fine. I'd rather you didn't hesitate to treat me. Because we're already friends. Right?"

Nevertheless, the tone of Master Eichelle on his back is a lot shattered by the look on his face. Even though it just seems hard to say royalty, you're spending even more time faking your gender, so I also know that look stains you.

I hope we're relieved of that effort at all.

"Uh, yeah... well, yeah... But this is the one that keeps up, so I was wondering if it would be necessary to draw a single line."

"It's Iris."

Dear Eichelle, who laughs at the usual fights between Toslin and Carol. It was Ritzereich who slipped his face from behind her.

"Wow, what is it? There he is."

"Of course you are."

"What are you doing here, you pervert?"

Laplice looked out of my hair picocheting and greeted Ritzereich as he approached me with his usual spicy (shiny) words.

"Don't be so vigilant. We can't push them down in a place where there's no bed like this."

"Does the bed push you down? I knew you were a pervert."

"Say hello. He came all the way out here to give me this."

That's what Ritzereich took out were his magic guided glasses.

"Oh, you're done repairing it already?

"Mm-hmm. I fixed the frame distortion and left the core on. The amount of magic consumed should be considerably curtailed. Even so, it's still an unusual consumption, so don't ever let anyone else use it, okay?

"Yeah, okay. Thank you, Ritzereich."

Receive glasses from Ritzereich and try to put them on quickly.

It used to take a little while to start up, but the modified one. This formed the lens in an instant and the vision quickly became clearer.

"Wow, wow, this is amazing after all"

"You fixed your glasses. Thank you, Mr. Ritzereich."

Mr. Rosé came when he wore glasses and was kicking around.

"I don't mind. Nothing makes more sense than a useless tool. If this is how Iris uses it, that's the happiest thing for a tool. Plus, I wanted to put on new features."

"What, a little clairvoyant!? Did you put that on?

Make sure you're inhaled naturally. Your gaze turns to Mr. Rosé.

"So why are you looking at me, Mr. Iris? Huh!

"Oh, I'm sorry! No, but I don't see it!

"I don't know what I'm mistaken about, but it's the cat exploration feature that's new."

"... cat...?

"Cat?"

"Um, not a cat. If you wear those glasses and remember, you can detect a cat nearby. Is that convenient?"

Ritzereich arms with a masterful look.

Speaking of which, even when I first met her at Sorletta Ritta, I got a ribbon that the cat likes me, and I don't have to...

"Do you like cats, Ritzereich?

"Ugh, I love it!!

... Apparently.

A thousand years ago, a place where heroes Lano Route and Evil Dragon Auschnell had their final showdown. That's where we're stepping in now.

That dungeon, said to be the oldest in the country, is wider than I thought, enough that I can afford to walk alongside Gortmund.

The walls are made of stone, but they look so brand new that they don't make you feel any history of a thousand years.

Carol said that mold usually grows, moss (koke) and stuff thrives, but there's nothing like that here.

The air is also not starving and fresh, and I don't feel breathless at all. It's just...

"Sa, it's cold..."

In the spring, temperatures are getting warmer by the day. But the cold here has nothing to do with outside temperatures, and maybe this is what it looks like all year round.

"What's the basement floor now?

Carol, who walks the lead, says it's his usual light outfit, but he doesn't look particularly cold. Even I tremble, relatively resistant to the cold, and she moves on with a firm foothold.

"Fifth floor, right? There must be a staircase down to the sixth floor."

Mr. Rosé answered that with one hand the map he kept from Ritzereich and then looked back at me walking behind him.

"Mr. Iries, if it's cold, may I lend you my coat?

"Oh, it's okay. No problem. I think maybe a little more walking will warm you up."

After that, Lady Eichel dropped us off, and we dived into a dungeon in the Auschnell basement.

My first full dungeon quest as an adventurer began in a surprisingly easy-going air, but my biggest enemy right now is this cold.

"Really? Please don't push me."

From Mr. Rosé's Togetgemeis, who smiles at him for saying so, there is already a drip of potato and red liquid.

That is, needless to say, blood, and what's more, it belongs to the goblins we ran into by the time we got here.

So far I've had about five monster raids, but all five of them were low-level monsters such as goblins.

They're the ones who come at me asking for numbers, but not the enemies of Mr. Rosé, who became the adventurer of the orange ranks, no matter what, two months ago.

Thanks to you so far I'm just watching and I haven't done anything.

(... If I could use any magic other than the Book of Magic, I could do more for everyone...)

Phoenix in Little Bird Condition - Calling Carol's name 'Phoenix' and having her fly over her head. When I had it burned up with a little more firepower, the ambient temperature increased a few degrees.

"Oh, that's good. Unlike some loud fairy who's warm in the bright side, it helps."

"What the hell!? I guess I'm doing it in the light too!!

Responding to Toslin's light mouth, Laplice was freaked out as he relaxed across Uniguru. And bark for advice.

Running a chocolate chocolate uniguru, Saluena snapped quietly as Lapris, approaching Toslin's feet, screamed gangster.

"But you're a bigger monster than I was talking about."

"Oh, speaking of..."

Rizzelaich and Yuhanna said it was a higher-level nest of monsters, but so far I've only seen goblins and stuff.

"Doesn't it just so happen that there's a high level monster out there? Well, still, I get a good reward."

A dozen more steps down the stairs.

I'm just starting to get credible with Carol's words.

"Hmm? Wait. Everybody stop."

Carol stopped to take the lead.

"Apparently, it's the real deal here."

That's where she pointed.

There stood two knights looking up at each other as if they were blocking the way.
