Section Eight: Anytime, Anywhere

"The contents are changing... is that possible?

I have used my position as a bookstore daughter to read hundreds of adventure novels. I'm overstating that it's the best thing in the world, but I'm definitely more proud to read than normal people.

But even for me, I've never seen or heard a story about changing the contents of a dungeon.

"Ainya. It's been quite a while since I've been in and out of the Bandit Guild, but I've never heard such rumors ~"

Carol stops from time to time, but takes her feet without hesitation.

"... but have you changed? The structure."

Carol's keen hearing picks up the whining directed at her.

"... Yeah, that's unusual. The trap that was almost disarmed and dead last time is back... no, it's not back, this..."

Carol stops pitched again and crawls to the floor. And he closes one eye and looks at a point on the floor jiggly.

Remove the metal bars from the lumbar pouch and tap the floor with the cone.

"You're feeling like you brought exactly what was there. It's too much of a blend, even if it's back together. Oh, don't step here. 'Cause I think if I step on it, it'll probably explode or the floor will fall out."

Carol said so lightly, placing a coin nearby as a landmark.

"Bring it, how do you bring the trap?"

"Come on? I don't even know about Atashi"

To Toslin's inquiry, Carol returned that briefly.

Then put the tools back on the porch and start walking again.

"But it's actually happening, so I can't help denying it. Adventurers have to believe what they see for now. I don't know why, but after that."

I guess that's Carol's philosophy as an adventurer. As with footsteps, I said that out in an unmistakable tone.

On the other hand, my master, Grandpa Ferdinand, preached the importance of doubting me by saying that he would betray even what was visible.

I'm sure they're both right.

Carol has Carol's, and Grandpa has the right answers based on Grandpa's experience.

Instead, you can have as many correct answers as you want. We're a party, so we all just have to turn to each other and play their part.

"... you said something that sounded rare and decent to you"

Carol stopped again as Toslin crushed his shoulder.

And I look back at Kurli. Put a smile on your face that spreads like a fever.

"Heh, wasn't that a little cool right now? Did you fall in love? Did you fall back in love? Hmm? Hmm??

"Ugh. A little compliment and this is it. Just look ahead."

Dokah, Toslin releasing a kick that also blew the golem into Carol's ass.

"Grrrrrr!!

Carol flies with a crunchy parabola.

"Holy shit! Mr. Carroll, land magnificently!!

But I put myself in a pitched position in the air and landed really nicely to show.

Toslin kicking it off without hesitation is toslin too, but I thought it was pretty weird that Carol would blow it up by making it look like she'd taken it yet. Not in a good or a bad way, but as a fact.

"That's what happened when I interrupted your room, but you guys are in the dungeon."

You say that with a bitter laugh, just like Master Achel did then.

"It's a kind of talent to dance brightly. It would be nice if the White Lily Knights had one Carol as well. Everybody's too serious. I get tired sometimes."

"Oh, you're an asshole when you're with us, but you're fucking serious when you talk to your own team."

"I'm supposed to have a bright, tea-eyed, loving personality, but the one from Yuhanna won't let that happen. Ha, I want to forget about the White Lily Knights and the school and immerse myself in research. Or how happy I would be if I didn't think about it and spent the whole day relaxing and flirting with Iris..."

Chill, chill, look back at me, Rizzelaich. I sighed sighing, and the aura is coming out of my whole body.

If this is the little girl on the outside, I'll give you about a nadenade in the head, but they're older than me.

"There's no way I'm gonna let you and Iris, the lewd (obscene) walking thing, get together. I want you to go to the hospital and change the contents of your head."

"Oh, haha... hey, you two are close"

Dear Eichel...... He says he's in a nasty capacity, but he's caught between Laplice and Ritzereich and he's been made to act as an arbitrator.

Leaving the two of you alone is prolonged at that rate, so if you leave it like this, by the time you get to the deepest part of the world, you may be distressed by stomach aches.

"It's Carol, by the way. Is this the way?

"I was wondering too, are you sure you don't have a map?

When the sisters at the rear say so, Carol answers the lead.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Even if the structure changes, the smell of the place once passed remains."

"Whoa. You know, following the smell, you're a dog after all"

"What, Atashi is a wolf!

Laplice and Carol repeat the kind of interaction we've seen before.

"There's no wind and no rain here, so there's no reason to follow the smell. So don't worry, follow Atashi. Hey, I'm glad you had a Atashi. If I hadn't been there, I'd have had a week to get to the deepest part of the world."

"When you tell me to feel safe or something, you're upset the other way around."

"Oh, I can see that."

"What the hell!?

When Toslin is added there, the conversation loops between these three now.

When I saw it and heard it, Lady Eichel put her hand on her mouth and now she had a bright smile on her face.

So I went about two hours on the road without anything.

Speaking of events, would it be enough that Toslin and Carroll changed the color of their eyes and stormed off on the way over and Carroll's tail was about to burn, or there was a fresh Bold Loire (which Carroll seems to have been able to say)?

There were about six Bold Loirets out there, but all of them had been cut or crushed by Toslin and robbed of gems that were splinters all over his body by Carol.

Toslin's sword is so far less like a change than it was before the modification. I knew I was worried about the gem on that patterned part, but now I'm just quietly reflecting the light.

"Hey, big fish, big fish. If you get so many gems on a regular basis, why don't you just leave this dungeon alone?

Carol said, happily holding a leather bag filled with gems.

"I'm not talking about assholes. There's a city and a school up here, isn't there? Try to find out that high level monsters like Bold Loire are walking wide, and it's imperative that there's havoc."

"Besides, it's not always the case that a high-rise adventurer like you will be in King's Capital."

"Oh well. I'm not really aware of it, but when it comes to Atashi and the others, they are."

"Until a while ago, I was short of money and I couldn't say..."

"I think that's just Mr. Toslin..."

"It was already an orange grade when I met those guys. You wanted to see Rosa then, too. It would have been so cute."

"Oh, Sister Sally. And now it sounds like you're saying it doesn't look that way?

……

I wish I had spoken out to fix Mr. Rosé's mood all the time here, but on the contrary, Saluena can swim her eyes with cold words and a smile back.

As far as I can tell, no one but Mr. Rosé makes Saluena look like this. After all, I guess the presence of Mr. Rosé is special to Saluena.

"Oh, that's not true. That sounds beautiful and cute now. Rosa, as the flower name suggests."

"Thank you. Had it not been used by women other than me, I would have been happy with the words. Too bad."

……

I don't suppose there's an island for this kind of thing.

"Um... Mr. Rose, Saluena, you know, it's about time... right?

Two hours already diving into the dungeon. I think it's time I helped Saluena.

I've tried to ignore it so far, but just like Eichel, who was sandwiched by Laplice and Rizzelaich, my stomach will fit in when I start screaming soon.

"... Mr. Rosé, um... it's time for you to forgive Saluena"

Mr. Rose is usually so sweet, but once he gets angry, he's already scared. I also know because I have had one experience in Sorletta Ritta that pissed me off. I think the closest expression to the status quo is the feeling of being spiritually frozen, not physically.

"... Mr. Iries? No, but..."

"Yeah, I know. Saluena is a woman and her hands are fast, and you're really pissed off watching her."

"Is that what you say?

"Huh?"

"No, nothing."

Somehow Laplice told me that unexpectedly, but not me and Saluena? I don't kiss the back of my hand when I see a pretty girl, or draw her into the East Room and whisper love.

At best, it's holding hands and hugging, but that's not all, it's from me.

So me and Saluena are different.

"But as for yesterday, I think Saluena might have thought about us. I thought it would relax us by not summing up the Knights' tradition and refraining from exploring..."

"No, that's in the tradition of the Knights of the True Goddess."

"Shut up."

"Sorry."

Kicked, Saluena closed her lips and raised her hands.

"... ha, I get it. We can't let Mr. Iris bother you."

"Rosa? So..."

"Yes, it is also true that thanks to your sister the air in that place has always been soothing, and this time I forgive you"

"Oh, Rosa..."

"But in the future, in front of Mr. Iris and Mr. Carroll... beware of mundane behavior."

"Hmm, if that's the case, let's be careful. We shall confine ourselves to the extent that we are allowed to drink."

Do you understand the underlying reason that Mr. Rosé is angry about Saluena?

Mr. Rose is angry because he's messing with another woman in front of him, isn't he? You know what I mean?

"... ha, that's fine. Now, please do so."

"Uhm. That's right. A world without a smile equals a darkness where light is lost. I swear here and now that I will always strive for that beautiful smile to be directed at me."

Saluena took Mr. Rosé's hand and kissed its back.

"... your sister has no choice"

"Take it as a compliment"

"... wah, wah... Something amazing behind it...... Me, I... Should I be blocking my ears?

"Beginning."

Dear Eichel, who is blushing in the aftermath of the sweet atmosphere emitted in the last row. When Laplice threw the usual words at her like that, Carol, leading the way, raised her hand.

"Yes, it's time to turn your attention forward. Apparently, there's an enthusiastic fan waiting for us."

That's what Carol said and pointed to the one ahead.

Katoon, Cancun. Katoon, Cancun.

Then out of the darkness, I heard a familiar sound.
