Section IX: What floats

The next day, we headed to Mr. Lambrick's mansion first thing in the morning.

Leaving the Inn, turn right onto Fountain Square in the center of the city and walk technologically along the boulevard stretching west. People become sparse as they leave the center city, although it is partly due to the time of the morning. And instead, it is the people on the strong side who seem to be more of Mr. Lambrick's men.

"I'm kind of nervous again. We're not gonna get there today and start a duel or anything early, are we?

The last time I came here was two days ago. At that time, I felt surrounded by scared people, weapons confiscated and half prisoner escorted.

"You don't have to worry. I had plenty of moisture yesterday. Probably making out for the next few months."

It was Saluena who vomited such noisy words with a cool look resembling morning air.

"Hey, what did you do to Mr. Lambrick?

Naturally I listen back instantly, but all I came back with was a meaningful grin.

"I just made plans and let them know there's a top up there."

Toslin answered me instead...... no. That's not what I'm trying to say.

No matter how much Mr. Lambrick is a battle freak, he's by far the greatest man in the city. It's tough on the day you make a mistake and let it be a major injury. It could be annoying to Master Alitesa and the Church at worst.

"I said please in a single way..."

"The world isn't full of toslins."

"Hey, I hear you, Saluena."

"Ladies and gentlemen, we will soon arrive at the Mansion."

While Toslin and Saluena were twisted, I could see Mr. Lambrick's mansion, as your sister said. Unlike the other day, the gates are already open and a few gatekeepers and thinkers stand.

"Iris. Don't leave me just in case, though I know you're okay. All right?

"Yes, sister"

I replied well and I rushed to your sister's side.

Last time they confiscated the weapon at the entrance, but that didn't happen this time, and it was almost bare. He was escorted straight to Mr. Lambrick's office.

By the way, I have Laplice with a bad mouth in my bag because the story could get twisted. Naturally, I was reluctant when I made the suggestion, but when I made the all-you-can-eat confectionery glimpse, I dived into the momentum. with Mippo.

"I told you to come anytime, but isn't it too early for a boulder? This one's just starting to eat breakfast, right?

Mr. Lambrick was sitting on the chair at the back of the room, eating breakfast and coming.

"There's a situation here, too. Are you the one who delayed this? If it's true, I thought I'd push it last night."

"I can't get the ship out if I can't finish what ends that early. Why? Let's just hear it from your progress, shall we? Yeah, over breakfast, but give me a break."

We told Mr. Lambrick about what happened yesterday.

"... Mr. Saluena told me yesterday, but I didn't know that legend was incomplete. That doesn't mean you won't find it no matter how much you look for it."

"There was a literature miraculously written about it in the church. Based on the investigation, I was able to figure out about half of it."

"... hey, that's amazing. So we want a map of where the light of the holy flower illuminates and a ship out."

"I know it's an unsolicited request..."

"Oh, stop it. Stop it. If the Great Cleric lowers his head, the breakfast won't go through his throat."

Mr. Lambrick rang the bell placed on his desk chillily. Then my men brought the map better and spread it over the table we were surrounding.

"You're ready."

"I didn't make you bring it specially. I always use it though. Well..."

Mr. Lambrick took a seat after breakfast and joined our circle.

"Where is the intersection of that light?

The expanded map covered not only this city of Fretelli, but also the surrounding deserts, cities and even islands in the sea.

"Mostly around here."

The point where Saluena fingered. That was where the desert, the rocks, and the sea mixed.

"Oh, here it is. There's a rocky place and we need to make a little detour, but we can't even get there from the sea. Look, there's gonna be a sandy beach near this rock, right? I can get on a boat here. I mean, I wouldn't recommend walking in the desert before you get used to it. Especially... you."

"Yes, is that me?

Suddenly my sharp eyes turned and I was freaked out.

"That's right. The case is here in Zara that a little like you didn't come back into the desert alertly. If you don't want to die, you don't have to step into the desert."

"Yes...... I remember my liver..."

"I mean, you can often be such an adventurer in (...) Ri (...)? Or are you Monsieur Saluena or a servant of the Tothrills?

"No, Iris is an adventurer, too. Freshly."

"Ha, really? I don't know what to say, but you look like a normal city girl to me. Are you working out?

"Ha, ha! For a while now, a little bit at a time..."

I see Mr. Lambrick's saluena. I'm concerned about the mix of confusion in his eyes, but it's not the kind of atmosphere where you can ask why. I am like a frog stared at by a serpent, stiffened with dandruff and sweat on my forehead.

"Well, that would be nice. Oh, yeah. What do you want me to do, train you? Once you're on your boat and you're on a voyage, don't you like it, but you'll get strength? That nagging face will make you look like a warrior when you come back. Well, maybe I'll screw you along the way."

"Ku, tubba...... Huh!? You mean die!?

"That's right. The sea is more dangerous than land."

Karakara and Mr. Lambrick laugh, but I don't laugh. Oh, this is a joke, right? You really don't think about putting me on a boat, do you?

"It's an invitation, but Iris is a wizard, so that's not true."

"Hey, are you a wizard? People don't see it."

Did you hear the scream in my heart, or my sister gave me a help boat. Thank you, sister, I love it.

"Can we get back to this? Now I know you can go from the seaside to where you want, but that leg is also lamb brick, which means you can get it out, right?

To Toslin's words, Mr. Lambrick nods.

"Because I promised Mr. Saluena. Hey. Just like I said, I'm here. Don't be ridiculous. The ocean's been rough lately and I barely went outside. We have to inspect the hull, sort the sailors, load the food and ammunition."

"How long does that take?

"I'm just letting my men do it all night. But still, it'll take another half day."

"Half a day...... Then the departure will be at night. From there, as another half day, is it almost tomorrow morning that we get to our destination?

"Well, you are. Saying you need a detour doesn't mean you'll be that late. You should be able to wear it about that much. If we don't get in the way of monsters and pirates."

Mr. Lambrick drew a new line on the map, indicating the sea route. Because the route along the coastline is also a route for merchant ships to and from, pirates rarely surrender. You think it's Mr. Lambrick's main job to exorcise it?

"Yes, thank you very much then. That's about all the reports and requests from us..."

Then it's your turn.

When Mr. Lambrick rang the bell again, now his men with a bunch of letters and thoughts came in.

"Dark Elf info, did you get anything?

In Carol's inquiry, Mr. Lambrick turned to an illegible true face of intent. The thread of tension, which had been loose, was pinned again only until then.

"... you know what?

"No, unfortunately, they haven't found us yet."

"Oh, yeah, that's great..."

To the words returned, Mr. Ushna showed disappointment because he saw them.

"Hey. I was hoping you'd come sooner than I promised."

Carol keeps pointing her mouth, too.

"Well, don't say that. We're doing the best we can with less time."

Mr. Lambrick reaches for a bunch of unwrought stacked letters on the map.

"I flew birds to people as soon as I heard from you guys about the dark elves. So some of those replies came back yesterday..."

It's a sight I often see in my hometown of Sorletta, but here in Fretterli, too, the exchange of information is basically carried out by means of a letter linked to a bird.

"Something bothered you, too?

"Yeah, well, a few. Yeah, well, you guys are from Auschnell, aren't you?

"Um, yeah, but what happened over there?

"Whatever happened, Sands Wands is back in the king's capital, isn't it? I'm surprised it was crusaded overnight."

"Oh, is that..."

Ritzereich looked at me, then at Saluena. Watching Saluena shake her neck sideways, she snapped her little neck.

"What's wrong with that?

"I don't know what's wrong with you. Even if I had the good fortune that the brave Eichelle was returning home, I don't think I could defeat as many dragons as Sands Wands in one night. It took a whole day to crusade even Lano Lut, the hero."

"There... you see, because there were the Knights of the Goddess and the Wizards who were sheltered. The Knights of the White Lilies will also be stationed."

"Knights of the Goddess!! Is it true that that dark purple knight Hadion is leading that!?

Mr. Lambrick devoured with great momentum the words of Toslin, who was uttered with an uneaten face.

"Yeah, yeah, it's true..."

"Oh, I knew it... If you're not in such a difficult position, I'd like to go to Auschnell and worship your honor right now."

"What, you want to see Hadion?

"It's obvious. Master Hadion is the most powerful knight of all mankind, isn't he? As a swordsman, I can't believe I don't want to see you!

Mr. Lambrick continues to feel excited.

"A knight of betrayal is stigmatized, but I don't know what happened to him. That's why the goddess has forgiven the sin and sent you in this age beyond the millennium!!

"Oh, oh... yeah, I guess so?

Toslin blinks his eyes at Mr. Lambrick for the first time in his transformation.

"Oh, I want to see you, Master Hadion. And if I can, I want to wave my sword under her."

……

I see Saluena with a puzzled face. I'm laying low because I don't want to impose it at the moment, but in this case, should I reveal who I am? Some little guilt is floating around in my chest, getting a little bigger with the mockingbirds.

"Then you'll be spoiled by the goddess and begged by the wizard. Hadion and the Knights of the Goddess of the Fifty or so, if they were to give their swords to him."

The habit of prank lovers has begun, or that's what Saluena said as she hid her mouth with her hands.

(- Huh!? Hey, Saluenah!?

"Oh, I hear you are. A red-haired wizard with a dragon killing alias. Dear Apostle, blessed with protection from the goddess Ilua. Rumor has it you have enough power to drill a hole in the mountain."

"Yeah, yeah, well, actually, it seems to be the truth that you destroyed the mountain from the inside out with a stupid big tree, not a hole."

Even Carol said that for fun.

"Mountains, from the inside... I can't catch up on what the wizard does, but it doesn't make sense in circles. But being able to do that means you're still real..."

"Yeah, definitely. Auschnell was safe that day because she was nothing but a girl from Ichii who inspired courage to fight."

The snort of your sister, the high priest, seems to have led to a series of rumors in Mr. Lambrick that have become more convincing and truthful enough to believe.

"Right...... If Auschnell had been devastated, this Lowenna could have been the next target. I would really like to thank the apostles who fought for us instead of the Knights."

Mr Lambrick said so and put his hands together in front of his chest, for a short time, but closed his eyes and offered prayers.

"Well, the story flew away, but it's time to talk about why I called you here"

"Yes. Please."

If we keep talking about the Knights any more, I'm going to say something extra out of guilt. I corrected my residence and waited for Mr. Lambrick's next words.

"In this letter, we talked about Auschnell earlier, and it contains information from various places. But unfortunately, there was no information about the dark elves."

"Yeah, I heard that far. So?"

Mr. Lambrick handed Carol one letter.

That's why I called you here today.

"What does it say?

"Eh? Hmm?"

Carol starts staring at the letters with a crease between her eyebrows, but she doesn't get an answer inside to see if there are many difficult words.

"Oh, lend it to me already. Uh, what...?" We did an investigation into the case, but we didn't even find the person. Instead, write here the information obtained in this direction at the moment '"

Toslin starts reading aloud instead... but it only seemed to say that the letter, like the other letters, has no information about dark elves in particular.

"'- The above is all of the information currently available in our Church. We will continue to investigate, but if we can, we would also like to send you their information." "

"That was in reply to a letter sent to a church in a village north of here. Well, as you've just heard, there's nothing in particular to see... Tosliln, can you please continue?

"What? No, even if it goes on, it's already..."

"There, it says, wouldn't it? At the end. Be polite with your seal and your name."

Mr Lambrick tells me that Toslin drops another eye on the letter. Then, the eyes of the slit length narrowed slowly.

"Yeah, sure, it says so."

She snorts. And I looked up from the letter. A gaze reminiscent of a sword slowly moved to see the air.

"Barjessica Church......"

Its toslin gaze is......

"Ushna Brovans"

At some point I stood off the table, caught Mr. Ushna.
