Gu Zhiqi: "The Heartless Path can be cultivated through severing ties and cutting off affections, but the seven emotions and six desires are human nature; many can’t achieve it."
"Rather than severing affections, it is better to plant emotions within, yet remain untroubled, unfazed, and unattached."
Ling Muyan, upon hearing this, felt enlightened, "So, it can be done this way."
"Yet, to be untroubled by emotions, unfazed, unattached, it’s incredibly challenging."
Gu Zhiqi: "Therefore, cultivation not only requires training the body but also the mind."

Ling Muyan asked another question, "Miss Gu, have you practiced the Heartless Path?"
Gu Zhiqi: "I have, but I changed paths."
Because her master said she wasn’t suited for the Heartless Path, as she couldn’t be unattached.
"So, paths can be changed," Ling Muyan murmured softly.
Her determination was too deep.
She had never considered changing paths.
Hearing Gu Zhiqi’s words today gave her a sense of sudden realization.
After murmuring, she added, "If only I had met you earlier."
Gu Zhiqi: "Meeting earlier might not change anything for you. The reason you can listen to me now is because you’ve let go of the obsession in your heart."
Ling Muyan was speechless.
