Chapter 2197: All the Same; Jin Family Clan
Pushing the door open, the room was cloaked in darkness until Jin Qingke switched on the light, brightening the studio.
Then, the four of them entered the studio together.
The studio was piled high with paintings, and many were hanging on the walls.
After entering the studio, Gu Zhiqi’s gaze fell on those paintings, "Are all the ones on the wall Little Uncle’s?"

Jin Qingke: "Not entirely, some are mine, and others belong to different people."
As Jin Qingke spoke, he moved towards a corner.
In the corner was a cardboard box. Jin Qingke bent down, began to open the box, and then took a painting out from inside.
There was still a white cloth wrapped around the painting. After Jin Qingke removed the cloth, he looked at Gu Zhiqi, "All those on the wall were painted by me, and they’re quite ordinary. Come over here, look at this one."
Upon hearing this, Gu Zhiqi stepped over.
Fu Wangchan and Jin Cenglv also followed suit.
Once the three reached Jin Qingke’s side, they saw the painting clearly.
It was a traditional ink painting.
There were mountains, water, clouds, mist, a lone boat, flying birds, and a ferryman.
Jin Cenglv and Fu Wangchan were left speechless, staring fixedly at the painting, their eyes full of fervor.
Gu Zhiqi gazed at the painting for a long time, finally shifting her gaze to the seal on the painting.
After discerning the seal’s appearance, Gu Zhiqi quickly averted her gaze, looking elsewhere.
Seeing Gu Zhiqi gazing back at the wall paintings, Jin Qingke spoke up, "Take a look at this one. It’s far more appealing than those."
Gu Zhiqi: "They all look the same to me."
On hearing this, Jin Qingke immediately became anxious, "How can they be the same? Look at this water, don’t you feel it really flows? And the clouds, the mist, and the boat, they’re moving, too."
Upon hearing this, Gu Zhiqi remained silent, only nodding perfunctorily in agreement.
Seeing that she wasn’t captivated by Yun Ling’s painting, Jin Qingke began explaining it to Gu Zhiqi.
However, after the explanation, Gu Zhiqi still seemed lacking in interest. Jin Qingke finally gave up on the idea of attracting Gu Zhiqi to painting.
It seems this child might really lack a painting gene.
They lingered in the studio for a while before leaving, and Fu Wangchan took the landscape painting out of the studio with him.
After exiting the studio, Jin Qingke completely abandoned the idea of attracting Gu Zhiqi to painting.

That night, the four members of the Gu Family stayed at the Jin Family’s place.
The next day, Patriarch Jin took Jin Huaqing, Gu Mojue, and Gu Zhiqi to the Jin Family Ancestral Hall.
Although the three of them were entered into the Gu Family Genealogy, it was also necessary to bring them to pay respects to the ancestors.
The Jin Family Ancestral Hall was located within the Jin Family residence. The moment they stepped into the ancestral hall, Gu Zhiqi’s gaze was drawn to the portraits hanging above the hall.
Previously, she had heard from an elder in the Mystic Alliance that they had seen someone very much like her in the Jin Family Ancestral Hall.
At the time, she forgot after hearing it, but now, walking into the Jin Family Ancestral Hall, Gu Zhiqi suddenly recalled this matter.
So, upon entering the main hall of the ancestral hall, Gu Zhiqi’s gaze fell on the portraits.
However, after searching for some time, Gu Zhiqi couldn’t find the portrait the elder had mentioned.
After the Jin Family Patriarch finished offering incense, he instructed Jin Huaqing and the other three to come forward one by one to offer incense.
Once they finished offering incense, Gu Zhiqi asked the Jin Family Patriarch, "Have these portraits of the Jin ancestors always been the only ones displayed here?"
Upon hearing this, the Jin Family Patriarch looked up at the top of the ancestral hall, then nodded, "In my memory, there have indeed only been these few. Is there an issue?"
Gu Zhiqi spoke to the Jin Family Patriarch about what she had heard from Elder Jin earlier, "When I was in the Mystic Alliance, I met an elder from the Jin Family. He said he had seen a portrait in the Jin Family Ancestral Hall depicting someone who looks very much like me."
